Update: 10/2025: After a year my Amazfit Active is still getting 10 days on a single charge. Absolutely love this watch. Great at doing everything it claims! Exercise, sleep, heart stats and all. Highly recommend!
Update: 12/2024: Yes I believe it can be a fragile watch and yes I believe you should keep it away from all water and do not tempt fate with a shower or swimming pool, but that being said.... Tech support came through for me and replaced my watch with a new one when it was probably my fault for getting into a swimming pool with the watch on. The Zepp app has significant improvements. I like it! I use my watch a lot with daily treadmill and weightlifting exercises. Is the algorithm scientifically perfect. I doubt it, but it is terrific for me. The Bluetooth reception is phenomenal. I can literally be nearly 40 ft away from my phone in a completely different room with walls in between and answer a phone call/talk with the watch. So many watch faces to choose from! The battery life, even with exercise, easily gives me up to 14 days. Amazfit has hired a few more support members for US customers. Extremely happy! I will replace this with another Amazfit Active if it becomes necessary to do so.
Update: "This watch is returned frequently" quote from Amazon. The Amazefit Active is fully equipped with all the bells and whistles. However, it will last about one year. The toll free number for support says they are no longer accepting phone calls and then says there is only one person for all of North America. Purchase with your "eyes wide open". I like the watch as Smart Watches go, but I can tell this is going to be a fragile piece of equipment. Do not shower or swim with it. Also, there's no protection between the charger and the contacts underneath the watch. All the crud that gets on the skin will be transferred to the charging contact points. The battery life of 14 days is an absolute truth. The calling and speaking function of the watch is a bit distorted. It works, but don't buy it for the answering and speaking purpose. It uses the app called Zepp. I do not believe it is scientifically accurate, but I do use it to count my calories, my steps, get my text messages and send text message responses, replace watch faces and a lot more. It also allows you to do voice to text responses to SMS messages. Pretty cool. I suggest you buy a screen protector if scratches on the watch face drive you crazy. In summary, I suggest you will need to purchase a new one each year if you fall in love with the watch.

i love my watch however, i’ve had it for less than a year the first one malfunctioned, got it replaced, had it for 4 months and its malfunctioned again. i love it for swimming, since it is water resistant, but after a while it stopped working again. it sucks because i love the watch, but i hate how it stops working after a while. if your a swimmer, BE CAREFUL.

I finally got my wife and daughter to make the move, and they don't regret it for a second!
The battery life alone far exceeds that of their Apple Watches. They can now go several days, about a week (depending on use and GPS/Sensor settings) on one charge rather than hours to a day as before.
They have all the tracking functions and features they need or want, gain the ability to track their sleep rather than having the watch on a charger overnight, and don't miss their old watches at all.

Originally had a Wear OS device but switched to an Amazfit GTS2 for the longer battery life and square design. Eventually got a GTR4 as a gift so this is my 3rd Amazfit smartwatch to replace the GTS2 after the battery life shortened & the pedometer started getting wonky. Overall I prefer Wear OS but sticking with Amazfit due to the much longer battery life.
Pros
* Battery Life: On a regular day this only burns 5% of battery life. If you do anything like running/walking that uses GPS, you will lose 5% in an hour. I should be able to get 2 weeks off of 1 full charge.
* Price: Very decent price for what you get.
* Screen: Gets pretty bright & the AMOLED screen is attractive.
Cons
* Double vibrate: Wish that it would only vibrate once for notifications and cannot find a way to change it.
* Random Reboots: This thing will occasionally reboot when I am in Strength Training mode for more than 1.5 hours.
* Workout Mode: This takes over watch face & give you spoken updates. The only way I can check anything during my workouts is to long press the button (programmed to settings) & then press again once the settings appears to get back to the watch face.
So-So
* Build Quality: For the price cannot really complain but the plastic does feel on the cheap side as does the band.
* Accessories: Not a lot of cases to pick from. Does use the same charger as a GTS2 so did not have to buy extras.
* Operating System: Not sure what OS this is but it is not as good as Wear OS but for the price difference it is fine.

I wanted a smartwatch that I could take calls on, has robust features, and wasn't incredibly expensive. I've been very happy with it over the year or so of owning it.
The Zepp app is OK, though I ended up disabling notifications.
Tracking has been nice, especially workouts.

Nice size for me. I don't care for big bulky watches. Display is bright and sharp. Navigation to most common screens is not bad but could be better. Got this to replace and older Amazfit watch which was similar. Zepp app for this is different from my old watch. Main screen display highlights Readiness score which means nothing to me. Old one highlighted steps which I do pay attention to. Now I have to scroll way down the access step data.

Great battery life, I've had it a year and it is still lasting 14 days. It is great if all you want is the basics. It's sleep hours tracking is pretty bad. My Garmin before this was much better at sleep tracking but the battery only lasted two years, so this seems to be beating the Garmin. I don't mess with sports tracking, so I can't evaluate that, but it does keep track of my O2 levels which I need since I have sleep apnea. Also handy because it lets me know when I have a call or notification, so I can go get my phone, which is never where I am, as well as showing me who's calling and any text they leave. Overall all I love it and would buy again. Oh, also it has a nice easily accessible sleep function which gives you a good low-light time display only when you push the button, so it doesn't wake you with a flare when you move at night.

Cons: I don't care for the app at all. It's confusing, It doesn't seem to track history for anything but sleep. I have yet to see it record my activity and I exercise five days a week for 45 minutes. If there's a video explaining it, that would be helpful but I haven't found it yet. They need way more documentation or videos so users could get over the top of the learning curve. Another issue is It seems they are pushing another subscription. If I wanted to bleed my bank account maybe, but I Don't!

fantastic battery life - only need to charge once or twice a month and it charges in about an hour. first bought a cheaper watch but it only lasted a day before needing a charge. 4 not 5 stars as it won't (yet?) sync with my digital scale - it only writes to the health data on my phone - it says it can read data but is not programmed to do so. tracks sleep nicely. Workout choices a re a bit funky for an ACTIVE named watch - ice skating is the only winter sport (no ski or snowboard track - which is on other watches by this maker) - yet you can track how long you play board games.... SMH. No blood pressure monitor (which was on the cheapie watch I first bought) doesnt display body temp, just tracks 'change" in average skin temp. Odd. Heart monitoring simplistic too - no trace provided. But its not a medical device. Overall happy with it.

I love this watch so much! It works seamlessly, it doesn't glitch. It does everything that the description claims it does, and so much more. Pedometer seems to be working great. After trying knock off brands from Amazon who just never fail to FAIL, and not seeing a point of spending $400 on a big brand watch - this one is more rhan perfect!
It's lightweight, it works great with my android. I'm able to respond to messages from it. I get all of the notifications. It tracks my workouts very well. My sleep as well. It feels comfortable on my wrist. It was not too complicated to set up. I'm able to connect my data with my calorie tracking app via health connect. It seems to be durable. There are plenty of bands to choose from on Amazon, cause the band size is universal.
I'd say it's perfect for a girl, cause it's not bulky by any means which was one of the major reasons why I waited up until not to get a smart watch.
I highly recommend! Functionality vs the price makes this watch a steal!

I have had this watch for approximately a year now. I am clumsy, uncoordinated, and generally hard on electronics. It has proven itself capable of keeping up with me with only a few very small scratches to show for it. I got it to track my heart rate, sleep, and steps because of several medical conditions and it has dutifully tracked all of those every day for a year. The purported 14 day battery life is not angry exaggeration, even now at a year old, and it charges incredibly quickly. It is also water proof enough to be worn while swimming, and I wear it while showering regularly. It even has a convenient little feature where, when you're done doing whatever has gotten it wet, you press a button and it will activate a fan that forcefully blows air out through the mic to clear the water. I really can't stand silicone straps, so i replaced that immediately, and a standard quick change watch strap works perfectly. I have no complaints and will replace it with the same whenever it finally dies in an untold number of years.

I've been using this daily watch for 16 months and I am very happy with it. I wear it in the pool and also ocean snorkeling with no problems. It tracks my workout and sleep. I would definitely buy an Amazfit watch again.

I have the Samsung Active 2 LTE, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 LTE, Fitbit Sense, Charge 6 and Luxe, the Amazfit GTS4, and GTS4 Mini. Unfortunately most of the smartwatches hurt my wrist. The Fitbit Charge and Luxe are more comfortable, but lack features I want. This is a really nice upgrade to the GTS Mini 4, only a tiny bit bigger, but am loving it so much I purchased the gold/pink one too.

My second Amazfit watch. Bought the Active because it can answer and make phone calls and the sound is good and people have no problem hearing me talk. Also, you can store several watch faces (not limited to two like the GTS2 Mini). Music even plays reasonably loud for a small watch but don't expect to hear any base notes. Battery life is astounding. My old fitbit got 2 days max, the Active gets 12-14 days with moderate usage including 4-5 times using the GPS. Great features like the compass, oxygen level, stop watch, find my phone, etc. Also, I store all my cards under Memberships so they just scan my watch face for entry or rewards. Step accuracy is very good and the screen is crystal clear.
Now, what I don't like.
The heart rate works fine and then for no reason it says my HR is 130 during a walk and I'll check it and its around 80. Even during a easy run it said my rate was 160 when it was around 120. Not sure why and doesn't seem to be anyway to correct it. Guess I'm amazed it can take a HR period.
Zepp app is so so. Often it's hard to figure out where to go to make changes to some of the screens; like adding or removing apps or changing the workout list, etc. If you like playing around and figuring things out you'll be OK but if you don't, it can be frustrating.
Overall a great watch for the money and has lots of features.
Now, what I don't like.

Note: i also have a garmin forerunner over $250 which i love and also has hrv and readiness score using what they call body battery
So, how is this different or better? Better in these ways: The amazfit active has better stress and mental readiness scores, an app that includes more health information, and a ai bot that can encourage and answer questions in real time. In addition there is free breathing tools on the device, great gps, and phone connectivity.
The Zepp app includes Aura aibot which has an add payable service to syncs music and sounds for meditation, sleep, and relaxing based on your heart rate. Very wow for insomniacs valuing life giving sleep. The cost is $40 per year unlimited. But limited is free and it is a bargain. And you get Amazon music and Alexa built in.
There is a coaching service that i do not use because I’m in love with the bodbot app. Nice that all thise movements are recorded on my amazfit.
Amazfit app syncs seamlessly with apple health for people in the i- universe. I have an iPhone and a Google pixel phone for their various strengths. But for fitness apple health rocks. Sorry Google, i know you are working on it.
This is a high value low price device. It lacks one thing my garmin forerunner has- fall or accident detection with auto dial for help if you are unresponsive.
A worthwhile high end features and faithful device with lots of watch faces and an app with lovely graphics and an aibot. I love it.
PS i speak fluent Fitbit and Apple Watch. The lack of a good magnet charger and their much shorter battery life drop them from my best product list. Apple Watch is gold standard and very pricey. Fitbit support is allegedly to be dropped in 2025-26. Do your homework.

I can’t even tell you how much searching I did before I finally chose this Amazfit. I have been a Fitbit user for umpteen years but was beyond disappointed with my last purchase because more than half the features didn’t work and I couldn’t return it, nor could I connect with anyone to help me. So it was time to make a change. While I have struggled with navigating and understanding the Zepp app, I absolutely love this fitness tracker. There are a couple things that bother me, such as the error I get when checking my heart rate when I know for a fact I am wearing it correctly, and it does not match up with my treadmills distance tracking, also, I find myself having to “swipe” repeatedly to get to different screens on the tracker itself. With that said, this has been the best fitness tracker I have ever owned, and trust me when I say I am beyond picky!! I hold great expectations for this gadget, so I am praying it lasts.

As a senior citizen that has used Fitbit's for years, I will state that I am very impressed overall. The features on Amazfit far surpass my Fitbit Sense 2! For my age, the safety features and basic health feature are far more important than the exercise/fitness features so this review is based on those factors.
Note: This particular fitness watch, Amazfit Active, is cute. However, I decided to switch it for the GTS 4 that was more age appropriate.
Pro's:
It was simple to setup. I recommend watching the video on the Amazfit site before you start.
It stays connected to my phone without dropping, even when I'm not close to my phone.
It offers safety features, like being able to make a call out from my watch should I fall.
You can easily program contact phone numbers to dial out.
Customer Service is very helpful, however, there is not a direct contact number.

The Active has a plastic base (Pink, Lilac or Black) as well as strap.
The step count was way off for around the house steps. It counts correctly if you are on a walk, swinging your arms and walking over 10 steps at a time.
The GTS 4 seems to be missing some of the features that were on the Active. The Readiness Score, Morning Update and fall detection do not seem to be available. Hopefully, Amazfit will be able to correct this problem.

This is an OK watch, good for the price I guess.
The big problem with this watch is that the Bluetooth is severely under-powered. I wanted to be able to download my music onto my watch (successful) and then go work out or jogging without having to carry my phone around. The Bluetooth connection from the watch to the headphones was so weak that if the watch is more than a foot away from the headphones the connection breaks in and out. I know it wasn't the headphones because my phone could be 20 feet away and I can listen just fine.
The pulse rate is consistently 7 to 12 bpm off. Sometimes high, sometimes low.
The pedometer is based solely on motion of the arm so it doesn't record a lot of steps. For example, when I mow my 1/2 acre lot which is about 2000 steps the watch will record 0.
It seems that the GPS feature of the watch is dependent on the GPS on your phone so it is useless (if you have to carry your phone, just use the phone).
The sleep function is OK but seems to be incorrect a lot. For example, when I had a bad night and was awake from 3 AM to 5 AM it counted that as light sleep (2 minutes awake). In addition, every time you roll over it lights up so if you are a light sensitive sleeper you may want to take the watch off at night.
Overall, this seems like it is just an extension of your phone so you may as well just carry your phone and save the money unless you really want a cheesy looking watch.

I like the watch and for the price of the watch it works really well, has a long battery life and can see messages from my phone on it. The only thing I dislike is that I can’t use the find my phone feature without the app being open on the phone and not as much workout options as a Samsung watch.

I like this watch but it does have its issues. It is a good health tracking watch. A few changes could make it great health tracking watch.
Pros:
1. Very Bright Screen. The screen is bright and colorful. I have it set to about 15% brightness or less and I have no trouble seeing anything on the screen.
2. Great OS. The Operating System is very responsive and easy to navigate. Virtually no latency when swiping on the screen.
3. Long Battery Life. I have been using this watch for 10 days now and so far it has worked well. The battery is still at 46% on day 10. I even have the watch set to scan me at least once every minute.
Cons:
1. Extremely Poor selection of free watch faces
2. Poor selection of apps
3. Very temperamental when taking the stress test. It didn't have any issues getting a reading the first week I had it, but it does now.
4. Soft glass. The screen is easy to scratch.
5. My biggest complaint is that I CANNOT pair another device to the Zepp app at the same time as my watch.
6. The Zepp app also does NOT allow devices from other manufacturers to pair with it. This is a major negative.

I have had this watch for a while now it is intuitive and helps me monitor my sleep which I really needed. I've went up to 16 days without charging That's delightful to not have to run to the charger every couple of days. I love the band too. It's soft and pliable and feels good on my wrist.

Work's Great, I love all the things it can do. Fits my small wrist well, so far the battery has lasted 7 days and it has 76% remaining!
Easy to read and light weight, I can hardly tell I'm wearing it. 100's of watch faces to download quite a lot are Free and look great.

Fue un regalo para mi esposa, y ahora ella hace su Fitness con él. Está muy contenta con este reloj y lógicamente si está contenta yo estoy contento por qué se pone muy cariñosa conmigo jjjj. Generalmente a los productos AMAZFIT, todos son muy buenos, yo tengo ya varios años de estar usándolo y nunca he tenido problemas cinco estrellas

It’s a decent watch for the price. It does 80% of the things a $200 watch does. It however is SUPER finicky and gets really annoying to use. Like the screen only wants to turn on like 1/4 of the time I try to press the button or tap the screen or motion it on. And it’s even worse when it’s in sleep mode. The app doesn’t have much features and 1/3 of the app you have to basically pay and subscribe to get the features. There’s an uploading music feature which is cool but it genuine takes hours to upload a few songs so it’s basically pointless and just easier to have your phone with you anyway. The heart rate tracking is weird and isn’t just always on it’s just refreshes how ever frequent you set it too. It doesn’t connect to any of the fitness tracking or nutrition apps I use like MyFitnessPal.

A watch that guides me when I'm lost using its GPS, reminds me to drink water, walk, or take medication, connects with Alexa, and lets me answer calls. It has countless functions, and above all, it's very stylish.

Does everything I need! Looks great and you can customize the watch face with many free choices or a hugh selection of ones for purchase. It is very comfortable to wear, and I only take it off to charge. And speaking of charging - I absolutely love the battery life!!! I literally only charge it once every 2 weeks under my normal use. Even if I use it extra, I have always been able to go over a week without charging! ( I love to tease my wife who has to charge her Apple watch every day - I told her if she just bought a "good" watch!) Connects to my phone with Bluetooth and tracks my sleep, my workouts - I can get notifications on it and even place or receive a phone call if I want (although sound quality isn't the best with it's tiny speakers!) This is my second Amazfit Active watch, and probably not my last!

La correa me a provocado esta reacción, he usado muchos relojes y correas hasta baratas de otras tiendas ne línea ninguna me había provocado esta reacción!!!!! De terror.
Mucho cuidado.
Hoy he estado gran parte de la tarde y la noche configurando el reloj provee el ritmo cardíaco con el de mi medidor de presión accu chek y dio exactamente igual, lo he comprado para monitorear algunos parámetros de salud y para ir agregando algunos ejercicios más adelante haré una actualización.
A simple vista lo que no me ha gustado es poder encender el reloj con un toque en la pantalla sin necesidad de apretar el botón o mantener activado la opción de levantar la mano. Seguiré probando, he cambiado este por el xiaomi mi band 7 pro, el cual he usado por más de un año y me va muy bien pero es pulsera y no podía contestar llamadas

I've had several Amazfit watches over the years. My current favorite is the GTR4 (round, feature-packed, nice looking watch). I had always wanted to get the GTS4 (the square version) for a second choice, but couldn't bring myself to spend the money for it (It was around $150 at the time - still a good price, but I felt guilty, since the GTR4 was already so great!). Then the Amazfit Active came along for $84, so I decided to get it. I'm so happy I did. I got the black color, but it comes in a few more. I love the watch! It's super lightweight and feels great on my wrist. I even like the fold under strap - nice and neat. This little watch is pretty much the GTS4 minus a few features. It doesn't have a barometer or altimeter (but it does have a compass), no automatic brightness, and no camera remote (I think you can actually get one if you pay for an app). There isn't storage space on the watch for music, which doesn't bother me, since I don't store music on my GTR4, anyway. Other than that, I can't think of any features it doesn't have that my other watch does; and for everyday use, I don't miss those features. There is a single flat button on the side (no rotating crown), and I think it makes this watch look more sleek and compact. There are a ton of free watch faces, and the app store with many of the same apps as I have on the GTR4. The vibration is strong enough to wake me when I'm sleeping. The speaker is not quite as loud as the GTR4, but loud enough for telephone calls. Texting has the added feature of using a tiny keyboard to type responses, which I've actually been able to do when my phone was charging, so a pretty cool feature. The GPS is accurate. I believe it can do some of the same navigation that the GTR4 does (primitive map display, bread crumbs, return route), but I don't know how big of a route you can store on it, since I haven't used that feature (I'd take the larger watch with the extra memory on a hike). The heartrate, steps, sleep tracking, blood O2, and other health features are the same as the GTR4. The display, while smaller, is still easy to read and contains all the information you need in texts, health data, etc. Battery life is very good. I average about 10 days with moderate GPS use (walks or bike rides in my neighborhood, an hour at a time, three or four days a week). All in all, this is a great watch, and I'm happy I decided on this rather than the GTS4 (By the way, as of this writing, the GTS4 is $129!). I highly recommend this watch, and the Amazfit brand in general.

**update** if you are using the media/music app to stream from your phone or android auto go through, your battery will only last about 2-3 days. I stopped and it is back to over 10 days. I have had this watch over 2 mos and still pleased.
I was trying this since I gave up on my Galaxy watching not lasting a full day. I can get almost 2 weeks charge and I have app & text notifications. I have had it almost a month and charged it twice.
There is a lot of configuring to have it work like I wanted it to. I wanted to make sure that I could answer text messages, even if it is just a canned response, I can at least get back without my phone.
I have only used the call speaker once and I was told it wasn't totally clear but it works.
I will stick with the Amazfit brand and recommend it.

My first smartwatch and I love it!!! It does everything I need it to do and more. Also,I got the case protector with built in screen and the different color watchbands and it looks awesome!!! I definitely recommend it!!!! Bluetooth works well and you can turn it on and off. I wear it to record my sleep, for reminders and events, getting weather and my calendar, and getting my 10,000 steps in everyday. I have over 20 watchfaces in it. Gps is built in and works pretty accurate. It has over 100 types of excersizes and activities. You can upload songs to it from your phone. From Zepp you should download the watch storage app for free so you know when you've reached your limit on storage space. Has many free and useful apps. Works with the Zepp App formerly amazfit and is easy and self explanatory. I also connect to my phone, so i don't have to grab my phone, i get messages & text back, and also the watch will ring on my wrist and i pick it up and talk. It is waterproof, but i haven't wet my watch yet. I've been very cautious with it. I charge it every 10 to 11 days. I love this watch. It really is amazing and has so many features, everyday i learn something new about my Amazfit Active watch. You won't regret it. My advice is do alot of research and read alot before buying and make sure that it is really what you need. I waited 4 months and now I'm truly happy with my purchase! Hope this is helpful to those of you that need a good smartwatch. Thank you and Goodluck!

Fantastic watch at a much lower cost than Apple Watches! This watch even does blood pressure and much more than Apple Watches. I’ve had it since September with no problems and a battery that lasts up to two weeks. I highly recommend this watch!

I really wanted to love this smartwatch. It has so many wonderful features, well executed.
But my two biggest essentials and expectations for living with a smartwatch were not present: 1. No toxic smell, and 2. At least one clock face that I like, that has the info I need, and that is easily readable.
1. To me this watch has a strong strange smell, which I suspect may be toxic solvents from manufacture, that have not been de-gassed. I opened the box yesterday, wore the watch overnight, and have felt sick from it today. The smell is in my clothing, my bedsheets, and my wrist skin. Now I have to detox everything, including myself. I am like a canary, sensitive to environmental toxins. Most people may not even notice the smell. But anyone who has multiple chemical sensitivities should be wary. Maybe leaving the watch out in the sun for a few hot days would take care of it, but I am sending it back today because besides the smell, I could not find a single clock face that I liked.
2. I went through the whole watch face store (only a handful of watch faces are free) with hundreds of offerings, and did not find a single one that could work for me. The outputs I really need are the time in 00:00 format, steps of the day, and heart rate. O2 would be helpful. A weather icon (sunny/cloudy/rainy etc.) and temperature would be very nice. But in every watch face some of my essential items are absent, or they are in a font that is way too small for my older eyes, or the colors or designs jangle and distract my eyes. For me red is distracting, except perhaps for the heart icon for heart rate. And all the free clock faces, and many of the paid ones, feature red. It would be helpful to have viewing access to each smartwatch’s clock face store before ever buying and activating the watch itself. That could have saved Amazfit, Amazon, and me the inconvenience and loss of a next-day return.
3. Another shortcoming that buyers should know, and that I have not seen in any reviews, is that the implementation of Alexa is very limited — just short factual answers, with no podcasts or apps like Pandora allowed. My old Fitbit could play them…

The Amazfit Active is an affordable smartwatch with lots of bells and whistles. I originally purchased the GTS 4, but found the stem was bulky and placed illogically with the slightest wrist bend taking me to the menu screen or rebooting itself. The Active is pretty much identical in shape and functionality but with a flat button making it less prone to accidental pushing by wrist movement and workout gloves.
I am not wild about the silicone strap. It feels cheap and I'm having a hard time finding the right hole to ensure a decent fit on my small wrist. Amazfit makes a "vegan leather" strap for the pink watch it sells but I haven't found any replacement bands explicitly stating they fit the Active, which makes me hesitant to look for an aftermarket band.
The app is okay, but for unknown reasons, some of the settings available with the GTS 4 don't seem to be available for the Active. For example, with the GTS 4, the app/watch was happy enough with the approximate location for displaying weather info. Not so for the Active. It annoys me it won't let me enter a zip code or an approximate location. The exercise/exercise settings feature is difficult to use and set up. I haven't been able to find a way to customize strength training so I tried using the generic indoor fitness (or one of the other ones) but that, too, insisted on counting sets. I would think you could control at least some of the settings in the app but if there's a way, I haven't found it. My last gripe with the app is it reminds me every time I open the app functionality may be limited if I don't give it full access to everything it wants to access. I know this and I don't care. I CHOOSE TO TURN OFF SOME OF THE PERMISSIONS. Yet every single time I open the app, I have to select GOT IT and then exit out of the permissions settings on my phone.
If you don't need a NAMED watch, the Amazfit Active has a nice design, good performance, great battery life and decent price point.

This is my second Amazfit watch. My first, a GTS 2 Mini, I gave to my nephew since it was still in great condition. In the past I've had Fitbits and Fossils and others, so it's rare compliment that I stick with any brand twice.
The battery life is superb. I leave the watch on overnight and only charge when I'm showering. Even better, if I go away on a trip and forget to bring a charger it will still last. How many other watches can give you a week plus of battery life?
This watch has access not only to Alexa but to the Zepp Flow assistant. Speech recognition has been flawless and unlike previous models this has a speaker as well. The features are varied enough that not only does it have the timers and trackers I was looking for, there are more I need to work on building into my routine.
I did find the band to be a bit uncomfortable. But it's a standard 20mm watch band so you can easily replace it with one of your choice. The faces are sufficient, from simple and decorative to the more complex ones I favor with lots of information.
As of November 2024 I did have a minor issue and found the customer support to be excellent.

This thing is awesome. It helps me stay incredibly motivated. You get phone alerts but not sure how to reply back other than with preset texts. But you have to have your phone nearby to get the text (same with apple) so might aswell text them back on your phone. It is absolutely awesome to just see the text incase your phone is in a back pack or wherever nearby but out of reach. You can make calls and it works really great. I think the features of this are a lot more simple and honestly better than an apple watch if you are just looking for something to keep you active without all the bells and whistles of an apple watch. Plus oh my goodness apple anything is so expensive and only compatible with apple... this works with anything. The most AMAZING feature is the breadcrumbs. As someone who hikes alone with my dog, i love having the breadcrumb feature incase I ever get lost (it tracks your workout progress and maps it and you can follow that map backwards). It is waterproof but im not one to push ANY device that says waterproof, but I also dont let it stop me from taking it paddle boarding... I just always stick it in a bowl of rice just incase lol. Connectivity works great most of the time but every once in awhile (like once a month) you need to open the app and let the watch regain access to the gps (honestly I dont fully understand that) but its just what I have experienced. I love the color, I chose the purple because its metal rather than plastic but I immediately changed the band to something with velcro for athletic wear and the velcro bands make it comfortable enough to sleep with. I dont do it often, but it was fun to sleep with it on a few times and feel vindicated in how I thought I was sleeping. sorry for grammar I can not be bother to check that stuff during a review lol

I love my watch! Have told others who have also purchased. Bought another for my husband and one for my granddaughter. I recharge maybe once a month. It has far more functions than I need. I keep up with things on the app. Have purchased them as gifts! (I even purchased a piece of watchband jewelry.) There is an ample supply of faces without purchasing but the choice is available. I have not scratched the face after having it for a couple of years. I purchased a face protector but it fell off. My only complaint is that it is set to notify me of incoming calls on my iPhone. I does not do it. The company is not helpful.

After one week there is still 57% battery remaining. It looks like it can go two weeks on a single charge. I will highly recommend this watch. Did not find any major issues and some little things are not worth mentioning. I ordered this watch after returning the TOZO S6 due to the S6 seemingly draining the battery trying to monitor health while the watch was not being worn. If I were to wear the S6 constantly it still probably would only last four days. Even though the S6 was half the price I would still recommend this one.
UPDATE: I read a review saying the GPS on this watch relied on the GPS on the phone so I decided to test this. I left my phone at home and went for a WALK around the block. I waited for the watch to say GPS positioning to complete and started the exercise. Came back in the house and picked up my phone and looked at the workout to see it had mapped my walk with 100% accuracy. Not sure how the other reviewer did his testing but I can vouch that the GPS is working fine for me.

I purchased this watch back in April and was absolutely loving it until the touch screen became unresponsive in early July. I went to the mfr website and followed the troubleshooting tips to factory reset the watch and after doing that and charging it fully, it began working again. However, just last week (2 weeks after original issue) it happened again only this time, the watch has become completely unresponsive to the touch. The app was still communicating with the watch and I could do things like change the setup or watch face, but the watch itself was dead to the touch. I tried EVERYTHING from the Amazfit website AND from YouTube videos I found....charging, factory reset, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, unpairing and re-pairing the device (which you can't do with an unresponsive screen because you can't click the check mark to accept the pairing), etc. Nothing has worked.
I contacted the mfr via email (they don't answer the phone and while they say you can leave a voicemail, they don't give you a recording option). I will say they were very responsive and got back to me within one business day. They confirmed that I had tried everything and that I should return the watch under warranty (1 year). If Amazfit could fix this issue permanently, I would definitely buy again which is why I gave it two stars.
I contacted the mfr via email (they don't answer the phone and while they say you can leave a voicemail, they don't give you a recording option). I will say they were very responsive and got back to me within one business day. They confirmed that I had tried everything and that I should return the watch under warranty (1 year). I have not mastered all the functions that come with the watch but it certainly meets my daily needs of keeping time, providing notifications and reminders. To date, my only issue is that it doesn't seem to calculate my steps the same as previous watches I've had. I typically had about 7000 steps daily; now I'm lucky if its 4000. Not sure which watch was the more accurate. This watch gives me more incentive to increase my steps.

I first got into smartwatches with the Pebble Time Steel from a kickstarter campaign, it was my constant companion for 10 years between two phones and I loved every second of it because it did everything from notifications from all apps to fun and creative watchfaces, sadly that came to an end when the battery finally gave out. My next smartwatch was this cheap no-name watch off of Noon that cost no more than 60 SR, and I ABHORRED that abomination, it lacked any useful features and it connected to my phone but lacked any reason to do so. I got this Amazfit Active with pretty low expectations, and I have been pleasantly surprised with all that it has been capable of thus far, it does objectly more than the Pebble Time Steel, but lacks in fun creative watch faces, being able to use voice commands to set timers, alarms, etc. has been nice, and the battery life lasts really long even with constant use(roughly 7 days with my experience), I still miss my Pebble, but this has been a pleasant experience all around.

The watch has a soft comfortable band, is lightweight, has a responsive clear screen, and has a quality attractive appearance. The watch is big enough for clear reading but not so big as to be cumberson. About half a smart watch function is the app it uses. I have only used android watches that include several Samsung, Fitbit, many off brand and several Amazfit watches. Amazfit watches use the Zepp app that is comparable to Samsung and Fitbit and superior to the others I have experienced. I only use some of the watch functions, time, day, date, month, heart rate, weight workout, stress, oxygen, and walking. It has pleasing watch faces and good graphics for exercising. It doesn't have some high end features like auto brightness, body composition, and auto stop start when walking. I prefer this to my two other watches, a Samsung watch 7 and a Fitbit Charge 6.

The watch arrived on time and packaged well. I have been buying amazfit watches since they first came out. I first purchased the amazfit bip and then the gts2 and on to the gts4
as they got better. The amazfit active does pretty much the same as the gts4 with the exception of offline voice commands. I am not impressed with the flow assistant. It is slow to respond and not that capable with answers. I don't know why its even on the watch. Alexa voice assistant is much better at responding. One other thing is; the watch doesn't have auto brightness. All together it's a decent watch with just a couple of flaws. I recommend this watch over the big name brands because it does just as much as they do at a much better price. Looks like another amazfit home run!.

The watch has long battery life and works well. I was on a tour and it tracked my travels on the bus, the airplane across the Atlantic and narrow passageways in old parts of towns. The actual tracks seem accurate. BUT the distance traveled is way short… even when I hike in my area with clear view of the sky.

I really like the Active Smart watch but wish there was a better user guide telling you how to get to where you want to be and what all the features are. I was really impressed with the capability of talking and answering calls thru this watch. I can hear clearly and so can the person on the other end. Battery life is wonderful and I like the choices of different watch faces. I will tell you that when you are walking the step count is not accurate if your are pushing a stroller/buggy. Seems you have to be swinging your arms/pumping them for the steps to record. I live in Texas where the humidity is a real issue when I walk my dog and really enjoy that feature being displayed on the main watch face.

Very pleased with this watch. Easy to use and I get about 2 weeks per charge. Has a lot of features if you want them, but doesn't take away from simplicity. I like a sleek looking watch that alerts me of notifications and incoming calls. The watch faces are cool, but it all comes down to battery life. This is a good watch.
