Also the Mic sucks in terms of audio quality relative to the price. You are paying for the emotes and unless you get a ton of engagement on a stream (the odds of that are close to zero), this product is overpriced junk.
Which is required to take advantage of all the twitch interactivity that this stupid thing was boasting. Razer doesn't know whats wrong with the software making their customer support team absolutely clueless and unhelpful.
Aside from the terrible software required to use the device to its fullest potential, the mic was DOA and wouldn't even work other than the lighting system.
The program is cumbersome to learn and sometimes you have replug the microphone to reactivate the LED lights. Would not recommend.
After I figured out that I also needed the streamer companion app I downloaded it and attempted to run it. Unfortunately, because I am using Razer's legacy version of Synapse the SDKs to power the lights and what not are not compatible. I would need to use both the legacy version of Synapse (for my older Razer Keyboards) and the newer version of Synapse for this microphone. I don't think it's possible to run both versions at the same time... hence why my LED emote microphone is now just a microphone.
The build quality of this microphone is well made out of sturdy metal. It feels professional, has some weight to it, and is overall a high quality product. Razer provides a small table stand for the microphone and two sized necks--one bendy and taller, one short and stiff. The microphone itself is not compatible with my previous boom mount and needs some kind of extension to screw into it nicely. I'll have to do more research to find the piece needed to connect the two--if any are available.
Overall, the quality of the condensing microphone is on par with other Razer products. It's offers a decent amount of noise cancellation and reduction of static noise. It's by no means perfect though. It manages to pick up the sound of my air conditioning in the background when I'm talking.
The big feature on this microphone is that it has an 8 x 8 LED panel for customizing lighting effects. You will need to download the Razer Synapse software to get going with that. It is not too challenging to use, but if you want to configure custom animations and icons for various events while you are streaming (like tips and cheers) then you will need the streaming companion app, which is a separate download. I find the streaming companion app to be a little more challenging to get working correctly. It is a little bit of a pain to have to download separate software to enable this feature. Also, I find that often the Synapse software does not turn the LEDs on after a reboot. Unplugging the microphone and plugging it back in will usually resolve this issue.
You don't need to bend your head towards this mic as it has a good range. If you really want the fancy streaming features then you can't go wrong with this. Once you get used to operating it and messing with the display it is much easier, but I find this is a pricey option for a mic that does not include a boom arm.
Setup is easy, you just plug it in and select it as your audio input device. Then you use the Razer streamer companion app, link your Twitch account, and set up your alerts and messages. It takes a little bit of time depending how elaborate you want to get with tips, follows, subs, etc. You can also create your own graphics and import GIFs so if you have someone doing your artwork for you, it's easy to bring it in to the program. This kind of thing is best for smaller streamers because it's different than the usual image popping up over the stream. There are a lot of moving emotes and there's a lot of flexibility for what you can do. One thing I really liked is how you can incorporate Hue lights into the alerts (using Razer Synapse) , so you could have some colored lights flashing in the background to further add to the effect. Really nice for subs and another way to interact with your stream.
For non streamers, you can still have fun playing with the emotes and images and of course you can use it without that function enabled if you want, but it may be better to just get the Seiren X in that case. I'd say this is best for smaller streamers or people just starting out as larger streamers will have the microphone going off all the time unless they set it to only react something like large donations. Overall quality of the mic is pretty good, it has a good feel to it and sound quality is fine. The setup is easy and the mic is just plain black except for the display so it's a very stealth looking microphone that doesn't cover your face too much.
This is kind of an interesting idea but the more I've been using it, the more I like it. You can even do contests with your viewers to submit designs and having them see their own images on stream will just further engage your viewers and help to build your community. There is so much competition these days with streaming and little things like this help take your stream to the next level, but of course this is just one part of a successful stream and may not help at all. I'd get this as a microphone first and a novelty second, but I really like the creativity that Razer has shown with this device. love it or hate it, it's definitely unique. I had no trouble installing and using it and I'm not an expert at this stuff.
Known for their versatility with creating gaming keyboards, mouse and so much more, the company has now created the world’s first interactive microphone.
Razer has three types of mic’s, the Seiren Elite, the Seiren Emote and the Seiren X.
I’m reviewing the Razer Seiren Emote which displays over a 100 emoticons on the microphone through an 8-bit LED display which you can create custom designs via software.
When used with the Streamer Companion software, the microphone can react and synchronize with audience emoticons, alerts and shoutouts.
So, for those on Twitch, Discord or those who vlog can have a microphone that does so much more!
The mic also has background noise reduction (it utilizes a hypercardiod pickup condenser mic) and built in shock mount which dampens vibration. And it has a flexible height and angle adjustment gooseneck for dynamic mic positioning.
For the most part, the Streamer Companion App is easy to setup with emotes. But for the hardcore creative types, creating an emote may be to one’s liking.
But is the mic worth it? If it serves your needs and you want that emote or a solid mic, then definitely. I’ve used it over my headphone mic when I stream my online gaming sessions. I have my own mic which I have used for podcasts but I wanted to see how I felt about the emote and for my needs, I don’t think I would use the effects all that much, but I know others can and will love those features.
It’s a solid mic, but a little pricey at over $175 but you are paying for Razer quality!
Overall, a solid interactive microphone but definitely worth it if you interact with your viewers and helps to have the emote LED’s to add a little zing to your presentation.
The mic quality is definitely decent, equivalent to a good $60 mic, but toss on the Razer tax and its $80, then the RGB tax and its $180. The main problem is with the idea as a whole. Recording a person and a screen at the same time always bring difficulties, often with the screen being too bright and blending together or washing out the rest of the scene. Unless you dim everything down on the mic (with its poor customization, having to map each pixel one at a time), it'll become a glowing blob. I don't see why you would want to use this rather than an on-screen emote system with a much higher resolution and with no negative impacts on the rest of what's in-frame.
It does feel like a proper finished product, however. In many games, it'll have preset animations that it does at different stages. In Apex Legends, as an example, it'll pulse red as you're loading, and go through dozens of transitions/animations as you're running around, using your abilities, getting shot, shooting, etc.
The software was a pain to get working, but once I got it working, the twitch implementation worked essentially flawlessly. You can set custom emotes to chat messages, subs, follows, cheer, raids, etc, and they all work with almost no delay. But in the end, it's an expensive novelty. Razer is selling a $60 mic and a $10 LED matrix together for $180. I don't think it's worth it, but if you've got money to burn and want to play around with a new toy for streaming, it'll work.
I want to first state that I am not a streamer, and I mainly ordered this Mic to use for Voice-Overs in some video editing that I do. Also, I am a huge Razer fan and have been for close to 15yrs. I did however start up a streaming account to at least be able to test the fun 8-bit Emoticon LED Display. With not knowing all the streaming tricks I was able to somewhat figure out how the LED Display works and look forward to playing with that more but I really wanted to see how it would do in video Voice-Over work, and I am very happy to say that it works pretty great and much better than the cheapo mic I have been using. It really is pretty much Plug and Play and has that Razer quality you would expect. Now with that said, I do think that it is a bit overkill for my main use, as I probably won't use it to its full capacity but it sure will be fun to have those options when I do. Overall I think this is a great mic (plus it looks dope) for what it is, but the full retail price is a little steep if all you need is a basic Mic for Voice-Overs. Then again it’s a Razer product and you just can’t go wrong with a brand that has been in the gaming industry for so many years. I will update my review if there are any issues that come up, but I feel pretty confident that the Razer Seiren will last a good long time.
Starting off, razer consistently designs great packaging for their products. You know it going to arrive safe and it's going to look nice when you flip that lid.
They also consistently aim for style that go hand in hand parallel with substance. As with their other products, it lands solidly. Everything in the box looks and feels to be of high quality.
Most importantly, the actual product performance quality is on point. Onto the mic itself. Easy to setup. Fun to look at and use. Recorded sounds are nice and clean. There's really not more that I'd ask for. I'm not sure if it'll catch on or just a very niche product, but I'd say its definitely a novel idea that delivers.
First, the design. The build materials and build quality are very impressive. It feels substantial in hand and seems very durable. Height and angle adjustments are easy, the mount is stable, and the LED display is colorful and fun.
Second, I love the customization of the LED through the Razer Synapse and Razer Central apps. Whenever the mic is connected, I have some colorful background graphics to always show, and I like how the graphics animate whenever it detects voice input. It's really neat and nifty.
Third, I found the performance of the microphone to be very good. All the nuances of my voice are picked up very well in a clean fashion. Also, background noise filtering is handled very accurately and excellently.
Overall, I'm highly satisfied with it. Razer makes some cool gear. 👍
-This feels really sturdy. This is not some flimsy plastic mic.
-The mount is nice. It's your standard screw mount, but it feels/operates well.
-The mic comes with a solid barrel extension and longer flexible mic extension.
-The mic can be mounted any number of ways. That's good!
-The emojis will rotate to match the orientation of the mic.
-There's a headphone-out on the mic itself.
-You do have to pay a bit of extra money for the emoji bit, and that may be a bit overkill.
At the end of the day, this is a cute concept. It's compact and pretty. But at the end of the day, it may be that the concept is what wins over execution and practicality.
Check out my video/audio review that I’ve included to hear how the Razer Seiren Emote sounds and how it sounds versus a Blue Yeti X
There is also an interchangeable gooseneck that allows me to change the height of this for if myself or Burly (my guy) is using this.
The mic is actually pretty excellent on this.
Overall, not a bad buy and easy set up.
It came well packaged and no damage was done to it and all the parts were in the box.
At first it wasn’t working well until he went in and modified the settings.
He loves using this more than his headphones.
Comes with two different stands for different height levels.
Very professional packaging.
Would make a great gift!
Overall would recommend.

Razer opus - пропал звук( очень хорошие наушники
Razer tws mercury -
