My previous 36gig Raptor finally bit the dust and I do not want a SSD at the moment, as so many people are still complaining about instability issues with always on systems and also the cost, so it was time to get a replacement.I bought the drive used and I received the it the next day it works just fine. However the mounting enclosure was not included with the Drive and mounting within my case was a bit difficult. I had not read anywhere in the description that says it was a bare drive only, oh well I bought the drive with next day shipping for a 85 dollars, can't really complain. Plus the problem was easily remedied with 3 dollar Mushkin 3.5 to 2.5 drive adapter. Now my PC is a happy PC and everything is back to normal.

Beware, product description as of 3/3/12 is incorrect. The title is incorrect as well as this line from the description "WD VelociRaptor drives offer an ultra-fast 32 MB cache and SATA 6 Gb/s interface and twice the capacity of previous generations. " This drive (WD1500BLHX) is NOT SATA III (6Gbit/s). [...] shows that this drive is SATA II (3Gbit/s).**3/31/12 - Amazon has corrected the product description.

No SATA cable? Is this the first hard drive you bought on line? Tell me you're joking? I have only gotten SATA cables when I purchased a motherboard. Besides, this is a premium 10K rpm drive. It's more expensive for that reason. If you can afford it, you can afford to buy a cable. Maybe you want a power cable too?

This hard drive is really nice, I own one and ordered another one from amazon. Only problem is IT CAME WITH NO SATA WIRE, WTF?!
