Lasted only for 30 days. I bought it for the extra storage but the HDD concked off. I might have been unlucky with a faulty piece but I was really very disappointed. I used it in my HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop and it developed a clicking sound within 20 days and within the next 8 days it crashed. I tried everything but the HDD didn't work. I went back to using the Fujitsu HDD 120 GB that came originally with the laptop.

Worked like a charm replacing an old Hard drive that died. Had to reuse the old drives carrier that screwed on perfectly and installed in laptop perfectly.

It works great and I love it. My only regret is not getting a larger drive of about 250 to 500 gb.Thank you.:)

My other ps3 HDD was giving problems with games they were stuttering throughout game play and i was really bothered by it but with the Seagate Momentus it stopped the stuttering and i'm really happy

I have a Toshiba Satellite A105 laptop. I ordered this hard drive to replace the original drive that crashed and burned. The new Seagate hard drive is now installed and works perfectly. I reinstalled Windows XP on it without any issues whatsoever.However, the hard drive comes with mounting tabs on one end and and one mounted screw on the other. They are not compatible with my laptop's mounting system, so I had to remove them. I'm sure some people would be reluctant, but it is no big deal to remove them. I wrapped the drive carefully to seal out any grindings, then used my Dremmel and a tiny grinding wheel to remove the two tabs and the mounting screw holder. After that, it was a snug fit but went in perfectly.Note: The hard drive arrived with a little plastic handle mounted on the drive. don't remove it! That little tab makes a great device to hold onto when pulling the hard drive onto the SATA connectors.
