Awesome guitar with the worst packing.
The guitar is awesome, go for it. I just hated the packing as little shaking of the box can easily damage the guitar. The guitar was damaged when I first received it but got it replaced. I thought that the packing would be much better the second time but it was same and thankfully this time the guitar was in good condition. I request Amazon to please improve the packing as there is high chance of getting defective product.

Broken product....... no protection to product while in transit.....
Product was good by yamaha.... But i received with broken main body of the guitar..... The side of the guitar with sound board not attached ..... The total cavity length was about 80% on the right side.... And if we press them close to each other sound was actually changedbto crisp..... Unsatisfied with the delivery by amazon.....
No protection given to guitar ... Like cushioning.... And the main part.... The delivery boy tied the guitar with his bike on left side tightly...... So i will never ever buy this type of sensitive product from amazon........ But thanks to the awesome return policy.... 🙂🙂

BANG FOR YOUR BUCKS. . says a beginner with the help of a seasoned friend
Researched a lot, Reviewed almost everything, enlisted Ibanez MD39C for purchase then made my mind to buy from store. . .BUT then this arrived in front of my eyes. Natural color is treat for eyes. Sounds absolutely fantastic as said by my friend. Comes from a reputed brand like Yamaha. What else does one demands. And it had No damages, No Glue Joints visible on arrival...excellent work by Yamaha.
P.s: My Box didn't had allen key (And I'm not sure if this comes with one), which doesn't bothers me for the price i paid and the beauty i received.

Quality guitar
Good product for beginners.good finish and easy to play. Good look. Got it for RS 6999 . If you can wait for sale then you might get it for below 6000.

Don't buy: Quality control in F280 is missing - Very Poor Quality
Don't buy:
1) Reviewing this guitar after using it for over 6 months.
2) Build quality is not good. The body of this guitar is painted and the paint has started peeling off after 2 months of gentle usage.
3) There is some quality issue in manufacturing (pasting of guitar body), the body of the guitar is cracking; seems it has not been pasted well, for details, please refer to the pics
3) The guitar strings gets loose every second day, as the tuning pegs seem to be of poor quality which don't hold the string tension for long
Better alternative: Yamaha F310 which is made in Indonesia is far far better and is better value for money in comparison to F280. I have used F310 for over 5 years, still it looks and performs better than F280.

Buy online at ur own risk
I recieved the guitar today
While the guitar in itself is best at this price point.
The condition in which the guitar was delivered speaks volumes about buying musical instruments online.
For starters I noticed a total crack between the tonewood back and the side of the guitar at the bottom. The seal between the back and the side was totally broken with a crevice that's about 8-10 cm in total length. If continued to be used ...it will lead to total collapse of guitr body whithin days.
Also the fretboard.... Rosewood fretboard is really smooth with nice pre set action good enough for beginners and a slender neck.
But it's incredibly dry and not at all conditioned.
The light brown woody discoloration of the fretboard signify poor upkeep of the guitar.
I would accept this flaw if the guitar was not opened, but the cardboard box it came in was just ductaped together with clear signs of being an open box.
So very poor quality control checks before dispatching has made me return this product.
On the upside the sound of this guitar is really good , and I would suggest buying this model above all in this range .
It's slender neck is very beginner friendly.
My advice--- buy this guitar but only from offline stores if possible.
If online is only option , be prepared to recieve damaged/defective product, sans any warranty card, and be prepared to file for 1-2 returns before u can get a decent product.

Buy guitar from shop not online
I am concerned about the genuine ness of the guitar, as it is impossible for me to verify whether the guitar is not a copy product and is original product.
Further I would recommend you to buy the product from shop only, as I found that the action of my guitar is not right and I can not exchange at Amazon as it may not considered as defect

Nice guitar but package was damaged.

Damaged Product
Just received damaged piece today 28 June 2020 at 2.20 PM. My daughter is extremely disappointed by the quality of the product.
Only replacement option is given, return policy is not available.
Hope Amazon will promote quality and meet uptown the expectations of its customers.

Received a Damaged one..
Come on guys..You cannot clear your inventory by sending out whatever defective products you have..I have paid the entire amount not to receive a damaged one..May be you can go on for a lesser price with a bargain with customers with such damagaes..

This is the second time happening within a week. 1st guitar Yamaha 310 I ordered was damaged so I had returned it then I placed a 2nd order which I just got and what can I see is the guitar damages Again. Never ordering something from this seller again in life

Overall a good package
You cannot buy anything like this in the price range. Forgetting that it does not have any kind of accesories with it. You have to buy it seperately, which might cost you about 2000 even bucks. So keep this in mind. Otherwise, sound quality is awesome and giving 5 stars only for the product of yamaha.. extremely happy as a beginer.

Truss Rod bent. Yamaha won't repair online bought guitar
I bought the guitar, I noticed buzzing sound and thought it will be in fine in few days. After a month still it has buzzing so I went to local store he tried to adjust the truss rod. But it didn't work. He had same model in store it sounds completely different. Store guy told me my Guitars truss rod is bent and it cant be repaired. And yamaha won't give service for online bought guitar.I can't even return the guitar. Better to buy from offline store.

Sound quality is great.
Look-wise perfect.
If you are a beginner, go for it. You won't regret later.
One thing that can be done better is the packaging. With the current packaging there are ample chances of the product being damaged, if not handled properly.

Good product
The E string pin on the top was not evenly fixed. I had to fix it on my own. Apart from that it’s a good guitar in 6-7k range. Yamaha after all. There’s very minor dent on the body but not something big enough to get it replaced. Got a newer product July 2020 manufacturing. It’s worth it’s hype. Better than F310 and yes it’s made in India so feels good :)

I'm a professional guitarist (8-9yrs). I bought this for ny nephew. Build quality is unmatched in all the guitars that are in this range in India. Fret work is at pro level. Finish is also as expected from Yamaha. Big booming Dreadnought sound as always. Only thing is the setup that we cannot expect in this range but Yamaha does a good job in nut height, truss rod relief and only thing I had to adjust was saddle height and after that it was perfect like any other better range guitars. I have not seen such a smooth fretboard in this range trust me because I have been playing since 2011 professionally. After all I just want to say is that even f310 was reasonable at its prize and after the opening of new factory in India and lowered prize its the best in the lot!!!!

Best Yamaha guitar according to price
Yamaha f 280 Best guitar,and best beginner guitar also, it's sounds awesome, price range is perfect for this guitar , even much better product according to price ,its almost like Yamaha f310 , most of it same as Yamaha 310, and Yamaha f280 it's even better , sound asloo amazing , value for money u can buy it without any doubt.

As expected, Yamaha delivers you a awesome products. It is really nice product, holds the tuning for long periods.
Perfect in sound box and fret board size for beginners.
Cons:
1. Strings are a bit hard to hold a chord, you will feel the pain on the tips after 2 songs. I guess you can change to a softer strings and it will reslove.
2. The sound has more bass and less sharpness and treble. So if it suits the genre you play or sing.
But overall it's a superb product in this price range.

Good guitar for beginners with a few small hiccups
Definitely suits a beginner guitarist's needs.
Feels pretty sturdy in hands. The wire winding nuts do feel like they're going to break but so far working fine.
Two months aftee buying, while changing the strings noticed the underside of pins and saw that the wood was torn in a few places. So the pins kept popping out.
But other than that, good enough to warrant a purchase.

Perfect for beginners but if you can spend more go for something better
Well its a good guitar for beginners but the quality is not that upto the mark the paint at the back and the side gets spoilt of it even touches somewhere very lightly i didn’t find the quality of the paint that good but the guitar sounds good and it has truss rod which makes it perfect buy for beginners at such attractive price so please go for this guitar if you are looking for a beginners guitar and don’t go for any cheap guitars it will last longer but take good care of it and don’t bang it or let it touch any rough surface that will destroy the paint and can cause wood deterioration . At last its perfect for beginners but if someone can spend more money should go for something else like fender cd60s solid top.

If you are a beginner like me, without a second thought just go and purchase this guitar you will more than satisfied, in rs7000 range company guitar, no other guitar comes close to this one, as its from yamaha especially made for india, its like the indian version of F310, if you have confussion to choose between F280 and F310, then i would suggest go with F280 as its the same as F310 with more efficient string placement and costs less than F310 there's no other difference between the two.
