This is a decent solid iron from Tefal with some legitimate nods to ergonomics. It has chunky and well-positioned controls and a high power level to help it quickly reach temperature and produce strong quantities of steam output. Style-wise it's fairly safe and conservative in overall shape and colouring, with only the overarching handle forming the larger heel breaking the norm.
The extra 0.5m of cord over the more common 2.0m is very welcome and the way it articulates completely away from the handle in operation means it is well out of your way. Also helpful is the handy anti-calc trap located in the heel of the iron - although it has possibly contributed to making the iron quite large in size, and a bit heavy by iron standards.
The controls are positioned well, with a trigger finger button for the water spray, and a large top button for steam boost, so they both fall well to hand without compromising your grip. The temperature control however is something of a bugbear as it is not your traditional rotating dial, it is more of a slider control that happens to be in an arc shape. It is a bit stiff in places and not as easy to adjust as I'd like.
There are two lights on the iron, both are fairly small and inconspicuous. A red light on the top shows the auto-stop function is operational, and an orange light near the heel shows when the iron is heating. Neither are particularly prominent, whether that is a good or bad thing is up to you, but I like to be able to more easily tell what the status of the iron is at any given time.
The water spout is usefully large so makes filling easy. There is a Max level indicator visible inside the spout itself and the hatch closes assuredly. The iron does seem to get through water very quickly though in spite of its large water tank.
Price wise, at c.

The only slight criticism is that it is rather too easy catch, with one's fingers when gripping the handle and inadvertently "move", the temperature control.
Pros:
Powerful steam, glides effortlessly, reduces creases quickly and easily, helps prevent lime scale forming and reducing steam, steams quietly, long power cord
Cons:
It can feel heavy - when used over long sessions of ironing
Best advice on all steam irons:
1. If it says to use tap water - but if you are in a hard water area, you are advised to use distilled water, or water that has been through a filter at very least.
2. You are supposed to do a 'lime scale clean' every two weeks - this is regardless of whether you are ironing nearly every day or have only ironed once, apparently. You may not need to do it quite so often if you are not using hard tap water and if you empty the tank before storing the iron. The process, in itself, is easy enough and does not take long.

Not everything is perfect, though. The trigger grip actually gets in the way when you pick the iron up (obviously, we put it down to move the clothes round so pick up irons a lot). The reservoir is easy to fill quickly but it also seems to empty quickly (althought that could just be me). But the goods outweigh the bads. This is a sturdy, reassuringly massive piece of kit. You will like it. A lot

Good: It’s sleek shape, auto shut off, anti-calc removal easy, heats up quickly, turbo steam – good for ironing thick material. Long 2.5m cord, which points outwards so it doesn't get in the way. Large tank, wide heel plate. Good price.
Not so good:
It's difficult to be negative about this product. There does seem to be a lot of steam which, despite the large tank, means regular topping up. The anti-drip doesn’t always work, but maybe I'm just being picky.
All in all, a great work horse which looks good and does the job well. With the anti-calc, it promises to be a robust bit of kit which will last for many years.

The great things about this iron are:
The iron has a reassuring heavy feel to it
The ceramic sole place glides well
The flex is generous and long enough not to be a problem
There is an auto off function - jut incase you forget to turn the iron off
It is very easy and quick to fill
It produces a generous amount of steam
The things that I am not so keen on
The water tank seems to need regular topping up
All in all I have no problems at all recommending this iron.

There is a wide heel plate which makes it stable when not in use, and it has an auto shut off if you leave it unattended ... 8 minutes on the heel or 30 seconds if down on the soleplate.
There is a decent length of flex, about 3 metres which is useful for vertical steaming creases out of curtains and clothes.
The anticalc system is very easy to use, and hopefully that will encourage frequent cleaning.
All in all, a decent iron in use, easy to maintain, and a fair price.

Unfortunately all these excellent features are outweighed (literally) by the weight of the iron – my arm was aching after a fairly short ironing session.

We use this model in catering environment and it delivers beautifully
