I bought an HP Pavilion P6-2390 Desktop from Amazon during Black Friday. The HP came with 4 GB of RAM. I wanted to max out the system with another 4 GB of RAM. I bought this, installed the RAM in the empty RAM slot, and was on my way. The system had no issue recognizing the RAM.

Feel free to spend more for RAM with the same latency if you like. It's not necessary. This stuff works fine.

UPDATE: After reviewing the BIOS version for myself, my Dell Optiplex 380 was on a very old version. After updating, this RAM works great! I would also like to commend Silicon-Power support, as they were quick and courteous!This RAM was purchased for a small side project, so I wasn't looking for really expensive stuff. After reviewing the specs on my machine (Dell Optiplex 380), I found this RAM to be compatible and purchased it. Fulfilled by Amazon (on prime), so it arrived in one day. I pulled the old ram out of the machine, put the new stuff in and nothing.... just Dell's trade-tell buzzing. I re-seated everything and still nothing. Put the old ram back in, everything worked. Then i thought maybe the bios needed a reset so i popped the new RAM back, yanked the BIOS battery, let it sit for a few minutes and powered it up, but still no love.I have emailed Silicon Power and am waiting a reply. I doubt i have two bad sticks, but who knows. After further review of additional sites, I am sure this RAM should be compatible. I will update and hopefully change my star rating when i hear from support!

Memory worked great and price was great. No problems with RAM. Installed very easy and computer had no problem recognizing memory.

One stick works great, the other was DOA. For the people who are wonderinf about that lifetime warranty... I emailed USTech@silicon etc and it was returned undeliverable. Also, the tech support number goes to voicemail. Proceed with caution, go with A Data.UPDATE: Got an RMA Request from Silicon Power, want me to SHIP IT TO TAIWAN. I'll never see it again. WILL NOT PURCHASE EVER AGAIN.

Received quickly as described. Works on a dell desktop inspiron 570. Make sure ur Cpu has the current BIOS FIRMWARE(tm) Amd quad 4.
