Good speakers- bad documentation

I purchased these speakers to go with my Samsung HW-Q700A sound bar, and they worked quite well once I got them set up. I had no difficulty in pairing them from about 15 feet away from the main sound bar, and they both sound and look good. My biggest compliant was the documentation. Both the sound bar and the speakers from Samsung come with little to no documentation, and there is no way you can figure out how to use them on your own as the controls on the sound bar and the remote are not intuitive at all. I downloaded the full manuals which provided a lot more information, and also found a few videos which helped a lot. The power cords that come with the speaker set are way too short to be of much use, but there are cords with the same plug readily available on Amazon in 8, 10, 12, and 15 foot lengths. I had hoped to route the cord through speaker stands that I purchased for them- but the plugs were just too big. I ended up cutting the cords in the middle then splicing them back together in order to keep a neat appearance on the stand. My only suggestion to Samsung on the design would be to try to find a smaller power cord that can more easily fit in a speaker stand pole.

These are great

I own a Samsung q600 3.1.2 channel soundbar. I bought these speakers to go with it to make it a 5.1.2. At first they weren’t working well at all. The volume was so low you could barely hear it. Then I figured out how to raise the volume through the soundbar so I turned it up to the max of 6. (-6 to 6) and it still wasn’t great. I almost returned them and then I figured out the problem! My tv and devices were set to pcm audio. I changed it to both the dts and the atmos setting instead and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. The speakers work excellent now! My surround sound system is perfect with these additional speakers. I see many people having the same volume issue. If you are, I suggest looking in your tv audio settings and changing it from pcm(which I think is default) to the dts or atmos (must be using hdmi eARC)I use the dts but I’ve gotten similar results from both. MAKES THE DIFFERENCE!!!

I added these to my Q700A after finding the 700A good, but not "wow". Well, these definitely give the WOW! They add so much depth and spatial feel that I consider them a "must have" if you are into theater level sound.

Great speakers, just seems more sound could be thrown to the rears

Added these to the Q800A soundbar set up and we're enjoying the surround effects. It just feels like more sound should be coming from the rears through the whole movie instead of just peak moments. But that could just be how I have them set up. I might need to raise their volume a notch or something. Overall great quality sound and build.

They definitely need another boost because they are not very loud at all and way smaller than expected for the price. For what you pay I don’t see how it matches up to the quality of sound.

Volume seems to be a concern

The volume goes from -6 to +6. So, set the rear top & rear front speakers to +6, but if they are not load enough essentially get them to + 7 by making each of the other speakers. -1… (or + 8 by -2…). Worked fine. Highly recommend speakers..

Sounds awesome with deep bass especially for Bluetooth music

I love this product ... Between the soundbar and the rear speakers it has awesome sound and the best part ... When I am in the room with the sub and speakers I can feel the bass in my chest ... But once I leave the room or if I am outside you can't hear the pounding of the bass at all ... Amazing system ... Only drawback was that the soundbar only has an digital optical and not an HDMI ARC in ... But for my uses that doesn't matter

Love them

I bought the q700a sound bar about a month ago and then order the wireless surround sound speakers for them. It was very easy to install and get setup/added to the system.

They sounds great once you set them up just make sure to go into sound bar settings and turn the volume up for the surround speakers.

Pro is there is no speaker cables to run just power

The con is the speakers only use power cable and the power cable is only about 6 feet long keep that in mind.

I'm looking to get stands for them then try to order 15ft power cables to they can sit on stands and have long enough cord to plug into wall outlet

Makes a big difference in sound quality and easy to set up.

Added these to my Q900 Samsung Soundbar, which is attached to my Q90AAF Samsung Television and it completed the whole setup and gave me a better listening experience. My home is a Chalet design with a wide open living room/dinning room and an 18 foot tall ceiling, so there is a lot of open space that can be a challenge for soundbar and satellite speakers, but this combination works very well for my situation. I would guess that a more standard room with 8 foot tall ceilings would be even better.

Almost forgot. Once I mounted these speakers and plugged them into 120v outlets, connecting them to my soundbar/sub-woofer took a couple minutes at the most.

I could not be happier.

Depends on movie or progran

The speakers are ok, thought they were much bigger size, sometimes you can clearly hear the sounds coming from them and sometimes you have to get real close to hear the sound coming from it, I have also noticed that a clear and good sound will come from them depending on the movie or program you are watching. Overall it’s not bad

Great speakers, garbage speaker wire

The speakers are great and easy to install. They're easy to pair with the soundbar, and the center unit is small and easy to store under furniture. The speaker wire that is included (which runs from the speakers to the control unit - that unit wirelessly connects to the soundbar) is garbage, though. We were hearing a lot of crackling, one speaker was going in and out intermittently, and there was a lot of interference from a nearby air purifier. We switched it to some beefier, better quality wire we had on hand, and not a single issue since.

Incorrect Website Information

Speakers do not work with our soundbar as the Samsung website says they will. After unsuccessfully trying to connect speakers with soundbar, we called Samsung directly. They informed us that they were not compatible. No idea how good the speakers are as we were unable to use them. Returned

great speakers for a decent price

Worked flawlessly with my Samsung HW-Q900T. The sound level was very low at firstm however, if you research online you quickly learn that if you use the sound at remote...go to settings...rear speakers...there is a secret menu to adjust the different rear frequencies for the rear speakers. Press the settings button til you get to “Rear Speakers” and then hold down the settings button. The screen will now say “Rear Level” and now you can press the up button to increase the volume.

The problem is when you first cycle through the sound selections of SOUND CONTROL after integrating the rear speakers into your sound bar you will see TREBLE BASS AUDIO SYNC REAR SPEAKERS ON REAR SPEAKER LEVEL but because the info window is so limited what you see after Audio Sync is REA and if you press it again you also see REA and may think it's the same control window so you need to give it time to show the entire message.

I am happy with the speakers and they work fantastic after turning up all the rear frequencies.

Great way to fill your room and experience Atmos at its best

This is one of my best investments for a budget minded Dolby Atmos setup. Games that support Atmos, 5.1 or 7.1 audio will be at whole another level. But I have neither observed nor experienced any significant surround differences even with Atmos enabled movie as I did in a theater or more higher end sound system. Your mileage may vary through. I just tried marvel movies with Atmos.

Good sound, once you get it set up properly.

Pairing was a touch tricky to get both synced up with my soundbar but once that was done it’s been a really great addition and I finally feel like I have a legitimate home theater system.

Changing volume of the speakers is also not incredibly easy, needing to use the menu system on the tiny LCD display of the main soundbar unit to pump up the output volume of these little guys.

Overall it’s wireless and I like the integration of Samsung products altogether. However seamless pairing and control like an apple product this is not, bring some patience along with you when you open these up. Surround sound quality is very good would definitely buy again.

Lo compre para ampliar el sonido Dolby Atmos para la barra q800a, se conectaron sin problemas, lo único malo es que no tiene auto voltaje, es solo para 120 voltios y en mi país usamos 220v tengo que usar un transformador de 50w para poder disponer de ellos. Después todo bien con los parlantes. Deberían mejorar la app para poder administrar mejor el sonido en los parlantes eso sería un gol de parte de Samsung.

Perfect if you have available power outlets and don't want to run wires. Sound is good. Easy to set-up and pair with a touch of a button. Easily adjusted in soundbar settings via remote but not in app for some reason. They look great and seem to be well constructed.

Low volume output despite setting them to 6+, wire is way too thin.

Connectors to the receiver look to be proprietary so wire upgrade is limited to splicing thicker gauge wire to the lower gauge wire just prior to the connector.

Great loud surround speakers

They sound awesome and loud but you can adjust the rear sound level I have it at -04, I have them paired to the Samsung A60M (Walmart model) and using Roku premier 4K they work great as long as you have 5.1 available on the apps Netflix, Hulu, prime, peacock, etc. Pluto, Tubi, etc only output pcm 2.1, you’ll have to press surround mode on the sound bar remote for the rear to work. Other wise if 5.1 is available it’ll automatically switch

“Wireless Speakers” that are connected by…you guessed it…wires. I understand its not connected to the tv by wires but you still have wired running across your wall. Not wireless. Return

Didn't Work with my Samsung Soundbar

I purchased this after buying a Samsung soundbar. I read the description and it said it was wireless, it worked with the soundbar, it was easy to install. It was easy to install but it's not wireless and it didn't work when I hooked it up. I returned to Amazon for a refund. I don't recommend.

Solid speakers to round out a 5.1 setup

These speakers are a good upgrade for me, going from just a 3.1 soundbar to what is now a 5.1 surround setup. I've see many reviews mention how quiet the speakers seem to be, and as far as I can tell these surround speakers are working as intended, being quiet (or even no sound) in content that's not mastered for 5.1 or simply doesn't have sound cing from behind the viewer. These speakers add fullness and directionality when watching content or playing games that make good use of surround sound. Recommended.

I depended on reviews to make my decision. This is an expensive purchase for me and I kept waiting for something to be wrong. I did a system match with my soundbar. I play music in the tv room since the sound is so grand.

Very loud. You just need to adjust volume to +6.

Each left and right speakers have its own power cable, unlike the older model. Each speaker connects to the soundbar wirelessly. The two speakers are not connected to each other, this way you can place them where ever you want with no limited distance between the two. Some people say their speakers aren't loud enough, you just have to push the settings button (the "gear" on the remote) and increase the rear speakers to +6. I just watched The Tomorrow War starring Chris Pratt on Amazon Prime bullets shooting, helicopter flying, aliens running this surround sound system was amazing.

Freakin awesome!

These speakers are great! Easy to setup just make sure you throughly read the directions and read the entire message on your soundbar menu. There are options to turn rear speakers ON and another to turn the level up. I put mine on 6 and they sound amazing! I have Samsung everything so not sure if they work with other brands but definitely with the setup I have.

Works but is very difficult to get set up to sound bar,

Very difficult to get wireless unit set up to sound bar. Samsung information included are very sparce at best. I contacted Samsung and they could not figure out how to make it work. In fact they told me to return it because they could not make it hook up to the sound bar saying "there must be something wrong with it". My neighbor finally figured out how to make it work. Sound from rear speakers is extremely LOW. I added a small Pyle PCA2 amplifier to increase the sound output to the speakers. To make it usable.

Great addition to my Samsung Sound Bar

Ordered it as it is not available in South Africa at the time of purchase.

Took a risk purchasing it as South Africa has a 230v power supply.
Connected perfectly with my Q600A sound bar.

Only had to change the figure 8 plug to a South African one. This was expected.

Sound quality is brilliant for surround sound.
Will recommend.

Arrived way earlier than expected which was a bonus.

not worth it

The volume on the surround speakers are not very good even with the volume all the way up on the speakers they are still pretty quiet overall. I do not think they are worth the money and the wires for the speakers can also be an issue they are quite long but its hard to hide wires i would have rather had some sort of wireless system . These are being used with my Samsung sound bar Q800T
