- + Красоты необычайной
- - Проигрыватель красивый , но хотелось бы и звук услышать . А этого к сожалению мы не смогли сделать потому что головка была сломана . Продавец сказал , такого не может быть , но им по ходу виднее.
Looks wise the TD 190-2 looks amazing with its simple sleek design. I am really glad that I chose this turntable over others in a similar price range. The sound quality is very good and an improvement over my Numark Decks which I was using to listen to vinyls on.
I'm using an Audio Technica AT440MLA cartridge, and as far as I am able to tell this turntable does most of what I had hoped for.
I have one major gripe. I can't play a record with the dust cover closed, unless I want to hear it over and over. That's because the weight at the end of the tonearm sticks out just far enough to bump the back of the dust cover when the tonearm returns to the rest. So it rebounds, and the mechanism proceeds to the beginning of the record for another playing.
This may be specific to the cartridge that I'm using, as I suspect that it's a little heavier than the Ortofon OM 10 cartridge that it came with.
My second gripe is minor. I have not purchased a turntable in this price range before, and I had hoped to be "wowed" by the finish and attention to detail. Compared to the mid-grade Pioneer PL-7 that I had from years ago, it falls rather short. The controls are black plastic, just "meh". I have heard this platter referred to as fairly massive, but the Numark and the Pioneer models that I had both weighed significantly more. And lastly, why did they equip this with a wall transformer? Isn't Europe supposed to be energy conscious? Perhaps it was to save money on power conversion. For a product this expensive, it's disappointing to see.
On the plus side, the TD190 is a three-speed player and does equally well with my 45rpm LPs. The Music Hall plays them better, but I have to move the belt from one spindle to another to make it happen. It also does 78s, but that is of little relevance to me. I have neither the cartridge nor the 78s to play. There is no audible wow and flutter, but compared to the MH/Goldring combo, there is definitely more going on. Bass is nowhere near as solid on the Thorens. Background silence isn't. There is some sort of barely audible but definitely perceptible mush going on back there that simply does not exist when the same record is played on the Music Hall. For the same price you can get a Music Hall 2.2 with an external power supply and have a much finer piece of equipment.
