no doubt this product is durable, it is smoothly work anywhere, but adata and crucial brand is also tough player for this market, i purchase a adata 8 gb ram and also 2nd ssd is crucial 240gb, perfect combination

Good useful product.
This is my first time using an SSD. I updated my 5 yr old laptop with this. It's really fast. Boot up speed is roughly around 10 secs, I have never counted it but sometimes it feels even less than 10 secs. Laptop feels snappy. I saved buying a new laptop by upgrading the old one with this SSD. Now it feels better than new. I do regular work and not much gaming. It gets the work done pretty nicely. I replaced my HDD with this SSD and mounted the HDD with a caddy in place of my optical disk drive(which I almost never use).

Bang for buck
Gives a new lyf to your pc/laptop.Speeds are really good,about 520 read and 480 write.Go for it,using it past 2 months with a 500gb hard disk put in place of cd drive of the laptop.Go for it.

Seagate has always been my personal favourite when it comes to storage device, never been down In any scenario, the form factor of this drive is pretty small and light in terms of size and weight. Worth it if bought over sale.

SSD has made my computer superfast
After my hard disk failed due to accidental fallout from a height, I was searching for a hard disk. The laptop repair mechanic suggested me to go for SSD 240 GB drive of Seagate barracuda. I bought it from amazon at best price and got installed. After loading OS and other apps, I found that the boot time of laptop has increased significantly. Compared to my previous drive, it is 10X time faster and i am loving it. To overcome the low storage capacity, Caddy can be fitted in the optical disk drive in which hard disk of 1 TB, 500 gb can be installed.

Worth considering before changing laptop
So far a good product..
If your laptop is slow and you are thinking to change it consider changing the hard drive to ssd.
I have 7 yrs old Dell vostro3546 laptop working perfectly but from past few months facing issue and damm slowness tried formatting it as well but didn't workout.
Ao consider changing the HDD to SSD.
And as I thought its again started working like a charm...
If your laptop is slow and you are thinking to change it consider changing the hard drive to ssd.

As another reviewer has written that Adata Su650 has 2M hours of Op btw failures (officially) but this seagate has only 1M .....but that is wrong, the official statement for this model is 1.8M Hours in the description and secondly I have had seagate 500GB HDD for 10 years now and it has been used quite rigourously and finally it is failing after 33000+ hours of usage while the official stats was only 20,000 hours.
From personal use and given Seagate's rep and experience, I would prefer the tested and experienced. Seagate also gives a free tool for monitoring etc..
At a given price range all SSD's would perform for the similar period of time with similar speeds......speeds dependent on other factors as hardware, usage etc.
So cost, experience, preference is all that matters really.

Actually it's a value for money product.
I installed it on my pc. I don't play games on that. But it boosted my pc. Although there are some more product who gives better speed and price. But as a brand it's a good item.

The product is not mentioned on the Indian site
The Segate is always reliable. The product is good but be careful the product is imported from Thailand and you wont be able to find it on Indian Segate site. I really dont know how we can claim the warranty as product is not listed in indian sote. Whereas you can find it on Thai site as it is listed there. Try to by product from indian origin or lusted on indian company sites as it will be difficult later to claim warranty..

Glad I found this on offer! Great performance
Review after a few months of use. I used it to replace my partner's HDD on her ASUS Vivobook. It works very well and obviously it sped up the system a lot.
Wish it came with a antistatic foil wrap as I had to recycle the one of the HDD but other than that all good.

It's performance is purely average and nothing groundbreaking when it comes to copying files from/to an external source. Boot up speed is significantly faster though as compared to a Hard disk. overall it's ok -ish .
