Excellent product and great value
This product is very reasonably priced and does exactly what I need it to. I have a beast of a router and needed a few extra LAN ports. I just plugged it in and it works great. No problems whatsoever. The only thing I would mention is that while this is described as a five port device, one of the ports is used as the input port from your router. So you are getting a net plus four ports. For the moment, I only have one additional device connected to this device so I don't know how it would perform if all of the ports were in use. But I have no reason to expect that the performance would be deficient in any way. As far as I can tell, this is an excellent product.

Plug and Play?; Daisy-Chaining? Manufacturer's Failure To Describe Adequately
Manufacturer's Claim: "PLUG AND PLAY Easy setup with no configuration or no software needed"
NOT ENTIRELY SO, when Daisy-Chaining two TP-Link 5 Port Fast Ethernet Switches is intended and required.
And why did I give 1-Star for Tech Support?
Because as I tried (and eventually succeeded on my own) in Daisy-Chaining two switches, and asked for help, the manufacturer's TS Agent had no clue about what needed to be done to make that setup work using two Macs (and I suspect ANY other platform) to allow the first switch to be plugged into the router, and then a second switch to be plugged into an ethernet port on the first, and then two computers to be plugged into the second switch.
Of course, that described setup WILL work, but ONLY if after the computers are connected as described, BOTH computers are REBOOTED. This requirement is NOT mentioned in the instructions, and therefore I say: Plug and Play using TWO switches as I have described is NOT Plug and Play-possible since the rebooting step is NOT mentioned in the manufacturer's instructions.
You may say: Why the need to Daisy-Chain?, but if you do NOT want to run two side-by-side ethernet cables across a distance, Daisy-Chaining is necessary and viable. Just do NOT use more than three switches in a row, and keep the ethernet cable run to less than about 100 meters.
Otherwise, these switches are excellent!
