На этом его достоинства заканчиваются - - Шумность
Вот эти плавники как раз создают шумность , крыльчатка без этого работает тише.
Очень громкий подшипник , при орентации лёжа на столе крыльчаткой...

Package came 4 days before it was supposed to which is always a good thing. The silicone pins wer not a problem at all, you dont have to be gentle with them just pull and wiggle back and forth and thats it. Fan is quiet and is running smooth. I would definitely recommend these to anyone.

I put two of these in to quiet down my tower case I use for recording, and my computer runs noticeably quieter. My son installed them, and had no problem with the silicone pins. I would guess, with both fans, my system is maybe 7 to 10 db quieter, with no gain in internal heat on the components. The heat readings are exactly the same as what I had with the fans I replaced. If you need to quiet your computer at the right price, go for these!

I just built my first rig and went with one of those Corsair closed-loop water-coolers for my CPU, which works fine but is rather loud; hence, the zalman "quiet" case fan upgrade from the default corsair fans. However, the Zalmans are just as loud as I can't use the silicon pins on the radiator. While I'm guessing a lot of the noise comes from that, it seems like there should have been at least some appreciable difference, or zalman could have at least put some silicone washers in with the pins in case people wanted to use normal mounting screws rather than the oftentimes difficult-to-install pin things. Either way, they're still fans, just not particularly quiet ones

This fan is nice and quiet, and it moves a nice amount of air.It's made in China, and it comes with silicone pins to attach to the case.It also comes will a resistor plug, as a way of controlling the fan speed, which I thought was neat (I'm not using it).It doesn't come with a molex connector, but I had a 3 pin fan connector to molex plug laying around.

I have installed these fans in systems with passively cooled chipsets/graphics adapters. The temperatures decreased by 20-30 degrees! The fans are essentially silent.

I bought this fan because of its reputation for quietness, and it lives up to that characteristic very well. But installing it with the silicone mounting pins was a real headache. And the installation instructions come with no hints about how to make it easier. Just a drawing -- you know, one those language-free instruction sheets!The four silicone pins each have two separated mounting slots -- one for the case and another for the fan. The distance between the two slots is what keeps the fan from touching the case and creating unwanted vibrational noise. But stretching and compressing the pins to fit the holes in the case (first) and the fan (second) is anything but easy. Every step along the way I worried about snapping a pin because I had to tug on and stretch them quite a bit to set them into their slots. I used a water-based lube and a small screwdriver to help slip them into place in the case, but the lube also made them hard to hold onto at the other end and tug through the case and the fan. I remedied this by holding on to the pins with a piece of paper towel. Ultimately I was able to install all four pins without snapping one off, which seemed like a small miracle to me. With hindsight I can see that the pins are tough and malleable. They have to be to take the installation abuse.However, I'm sure that the pros who install these fans all the time have an easier way to do it. Or maybe they just have a lot of extra pins laying around and don't worry about snapping one (which I'm sure happens). I just wish the instructions would have come with some hints on how to make it easier for us "one-time Charlies" to set the pins correctly. And maybe an extra pin in the package would help to relieve some stress.

Excellent airflow, reasonably quiet, and excellent value. As a prime member I got this overnight for less than most charge for 3 to 5 days. If you order from Amazon Prime is the way to go.

The good: It's a fan. It moves air. It seems to be reliable. It has a long enough power lead that it will reach most parts of a midtower case.The bad: It's not a particularly quiet fan. There is a certain amount of nouse created by moving air around. You WILL hear this fan in action. When I added this as a front case fan (to an Antec Sonata III case) it was noticeably louder. I'd say it's quieter than the average fan but certainly not silent.The ugly: the silicone plugs (to be used in place of screws to fasten the fan to the case and keep the noise damped) are difficult to install, can only be used once, and are basically useless. After an hour of yanking on these things with needlenose pliers I had one installed out of four. So I gave up and used screws.So, that's about it. For some reason my motherboard won't report on the speed of the fan, but that may be a motherboard issue so I can't ding the fan (yet).

Bought it for my new and fancy HTPC. once connected I realized..oh oh.... no chance for such noise level, definitely not in my living room.Made a quick research and found the Noctua NF-S12B ULN, for almost twice the price but 1/6 (!) the noise level.Noisy Zalman no more :-)

Very impressed with this fan. I use it as an exhaust fan at the rear of my Cooler Master USP 100 case. It pushes a good amount of air out the back. It's relatively quiet too. In fact, my system is actually a lot less noisy now because this fan keeps my case temp down and my stock CPU cooler (which can be loud when under heavy load) doesn't need to kick in to high speed nearly as often.

The Zalman fan operates at one of two speeds. With quiet mode, you get 900 RPM. That should be fast enough to give you about 32 CFM of air flow. At 1800 RPM, you can hear the fan, but it's not terribly loud. You would not want that speed in a media center computer, but you'd get about 63 CFM of air flow. Compare that to the cubic feet of your computer chassis and you can see that it's a lot.I would have preferred a 3 speed fan. A middle speed would work fine for many PCs that are loaded with more than the basic number of peripherals.Although the fan is not variable speed, the quiet speed in a two fan case would move quite a bit more air than a PC would typically need. You might get 150% or more of the air you need. Slowing down the fan below the slow speed wouldn't save much in terms of noise or power, given that both are low to start with. Speeding up is something you are unlikely to need with that configuration, but you have that option.If the slow speed is not enough for you and you don't want to hear a fan, look at variable or tri-speed fans instead. If you want pretty colors, this fan also comes in three brightly lit colors. But if you want a basic fan that runs quietly, costs little, and gives you the air flow you need, this is a good choice.

This is an amazing solution to cooling problems. I was rebuilding a Dell Dimension 4700 that had given its former owner major heating problems, something the 4700 is known for. The Zalman Bracket allowed me to solve the problem by moving Dell's CPU fan from the back of the case to directly over the CPU, providing cooling also to the previously uncooled RAM (I also drilled holes in the case cover for air intake) and allowing me to install a separate exhaust fan.The bracket is designed to work only with 1/2" thick fans, but I was able to install a 1" thick 92mm fan by replacing the stock fan mounting screw.I expect I'll buy more Zalman Brackets in the future. It's a clever way of getting cooling to parts of your motherboard that need it, especially RAM.The main disadvantage is that it mounts on the expansion slots, so whenever you need to remove or add an expansion device or slot cover, you must first remove the Zalman Bracket. To me, this is a small price to pay for the cooling it provides.

Cool and quiet. Easy to install. It's obviously very well made as case fans go, not cheap or flimsy. Connects easily to your motherboard's system plug. There's a little adapter with it for some other kind of system plug. The silicon screws are actually these stretchy things you pull through the frame and then the fan until they lock squishily into place. I'm pleased.

After installing two of these fans to my case it cooled everything about 7c which is great. My cpu runs cooler,my video card runs cooler,and my motherboard runs cooler. I am very happy with this case fan theyre really quiet. The only thing i didnt like about it was the installation of the silicone pins.

I received the fan in a timely manner and it performs as advertised, like all the Zalman products I've purchased. I don't like noise in computers and their low-noise components have helped me configure a quiet machine while getting the cooling affects I was after. I am very satisfied with their product line.

Good, quiet fan. The silicon pin mounts work in most locations but the silicon pins do protrude beyond the fan and did create a minor clearance issue for my front mounted disk drive fans (in an Antec Three Hundred case). To further reduce noise (at the expense of some cfm) I have been reliably running this fan at 7 volts (connected between the +12 and +5 volt supply rails). Bottom line: I would purchase this model again.

This 120mm fan is really nice. It's pretty darn quiet, and very powerful. For a basic 1-speed fan, you can't do much better.A few things worth noting:1. The silicon pins provided for mounting the fan may not work in every application. I used screws from my computer case to mount the fan as the silicon pins were not the right size.2. This is a mono-speed fan. However since it plugs directly into the motherboard, you can control its RPM through your motherboard's controls or a third party program like RivaTuner.3. The fan is very quiet compared to many others. I think its probably quieter than even the fans that came pre-installed in my Antect P182 case.A great fan and well worth the price.

The fans are quiet and obviously built to last. The silicon pins make the assumption that the mounting holes for the fans go through the case. In my particular situation (NZXT Rouge micro-ATX case) this isn't the case. If you could get ythe same fan without the pins for less, that would be a better choice.

THe fan works fine. It just did not have a power rating listed. I found it was too large to run with the adapter I purchased so I sent it back and got the ZM-F2. Had the power consumption been listed on the technical specs, then there would have been no problem and I would not have gotten this one.
