At least Logitech lets you do it offline.
This was my first and will be my last Razer product.
The amount of accounts you someone needs for a product or service is too damn high!
The battery life isn't horrible but it isn't amazing either. I really wish they would have gone with a USB charger instead of batteries but in the end, it's not a huge deal. I had to replace the battery once in about a month of fairly heavy usage which I can't complain about.
Now, the main issue is that the right-click button keeps glitching out and makes it nearly impossible to use it in an FPS game like Call of Duty.
I've reached out to Razer last week regarding this and I've yet to get an answer from them. Even if they're willing to replace this one, I definitely do not plan on purchasing any of their wireless products again.
Out of this Basilisk lineup on Amazon, I saw that there were 3 models of similar mice: The Basilisk (wireless), the Basilisk v2 (Wired; this one), and the Basilisk Ultimate (wireless + detachable cable). I almost bought the Wireless to give it a whirl, and clean up my desk clutter, until I realized something... for the price of ~15$ more (at the time of this review) the Basilisk v2 (Wired; this one) was available, and in comparable specification to the Ultimate model..! The only difference being that it was wired, and about 100$ odd less than the Ultimate! I immediately hit "buy now", and Ive got no regrets. I love this mouse.
From the RGB colour profiling, to the smooth tracking across the RGB Razer mousemat (Goliathus, extended version) its heavenly compared to my previous G203 Prodigy from Logitech. The travel is smooth, the click is confidant, the adjustable scroll wheel is actually shockingly tunable, and the look is just stellar. Finish it off with a classy, synched RGB accent and I'm a happy camper~
If you've never bought a Razer mouse before, as with everything, I would recommend trying it out in the store and seeing how you like the feel. Don't take the marketing material at face value. If you have tried them in-store before, or with a friend, and know what you're getting into and want to give them a go, you won't be disappointed.
5*s from me.
I know who'll be supplying my gaming mice from here on out ;)
Since this is a review of the mouse though, the switches on the sides don't feel like they're going to break (unlike my EVGA Torx Carbon that I used 2 mice before) and there aren't any parts that move around for hand size to break (like my Ouroboros before this mouse). I find this mouse very comfortable (for my size L gloved hands) and it's very responsive. The RGB on top is customizable in the software, so I was able to get it to match my keyboard and case RGB, which was also quite nice. There's one more button than I found I need but the "clutch" button can be removed and covered. I find I like the clutch button's positioning with my thumb, so I opt to skip the side button closest to my palm and keeping the clutch attached.
If this mouse ever broke, I would likely purchase it again. It's become very essential to my gaming for me and I very much enjoy it.
