Had it for over a month and so far it exceeds expectations. The speed is great, wifi connection good, and the retina display is jaw-droppingly beautiful. Wish the battery lasted longer but charging it is no problem. Other thing is my Brother printer isn't a compatible "airprinter", which is a downer, but not a huge deal as I don't need to print directly much. Web browsing is fun, iMessage replaces texting from my cell phone (saving me $$), and streaming videos is a joy. This is my first tablet and I couldn't be happier. Oh yeah, I got the 16gb and it fills up fast.. Do yourself a big favor and get at least 32gb, I wish I did.

Absolutely love it. So sharp a picture. It was a great decision to purchase this one instead of the standard IPad. Well worth the extra memory and money spent.

The spectacular 9.7 inch Retina Display in Apple's full-size iPad is now matched with a custom System-on-Chip (SoC) that has the graphic muscle to take full advantage of its capabilities. The screen on this iPad is incredible! It totally blows away my HDTV.The 4th generation iPad also offers an overall speedier response than the 3rd generation model, along with the tiny new Lightning connector instead of a traditional 30-pin type. If you have a lot of peripherals that fit the older connector, you will need to a buy an adaptor if you want to keep using themI find myself using the iPad for roughly 80% of the activities that I used to do on my laptop. It is now my first choice for web browsing, and it is great for reading e-books. And it is more and more often my preferred way to watch movies and TV programs.Before buying, I compared this iPad to other high-quality tablets such as the 10-inch Nexus. As far as the displays go, the iPad was the clear winner. If the quality of the graphics is high on your list of priorities for a tablet, the 4th generation iPad is far and away the best choice.

Pretty cool. I wish it was lighter but only well. Screen is awesome. Battery lasts 10 hours of heavy use.

I bought two Ipads one daughter going off to the Navy & my other graduating with her Bachelor's Degree going on to get her Masters the Ipads are very nice a little pricey but the resistance to viruses for apple products was the final seller for me. So far the kids love them and they work as described. The seller was great and they arrived very quickly!!

This is the second iPad at home. I received the iPad1 two years ago as a gift that I turned to my wife. When the iPad came into the market I thought it was just a bigger iPod touch, but it is much more than that. Its display allows to be used as a game pad for kids or adults, a great news paper reader, e-book reader, photo frame, instant internet browser and as I have done, reading personal and corporate e-mail. Its vast application store gives you access to thousand of free applications.Early adopters of iPad has the benefit of downloading free applications (or 99c apps) that later required purchased or a price increment, but as an early adopter those apps can be downloaded to you new iPad without requiring to purchase them again.Unless not all applications has been upgraded to the new retina display, it is noticeable when you open your photo library or the background photo. In some cases those not upgraded applications seems worst because the HD display make bad pictures to seem worse (similar to watching a SD program on an HD TV).The drawback that I have noticed on both iPhone 4S and newiPad (I have not tested the iPad1) is that when I connect them to my car AUX input they both does not seem to give enough power volume, so it requires to turn car stereo volume to it's maximum, so a lot of noise is then perceived. I do compare with an classic iPod and a Blackberry that perform much better on this circumstances.I have purchased a magnet case, but I have turned off the turn on on open since there are a lot of miss fires due an small movement. There should be a setting to turn it on by opening and touching the screen or something to prevent miss fire.One thing that I miss on iPad is the ability to take pictures even it is blocked (as the iPhone 4S) also to mute music when it is locked.

The back of the ipad has some damage and the front camera has a black line through the image. The screen creeks or squeaks when I touch on it. Beware I think when they say like new they lied.

I expected at list the a minimum cover case, to protect the iPad, the costs is high, so interesting a minimum protection. After we can buy a case more sophisticated.

My only disappointment is how extremely delicate this iPad is, and how I wish I had purchased a better case to protect it around my kids! It survived one drop to the floor, but the screen cracked a bit on the corner, and now I have a Military protective case on it for life!

First thing's first - I'm an Apple guy. I've loved the simplicity, feel and genuine intuitiveness of their products, ever since I got my very first "Mac"top and iPod. When the hoopla of the iPad (1st generation) came out a couple years ago, I wasn't necessarily impressed; in fact, I was more confused that people would lay so much money down for what I considered (and so many did too, at first) to be a large iPhone, minus the cell phone function. However, I I L-O-V-E my iPhone and couldn't imagine having a Blackberry again. Upon my usage of the new iPad through a significant other, I was able to log some substantial hands on time with the device and I've got to say I was impressed and eventually got one of my own. The most important feature of the latest iPad is, of course, the Retina display, an amazing feature that deserves the acclaim it's received. I only had a couple times handling the previous iPad 2, but I can also definitely tell the processor outputs faster than previous generations, if only slightly (and hardly noticeable) - in fact, the only MAJOR draw for upgrading to the latest iPad is the display. Sure, the iPad 3 is pretty much everything the iPhone is, but reading books (I bought my first - the Steve Jobs biography - recently) is a dream on it, as well as seeing the apps in all their glory blown up to size. In short, the new iPad is everything you could ask for in a tablet and more, but upgrading isn't pertinent unless you're in a line of work or simply use the iPad 3 for visuals.

I rate it 3 because, i use to had the itouch second generation and I loved it! It had lots of space! But for my christmas gift I got this iPad. First i was really excited! but then i realizd that you couldnt have much apps, it took AGES for it to be completely charged! and i just dont like it as much as I did with my touch

I have owned an iPad first generation for several years and used it mostly when I traveled. I saw other people using their camera equipped iPads and thought I might like that and the ability to use FaceTime away from home.I was more than pleased with this latest version of Apple's iPad.The display is amazing. I find that I use it all the time, at home as well as away from home.I love doing a back up in the Cloud. The transfer using Cloud from my old to new iPad was effortless. With in a couple of minutes everything I needed, apps, contacts and music was ready to go.

Spend all evening on my ipad. I didn't think it would be such an important part of my entertainment, but you can play games, do puzzles, read books, surf and shop... it has caused me to rarely open my laptop anymore.

My wife had seen an iPad and, being a painter, liked the graphics apps that were available for it, so since it was her birthday... She loves it and now does everything on it... email, graphics, etc. Well worth the money.
