It's difficult to imagine that a speaker at this price point can sound good, but here's is proof that it's possible. One technical note, which I ignored initially. Speakers are rated at 6 ohms. After the hookup my receiver kept on short circuiting. Finally I realized I had to flip a switch on the back for the correct impedance range for the speakers (like many speakers, my previous were 8 ohm). Never paid much attention to these technical details until now.

I am very happy i bought these speakers. I purchased these to pair with my pro-jet turntable and a older demon receiver and i must say i am blown away by the sound. For a small space, these are perfect. Great clean highs and punchy bass, these do not need a sub-woofer they sound so good. You can tell they are manufactured with quality parts and they are very sturdy. I highly recommend these speakers.

I installed these in my workout room. It is a small room but these speakers fill it with sound. They have a decent amount of low end and the mids and highs are great. Would buy again.

It feels a little redundant reviewing the Diamond 10.1 as it's one of the most reviewed speakers of the last few years. Matter of fact, Stereophiles write-up with measurements pretty much sums it up perfectly. While I personally can't make claims that it's the best speaker at it's price, I can swear that my choice to buy these has been rewarded with an extremely pleasurable listening experience. They look fantastic and sound wonderful. The diamonds were a huge upgrade from my 5 year-old Klipsch Synergy B3 and B2s. Finally, mid-range again! Bass accuracy and off-axis performance are unreal. The high-end even reveals more detail then the exaggerated treble of the Klipsch. They aren't a match for the astonishing JBL Studio 530's that I use for 2 channel, but I'm incredibly happy with them in my living room home theater.
A couple of notes. First, for some bizarre reason the speakers come without feet. Because I have the brass spikes on my stands to set the speakers on it isn't a big deal for me, but most users might be scratching their head at this omission.
I also want to note that the value of these speakers extends well beyond their $350 price/$500 sound in that they have 3 affordable centers to choose from, 2 surrounds and 5 different tower options should you need more than this stereo pair. That's insane! That was a huge reason I decided to replace my Klipsch, I could get a whole new high-quality set of 5 speakers for very little.
These are easy to recommend, easy to enjoy.

Amazing quality. I'm very pleased with the presence, the sound is of utmost fidelity. I'm using at home in my office with a receiver Onkyo TX-8050. A reliable source of audio quality can be felt (digital output from the computer to the digital input on the receiver via optical cable) is required. I do not see the need for subwoofer to enhance bass, they are felt and natural. If you prefer the most sensitive cases, this may not be your choice, and evaluate the power of your amplifier to be able to marry correctly. There is a box to give a dance, is to take pleasure in listening.

These speakers rock (or rather, they "jazz" as that's mostly what I listen to)! I powered them with an NAD3020 receiver and am very happy with the sound. I also bought the stands. These look and sound great. I could not be happier with this purchase.

The reviews said that the lows were good for this bookshelf but still very thin for my taste. My ears are still tuned for old school advents, so I had to send them back. Sorry

I have been looking for a set of bookself speakers to replace a pair of Altec-Lansing 508 tower speakers. The foam dampener around one of the woofers was deteriorating and I assumed that the other 3 woffers were soon to go - the speakers were 26 years old. The Altec-Lansings were absolutely superb speakers but needed a large room with high ceilings. To compare the Warfedale to the Altec Lansings would, of course, be unfair. However they are the best bookself speakers of their size that I have listened to, and, I have listened to quite a few. They are the perfect size for the small living room I now have - and I love their sound.
If you are thinking about purchasing a pair, I highly recommend them. However, beware that they are 6 Ohm speakers and sound best when powered by an amplifier with a 4 Ohms rating. If your amp is only rated at 8 Ohms, it may not have the current capacity to fully drive the drivers.

I have these mounted in my office and I play the local classical music radio station all day long. They sound really superb and I don't tired. The sound is warm and room filling.

I got these as a gift for my audiophile brother in law and my sister on his recommendation. He's very happy with them. He used them with a very nice turntable and a 1970's amp. He's picky about this stuff - so if he's happy, I think it must be pretty good. They have a nice look to them with the cherry finish and extend back quite a bit further than you'd think, which is probably why the bass is as good as it is.

The amount of clear crisp sound these speakers reproduce is simply amazing. I hooked up a sub for movies but do not hear it when I play music thanks to the rear ports. I have 32" stands and put then maybe 10" from the wall. I am playing them with a Onkyo 9050 stereo integrated amp using my library through Apple TV. This is audiophile quality sound for $800-$900.

Ordered these last week and received quickly from one of amazon's suppliers. Sound is quite good for the size of the speakers. Hooked up to very good quality audio equipment, and the speakers are on Sanus stands. Solid construction and attention to detail. Important to make sure they are phased correctly, i.e. positive to positive etc. between amp and speakers. Good value for 350.

I was surprised to hear the quality on these speakers, I've played from classical to rock and the sound is very clear. The build quality is good but details could be improved.

Replaced a set of Bose speakers I bought some years ago before I knew any better. Difference is like night and day. I have these on a system I use only for listening to music in my office. Bass is quite sufficient for me and it is nice to have my previously lacking mids and highs back again. The sound stage these little speakers create is awesome - hard to believe these are just bookshelf speakers.

Sound - very clean and alive when i listen to vocals and guitars also sound amazing. If youre a guy that also likes drum n bass rest asured - these speakers will play pretty loud and very clear but does not gave alot of bass in my opinion but add a subwoofer and you got a system to love.
Quality - since i have only had them in about 3 months i cant tell. I take very good care of them and never push them to the limit and i have had no problems with them - though one of the speakers had a non-working tweeter that i replaced with a spare part that i got directly from warfedale support.
Design - they look amazing. not much to say because there are pictures of them on the web.
Conclution - amazing. they sound great, look very stylish and are made very well. And to this price... TAKE IT!

bought the 10.1 and have a nuforceDia #30Wx 2..the 10.1 sounds muffled..any reason?? perhaps the nu force is not enough power but it seems that the 10.1 should sound crisp but they are very muffled.

Excellent sounding speakers. You will not regret this purchase. It was between these and some klipsch speakers for me and I am glad I went with these. Sounds are very crisp and clear and the bass is full, but not boomy.

Spent ages researching this as a pairing for Fatman valve amp. Not disappointed. Well constructed with quality connectors and cross overs. Lovely definition and punch. Although a tad large if you have a small room. Very very happy. Delivered quick as well, within 48 hrs. Wharfedale do make quality speakers!!!

I'm new to the audiophile world and these are simply the best speakers i have ever owned. The instrumental clarity and vocals are phenomenal and I was pleasantly surprised by the soft base. I took a gamble, since I couldn't decide which speakers to purchase, whether PSB, Paradym or Wharfedale. My gamble clearly paid off.
