I own this and the guitar versions, MS-50G and MS-70CDR.
They are all good, I prefer the MS-70CDR to the MS-50G, but the MS-60B is the best of the three.
This is the Swiss Army knife of bass pedals and it even includes a tuner.
My only complaint is that synth modes are a bit glitchy, but they are still very good and fun to play around with.
If you're a bass player, you probably don't need a lot of pedals and this will probably do whatever you need.

Taking on the bass guitar after decades of being an electric guitarist was a decision I have not regretted. Regarding effects, it has been like moving from the city to a zen monastery. I just need my bass and an amp (and sometimes not even an amp if going DI!). Rather than buy separate pedals for compression, etc. I decided the MS-60B would be an excellent compromise. Using one pedal doesn't hurt the whole minimalist vibe I've been digging within the bass guitar world. Heck, forget the multieffects - this thing has amp simulators, too! How cool is that? One pedal! No rack!
Well, it is too cool to be true.
I can say without hesitancy that there isn't one effect in this pedal I enjoy. Not one. The amp sims I can take or leave, too. It was a letdown. I should have known better, to be honest.
If you're looking to use this live then I can't recommend it. It will suck the tone out of your rig. I can see how some might find it fun to play around with, though, even though the interface is clunky as all get-out. There is no dedicated power switch so if you want to adjust any of the effects you need to pick it up off the floor (so you can see the tiny screen) and power up with a plug placed into the input jack. That's a standard way to power a pedal but with a multieffects pedal you should have a dedicated power option. This assumes that you are using it battery-operated, of course. You can plug it in with an optional wall-wart but then what is the point of a pedal if you have to plug it in to a power source?
It looks like I'll be buying a compression and tuner pedal separately. Oh, well ... learn and live!

Perhaps I was expecting too much from this pedal. I’ve tried a few ‘cheap’ multi’s in the past and was always disappointed. I was hoping technology had improved these to the point where I could tolerate ‘em but I guess we’re just not there yet. I found this to be nothing more than a ‘neat toy’ that had lots of marginally good effects packed into a single stomp. The pedal is not stage or studio ready. The signal chain is noisy, the effects don’t live up to quality of the originals they try to reproduce, and there’s no true bypass. That last one killed it for me: no matter how I set up the pedal, my ‘bypassed’ or ‘clean’ signal through this pedal was stripped of its tone. The only way to get true bypass is use a line splitter and go around the pedal completely. All that said, for 99 bucks, its fun to dink around with, and I could recommend it to aspiring bassist looking to experiment this huge library of effects. That earns 3 stars; it does what is claims, and is a fun toy to play with.

overdrives and amps simulations are so so but all the other things are very interresting! The sequencer mode is very useful and easy to use, specially for bass. As bassist, I only need 3 or 4 sounds and no changes in the same song.

Good sounds and flexibility. Easy to ajust and fine tune. Amps, overdrive, EQ and distortion are really great but the chorus effects are somewhat ordinary. Overall I'm really satisfied since it was mostly for amps and EQ that I purchased it. Bonus, it's not to noisy afterall. Great price and solid built. Hope it last. By the way, Zoom recommands a 500 mA power supply. I work it along with 3 other pedals on a 200 mA.

It's pretty decent and has a lot of functionality. I use it a single effect unit, but can switch effects if needed. Think of it like have 4 effect units strung together, but you can only turn one on and off at a time unless you bend down to scroll to the other effect. So, for using it as a single effect of your choice, it sounds decent. The tuner is pretty quick and accurate so that is a double function.

There is a megathread on TalkBass that goes through this pedal. The effects sound good. Nothing mind exploding but for the price there is no way you could go wrong.
I haven't tweaked the pedal or even gotten into 10% of what it can do b/c I am a plug and play kind of guy. So I haven't really learned all of the ins and outs of the pedal, but the effects are great...especially at this price.
I would give it 5 stars, but I just don't really know how to program everything in it yet....if I did it would probably be 5 stars. That is reflective of me more than the pedal.

Noisy, period. I've had most of Zoom's bass pedals and they all are noisy, even if all the effect are turned off, just putting this pedal in your chain adds floor noise and digital garble sometimes. If you play through an amp without tweeter, this might not be a problem, but if you are playing through a modern amp and in a venue with a good PA system, chances are the noise is going to be heard. Sure, when the band starts playing this might not be a problem, just like a million guitar players use single coils live and they have a lot of noise. The noise gates helps, of course, but still, I could hear a digital whine/noise coming through. This was the same with the B3 pedal. I thought that Zoom would have figure this out with this new model, but they haven't. But if you are not a professional, this pedal offers a lot for the small price.

Bang for buck this thing is awesome. As a practice tool/tuner this thing can't be beat. If you play with it live on stage it can be a bit muddy/ hard to hear with some settings so play around with it at rehearsal to see if it'll work for you in a gig. I have some patches that I have made that work great for me running loud through a markbass 15 combo. Playing with the American Jazz Bass and my Orange ob1 Bass.

Sounds great and has tone of usable amps and effects. Easy to use. Even easier if you download the free editor Tone-Lib. I own more than a dozen pedals, some of them are a lot more expensive than the MS-60b, but use this one consistently.

Excellent little pedal. Don't expect spectacular representations of all of the effects that are in here. For example, the fuzz doesn't sound like my old Bass Big Muff Pi did. But it's a damn close approximation, and I can chain it together with three other effects. It's a nice pedal for a beginner or someone who just wants to try a ton of different effects out. It takes some fiddling with to program, and is by no means user-friendly, but it is not at all hard to figure out. At the end of the day, it's trying to emulate a bunch of things with knobs and buttons, and it does a decent job of that too.

Over a hundred pedals in one. Cannot beat that. Easy to update. Learning curve took me a while. I'm 54, so give me a break. Still, like my dedicated pedals. It's a little pedal board in one. Fun to experiment with. Built like a brick. You can set and forget, or adjust the heck out it. Lots of tones. Never boring. This pedal is a keeper and will remain on my board. #RespectTheBASS

This is a really neat pedal. I would highly recommend it to a beginning guitar player, or anyone who is looking for a lightweight practice solution. But, if you are looking for a good sounding pedal, keep looking. I have a couple of the pedals that this thing is trying to emulate, and it does sound vaguely similar to the ones I tried, but not nearly as good. I was hoping this could replace a few pedals on my board, but ended up sending it back.

This is a great compact pedal with awesome amp modelling. Small enough to throw in my gig bag and cheap enough not to worry about it.
I also have the Zoom B3 which I have used for a few years and think it's great.

Excelent product , it's has a lot of amps, cabinets and other pedals simulators, and also you could update it, it's very simple... I bought I 3/4 to xlr cable so I have a xlr out inorder to connect it directly to a mixer for live playing.

I have owned just about all of the modeling pedals for bass. Some (like the Bass Pod) I've apparently had expectations that were too high, others were crap (like the Behringer, the Vox), while some were pretty good (the Zoom series, a few Korg models), but this is just wonderful-works well, very realistic models and effects, compact, and well-made. My only gripe is that there is a really steep learning curve. Once you understand it, it's very easy, but I found the manual to be much less than helpful.

the main goals of this device are: 1)use it to complete your setup as a polifunctional device (it does a a lot of things, non shine, but ok), or 2) use it as a basic minimalist setup, that is, the minimun you should take to a show (tuner, compressor, etc, using its internal patches, as a multieffect). I had the bigger brother, and a bunch of others multieffects, this one is ok. I will say "portability, rugged, basic multieffect". the menu and use its a little complicated.

Received the device and was using it the same night on the bandstand. I have since explored some of the presets and created some of my own. I especially enjoy the ability to toggle between presets live. Four effects per preset/chain, 50 different effects/amp sims, great tuner, toggle between effect chains, all for $99.00. I am very satisfied and I haven't really fully implemented all of the features yet. This pedal is a keeper.

I play bass for fun. Figured I'd get a pedal I could play around with. This pedal is pretty good, but the distortion sounds are all buzzy. I couldn't find any good distortion sounds on it. I figured at least one of the preset would sound good, but nothing. The other effects are great and the whole concept of the multi-stomp is fabulous. I have a multi-stomp for guitar too and the distortion sounds are good on that one.
