In love with the product to be honest

So I got this keyboard for INR 9,999 during a sale on the MSRP of ~INR 18k. This is not worth the price at all, let me explain.

Software is not great. This keyboard is advertised that it has Macro key binds on the M1-M6 keys but the software has no option to map them, so it's a backend issue which hasn't been fixed since a long time. That's speaks a lot about a company since fixing this is not Rocket Science. Don't buy it for this reason alone, OLED display is a cheap DIY build, if that's your USP for getting Apex 5.

Build Quality is great, no issues.

Material used are not that great, the OLED screen gets scratched soo easily even if you only wipe it with a dry Micro Fibre cloth.
The keykaps are a fingerprint magnet, all the oil from your skin will be very visible and is not at all pleasing.
Cleaning this keyboard is difficult.

The switches are hybrid, but I am not impressed. Reason is some keystrokes are registered before the audible mechanical click while some keystrokes are registered after the mechanical click. So some keys even if not pressed beyond the mechanical click, still register which is not great considering the price and I am very light on my touch.

Overall I would not pay anything above INR 7k for this product for what it's worth, 18k is a rip-off if you can't even get together a Software Team to fix product breaking bugs for more than an year.

Don't recommend getting this at the price asked for, just get a TVS Gold, this one's not worth it.

you cannot go wrong with this. Touch, the sound is something unique and the hand rest pad provides rich and nice support. My first mechanical keyboard.

Guys let me get straight to the point if you guys want the most premium keyboard in the world then you should not buy the Steelseries apex pro TKL , the reason being that this is a TKL which costs the same as Corsair K100 RGB .

Latency wise - Corsair K100 RGB > Apex pro TKL
Build quality - Corsair K100 RGB > Apex pro TKL
Switches wise we can give an edge to the apex pro TKL as we can adjust the actuation but if you are looking for the best keyboard with the lowest latency possible then Corsair K100 beats the apex pro TKL [ source : Rtings ]

Apex pro TKL has a gimmicky OLED screen and Corsair has got a Multifunctional Wheel which when compared to OLED screen is better IRL

Corsair costs just 1K more than Apex pro TKL but you are getting NUMPAD , better switches which are way faster than omnipoints , 4000 Hz polling rate and if you update K100 you get 8000 Hz polling rate , better wrist rest , Nice Double shot PBT keycaps .

If you want the best premium keyboard in the world get the Corsair K100 RGB with OPX switches not the Cherry MX ones [ as Cherry MX feel worse in comparison with OPX ]

Wanna enjoy changing Actuation point of you switches ? Wanna show off OLED screen on your keyboard ? Need more space to move your mouse ? Get the Steelseries Apex Pro TKL

This is true love. The keyboard is perfect and I have nothing negative to say about it.

What I love the most:
- the sexy red keys
- the steelseries software to control the keyboard (it also allows you to match the backlight to your music)
- the little OLED screen which I use to display my CPU specs and temperature
- the beautiful magnetic wrist rest

This is the first time I've spent a good chunk of money on a keyboard and I don't regret it one bit. The experience has been phenomenal so far.

Will update my review after a month or so, but I doubt I'll have anything negative to report.

UPDATE after a little over 4 months
The keyboard is still working like a charm. The lighting is still magnificent. But the scroll wheel isn't functioning properly. I was using it to control the speaker volume, so it was quite important to me. Overall it's still a great keyboard but it'd be better if the scroll wheel was a bit more robust.

-Detachable Wrist pad (Great smooth plastic)
-easy Detachable KEY caps
-amazing keyboard brightness (specially for those rgb gamers)
-Software Interface Available as compared to some cheap brands which only provides embedded settings and present.

CONS
-Mechanical Feel Keyboard (rubber dome) meh..
-SteelSeries app doesn't provide any rgb sync b/w SteelSeries Mouse & Steelseries keyboard..

Amazing keyboard. The switches feel awesome, the build quality and design is phenomenal, the included wrist wrest is comfortable and the OLED display is very useful and unique. The RGB looks stunning as well. The only thing keeping this keyboard back is the Steelseries GG software which is not so user friendly and lacks quite a few basic features. But you can use a 3rd party software which the keyboard in itself, is capable of everything.

Ho acquistato questa tastiera specificamente per fortnite ed è la migliore tastiera che ho provato. Tasti rapidi, comoda, facilità di cambiare profilo e di impostare i settaggi desiderati. Se volete la migliore tastiera per fps questa fa al caso vostro. Tuttavia, il prezzo non è molto accessibile. Inoltre, aggiungo che non noterete un miglioramento nel vostro modo di giocare se possedete già una tastiera importante come la Razer tournament edition.

Come da titolo questa tastiera, almeno per quanto mi riguarda (e sono uno che sta dietro al pc e al mondo gaming da anni e anni , fin da quando le tastiere meccaniche erano ancora una nicchia e non la quotidianita' o dall'uscita del primo Starcraft) rappresenta il Best Buy 2021 nell'ambito gaming.
Ma andiamo a vedere i pro e i contro nel dettaglio:

PRO:
_Il magico e inconfondibile feedback degli switch rossi (per il mio modello)
_La versione compatta, quella senza tastierino numerico e' una manna dal cielo, vi fa risparmiare spazio sulla scrivania e, effettivamente, salvo che non siete abitue' della calcolatrice, non ne sentirete la mancanza
_Il display incorporato in alto a dx e' veramente un upgrade carinissimo. Potete impostare diverse configurazioni come il controllo costante delle temperature dei componenti e l'uso della RAM e della CPU/GPU senza dover aprire alcun programma o tabbare il vostro gioco preferito.
Se siete proprio smanettoni, come nelle foto che ho inserito, ci potete mettere il signor Pac Man che corre con tanto di fantasmini. Ovviamente quella e' una della moltitudine di gif che ci potete mettere. Ci sono siti appositi dove poterle scaricare oppure potete crearvela da voi e importarla tramite il software proprietario, Steelseries GG. Innovativo e piu' semplice rispetto al predecessore.
_Poggiapolsi magnetico. Lo togliete e rimettete a piacimento e la sensazione che da al tatto e' veramente quella di un prodotto premium. Sembra duro ma e' morbido e liscio. Provare per credere.
_Tutta la parte a vista della tastiera, sopra e lateralmente e' in alluminio, che da una bellissima sensazione di compattezza e robustezza, sotto in plastica ma, se non la alzi, non te ne accorgerai mai.
_Piccola e ingombro veramente modesto (io ho il modello compatto, senza tastierino, che consiglio a tutti)
_Led, come sempre, full personalizzabili con una miriade di colori. Ci sono anche molti preset gia' pronti ma potete impostarne manualmente quanti ne volete, quelli che volete e come li volete.
_Presenta sul retro un attacco un USB incorporato (difatti il cavo della tastiera ha due attacchi USB, uno per la tastiera e uno per la porta USB incorporata.) Molta comoda per caricare un telefono o attaccarci qualsiasi cosa vogliate senza avere metri di fili in giro per la scrivania.
Se non vi serve o non avete porte USB sufficienti sul computer semplicemente potete non attaccarla affatto. Attaccate solo il cavo della tastiera.
_Tasti smontabili come deve essere per una tastiera meccanica e con la possibilita' di sostituirli in caso di rottura o usura importante non di meno per un' adeguata pulizia. E su questo posso dire che, rispetto al 90% delle tastiere in commercio che hanno un buco sotto al tasto con dentro lo switch, questa ha lo switch ESTERNO, sopra il profilo in alluminio. E grazie a questa cosa "ingegnosa" lo sporco NON andra' mai dentro la tastiera e con un panno umido la fate tornare nuova in 5 minuti.
_Multitasking perfetto, risposta eccellente. Consiglio la versione US assolutamente. La disposizione dei tasti e' 10 volte piu' comoda di quella IT nonche' le varie grammatiche. Unica pecca qui, dovrete rinunciare alle lettere gia' accentate. Ma potete usare l'apostrofo invece dell'accento come ho fatto io per questi 2 KM di recensione.

CONTRO:

_PREZZO! La tastiera costa cara, 160 euro sono tanti anche se parliamo di un prodotto superbo. Sicuramente non alla portata di tutti ma ve lo dico in tutta sincerita', quei soldi li vale appieno.

Ottima tastiera, super personalizzabile, il programma Della steelseries è stupendo e comodo da utilizzare. Unica pecca se proprio bisogna andare a trovarne una è il magnete del poggia polsi non è potentissimo basta che un mezzo centimetro non sia appoggiato sulla scrivania e si stacca. Per il resto super consigliata.

Tastiera perfetta per il Gaming con tante funzionalità, molto reattiva e con materiali di qualità

+i switch, "di base", non sono assolutamente come dei red switch, anche mettendoli a parità di punto di attuazione si parla di switch che hanno un input lag nettamente inferiore. Il tempo di risposta i tasti è 8 volte più reattivo rispetto a una cherry red. Chiaramente questa tastiera è indirizzata soprattutto per coloro che cercano il massimo del vantaggio da una tastiera
+Steelseries ha mantenuto la parola, è per davvero la tastiera più veloce al mondo. Ho avuto modo di constatarlo possedendo varie tastiere, tra cui la huntsman lineare e la corsair con i mx speed
+I switch sono lineari e il punto di attuazione può essere personalizzato su ogni tasto da 0.4mm a 3.6mm
-Omnipoints presenti solo su una porzione di tastiera. non sono presenti su riga dei tasti "esc, f1, etc", ne a destra dell'invio, nemmeno sui tasti direzionali hanno messo i omnipoint. alquanto contrariato essendo che succede di utilizzarli. nei modelli non TKL, ovviamente i omnipoint non ci sono anche sul tastierino numerico
-i switch non sono stabilizzati tanto quanto quelli delle huntsman, non hanno lo stabilizzatore sullo switch, rendendo un po' traballanti i tasti se li si premono ai bordi
-nel modello TKL, non sono presenti i tasti "stamp, block scroll e pause", per fare spazio allo schermo LCD
-Con punto di attuazione troppo alto, è difficile scrivere e non è ancora stato annunciato il layout italiano
-L'input non è possibile trasformarlo in analogico, non ostante ci siano ben 10 punti di attuazione possibili per tasto

..MATERIALI - 5/5 Eccellenti
+il sopra della tastiera è in metallo, il sotto della tastiera è in plastica, ma con gommini antiscivolo davvero ben distribuiti. la tastiera a differenza delle tastiere corsair, è stabile e non se ne va in giro sulla scrivania. Anche i piedini sono gommati

..RGB e ILLUMINAZIONE - Troppo energico, poco gestibile. 1/5
+ottimo per gli amanti dell'RGB. L'effetto vaporwave è venuto bene
+è possibile impostare anche un effetto RGB per quando si è AFK
-pessimo per chi, come me, vuole concentrarsi sul monitor. A differenza delle altre tastiere, i led diffondono molta luce lateralmente al tasto, tale luce continua anche per una dozzina di centimetri. se lo schermo è molto scuro o ci sono zone buie nello schermo, apparirà il bagliore prodotto dalla luce delle file di tasti esc, f1, etc e anche della fila numerica
-la porta USB produce una fastidiosa luce bianca, non c'è modo di spegnerla. ho dovuto provvedere con il nastro adesivo. lo stesso discorso vale anche con il tasto di selezione per lo schermo LCD, non c'è modo di spegnerlo.. dovuto anche li provvedere a coprirlo con il nastro adesivo
-uno dei tasti della mia tastiera, dopo poche settimane di utilizzo si è bruciato e non riesce più a riprodurre il colore verde

..IL SOFTWARE - 4/5, un po' sottotono, con dei difetti
+effetti rgb predefiniti abbastanza belli
-facendo click con il tasto destro su uno dei profili, il software crasha dando errore critico. poco professionale
-a ogni avvio di windows, il punto di attuazione della flag di windows torna a default
-per qualche motivo non si può rimappare il tasto funzione, ne disattivarlo

Schermo LCD - Bello, ma abbastanza inutile 2/5
+googlando "5 Fun Ways To Use Your OLED Display", troverete un articolo di steelseries che mette a disposizione svariate gif da mettere sul vostro mini schermo
+è possibile invertire velocemente i colori di immagini e gif, premendo "inversione"
+c'è un profilo per CSGO per mostrare KDA e denaro. probabilmente ci sono profili anche per altri giochi
-l'aspect ratio viene convertito a casaccio, le immagini o gif che si vogliono inserire devono essere 128x36 per ottenere una fedeltà ottimale
-Mancano funzioni che potevano essere facili da implementare e che potevano dare finalmente un'utilità al piccolo LCD, tipo mostrare l'ora di sistema, mostrare l'utilizzo di ram e cpu, timer, etc

CONCLUSIONE
mi sento di consigliare la tastiera, in quanto è molto versatile avendo punto di attuazione personalizzabile. Nelle foto è presente anche una Razer Huntsman TKL tournament edition

Una buonissima tastiera che utilizzo durante le ore serali/notturne come soluzione silenziosa rispetto alla mia main che è meccanica. Questa chiaramente non è meccanica ma comunque è una buona soluzione per titoli che non sono competitivi o che richiedono particolari combinazioni veloci di tasti. Ha anche un software che però non utilizzo, la uso semplicemente plug and play. Ottime misure circa come tutte le tkl. Buoni i materiali, non scricchiola. Buona l'illuminazione e anche il feedback dei tasti a membrana

Terza tastiera Steelseries che utilizzo. Come le altre (1 apex pro e una apex 7) è robusta e funziona alla grande, inoltre gli mx blue cherry per me sono ineguagliabili quanto a sensazioni nell'uso. Gestione dell'illuminazione via soft perfetta. Aggiungo che la utilizzo per la maggior parte del tempo per lavoro, non per gaming.

Si buscas un teclado TKL de membrana silencioso y de calida, este es tu teclado.

Ottima tastiera acquistata per gaming, ed per IP32 utile per chi beve e puo cadere un po dell'acqua sulla tastiera. Ottimo supporto software e anche con Windows 11 viene messo il software in automatico.

It’s quite expensive for a mechanic keyboard, but worthy for the gaming, RGB, control and comfort if you are into long sessions of gaming.

Mechanical key feel great , and also the resistance of key press is smooth

~Big upgrade from my APEX M750 purchased quite some years ago.
~Slightly smaller than the APEX M750 (without the wrist rest) but looks and feels prestigious.
~OLED screen displays system status because the image I created does not translate well on the screen.
~Feel of the new switches are pretty amazing, especially since I can set the actuation point much higher so I can effectively type much faster (or at least feel like I'm typing much faster).
~Magnetic wrist rest feels great but needs to be maintained (just cover with a cloth to prevent dust from gathering)
~Absolutely love how customizable this keyboard is

Utilizzo questa tastiera da 1 anno e mezzo e mi trovo benissimo , fluida morbida reattiva e silenziosa, facile da regolare con il software o con la rotella. La regolazione dei singoli tasti è fondamentale per far si che non si attivino funzioni a caso , comodissimo anche l’attacco usb presente sulla parte anteriore , personalmente non mi trovo molto bene con il poggia polsi , ma per chi scrive spesso può essere molto comodo ed è facilmente rimovibile. Attenzione al layout , per chi gioca consiglio quello americano in quanto lo shift sinistro è largo e non è presente l’accento tra lo shift e la a che personalmente è molto fastidioso mentre si gioca.

The keyboard is way better than what I expected for this price. Pressing the keys has a solid feeling, all keys work perfectly fine after almost half a year of everyday use. I don't really care about the colours, so I might be not the best one to judge, but they are quite bright and there is a possibility to change brightness and colour set up. The magnetic pad is also a great thing.

One really small minus occurs due to the height of the keys - unwanted dust and small pieces of different trash might get under the keys.

Kit tastiera e mouse ottimo, venendo da molte tastiere meccaniche di marche blasonate posso dire che questo kit non ha nulla da invidiare in fatto di velocità, feeling e rumorosità. Tasti ben fatti e non scricchiolanti, ottimo feedback. Per quanto riguarda il mouse avevo già la versione con il filo, questo wireless è praticamente identico ma ha il vantaggio appunto di essere wireless, unica nota dolente del mouse è un po pesante ma è soggettivo

Tra le migliori tastiere low cost firmata Apex c’è poco da dire perfetta pensata per i gamer a un buon prezzo e di buona qualità la consiglio molto

Non gamer, je cherchais un clavier à l'ancienne et ce sont les claviers mécaniques gamers qui s'en approchent le plus. En prime, le retroéclairage, car avec les réglages dispos, on peut sans souci avoir un clavier à peine tape à l'oeil. Quant au Qwrnerty, j'ai découvert il y a 5 ans que c'était 100× plus simple au final que l'azerty, les caractères spéciaux sont hyper faciles à réaler. Plus besoin de chercher le caractère spécial rarement utilisé et quelle facilité de mettre des accents sur ses majuscules sans passer par les laborieuses combinaisons du type alt+144. Je recommande et encourage tous ceux qui hésitent à franchir le pas, ce n'est pas si dur et on voit très vite les nombreux avantages.

Ce clavier est cher mais il vaut largement son prix

Bien:
Les touches Omnipoint sont linéaires, très agréable au toucher et permettent de changer le temps d'actuation selon l'usage,
Les MX reds sur les côtés sont bons mais un peu moins que les OP.
L'écran est un bon plus, c'est un gadget mais il permet (dans mon cas) de montrer les températures système et il permet de changer de profils sans avoir installé le pilote.
Aussi, le RGB est très bon combiné avec des touches pudding, j'y reviendrai plus tard.
Le pilote est sympathique, beaucoup de customisation malgré un manque d'applications pour l'écran Oled.
Le port USB sur le clavier est un bon +.
Le reposé poignet est sympa de même.
Un bon châssis fait en Aluminium rend l'expérience meilleure.
Des touches média et une roue de volume sont disponibles à côté de l'écran.

Moins bon:
Le plastique utilisé pour les touches est du ABS, qui est connu pour attraper les huiles de la peau, je recommande donc d'acheter des touches PBT MX like pour aller avec,
J'utilise celles de HyperX et elles sont super.
La barre espace est comme toutes les autres, elle fait du bruit et est dure à modifier.

Proper layout that I am used to. Can map shortcuts to different pressure levels. Most keys are configurable. Easy to clean. Especially oils from detachable wrist rest

Lo tiene todo bonito,duradero,buena rgb,puedes configurar lo swiches,tienes pantalla para hacer lo que quiera en fin el mejor teclado del mercado

Tralasciando l'estetica che è veramente bella, i led sono molto luminosi, i colori intensi e moltissimi; la personalizzazione che offrono il software e la tastiera è devastante. è il top, gli switch sono i piu veloci che abbia provato, ci vuole un pò di allenamento ad abituarsi al timing che all'inizio può risultare un pò complicato ma una volta presa la mano si nota la differenza, e la regolazione della pressione dei tasti è veritiera e precisa quindi non bisogna per forza adattarsi, top.

this is really nice budget keyboard. I really like it, especially the mini factor. I really don't need a numeric keypad.
but I also use it for my 9-5 work and there is an issue.
I have no idea who decided that the control LED for capslock should be hidden behind the Insert/home buttons, you really need a top-down view to see it.

Mijn vorige toetsenbord was aan vervanging toe. In vergelijking met de vroegere IBM mechanische toetsenborden heeft de Apex 3 gevoelsmatig hogere toetsen, met een scherpere afronding van de toetsen. Dat vergt wat gewenning om doelgericht de toetsen in te drukken. De bouwkwaliteit moet ik nog gaan ervaren, maar het eerste gevoel, van zowel de stevigheid als de feedback van de toetsen is prettig en doeltreffend. De media knoppen (2) zijn prima te gebruiken en het is fijn dat het toetsenbord niet zo gigantisch is.

Al met al ben ik blij met de keuze om voor dit toetsenbord te gaan. Al hadden de toetsen wel iets minder scherp/hard afgerond mogen zijn. Dat is een puntje om rekening mee te houden.

Insieme a questa tastiera possiedo 2 Apex 7 e una Corsair Mk 70.2 low profile.Ooltre ad aver provato decine di altre tastiere.
Questa tastiera è estremamente durevole i tasti hanno un effetto come se fossero i cherry clear. il fatto che sia impermeabile e resistente alla polvere o allo sporco è fantastico i tasti non hanno nessun gioco. Il feeling per scrivere è fantastico e ritengo che sia migliore di tutte le tastiere meccaniche che ho provato. Molta gente pensa che per il fatto di avere una tastiera a membrana hai una tastiera che dura meno secondo me non è affatto così e sfido chiunque a utilizzare questa tastiera fino a fine vita. Oltre a questo la tastiera è estremamente leggera e i tasti sono molto più solidi e resistenti, infatti con una tastiera meccanica tradizionale se la metti nello zaino per portarla in giro tutti i giorni scoprirai che è molto pesante e rischi di rompere gli switch. Mentre questa tastiera è super robusta e sufficientemente silenziosa e per sua stessa natura possiede una montatura dei tassi infinitamente più resistente. Infine ritengo che il series sia il miglior marchio che esiste al mondo di tastiere. Ho provato veramente tutte le marche e tantissime Marche hanno software penosi altre marche producono tastiere che sembrano fatte di plasticaccia
