Bottom Line Up Front: They were amazing for ten months, but now the right speaker won't produce mids or highs.Pros:1) Decent price ($60 in Dec of 2011)2) Comfortable for my tiny ear canals3) Truly Noise Isolating4) Sounds like Surround Sound to me when paired with a proper mixer/encoder/decoder5) The BASS!6) Sweet zippered pouch, which I'll continue to use even after discarding the ear buds after their unfortunate death7) All the extra adapters for various gaming systems (never used them, but handy for anyone who might have needed them I'm sure)8) In-Line Microphone works fine, but I didn't use it muchCons:1) The right speaker just died on me in the middle of a deployment and they don't sell them at the PX...2) No flat cables (I had a pair of Astro A-Stars which had flat cables, they were nice; but the right speaker also died on those!)I loved them so much! Just like my Astros! WHY RIGHT EAR BUD?! WHY?!... I always take good care of my stuff, so I'm not sure what happened. I don't blare the volume through the speakers, so I don't think I blew them out. I tried connecting them to three other devices and they all produced the same outcome. The right bud straight up died, and I really hardly used them; compared to, like, a 15 year old girl obsessed with Kelly Clarkson or something! I am sad. Waiting on Razer to get back to me through their support. Maybe mine were a dud pair on a timer? You decide.

I bought this headset because i was getting sick of my previous in-ear headset's separate clip on mic, which became tangled up with the headphone cord and I would have to unclip it every time i needed to get up.So the prospect of an in-line mic drew me to this headset greatly. Though I expected the inline mic to pick up a lot of extra noise and be very loud if the cable brushed against your shirt. But i was very pleased to find out that the opposite is true actually. Even if I flick the cable with my fingernail or flick the mic itself its not very loud, yet it picks up my voice fine.I primarily use this headset for ventrillo/voice chats. The sound quality is great for that, the voices come in very clear and crisp, and im told the mic works well and picks up my voice without a whole lot of background noise. I can actually use voice activation with this headset. My previous one was a bit too sensitive and the mic would pick up high pitched noises from very far away with ease. This mic does not seem to suffer from that problem. I could reliably use it with voice activation without worrying about it.The in ear design works wonders for long gaming sessions. Ive had 5-6 different over the ear noise canceling of various different quality, but they all made my ears hurt and sweat if I wore them for more than an hour or two. The design also allows me to pull 1 earbud out while leaving the other in, which is great for keeping track of the vent conversation as well as any real life conversations/tv/music etc.Im listening to music as I write this review, and they actually surprised me here too. I expected worse but they actually sound pretty good. Not quite as much bass/full/detail as I have heard from in-ear headsets but i don't expect that out of this set. Especially for only $48, when part of that cost is going towards the in line mic, and adapters. I think some of the people that bash on its sound quality expect too much from a relatively in-expensive in-ear headset. Also everyone's ears are shaped differently, and you need a good solid fit in your ear to get the best sound. Some people may not be able to get them in all the way or don't like the feeling of them creating the noise canceling seal. But that is their fault, not the headphones.One thing I dont like about them however is that both the cables for left and right ears are the same length. I personally like it when one is longer than the other to loop around the back of your neck, so its not dangling under your chin. Though even if i turn my head side to side i cant get the cable to touch my face or neck, so I really dont even notice it.The headset comes with several different sizes of earpeices. I suggest you try them all while listening to music and keep the ones that made the music sound the best. In-ear headphones rely alot on a good fit to provide you with the best sound quality.It comes with 3 adapters, one for your PC that splits the cable into 2 (for speakers and mic), one for Sony PSP, and one for Nintendo DS.It also comes with a nice carrying neoprene pouch, with individually labeled sections for each of the adapters it comes with.So overall I am very satisfied with these headphones. To those who are not satisfied with the sound quality, i suggest they buy MUSIC HEADPHONES not gaming/voice over IP headphones.

i have them already for a month or so. when i first plugged them into HTC phone to test the sound, i was kinda disappointed: depending on the brand, all the comments, given 5 stars and etc. i was expecting something like "boom"!than i tested them on my laptop, configured equalizer setting and it is kinda normal!overall, comparing price with the quality = 3 stars.

The sound quality is good, and they have a great fit... the carrying case is a nice touch, and the provided multiple ear pieces are fantastic for different ear types. Be careful when ordering them because Amazon lists both Razor Moray AND Razor Moray PLUS reviews under this heading. The Razor Moray does NOT have a microphone, and the PLUS does. Also keep an eye out for Vendors that sell the item under the "New" heading at a heavily discounted price and ship without original packaging. Make sure to purchase from Amazon, or a highly rated 3rd party seller.

It was missing pieces that photos from the manufacturer showed clearly. It was not packaged in plastic even though it was listed as, "New". One of the gel stickers that is supposed to connect to the left ear bud was missing.In any case these are the best quality sound ear buds I have ever had.Sooo good they even block out the voices in my head. ;)

I have a huge problem with headphones because they are too big. Even the small ones are too big. These are PERFECT. I love them. I've had them three and a half years. They've been everywhere with me, and they still work great. Buying a second pair now to carry with me all the time. HIGHLY recommend. They aren't entirely noise-cancelling, but they are noise-isolating. I prefer that. Noises around me don't bother me, but I can still kind of hear around me. So I'm aware but not distracted. Love, love them.

I really really do like this product; however, I must inform you that it has no pause function on the actual headphone cable. This would be a 5 star product, but the fact that I bought it so I could use it with my computer at night and my phone during the day, makes the lack of the pause function drop it by a star. On top of that it is pretty pricey. I do still recommend this simply because of how great the sound quality is.

This isn't my first Razer product purchase, so I sort of know what I'm getting into - I already own a Razer Naga and a Razer Lycosa, so these are a nice addition to my little Cult of Razer.The Moray are a pretty decent set of earbuds. The length of the cord is long enough that for use with a laptop or an MP3 player you'll have plenty of length, but they're too short for most desktop configurations.The cord quality is also pretty decent as well - soft rubberized finish, so they detangle without much hassle, and they're super flexible, so you don't have to worry about motion pulling the cord from your ears - I used these while on the elliptical and treadmill and they didn't come loose once.The sound quality is basically what you'd expect for a set of earbuds at this price point. It's not phenomenal, but the range is good, and you are getting much in the way of muddy tones - everything is quite clear for both music and television. Bass is good and deep, but doesn't overbear the treble on default EQ settings. So far I've tested them on TV, prog-rock, electronic, and pop/dance music, and no complaints.The pack came with a carry case, airplane adapter (dual prong adapter used on some older planes), and 3 sets of pads for the earbuds. Also, the Razer stickers to plaster on whatever piece of equipment you so choose.Recommend.

Great headset for doing just about anything on a computer: Skype calls and watching movies and the like. Great, convenient built-in microphone. I just don't like to use it to listen to music because it doesn't sound heavy enough. This will always be my first choice for a headset. I'm on my third pair now- the first I wore out until one earphone stopped working and the second fell victim to my cat overnight. I'm sure if I'm extra careful, these will last a long time.

Excellent earbuds, I accidently ordered these instead of the the "communicator" ones. I was going to send them back and trade them for the other pair but after trying them on I was really impressed with the comfort level so I kept them and ordered the ones with the mic as well. I've had these for over a year now and they have held up great, they have been yanked on quite a few times and are still running great. I just bought a pair of "sport" earbuds from another manufacturer but they were terribly uncomfortable so I am just going to wear these. I am able to fit both pairs of buds and a splitter in the case that they came in so if need be two people can listen to music or watch a movie. I am very pleased with these and strongly recommend them if you are looking for a nice very comfortable set or earbuds.

This is my first purchase of earbuds and they're a big improvement over the ones that came with my iPod Classic 80gb. I'm also using them with my laptop (video training available via my company) and will use them with my Nintendo DSi. The noise cancellation is excellent. They're comfortable. The sound quality is very good. For those who've complained on here about the L and R being hard to see: just remember that the mic is on the R line. I have yet to use the mic so can't comment on that. I tried the Klipsch S4i, but these have better noise cancellation and the price is better (especially since the inline controls on the Klipsch don't work with my iPod). Giving 4 stars as I really wish I could find something with inline controls that work with my iPod.

This is my second pair of these. The first pair lasted from when they came out to about a few weeks ago. I used the heck out of them. Every day for about 8 hours a day. I use these at work because of a loud work environment. I put these in and I hear nothing. I even ware them with the iPod off just lessen the noise. They are very quite. And when they are on its like being locked in a Sound resonance chamber with 100 Speakers on max. The bass is incredible and highs are crisp. From time to time a little mid range gets distorted. So if you listen to a lot of metal you may find them a but lacking. But for rock, hip hop, and electronic music these work great.The package comes with 3 sets of plugs for any size ear, stylish case and logos, plus free stickers. I use the case to hold a small iPod stand, an Energizer to go batt pack, some adaptors for power and headphone splitters, and all in that little case, it's like the Swiss army knife of cases. I hope to get 2 or more years out of use of these head phones also but I am really destructive with them, such as dropping the iPod while plugged in, wrapping and twirling with the cord and fidgeting with the cord all day. I say they are more than worth the price I paid. And I hope that when this pair gives out in a year or 2, that I can pick up another pair.

I've had these headphones for atleast a year now. They have alright sound quality, but are kind of bass heavy for music. The thing I really love about these is that they are pretty much indestructible. I've had these go through the wash half a dozen times and they still working fine. The pouch they come in is nice and the rubber tips come in 3 sizes. They are pretty difficult to change, but once you have them on they're fine. I feel like $30 is a bit steep for these when talking about sound quality.

PROS: Nice Case, great build Quality, neat set of adapters for hand held games, good voice quality, cheap, durable.CONS: Music sounds pretty thin.Do not buy these expecting great, loud sound. They simply do not have enough driver chutzpa.They are however very sturdy and super portable.Great for the mobile gamer or a person like me who hates over ear head sets that fall apart where the speaker hits the head surround.Music sounds clear but is lacking fullness.

I bought these for one reason: to use as headphones with music from my phone while also being able to answer phone calls. Surprisingly, the market is pretty bare and this is the only product from a reputable company that makes anything like it under $80.Sound quality - it doesn't perform as well as I had hoped for the price. Just average.Cord length - it's about 6 to 12 inches too short for plugging into my phone and then putting the phone into either my side pocket or pants pocket. The only option is breast pocket, which I don't always have.Ear comfort - the included rubber stoppers come in three sizes, but none of them fit my left ear (medium is too small, large is too big). I had never purchased round, circular rubber earbuds, so I didn't know that my earholes are two different sizes. So the biggest drawback for me is that one earbud keeps falling out while I'm walking. This problem may have been alleviated if the cord was designed for behind the neck use, but I think it's more due to the shape of the rubber stopper.Connection - the 3.5mm plug fits very snugly into whatever device it is in. This is a big advantage because most 3.5 plugs are so loose that they pop out with the smallest nudge. This one does not.Despite all the drawbacks, it's still a 4-star product because when I'm using it and it manages to stay in place (usually when I'm not moving so much), it works fine. And even if corded cell phone mics become obsolete with bluetooth gadgets, at least they're also a good pair of earbuds.

This is my first review about a product - But I am going to be fair.Let's get down to the most important feature about a pair of earphones: The Sounda) The sound is excellent. Something that you expect from a company like Razer. Excellent. Excellent balance & good quality. Both the ear buds survived daily usage & didn't go deaf on one side. I am not a super-extreme-audiophile. Just a guy who listens to music on my way to work/and on my way back - and when I am watching movies. So I can't distinguish/justify the quality between the Sennheiser CX500 or Razer Moray or the J3 JBuds. They all have the same quality as far as I am concerned. Most of my MP3s are 256 Kbps & as far as sound isolation/quality of sound is concerned - I found all 3 to be the same. For sound quality - I give these pairs a solid 5/5However I was extremely disappointed by the build quality of the Razer Moray - for which I give it a 2/5.a) The earphones wire split through the webbing in the first month of purchase. I take good care of my electronics - but this pair of earphone just broke through the webbing & continued to split all the way to the plug! I had to use duct tape to stanch the split across the entire earphones. Needless to say - sparkling white earphones with duct-tape half way into the wire looked ugly.b) Another BIG BIG BIG complain that I have from these pair of earphones - They have a tendency to coil/entangle. This is something that would annoy the crap out of me. I use the devil's knot to avoid entanglement - when I stuff them in my pockets. But after a couple of hours - they would be folded into a knot that would take good 3-5 minutes to un-entangle. Completely ruins the mood if you want to listen to a song. And I feel that this is why I wouldn't recommend this product to a lot of my peers.Final word:I'd advice you to probably try another pair if you are concerned about build quality. If you don't care about the constant frustration of having to unwrap earphones when you get it out of the pocket -- Use this pair!Thanks for readingAndy

I like Razer products very much and I have the Razer Electra (which are an amazing pair of headphones) but I needed just a pair of earbuds just to listen to while walking around and these do the job very well. The sounds are really great but then again I'm not too picky with how it sounds but I can tell you these are not bad earphones by any means. Get them!!

Razer did a great job with these earphones. They have really good bass. And I mean REALLY good. I was blown away by the deep richness of sound they produced. I have yet to find another product better than the Morays. Got the black ones, they came in a nice carry bag, which has space for other stuff. The replaceable tips were great, as I needed the larger ones, so there is flexibility in that respect.Overall, great product. And it is at a great price. Great value

I'll keep this short, though a lot of people might prefer long reviews. I'm 25, I'm not a huge audiophile or anything, but I do tend to like good quality sound. That's where these headphones kinda disappointed me. I have a psp, a blackberry, and an android phone, and for the most part, the sound quality is passable for gaming. To compare, I have a cheap pair of $20 LG ear buds with an inline mic, I have the Turtle Beach X41 headphone set, the Skullcandy INK'd ear buds, as well as Skullcandy's Gaming GI, Hesh, and Lowrider headphones. All of these headphones have better sound quality than the Razer Morays. It's not that the sound is distorted or filled with static or anything. It just sounds a little muffled sometimes, as if I cranked the bass and reduced the treble to zilch. With PSP gaming, it was completely fine, and while I could certainly tell that the sound was a bit too wannabe-bass, I didn't really get in the way. As long as you're not being picky, these should be fine for that purpose. If you're wanting to listen to music a lot, look for a different pair of headphones. You'll be a bit disappointed in the sound quality.If you're intending on using these for Skype or some other form of VOIP, go for it. Voices come through just fine, and the mic works surprisingly well. There is no volume knob on these headphones, so keep in mind, you'll want to be using your device's volume controls. Like I said, I have a couple phones as well as a couple computers, and while I wouldn't use these as my primary music listening headphones, the included adapters make it possible to use on just about any platform, which counts for a lot. To be able to be playing a game on my PSP, get a call on my blackberry and use the same headset to talk on is very convenient, especially when I don't want my hands tied. The Morays include an adapter for the PSP so you can use the PSP for skype (havent tried that myself) as well as an adapter for the DS, and a splitter that will allow you to use these headphones on a computer's headphone and microphone ports.All in all, I will continue to use these for voice communication and PSP gaming, but when the focus is going to be sound quality, I'll use another pair. Like I said...it's passable, but if you're trying to enjoy the sounds you love, you don't want those sounds muffled. Just my two cents.

The headphones do a great job of isolating sound, and they sound great.However, the reason I gave them three stars is because the headphone cables are covered with a rubber that has the texture of a pencil eraser. As a result, they stick to EVERYTHING - clothes, metal, skin, even themselves. They continually become almost hopelessly entangled, and are more annoying to untangle than your average headphones because of their tendency to stick.Also, the R and L markers are tiny and nearly invisible.

I have the previous generation of this exact product which is about five years old. The old pair has crystal clear sound and awesome base. The new set for this review is slightly disappointing. The sound is more tinny and the base is just not there. The funny thing is that the old pair cost about the same as the new pair. Quality of design has definitely changed. The old pair has no side air vents which allows no sound to escape and all the sound is pushed into the ears. The new pair has air vents which allow the escape of the sound. The air vents are right along the silver ring on the ear bud, but are very hard to see in the picture, if you look at one on amazon. The old generation does not have this. Just a theory. Anyway, there is definitely a disappointing change between the two.

Today day I got these earphones in the mail, and I was so excited to plug these in and give em a go, especially after reading all the great reviews. However, once I plugged it in to my phone, there was a constant hissing noise and the microphone BARELY, I mean barely picks up any noise. I had to shout for it to even pick up the noise. I then tried using these earphones on my laptop, desktop computer, only to encounter the same problem. I also tried all possible troubleshooting. Don't get me wrong, these are a great pair of headphones but not being able to use the microphone, which was the main reason I got these, is very irritating. The sound quality is excellent, I just have to play all my music above half volume to overpower that annoying hissing sound. I tried using these on vent, my phone, and Skype only for other people to tell me that all they heard was quiet muffles and nothing understandable. I am certain that this is just an unlucky event, and I received a faulty item. I am currently contacting Razer and waiting for a response and hopefully a replacement...

Ahh the Razer Moray, these things are what started my Razer Fever. I have to say they sound great, look great (though the razer logo and the Left and Right should be more visible) and the pouch was a great add-on. You can crank you MP3 up all the way and hear little to no distortion on the music, unlike other earphones, and for gaming they are great don't expect these to sound like the megaladon or anything, but its decent I use them for my iOS devices, and the noise cancellation is pretty awesome. The only bad thing about it is that if you touch the cable or hit it you can actually hear the sound, I don't know what you call that but it happends that the only thing I can say about them that i didn't like.Over all I really recommend this to anyone, try them out you are gonna love them!

I have used these pretty much everyday for the past month with my iPod Touch and feel they are probably at their optimum sound quality.The list of pros is many. They are very easy to fit in my ear (especially for someone who has odd-shaped ear canals). I don't have to keep pushing to keep them in because they generally "stick" after one push. Whatever you're doing while listening whether it's running, walking, studying, or headbanging, they'll stay in. And, as they should, they come with several other sizes for varying ear canals so you're not forced to use the default buds. In addition, you get a nice little carrying case with Airline adapter.Regarding sound quality, I have heard just about every genre of music through these earbuds and find that they're tailored for the less bass, crisper quality sound. Since I'm not a rap-o-phile, I don't need thundering bass but some rock and techno sounds come off as slightly lacking because of this. Overall, I've never found it to detract from the listening experience if I don't pay attention to it. On the other end, treble and mid-range is incredibly clear and makes for a solid listening experience.The noise isolation factor is middle-of-the-road to upper tier. A comparable pair would be any Skullcandy earbud (my previous pair) where wearing the earbuds with no music is a semi-decent sound barrier but once you get some music going at medium volume, that's all you can hear. I've been using this in a college-campus and apartment setting. When cars pass me walking on a busy road, unless my music is near-silent, I can't hear them.I haven't actually used them for their advertised purpose (gaming), except maybe on my iPod which doesn't really count. However, on any laptop/PC, given a decent sound card built in the last 5 years, I'm sure the same audio characteristics apply.Lastly, I have nothing to say about durability because I've been rather ginger with this pair due to the passing of my Skullcandy earbuds. I must admit that untangling this cord (which is fairly long) is not as much as a hassle as it was for my previous pair. It's all in how you wrap the cord, however.Overall, a worth-it pair of earbuds that I would recommend for a casual music listener that likes to hear just their music and nothing else.

I've had these headphones for a year and I love them. I have small ears so it's sometimes hard to find in-ear headphones I like. These have made that list.The sound quality is great. The bass is clear, and the treble not overpowering.They look great, come with a little case that I keep my mp3 player and headphones in. They also come with different sizes for the ear buds, so you can get a perfect fit.The noise cancelling is great. I sit in the break room at work and study while the guys blare 007 on the TV. And, I still only have my volume at 7-8 out of 30. You can keep your volume a lot lower with these.The only thing I will mention is that if you have them in for a long period of time, in my case it was a 4.5 hour plane trip, your ears may get a bit sore. I have the same problem with earplugs, so I think it's pretty much anything you put in your ears, but that seems to be about the cut off, 4-5 hours.I would recommend these to anyone looking for something that will stay put, and good sound.

I'm using ear-buds most of the time. If I'm not talking to someone, they are mostly getting use.In the office with my computer so any audio from surfing is unobtrusive, while working out, when traveling. Not only to listen to music either. Every night I listen to audible books at bedtime and most often fall asleep with the buds on. It's true, and it means I have had a chance to sample a dozen or more ear-buds in the last 4 years.These looked good here from reviews. But when I got them the sound quality was very similar to these: Philips In-Ear Headphones Music Colors SHE3580/28 (Black) which I bought for $14.00. So, I let them burn in for a week and compared again. Very similar clarity, warmth, bass, separation, and definition.Now, I own another pair, the NuForce NE-6 earphones (same as NE-7M without mic), which cost about the same as these. They sound night and day better. Better bass, super clear, great highs. And the construction materials are better: they look and feel and sound like higher end ear-buds.I bought the Razer Moreys because I thought they would be more comfortable to sleep in, and, yes, they are. But they should be priced like the Philips, which they strongly resemble.

I really like these earbuds. I have had them for a couple or more years and they still work great. The plastic cone where the wire goes into one of the buds broke off, which is kind of a bummer, but I treat them roughly and as I said I have used them for years. There has been no problem with the sound.The whole reason I am even here writing this review was that I started to wonder if I could get more of these, for the time I lose or break these. Or maybe to use at home versus on the go. So anyway I like them enough to seek them out and get them again. I'm very happy with these and don't want to have to adjust to some other earbud sound.I was very pleased to see they are only $30, I thought they would probably be alot more (I was given the ones I have). Great sound, with great bass, and also they block out noise very well. they are basically earplugs as far as outside noise is concerned.The only thing that would make these better is if there was an easy way to tell right side from left side. I think it used to say that but it rubbed off.

These headphones do a great job at noise-cancelling. I can also wear them for hours without having my ears getting sore. The bass is at a good level, not too weak or too strong. At $30, these headphones are definitely worth getting

At first use, I thought the default ear pads were to large for my ears, so I mounted the smallest provided, and the sound quality was poor, then I set back the default ear pads again (medium size) and the sound quality turned perfect. So beware that the sound quality really depends on the ear pads you will use (3 pairs are provided, small, medium large). And second, the ear pads are really good to cut (hide) the external noise (in the room for example, so you just ear the sound, the downside is that when someone calls you you don't ear him, ehehe, just kidding, but it's true that you suddenly feel like in a luxury car with no noise at all in the middle of the city :-). This is perfect for me, as I work as a developer in an often noisy open-space, I can use it even with no music sometimes, just to work in a quiet environment :-)Now, the sound quality is really perfect, the microphone is very small, almost unnoticeable, and its quality is also perfect, this is exactly what I was looking for, a kind of very small factor headset with great quality for both audio and VoIP calls that I can always have in the back pack of my laptop, where a normal headset would break quickly. The small case is really good and quite nice, the cord is quite long (just the perfect size, not too long).I'm not a gamer, and these are the best earphones I had until know, you can use it for any multimedia purpose and IP calls, and I think the price is really affordable for the quality you get in turn.

After having a pair of iPod ear buds dying right out of the box, and buying horrible ear buds from Sony, Skullcandy, and Phillips. I had to find a decent pair that does not break the bank or itself. The Razer Morays do the job well. Before looking at these I was going to buy some headphones from a real audio manufacture like Sennheiser known for great sound quality, but poor build quality. I wanted something that would last. Then I found the Razer Morays, reviews seemed to be pretty decent and most people enjoyed them. So I decided to pick these up for about 30 bucks. Once I tried them out for the first time I was pretty surprised, it was a pair of ear buds that actually worked and didn't sound horrible. Treble was okay, bass was strong, construction was alright, and they looked cool and came with a pouch that also fits my iPod Nano. Sweet!So overall these ear buds sound okay and look pretty cool. If your expecting the highest quality sound, go look for something else like Sennheiser, or Klipsch. If your looking for some decent ear buds at a good price that wont break after 6 months I recommend these.

I've been wearing various noise-isolating earbuds for years now, and my experience overall has been that the wires break on most brands within two months of use. That's running the gamut from the ultra-cheap Koss earbuds all the way up to Altec Lansing Ultimate Ears. The standouts have been Sony and Skull Candy, just in terms of durability. They last between 2 and 6 months.And then there are the Moray earbuds. I bought my first pair two years ago and after daily use for the entire time, the adhesive is breaking down, letting bits and pieces fall off. The wires still work, the sound is good, but I figured it was time to get another pair. These are great earbuds. They sound good. They fit good. They even look good.But best of all they are cheap and they last forever.

These sound GREAT for $30 earbuds. I bought them to replace some broken ones I used w/ my iPod. These never fall out of my ears. Even though I haven't tried out a lot of earbuds, I can't help but to think that these might be the best sub $50 earbuds out after comparing them to the few I have tried. These have decent bass which is great for a bass lover like me.
