I can't say enough about this little keyboard's mojo. Super comfortable to play. Very intuitively laid out. The sounds are top notch. However, for as much as it does offer, it is priced too high. There are far too many high quality sample packs in existence to justify a $500 price tag for a keyboard that is as functionally limited as the CP is.
As far as use goes, it is a very fun and inspiring instrument to have at your disposal. The onboard effects are very high quality and once you get pedals and amplifiers involved, it is a real force to be reckoned with. To me, the simplicity and inspiration factors made it worth the steep price tag, but I can see it being a deterrent for people in the market for more functionality/full size keys.

Sound quality decent, but impossible to stabilize on lap. Impossible to play other than basic tunes. Likely will end up sitting on shelf.Even when used as sound module, audio quality is decent. But, octave range is unrealistic on standard keyboard using this the CP. Were this a full-sized keyboard --- well, maybe worth 4 stars.

yes, the 32 sounds and edits are rather good...BUT
pls FIRST COMPARE to yamaha mx 49.
SAME PRICE and mx has 1000 sounds and edits.
and 49 keys...bigger ones.
pls compare...first.
this rf dx, is probably good at around usd 250 or less.

5 stars for sound, one star for price. I played the reface instruments at Summer NAMM. They really do sound great but in my opinion they are ridiculously overpriced. I was expecting at the most a retail of $199 and a street price of $149. I'm really curious to see if these sell very well.
