So far so good, when I was putting them up the first day the extension cord fell and it pulled these off the top of the enclosure and both lights turned off. I freaked out- cause I was thinking COOL I broke these and the bulbs within the first 10 minutes of them being on. BUT I didn't …they must have a shut off feature that if they fall they turn off???Idk but that's awesome. Especially for someone who has reptiles, whos in constant paranoia of there house burning down. The only thing I wish is that the wattage on these could go a little higher then 100.

Accidentally ordered 4 lights instead of two as I missed that it was a 2-pack. Then I returned all because of damage. Lol so I had a total of eight and only 4 were undamaged. I boxed up the 4 damaged ones (from different packages)and kept the rest as the kids do drop the lights when they open the reptile cages. The cat knocked one off the bird cage too and it's a little dented now too. So....These are fine as long as you understand they dent quite easily and don't mind. They are lightweight and work fine with dents. Maybe wouldn't have bothered returning them had I known we'd dent them so easily? But I guess they are our dents and not from the maker. Lol IDK, they weren't too expensive, they're small and not too heavy so....they work. They do take a smaller bulb so make sure you get right size. Regular end but I don't think a regular vulb would fit properly. Ibought 3 inch long bulbs.

These heat lamps look nice. I use them with ceramic bulbs for my snake, and they work / heat up quickly and well.
While I was at work my cat somehow got up onto the vivarium and smacked one off. It was some distance to the hardwood floor, but it held up (it was only slightly dented on its edge) and it protected the bulb so it wasn't broken.

I am very happy with these! They look great on my turtle’s tank. They are small, but fit all the weird shaped basking and heat light bulbs that I have tried in them. They also don’t get really hot like some of the other domes I have used, which is perfect for when my 2yr old triplets crawl up on the counter to peek in the tank.

This product works well however we received it dented, we just bent it back as we did not have time to ship them back. The package its self was not damaged so it came out of the factory like this. Overall if it was not damaged like it was from the factory I would have given 5 stars. I use these for day and night bulbs for my ball python, I love that it has a heat indicator on the sides to let you know they are hot Do not touch!!

I purchased two sets of the Repti Zoo 5.5 inch deep dome lamps from Amazon last week. I received them yesterday. To my surprise when I opened up the two boxes, 3 of the 4 lamps where severally damaged! The boxes had no damage to them. They looked as if they came out of the garbage. They had big dings and dents all over them. I am not impressed with there product! Very disappointed!!!

I bought these bulbs back in July. The first one burns out on me in August, and I thought it was just a bad bulb. The second one just burnt out on me at the end of September. Neither of the two bulbs lasted more I bought these bulbs back in July. The first one burns out on me in August, and I thought it was just a bad bulb. It works just fine but mine where bent up and has to spend 20 mins with one unbending it enough to get my bulb in it.

Just got these. I put a bulb in each to test them and they worked. Hoping this to be the case moving forward. Look nice in flat black w/black tops. What I was not happy with was the packaging. It's 2-up in a single box. For setting on a retail shelf only, probably fine. For shipping not so good. Mine arrived with a sizable dent in one and a few scratches on the other. If I return, good chance of getting the same again. Mfg folks, if you're reading this please consider a protective way to pack these for shipping.

these lamps focus the light & heat where you point them. im using a 26w uvb in one and it works well. the housing is warm, so you should definitely pay attention to the power ratings

Not sure if the light bulb or the lamp. One for snake is fine the one on the turtle tank became very hot. Black and smoking. :(

The setup is nice, but one of the tightening screws was broken on arrival, so needed some messing with to make work. It's all a little flimsy, but ok for the price.

They work great but like any other such lamp it gets quite hot on the outside. Have been using for about 2 weeks now. Throws the right amount of heat with the right wattage bulb.

Great product great price and my bearded is a happy camper and I don’t have to worry about ruining the cage top. Hopefully they last longer than the other name brand fixtures we have had.
