as advertised, and faster than expected delivery
I had an old Galaxy S8 that I recently broke. This one I purchased replaced it. I tried to newer Galaxy, the s20 and s22 and they did not operate Android Auto as they should. I even spoke with Samsung who told me they were developing a fix; which was over 6 months in the making for the s22 - so I bought my trusty s8 with no issues or regets

Es funktioniert einbahnfrei. Die Lieferung ist ein Tag früher angekommen. Also nur 2 anstatt 3 Tage habe ich auf das Handy gewartet. Super Service ! Gerne wieder !

I have Cricket Wireless
I always wish people put what carrier they have in these reviews so when it doesn't work we can know if it's the same carrier we have. I have cricket wireless which operates just like AT&T by using a Sim Card. The description of the phone says it won't work with Verizon so make sure to check that your carrier uses a Sim Card.
My phone was unlocked and ready to go! It came just like a brand new phone and asked me to go through all the prompts to set it up. While it's a refurbished phone, I honestly don't even know what they fixed. It feels brand new and works great! It's very fast and I haven't found a single thing wrong with it. After buying this phone I will never buy a new one again. It was a great price and I'm very happy with it!
I also wanted to add that I did a lot of research between the S8 and the S9. From what I can find online you don't get a significant upgrade between the two so save your money and grab yourself one of these S8's! The next big upgrade is the S10 and it's a lot more expensive. For what I use my phone for (texting, browsing FB and IG, Taking Photos, running 2 businesses) the S8 works perfectly and fits all my needs.
Update: I've had this phone since February and still works perfectly!

the phone is fast
So I went to Spectrum to activate this phone and was told the sim card was switched from a A42
The rep had a very hard time even though the IMEI was the same. So after two hours he finally was able to activate it. So far so good

Meine Erfahrung: Erstes Handy gekauft - Kamera defekt - aufgenommenen Videos rauschen - Handy zurückgesendet - neues Handy bekommen - alle Daten neu überspielt - neues Handy stürzt regelmäßig ab - Akkukapazität schwach unter 80% des Neuzustandes - Anfrage bei Amazon, das Handy zurückzugeben und Geld zurückzubekommen abgelehnt- die Amazon- Renewed- Garantie würde das nicht abdecken, sondern nur Nachbesserung/Reperatur - nur Ärger damit...

Defective speaker
Defective speaker. Unable to hear incoming telephone conversation. Can only hear if loud speaker is on. Had local technican replace speaker for $70!

Habe "renewed" mal ausprobiert. Amazon verspricht keine bis geringe Gebrauchsspuren, stattdessen ein massiver Kratzer auf dem Display. Bin echt enttäuscht!

The most beautiful phone in the world
I love this phone it was voted the most beautiful phone in the world . The only problem I had is It did unlocked but did not work with xfinity mobile but did work with Verizon,T mobile & At & T just not the one I need of course but it's a awesome phone highly recommened

May need a full reflash before you can use it
Phone arrived in great condition. Battery test shows 2914 of the original 3000mah still available in battery at full charge. That's good.
Only problem- software would not update. See, I'm a t-mobile customer, but I received a Verizon phone. So the phone needed to be reflashed, or it will never update the software again. I live in a semi-rural area, so this involved a 1 hour drive each way, and a 4.5 hrs wait at UBreakIFix (auth T-Mobile svc ctr)
Otherwise excellent, but I never expected to have to give up a full day and drive 150+ miles total just to get it working properly. Very disappointed in this aspect of the purchase. Fortunately, it was no charge, because the bimary file download for the refresh took so long, and apologized.
Otherwise, great little phone. Just consider adding a day of your time,and maybe a few $$ to get it running properly, depending upon your network.
Charger that arrived with phone would not charge it. Seller sent a proper charger within a few days. I appreciate their help.

Replacement for old GS8.
I love the GS8. I went looking for a new phone but they don't make the GS8 anymore and a new phone of similar size and weight was $1500. A refurbished one was ~$160. Since my only issue with my old phone was poor battery life, a refurbished one fit my needs. Transferring data was a breeze, I took the sim card out of my old Verizon, put it into an AT&T phone and Verizon reflashed it over the air to work with their network. Flawless!

Bad Reception
I'm writing this review 4 months after purchase, too late to return. I bought this phone because I was having poor reception on AT&T with my old Motorola phone, and I have a Galaxy S8 phone on Verizon that would always connect to cell towers at the same time/place. I bought this renewed Galaxy S8 to eliminate the old phone as the problem This renewed phone had the same reception problem, so I attributed it to the AT&T signal. I just switched it to Verizon, and it still has very poor reception. Side by side with the identical phone, it captures approximately 12-15 dBm less signal. That is a BIG difference. 12 dBm is a factor of 16 difference in signal strength. Everything else on this phone works fine (screen, battery). The phone "works" when in areas of good signal strength, but not in rural areas or inside some buildings. I think this is something that should have been easily found by the company that renewed this phone (Electronic Deals), and either fixed or this phone scrapped. It's probably why the original owner parted with it. So, I'm out $214, and will never buy a renewed phone again.
By the way, after reading some of the other reviews, I checked and determined that this renewed phone had been rooted, so who knows what factory settings were changed.
