I will start by saying that I've owned every flagship device of 2015 - yes, I love my gadgets and I go through them at least once/month.
This year, however, I've taken a different approach and I've invested in the s7 edge for numerous reasons. Please, take my word for truth as I would never lie about any a gadget, nor am I samsung's fanboy (in fact, quite the opposite).

The pros:

1. Battery life - one of the most important things for me when it comes to a phone. In 2015, Z5 gave me the best battery life. All the rest of them (M9, G4, S6 in that order), had a terrible battery life, both due to the lollipop version of Android and their minimal battery capacity. As we speak, my edge has been unplugged at 100% since midnight last day. At 9PM, which is the time now, it's at 75%. That is after me having an hour screen time, and having a lot of background apps running on the phone - gmail, whatsapp, viber, facebook, messenger, hangouts, to name but a few.

2. Camera - no complaints. Not sure on the 4:3 ration decision by microsoft, but the normal wide option is also available. But low light photography is indeed very feasible, and very good. I always carry my mirrorless with me for serious photography - I expect a phone to be good enough to provide me with RAW and low light on the go. The S7 Edge does both.

3. Handling - Comfortable with a spiegen full armour case on. Though very large in screen ratio, it's not that bigger to a Z5. Normal size hands will allow for somewhat feasible one hand typing.

4. Build quality, reception, software - it's very light, and very easy and pleasing to hold. No problems with 3G/4G reception, so the poor S6 4G quality has been resolved. Touchwiz has also been greatly toned down. There is no noticeable lag, and I've yet to come across agressive memory management.

5. Screen quality - Man, that screen. When watching something colourful, or playing a game. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING comes close. Not IPhone, and most certainly not an LCD panel.

6. Wireless charging - it is still here. But no 3.0 Quickcharge. Still, it charges pretty fast with 2.0.

The bad:

1. Screen quality - Man. Those pink/green tints. This is actually my 4th S7 Edge due to white/gray uneven discoloration. Mind you now, this is not an issue everyone spots. But it's sort of like the Matrix pill scene. Once you see it you can't unsee it. Due to the way SAMOLED is manufactured, the variation of green/pink subpixels varies, to a point that some screens have very little of it, some average, and some very bad discoloration. Anandtech's review on display explains the situation. In essence, most people don't even see it. If you have eagle eyes though and are bothered by white colour consistency, you may have to go through a few handsets to find one that fits your standards. My current one has a bit of pink on an angle and on a flat face around the edges, but this I can live with since the main screen area is consistent from top to bottom and it doesn't affect readability and such.

2. Updates - though too early to tell, S6 and S6 edge is only just now receiving the marshmallow update for Android. That is, with Android N literally being just around the corner. Samsung doesn't have the best rep for pushing OTA updates, so if you are one of those folk who want the latest and greatest by Google software, look elsewhere or prepare to having to root :)

3. Screen protectors - there is nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing worthy out there to protect the S7 edge screen properly. No tempered glass gets more than 2/3 out of 5 stars from folk who have bought them. Which means, if you buy this phone you have to be very careful not to drop it. Invest in a very good case. If you drop it, the screen will probably crack.

Given all that, if there was a better phone than this out there, I'd give this one a 4/5. With the G5's recent disappointments (Consistent light leak in the bottom right corner, mixture of plastic/metal at part of the back, therefore not metal unibody, and the bottom modular component leaving a gap as well as a very poor battery and average camera in low light), I have to give the crown to Samsung.

There is also the M10 coming out quite soon. If you want to hold out for that, it'll be presented on the 12th of April and supposedly released shortly after. I am not very confident on its longevity or accessories, though I expect it to be better than the LG offering, and worse to the Samsung one. There is no perfect handset out there guys. But the S7 edge is the one that gets the closest to being one.

Великолепно

I think samsung have really stepped up their game with this phone and put themselves back in the running as one of the top smartphone manufactures.

Design:
At first glance the S7 looks very similar to the previous S6 aside from the 0.4in bigger screen (now 5.5in) and the rounded edges on the back.

It feels surprisingly comfortable to hold and to look at it up close it looks like a premium bit of kit with its glass and metal instead of the old derided plastic it used to have.

The curved edges and that very minimal bezel enables this phone to be narrower that many smartphones which have smaller screens than this one, whilst also being shorter, helping with the handling of this phone.

The screen is well, stunning. Its super sharp and has deep blacks and rich colours. The brightness range is excellent taking it from very dim to bright enough to see in direct sunlight. While Samsungs’ AMOLED screens have always been excellent in my opinion this one sets the bar even higher.

The S7 is also waterproof up to 1.5m for 30 minutes in fresh water according to IP68 standards. What makes this more impressive is that all the ports are open and don’t require any additional plugs.

Processing:
Speed wise it is the snappiest, responsive phone i have used to date. It flies though program loading, app swapping, games and other image processing/processor heavy tasks. That is due to the Exynos 8890 OCTA-core (yes thats 8 cores!). With 4GB of RAM also multitasking is just as breezy.

Battery:
This phone has the options for both quick charging and wireless charging, personally i don’t care too much for the wireless charging but the quick charge is, well quick. With a 5th of the battery remaining the phone was fully charged after 90 or so minutes via the USB 2.0 quick charge power adaptor.

Battery life itself is great. Easily lasting a day and a half with fairly constant use. A nice feature is Samsung’s new always-on screen which basically displays the time and date on the screen when it isn’t being used. Essentially avoiding having to press a button when you need to see the time, whilst also only using less than 1% of the battery per hour (supposedly). I did notice that the battery only dropped by 2% overnight when left alone which shows the pretty impressive stand by time of this unit. This always-on screen shows texts and calls, but not much else but very handy for those who don’t wear watches routinely, or can’t due to work.

Storage:
The return of the micro SD card slot, finally. Why they ever got rid of this i will never know. This time however, the SD card acts as a separate storage volume mostly for storing the larger files like music and videos. The problem with this is that some apps and some media services don’t allow content to be stored to the card meaning you’re restricted to the 32GB storage.

Camera:
Samsung’s cameras have always been good, but this one is a huge cut above the rest. The 12 megapixel sensor produces rich, in depth images which focus so fast you almost think its broken. However, all this aside i was by far the most impressed with the low light. producing some excellent non blurred photos in low light that i haven’t seen in any other smartphone. As most of us do take photos in low light its a big selling point.

The lens has an f-stop of 1.7 meaning it snaps pictures very fast and avoids blurring while, also being able to produce some really nice close up images, blurring out the background exquisitely.

In comparison the front facing ‘selfie’ camera is pretty disappointing. Producing images that lack detail no matter what mode is selected. The images appear very soft, which actually may not be a bad thing for selfie lovers.

In Conclusion; This is one of the best if not ‘the’ best smartphone on the market. Fantastic screen, very fast and responsive, a battery that lasts close to two full days, it has a micro SD card slot, an excellent camera and its waterproof!
The curved screen really makes this phone look great and make it look smaller than other phones whilst actually being larger.

However, the micro SD card isn’t as useful as they could have made it and it probably won’t receive updates as soon as the Nexus,

Would defiantly recommend this phone.

A review based on 3 days usage, switching from an Iphone 6....

This was my first android phone, after a number of years in the IOS ecosystem. I'm not going to go into all the technical details, as this phone has been reviewed once or twice on the internet by far better qualified people than me....however here are some personal observations.

Features:
A big deal for me was STORAGE SPACE. Coming from a 16gb iphone, which was always full with apps, a few music albums, an audiobook and some pictures. I was forever having to clear up some space for new photos or music to be installed. This phone takes SD cards....with a 200gb micro SD installed, (SANDISK, c£100) I have oodles of space. I am currently choosing what albums to download, and won't have to clear space up for months (obviously I've made sure precious photos get backed up to the cloud, just in case get clumsy and break/loose the phone). THere will even be space for some TV programmes to be saved for offline viewing.

WATERPROOF: I can now use this phone without worry on wet country walks.

The Camera has plenty of detail....I've cut a star off my rating as the 'auto' settings do seem to over sharpen photos...however there is a 'raw' file function for those who geek out over photography, in the 'Pro Mode' which does not sharpen the photos at all, ideal and produces standard DNG raw files (Raw=taken from the sensor, no processing or clever manipulation by the camera, you have to 'finish' the photo yourself in photoshop/lightroom or other image editor on a pc.....I'll be looking for camera apps to work around this problem. However, the quality of both the rear facing camera, and the 5mp front facing one looks great....5mp is more than enough for a good quality print.

SOFTWARE: I can't compare to other android phones...Coming from IOS it seems far more customisable and apps seem to have a few more options (noticed in Good for Mobile and ISS Detector) than the IOS versions...at the cost of some 'standardisation between apps. It seems like there is a little more functionality, but a less 'clean' or 'simple' interface. Horses for Courses.

BATTERY LIFE: The battery is non removable, which is a shame, but seems a little better than the Iphone to date, but this is not a scientific test. Time will tell, but so far it has lasted a full day easily, including a few hours playing an audiobook over bluetooth, and plenty of surfing/emailing/downloading of apps.

The SCREEN: Gorgeous.....Techy reviews say it has more resolution that the Iphone6....I'm not going to argue...I'm not sure higher resolution is needed, but I can't see any pixelation, it is nice and bright...great for viewing photos/watching a film. I didn't really value the 'always on' function in advance of getting the phone, but it is a nice to have feature, displaying the time, date and notifications when the phone is otherwise locked.

SPEAKERS: Fine for a few tunes...I don't think these sound quite as good as the Iphone ones, but there is not a lot in it, unless you like to walk down the street playing your music all the time.....In which case please stop and use the headphones.

FINGERPRINT SECURITY: I've not tested how secure this is by using other peoples fingers....but it is very convenient and seems to work well....it only lets me access the phone using fingers I have set up (so I guess the security works)...and seems to work every time and allows a quick 'login' to secured phones. (I found the Iphone very hit and miss).

SIZE/WEIGHT: I find the pursuit of smaller thinner phones rather annoying - and in the first few days of use I felt like I was liable to drop the phone....however now it has a protective case fitted this isn't a problem. It is almost exactly the same size as an Iphone 6.

Overall impression: I was worried I'd miss the IOS environment, but was keen to have the larger storage space available...aside from having to get use to the Android operating system (and re-purchasing some apps) I am more than happy with the S7. Performance wise, it seems marginally better than the Iphone 6, it is well built, looks good and allows for massive micro SD cards to be fitted. A worthy replacement, with more advantages than disadvantages over the Iphone 6.

As many others before me, upgrading from SGS5. I wouldn't actually if I hadn't drop my phone one month ago and shatter the screen...

So, after almost a week of usage I have a bit mixed feelings... I loved my SGS5 and I was expecting a bit more, to be honest.... the screen doesn't seem bigger at all... and I prefer functionality (UX) over design... and the rubbery non slipping back on SGS5 was way more comfy in my hands than SGS7 Edge is. It is visually gorgeous, but as I said...

what annoyed me was obviously setting the phone again from the scratch to fit my needs (back all the apps and all the settings [killing annoying notifications and uninstalling / disabling some apps I don't need, etc) ... I hoped the transition from my old phone would go smoother (lost some contacts that apparently were not linked to my google account, lost some chats in whatsapp, etc)...

tried to set go launcher EX but was clearly not ready for android6 and edge... needs more polishing... so staying on touchwiz... which actually works pretty well... the only thing I don't like is the weak widget resizing mode... and the dock toolbar, offering only up to 5 icons...

Sometimes it also happens I trigger something by holding the phone in my palm.. and my palm touching the edges of the screen that are now obviously responsive... and there is no bezel there... it happens more times that I care to admit...

also the screen seems to be more polished and smooth... meaning the sliding feels very different... IMO too smooth

NOW, to the good parts... All mentioned above are really minor things... and me being a creature of habit, used my SGS5 for 2 years almost always the same settings... saying that... this phone is gorgeously brilliant!

- (front) CAMERA, absolutely brilliant... what a difference from SGS5.... food shots, pub shots, low light... everything much, much better
- (back) CAMERA ... selfie mode is improved as well... much better in low light.. + I love the fact I can press the heart rate sensor on the back to take the photo
- SCREEN is much brighter and really good outside on a bright day
- SPEED is GOOD, it was OK before for me on SGS5 once optimised, so I don't really, really care about those milliseconds
- BATTERY is OK.... is not great, was expecting better, but it's OK
- THE SIM/microSD card slot... GOOD, now I don't need to remove the battery to insert them... but I need the pin to get the slot out... impractical a bit, but come on, how often do you really do that?
- WATERPROOF... although SGS5 was waterproofed as well, the USB slot cover was SOOOO ANNOYING that I tore it away after couple of weeks.., SGS7 doesn't have it... which is great!

Overall, great phone, highly recommended!

What a great phone. I was upgrading from an iphone4s due to that getting slower with every update. It arrived well packaged and contained the phone , the charger, a usb adapter for transferring data and the headphones. The only things missing were the instructions and a sim tray removal tool. This wasnt a huge issue for me because i already own a samsung tablet, so alot of the interface is familiar, but also the instructions are easily available for free online. If , like me , you are upgrading from an older phone you may need a different sim card ,the S7 takes a nano sim so consider that if you want to use it on day one. The phone itself looks great in black , but that shiny back looks like it might scratch really easily so a case or protector of some kind might be an idea if you prefer your phone to stay shiny. It was over 50% charged on opening , so you could have got started straight away if you wanted. I opted to top up the charge, and my first exposure to fast charging was great. it took about 10-15 mins and that was it. no more needing to leave the phone plugged in for an hour. Setup was very straightforward, guiding you through each step. just a word of warning, if you are new to android and not setup with a google login, some features may not work fully . The screen is great, really sharp and clear and responsive . i was able to transfer my old contacts and other info and photo's over wifi using a great app ' copy my data' (other apps are available and i am not affiliated with the producers) you download it to both phones , follow the instructions and in my case 5 mins later, job done. or you can use the usb adapter to hardwire your old and new phone and transfer it that way. battery usage so far (only on day 3) has been great. i've been easily able to get through a day without having to top it up. I haven't used the headphones yet, but they look ok and i'm sure they'll be fine. i'm loving the addition of the memory card slot , meaning space is no longer at a premium. you can just slot up to 200gb micro card in there and put all your music and photos on. I'm not sure about testing the waterproofing, theres something inherently wrong with dropping your £500 brand new phone in the sink just to test it, so i'll wait until i'm feeling a bit more brave. finally this is just to help those who get the phone and spend ages trying to find what the little symbol in the top right that looks like an N is. Its for near field communication ( it didnt appear in my online instructions) and can be turned off from the settings menu . that'll save you 10 mins of your life on the internet

Usually I don't write reviews, but I felt compelled after the screen on this piece of junk broke after a drop (first time I dropped it) out of my hand onto a wooden floor.

To the haters, yes it was entirely my fault I dropped the phone, however if you are used to the quality of the Note 3 or Note 4 then this is nothing in comparison as a phone should survive a slight drop without extensive damage.

My Note 3 survived 2 1/2 years of punishment (and is still working) including a fall from the roof (!!!) without any significant damage.

This piece of junk feels more like the quality of your typical iPhone, where literally 80% will have a smashed screen within a few months time.

Also I hate the edge screen, which often isn't very responsive (especially at the corner) when typing or when using YouTube or a music track to scroll to the beginning or end will often be difficult when operating it one handed even with large hands such as mine because the corner is very unresponsive.

Already before the screen broke I had decided I would not buy another Edge (I had even thought about selling it, now I wish I had ...) due to the curved screen being somewhat of an annoyance and sometimes the phone would also lag, so my advice use it quite extensively in store before you decide to purchase.

Just a bit of a warning in case other people might be interested in regards to the usability and durability of the phone.

I have attached some pictures to show you the comparison of the Note 3 after 2 1/2 years, slight damage at the corners but still fully functioning screen after probably 150+ drops of varying heights (without cover) and onto all sorts of surfaces compared to the S7 Edge after the very first drop onto a wooden floor, this is actually the first phone where I have managed to crack the screen and I have owned pretty much most Galaxy phones since the 1st generation.

So bring on the Note 6 (with better durability and non Edge screen) and I'm sold :)

For around 10 years I've been a big Apple fan. I've had the latest iPhone as quickly as I could get it, owned a few different I pads, Apple tv and a Mac book.

However, like most people recently I've been frustrated by the slow development and lack of Steve Jobs vision. The iphone has got more and more like an android device.

Last week I moved from an iPhone 6 to the Samsung S7 Edge in gold. My work phone is an iPhone 6s so I'm able to compare the both, side by side every day.

The Samsung S7 edge is hands down the best phone I've ever owned. It's fast, it looks great and the screen is fantastic. I notice a huge difference in the vibrancy and colours on Instagram in particular.

Being able to expand the memory to 200gb blows my old 128gb iPhone out of the water.

The waterproofing is a great feature (I've tested it myself and it works great). As a long time Apple iTunes and Apple music subscriber, I'm also really impressed with Google Play. It's quick, looks better than Apple and the controls are more streamlined.

Overall, when comparing to an iPhone 6/6s these are the better features in my opinion:

- waterproof
- speed
- camera quality
- look and feel
- size of screen
- wireless charging

The cons? Well apart from a few changes to get used to like shortcuts and keyboard, there's not many. Fingerprint reader isn't great 100% of the time, but neither is the iphone. There's no equivalent of apple pay, but that's coming later this year anyway.

Essentially the new layout etc looks and functions like an iPhone anyway, so the move doesn't feel like a big one. It's just like an upgrade.

Samsung have a reputation for building high-quality smart phones and the Galaxy range is its flagship. This phone builds on past successes, but it does one thing more. It looks beautiful too. The metal finish, the gold colour and the high-quality rap-round screen ooze quality and make this a most desirable product.

In terms of functionality, it is all there. The phone is fast (apparently the British version is slightly less powerful than other models, but I dare say the difference is marginal). The screen is superb and the rap-around-the-edge feature is excellent, with special functions that can be picked up from the edge.

The camera is nominally less pixels than its predecessor but produces better pictures as a result of its improved lens and aperture. The logic is that you can have as many pixels as you like: if the quality of the picture hitting them is diminished by a lesser lens, you simply record a poorer picture on more pixels.

This phone is waterproof, and without the fiddly covers for the sockets. It's not something we're inclined to test (not on purpose anyway!) but the capability is there. Battery life is good: bigger phone = bigger battery = longer life in normal usage. It charges very quickly and comes with a fast charger in the box.

The phone is very slim: we experimented with a protective case but it lost the phone's graceful appearance.

All in all, this is high functionality married to stunning good looks. Recommended.

I had one of these on Pre-order, thus got it 3 days early, here are my findings.

GOOD
Gorgeous design
Lovely clear screen/display
Much improved battery life
Finger print sensor works really well
Rear Camera easily the best I have used on a smartphone capturing amazing crisp (even in low light) images with great features and more to download if you want; the "Rear Camera Selfie" one being EXCELLENT.
Return of expandable storage and water-proofing
Lightening fast performance
Gear VR compatibility (Free in this case as I pre-ordered mine)

BAD
Front Camera VERY disappointing capturing more detail in the background than the selfie subject which is way too softly focussed, especially indoors, and has no proper front flash
Lack of IR Blaster
Lack of Thermometer, the one on the S4 was EXCELLENT
Compass sensor utterly HOPELESS, it has no idea where North is from one minute to the next.
Finger print sensor does not work if your fingers are wet

CONCLUSION
Samsungs best Smartphone should have been PERFECT but a way below-par front camera (despite being ok in lower light conditions) and lack of features seen on previous Samsung offerings mean I CANNOT give it 5 stars, such a shame, but it is still very good indeed (easily the best smartphone at the time of release) and worthy of purchase non-the-less. Unsurprisingly, it trounces anything Apple can offer.

I've been using iOS for about 5 years now apart from 2013 because I was on Android then and went back to iPhone due to the Nexus 5 having a poor camera & my cousin starting to FaceTime me. anyway went back to Android and i'm glad I did this phone is amazing the screen is a great size for 5.5" the iPhone 6 Plus felt larger compared to this and the display on this screen is really sharpe well it is 1440p after all. The Camera has been great super quick at focusing and my followers on Instagram has said that my pictures look a lot better than from my iPhone so thats saying something. Can't say about low light haven't got round trying it out yet. Love what Samsung has done with Touchwiz being alot skinned down than what it was before although I am using the Google Now Luncher & a icon changer for my home screen because I do prefer stock Android. Battery has been great love that I can now charge my phone without plugging it in being that it supports wireless charging. only probelm I have is the fingerprint reader only works when it wants too and I do wish the Always on display has notifications showing but I do like the idea for it. but all in all a great smartphone.

I upgraded to this phone last week from the s6. The performance on this phone is outstanding! Battery life is excellent. I'd say I get a good 40% more battery life on this than I did on the S6. (the S6 that is, not the S6 Edge) Opening apps and going into another is as quick as a flash. Ideal when you're multitasking. The music player is great too when you're out on the go and want to listen to your favourite tunes. Picture quality on the camera is superb too. The colours and images are crystal clear. There was some speculation about the S7 as it only has a 12 mega pixel camera where the S6 had 16 but unless you fully zoom in, you probably won't notice much difference. As far as actual picture quality and clarity is concerned I would say the S7 edges it - particularly on shots taken in low light conditions. Last but not least it comes with microSD again. Something the S6 lacked. If there were any drawbacks to mention, it would probably be that the battery is sealed in like with many others now. Having said that you can pick up a good enough power bank on Amazon within £25 if you're away from a powerpoint. As far as rating is concerned, I would give this one a clean 5 star!

After having various Android phones this is the first Samsung Android phone I've bought. The hardware seems to be great but the software feels rushed.
The phone comes with _three_ app stores pre-installed (play, samsung and oculus). Not interested. On top of this there is a load of bloat from microsoft. Really not interested!
I also seem to have clashing apps for browser, fitness and email. The standard keyboard is awkward, it doesn't have swipe and so is slow. The always-on display drains the battery quickly and is annoying when going to bed - does this really surprise anyone?

I'm not a fan of a pure Google phone or an iPhone but at least the 'experience' is consistent on those devices.

My phone also came with a lump of hard plastic called the Gear VR. It's very blurry and again the oculus store is rushed - this is a real shame as I was wanting to be amazed with a solid introduction to the platform. There is no integration with obvious services like youtube so it looks like G and S are just having a squabble between themselves that I really don't care about.

Hi
Didnt really wana to give a bad review as i know its not nice feelings when u get negative feedback as i am a seller myself elsewhere.
So ordered anniversary present for my wife and thought of treating myself so ended up ordering 2 fones..
Guess what iv recieved a mens trimmer.
So came home from work was excited to play with my new fones and shocked to see what i recived and wife been thinking that i might have order trimmer for myslef and fones may be coming following day.. So in short been struggling to get the refund after all that joke by Amazon. They may be very good but here simply they have lost the plot and i might ended up with nothing for 1250 pounds.
So please think carefully before you buy and just go to samsung shop or any other shop to buy the item which is good idea thats what iv realized.

Best phone on the market?
No. I have one of these as my work phone, and I have to say I'm disappointed. It's slow, poor at getting a decent signal, the internet browser is clunky, the os doesn't seem to have changed much or improved in the last 5-6 years..
The only good thing is battery life, but that's probably because it normally stays in my pocket. If I need to use a smartphone for anything other than business calls I stick with my Lumia 950.
The 950 is more up to date (including the usb c port) faster, more fluid, better signal, faster and easier internet, works well with my Windows 10 pc, and backs up to the cloud with no input by me other than the original setting up.
Imho android phones are well behind Windows offerings, if only people were willing to try them they would be won over.

Fantastic phone. Upgrading from the S5 which was a great phone too. Everything about this new phone is silky smooth. All apps responsive. Scrolling and swiping a breeze. The camera is something else - no lag when taking a photo and the low light capability jaw dropingly fantastic.
I was tempted by the S7 Edge, but this phone keeps everything compact and by the time you add a protective case I didn't want anything too bulky in my pocket.
I was pleased that Samsung brought back the SD memory capability and the waterproofness from the S5.
Got the VR bundle via another supplier (not Amazon ) thrown in and that's a great novelty that works well and I'm sure will take off big time with more software.
All in all a classy phone that does everything really well.
A joy to use, go get one!

Ужасно

All it's different functions are very good except one: making calls.

It doesn't like new numbers, it tries three times and then says that the caller is busy. When you call again you get straight through.
The reception is also very weak. I have a £120 ZTE and it doesn't have any problem with reception.

And now I'm sending it back because I was waiting for some important texts to come but they never did. (Placed the sim card in my ZTE and, hey presto, I'm back in business.)

Really sorry to see it go because I also have to return the free GEAR VR. (VR will be the future of watching live football at home. It;s amazing).
And the camera is really impressive in low light. Beautiful colours and instant focussing.

Although I am writing a review on a sim free phone I actually was bought one by my wife which was supposedly locked to the O2 network which would have been annoying as I have a Virgin contract. However I read on a Canadian website that this particular phone will lock to the first sim card inserted. I tried this will my contract sim and hey presto it works !

I can add nothing more to the other positive reviews, this phone is reviewed by techradar as the best phone on the market at this time and they are right. I am absolutely delighted with it.

My sister bought this for her self this is her review!

Hi, as a huge android fanatic (only one in my household), this S7 edge is without question, the best phone yet.
With my S7 edge, I encountered few issues. The 2 that plagued it were the wifi (now fixed) and the first day, battery drain. But now, a couple of days later, I'm getting a full day plus out of my battery and that's with moderate to heavy use. I wanted dropbox and drive to sync. All sync perfectly. Good luck with your S7 edge. You didn't make a mistake.

I bought this phone in the past week. Phone itself is great its a Samsung S7 and it will work in the uk but it is not a UK phone

The seller loses points for the following

- The phone arrived in a box with huge bubble wrap which did not protect the phone at all.

- The phone is originally from Italy so there is no english instructions. Despite the description being UK sim free.

- The phone does not come with a UK plug. I will now have to go buy a UK charger, costing more ontop of an already expensive phone.
