Плохо
- + Пишут про надёжность, но проверить это трудно, если не купишь десяток и не узнаешь, сколько из них накрылость через три года. Других достоинств не выявлено. Винт как винт.
- - Кто сказал, что тихий? Повёлся на эти комментарии и купил. Оказался НАМНОГО громче имеющегося WD Green. Более высокая громкость как двигателя (постоянный шум), так и работы головок (треск).
Второй недостаток - цена. Благо, купил его с рук за 3000, тогда как в магазине 7800.
Громкость HDD - для меня самый важный параметр, поскольку винт...

The hard drive is actually 2 TB drive and has a 750 GB extended volume that acts like a separate hard drive. No where in the literature did it say anything about a second volume to make up the 3 TB. I am dissapointed and was not looking for two drives built into one. I had to download the Seagate drive manager to initialize the extended volume it was not possible through Windows. Not user friendly and was not what I was expecting.

I purchased these Seagate Constellation ES.2 3TB drives over the Western Digital Red 3TB drive based on their solid historical performance. These drives have a higher MTBF than the Western Digital RED drives. They also spin at 7200 RPM without question.I have 5 of these drives installed in a Synology DS1511+, for a total of 12TB in a RAID-5 configuration. I think this should be enough to hold all my family's music, pictures, and video files for some time.These drives Rock. I would recommend these to anyone who wants Enterprise class performance in whatever device they are installed in. The 5 year warranty helps give that extra peace of mind as well.

When you put so much capacptiy on a drive, it MUST be ultra reliable. The sheer size of the drive makes backups etc a bit tough. This was a great price. I think the EA3 was mislabeled. It was really an ES2. A bit less cache - but it meets my goals perfectly

I was a little skeptical at first since these drives were OEM but they have been running wonderfully. I have been using them for about a month now for a NAS using RAID 0 and the speed and reliability has been tremendous. I recommend this product to others.

I'm guessing mechanical drives are on the way out and that is great for the prices coming down on a 3TB enterprise class drive. I'll take that anyway. The drive is working great, though I just recently installed it, but being an enterprise drive I have every belief it will be around long enough to do its job. I recommend it.

So much for enterprise-class drives. Literally on the 33rd day, one of my four drives bought for my QNAP NAS failed. Bummer. Just three days out of the return/exchange window through Amazon and now I have to deal with the manufacturer. That's always a nightmare. Wish these drives were as reliable as they claim to be.

Seagate Constellation ES.2 3 TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch Internal Bare Drive ST33000650NSI've purchased two of these now for my RAID network storage unit. Huge capacity and they've run without a single glitch ever since I installed them over six months ago. My wife can now take pictures to her heart's content and there will be room for them!

This Drive is said to work in Synology DS1512+. However, Seagate recently changed the firmware, which now causes intermittent failures when used with Synology. Go with another drive if your're using a NAS.

Slid eight of these 3TB wonders into my new Synology DiskStation 8-Bay (Diskless) Network Attached Storage - Black (DS1812+) and configured with 2-drive fault tolerance. Write speed is always in excess of 100 MB/sec and sometimes hits 123 MB/sec. These drives are expensive and worth every cent! Am also using the DS1812+ as iSCSI file storage for a VMware ESX server and it's performing very well. Very pleased with these drives and with the Synology DiskStation 8-Bay (Diskless) Network Attached Storage - Black (DS1812+).

This is not slamming this particular vendor or this device. Since Amazon doeasn't have a place to list warranty's you need to ask. There are many "versions" of this and other hard drives for sale on Amazon. They do NOT all come with the Seagate 5 year limited warranty. Some, even though brand new, come with no warranty at all.
