- + Работает лет 5-6 точно раньше была хорошая модель.

- + На момент покупки считалась быстрой моделью
- - Сильная вибрация двигателя, которая создает заметный низкочастотный гул всего системника.
Проработал около 5 лет. К существенным недостаткам могу отнести сильную вибрацию...

SHIPPING TOOK FOREVER!!! ..... But ... That's because of the MLK Holliday so whatever. Other than that ... The Product Works PERFECT.Brand New In Factory Plastic. Haven't Seen Such a Great Price For This hardrive anywhere. Service was Prompt and quick to respond.

dont recall if u got the drive off this site, but had gotten it after a wd raptor failed on me, so i needed a drive fast ! this one seemed like an option. installed xp, then started noting that this was a lot slower than most for the ide drives that i had running, lad times seemed comparable to 7200 drives, but general drive responsiveness was weird...until today happened - browsing my stuff, then.. click-click, system freezes ! carefully, rebooted. backed up some stuff.. once again click-click system freezes.rebooted again, froze right after it got into windoze, drive unresponsive, at least no clicking but no blinking either.took the drive off, to afraid to boot from it, started full imagind.. will see on the progress..but: light usage on desktop text editing and surfing system and drive messing up after 7 months? whoa there ! not even the raptors died that fast !.one positive thing as it does not got too hot. but if drive is dead thats no help

I use RAID having 3 of these HD connected together, the oldest one was installed on January of 2008, the other 2 were installed in June of 2008. Today I received a message from the system stating that one of the HD were not working. I removed it, and tried to read it on other machine... it's dead. Pretty unexpectable for just 1 year of use. Yes, it worked 1 year 24/7 but I believe it should last much longer. Unfortunatelly, I will have to purchase a new one... so I do not need to replace the other 2, since my RAID system requires identical HDs.

Well, I've only had this drive for a few weeks, but so far it's been great. No problems at all, but it's definitely a little on the small end. I have a feeling I'll be needing to upgrade for more space fairly soon.

I have purchased 16 of these drives for various computers built for clients. Seagate/Maxtor makes a great SATA drive. Not one has failed. Exceptional speed and very quite. Not sure what the last reviewers issue was other that a bad warranty from DELL. Seagate will advance a new drive within days of reporting a defect( I know this from a drive that went bad some years back). They will also offer an upgrade for a small price to a larger capacity drive. Like any electronics...things break no matter what brand it is. I have been in the consumer electronics business over 25 years and seen it all!

I installed the disk without any issue. It is running smooth. Thinner than my old WD drive. Fast and cheap.

I got this (actually the 7200.9) inside my Dell. It failed after less than two years. Of course the warrenty (from Dell, not Seagate) is just 1 year. So that's that -- pretty lame, basically.
