- + Качество звука, компактность, доступная цена, отлично держит скорость вращения. Понравилась ортофоновская голова.
- - Трудно купить крышку. Приходится делать самому. Иногда при снятии пластинки случайно задеваешь пассик и он слетает. Привык аккуратничать, чтобы его не задевать.
Хорошо сохранившаяся коллекция музыки на виниле из 90-х опять в деле.

- + Достался по приемлемой цене. Хороший звук после смены иглы, провода и мата.
- - Игла ужасная, так и не понял пришла с проблемой или уже после пострадала. Пришлось раскошелиться но новую , взял goldring e3.Плохой комплектный шнур нужно менять, так как шнур от проигрывателя к фонокорректору очень важен, очень простой адаптер питания. Не настраивается vta.
При покупке не смотрите обзоры на дебют карбон ево, легко запутаться, это не он.

Приехал на 3 дня раньше, я в восторге от доставки ДНС!
По сабжу - это pro-ject debut, простой и изящный аппарат с минимумом настроек из коробки и замечательным звуком. Со временем поменяю вставку на OM10 и штатный опорник на акриловый и будет красата.

В модели реализован бесшумный синхронный двигатель. Вообще сделан проигрывать довольно качественно и выглядит максимально на стиле. В комплекте имелся кабель отличного качества для подключения к фонокорректору, резонанса нет.

Прошло несколько месяцев использования проигрывателя. Он все так же исправно работает. Пассик не растянулся и не иссох. Звук чистый, обязательно необходимо использовать заземление. Провода несъемные, но это не проблема...

Как посмотрю на этот "шедевр" так расстроюсь, единственно конечно это звучание качество которого успокаивает и доставляет удовольствие. Но в следующий раз если станет выбор перед Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USBHS10 выбрал бы ее. Я не думаю, что она проигрывает в звучании, а дизайн у нее классный. Хотел купить Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USBHS10, долго раздумывал и остановился на Pro-Ject Essential II Digital Piano толчком к выбору этого аппарата стало наличие оптического цифрового выхода. Качество звука значительно отличается от аналогового выхода. Минусов у этого аппарата на мой взгляд много: первое кнопка включения расположена с боку, что неудобно. Надо было или на передней части или сверху. Нет автостопа за такую стоимость могли бы и установить сию радость. Регулятор соскальзывания - какой то ущербный грузик на веревочке. И это "лучшее" инженерное решение.

Отличная упаковка (вес в коробке почти 5кг). Сам проигрыватель очень тщательно упакован. Сделан в ручную в Чехии. Очень компактный дизайн - лично мне очень понравился. Картридж Ortofon уже в комплекте (а его цена 3 000р.) Готов к работе сразу после распаковки.
Из недостатков могу сказать что сам корпус сделан как-то топорно. Винил на шпиндель еле надевается и снимается (толстый). Кабель в комплекте не съемный, т.е. поменять на более качественный только перепайкой можно. Сложно подобрать другую голову вместо Ortofon, т.к. тонарм настроен только под голову массой 3-5г.
По звуку могу сказать, что он звучит детально, ритмично и очень увлекательно. Никак не ожидаешь такого звука от вертушки такой цены. Браво Pro-Ject!
Решил его оставить у себя. Отличный вариант для экономного меломана. Цена/качество просто зашкаливает.
Слушаю в системе: колонки Focal Сhorus 836V W + усилитель Pioneer A-70-K + акустические провода Lo-D Hitachi

I bought this a few months ago, and installed it a few weeks ago...
There are downsides with this product.
1) It is a pain in the backside to set up. You have to put it together and you have to calibrate the weight on the arm/needle... then you have to check the needle with a protractor (supplied). It is a bit scary to do, if you have never had to do anything like that before. Luckily there are YouTube videos telling you how to do this. It took me a tentative half an hour. (5 minutes to do it, 25 minutes of worrying if I was doing it right and worrying about breaking it.)
2) There are definite design flaws.
The anti skate counterweight... it just flies off a lot of the time, if it gets any 'hit'. And of course, it will get disturbed during the course of the physical contact of putting on / taking off records etc. It's annoying. It should have a locking mechanism on the arm to hold it, unless you actually want it unlocked.
The rubber band that pulls the turntable round... there should be a groove where the rubber band sits inside the side of the platter as it spins round. When you pull the band up and down to change the speed, you can (and often do) accidentally knock the whole band off. And it CAN be difficult to put the band properly back on, especially late at night. It is a real design fault that affects the enjoyment of the product.
When you put any weight on the back left/right of the product, often inadvertently, the thing rises up... this is because there are only three 'feet' at the bottom of the record player, in a triangular formation (front left and right, and rear centre)... and for stability there should be four of them on each corner of the record player.
The thing is quite fiddly to use.... a) select the speed via altering where the rubber band sits on the spindle... b) put your record on... c) turn the record player ON by turning the on-switch on the side of the turntable... d) cue up the needle and pull the lever down... e) ENJOY!
And you really do enjoy the product - the sound is amazing. ADVICE... in my opinion... DO NOT use your amplifier's own internal phono stage (if it has one), (and if it does not have one) buy a Cambridge Audio pre-amp (the 551 version) to go with this.... it really does compliment this turntable and makes it sound even more incredible.
I understand that the quality and the expertise has been put into the choice of build-materials, the tone-arm, the choice of cartridge and the needle... I get this. The alterations I outline above would not make much difference to the price, but would make a hell of a difference to the usability and product experience.

This record player does what it's supposed to do - it plays records and produces a nice sound. However it is not very user friendly. My husband calls it a "purists" turntable, which is probably one word for it. My biggest gripe is that with it you get a tiny metal counterbalance weight, which you hook on to the end of the arm (in the correct groove of 3) using a small piece of invisible thread. When you get the balance right for your records, it is fine, trouble is, you only have to touch the bit of thread and inevitably slips off the end of the arm. Unless you have a well lit room, good eyesight (or glasses) and the turntable is easy to get at (the back) it is difficult to hook the "invisible" thread back on. The turntable also changes speed by moving the belt to the larger or smaller diameter wheel on the side of the turntable and getting the belt (large o ring) to stay on the side of the wooden turntable. As I say, good sound, but unless you are willing to faff around, don't bother. After the umpteenth time of accidentally knocking off the balance weight (have now got a small blob of blue tack stopping it falling off the end) I'm beginning to wish I hadn't....

Turntable is great; belt a tad fiddly to set up but otherwise probably about 20-minutes total time, mostly setting the anti-skate and balance weight on the tone arm. Sound is good (through a NAD 1000 pre-amp and then into a Logitech X-540) although I've only played a copuple of tracks each, of Led Zeppelin, Kate Bush and Blondie albums. Will probably run it through some decent speakers in the future and perhaps a power-amp after the pre-amp, however it plays loudly and cleanly enough through this set-up.
Downside was the switched-mode PSU (a small plug-in unit) that is a Chinese OEM 15VDC unit; the original one, wouldn't assemble- just a click together job - so I had a couple of days wait, for a much better unit, which assembled easily and correctly.

The difference in sound quality and my previous turntable, which was a good one, was amazing. It was well worth paying that bit extra.
I managed to put it together ok with help from the instructions and online videos. I was a but flummoxed by the anti-skate weight until I realised the almost invisible cat-hair was the nylon thread. Maybe it's some sort of initiation right into the world of hi-fi.
Good quality wires and the Pro-Ject phono box certainly help get a good sound.
The first track I played was Sultans of Swing. It sounded like Mark Knoppfler was standing next to me. I compared it to the CD and there's no contest.
Then Der Rosenkavalier in Andre Previn's recording with the LSO. The whooping horns couldn't have been more realistic. It's worth checking out just for that.
Changing the speed to 45 rpm was easy and quick enough with a bit of practice. She Loves You on a well worn 60's single was next up. It sounded really fresh and again it beats the one on the CD compilation hands down.
I've found it's reawakened my ability to just sit down and enjoy the music rather than just have it playing in the background. All in all a great purchase.

A really GREAT SOLID performer..
Pros: Sleek minimal design, silent, the om5e cartridge is punchy, great packaging, nice sturdy dust cover, great performance, I also added the acrylic it E platter and sounds and looks great!
Cons: matte black is prone to finger prints, color options are limited (red, black and white), the anti-skate is questionable, very light. feet are decent but not top notch and the felt mat that comes standard with almost all project turntables is just crap.
Also as one reviewer mentioned the dust cover hitting the tone arm that is not an issue with mine it closes perfectly.
I wouldn't say this is a beginners turntable there's some important adjustments that need to be made in order for it to perform its best .
Overall I'd recommend this turntable over the Debut Carbon.....well Unless you want to shell out the extra cash for hum and the noisy Motor which is the Debut Carbon, go for it !

Bought this as a present for my son. For the price this is a good turntable for high quality sound which is what my son wanted. The sound quality is as good as turntables at twice the cost. However you do have to build it yourself (the video link provided in the instructions was essential for this - could not have done it without it) and the speed change from 33s to 45s involves a somewhat basic adjustment of moving the belt from one loop to the other. Its great for listening to vinyl music to but be warned it will jump if you have people dancing close to it.

This is something special, I got it from Richer Sounds, it arrived 20 hours after my wife ordered it as a birthday present. I am using it with a Cambridge Audio Topas AM10 amp and some middle of the road speakers.
The sound is amazing and it is great to have some feeling to the old classic tunes I have on LP (Beatles and Status Quo, ELO etc), also the new LPs I have (Oasis and Ocean Colour Scene) sound more human than the digital alternatives.
If you are thinking about getting a turntable I would of course recommend this one but before you purchase it I would urge you to read the following:
Set Up. This system does require a bit of set up work, it took me about 30 mins after I watched the You Tube video and read the manual. Plus you have to manually move the belt if you want to change from 45 to 33 RPM (its easy but don’t try it after a few beers!!!).
Amp. You will need an amp that has a Phono input and preferably a ground connection. If you only have a line input you will need a pre amp. If you don’t have a ground connection it will work but you will get a slightly louder hiss.
The sound is amazing and it is great to have some feeling to the old classic tunes I have on LP (Beatles and Status Quo, ELO etc), also the new LPs I have (Oasis and Ocean Colour Scene) sound more human than the digital alternatives.

I've had this a few weeks now, so I think I can safely comment. The sound seems decent, warm and clear. I'm using it in conjunction with an 'ART USB Phono Plus Project Series' Pre Amp, which I'm also very happy with. I am very positive about this turntable. It is a great starter audiophile turntable.
It does have a couple of problems. The supplied felt mat is garbage. I replaced with a quality one immediately. The anti skate weight is hung on by a bit of clear fishing thread, and is prone to fall off from time to time. The belt also has come off a couple of time (Never while playing). The turntable itself is a bit on the light weight side.
I actually looked at several turntables, and took advice from a 'proper' Hifi shop before I was bought. I'm confident this is the best deal at this price point for what you get.
So a few flaws, but in the end worth it.

I actually looked at several turntables, and took advice from a 'proper' Hifi shop before I was bought. I'm confident this is the best deal at this price point for what you get.
So a few flaws, but in the end worth it.

Fantastic turntable, with an amazing sound for the price tag. The only downside is that you cannot set it up without referring to online guides as it is quite tricky and as for the belt it is horrible to fit and will drive you to despair. A slight recess would help.

Sounds good but in my opinion has two fundamental design flaws. I cannot say if this is the same for other decks
1 the anti skate weight is attached by a piece of very fine "fishing line" which has to be hooked onto a very shallow groove on the back of the arm - if your eyesight , fingers or deck location are not 100% this is nigh on impossible. If you knock the deck or lift the arm slightly too fast it falls off and the whole process starts again.
2 the drive belt is a round profile rubber band that just sits on the flat edge of the the platter - it is incredibly easy to catch with your finger when changing a record - This results in a few minutes of faffing getting it back on again.
Both of the above rather detract from ones relaxing listening pleasure.
Basically buy this if the deck is going to be on top of an easily accessible surface and you dont have fat fingers and are not planning on having a glass of wine whilst using.

Decided to re-discover my vinyl collection so did a lot of research but everywhere I went it came back to this one. Definitely worth it, good sound through Nad system with KEF speakers. One word of advice, don't forget to check if you need a pre-amp and get some cleaner for those dusty albums!

I really like this turntable. It's my first and it has so far played everything I've put on it with aplomb. There is a great set up guide on YouTube that helped me set up the tonearm counterweight etc.
I bought it because I read that the adjustable counterweight and anti skating weight, plus the ortofon cartridge all helped play consistently well on even slightly dodgy quality records and I'm not disappointed.

Very pleased with the sound for such a low price but very light weight.I had to concentrate each time I opened the lid at the end of a record(scratching the record)ended up leaving it open while playing which caused a dust build up and records started jumping.l would not recommend this deck due to how light it is,I never felt comfortable with it.

Excellent turntable! Overall great quality, only two downsides; 1. The platter mat is VERY thin and sticks to practically every record, so it's kind of a pain (not hard to replace though) 2. The dust cover will sit on top of the needle and apply pressure when closed. Maybe it's just my model, but I just put a little piece of plastic in between the dust cover and the turntable where it closes to give it some more room. Only downsides and easily fixed.

A total novice, but found the previous reviews very helpful. Yes, the anti skate weight can be a bit of a pain, but this is totally outweighed by the brilliant clarity of sound produced by this turntable. Enjoying listening to LP's I not heard in years

I nearly purchased this turntable based on a review in What Hi-Fi. Although the sound was good I found it a very frustrating piece of equipment which I also thought was finished very poorly. The belt drive came off nearly every time I needed to change over an album, it doesn't have an automatic turn off so you have to physically turn it off, the anti-skating weight flew off without being touched and I couldn't close the lid while playing an album. After a short while these problems became very annoying so I have returned the turntable to the supplier and I am looking for something which will represent far better value for money.

I have been pondering for some time as to which turntable to buy, reading various reviews as you do, and setting myself a budget, and have taken the plunge with the Pro-Ject Essential II.
Ordered one day, arrived the next - thank you.
Set up was a breeze, even for a complete novice like me. Okay, I needed both the included instructions and a very welcome YouTube video courtesy of Simon from Henley - thank you.
Now for the test... using a new piece of new vinyl and comparing it against its CD cousin, the difference is only slight (to my ears at least), but it is slightly better, and more of an event than just putting on a CD.
Service - better than expected. Product - couldn't ask for me.

So glad I bought this (on recommendation from What HiFi). This has brought life back to my collection of vinyl LPs. Comparing the same album on CD and on vinyl, this Pro-Ject turntable makes the vinyl recording come alive, giving the impression that you're "there" with the musicians. The CD equivalent is much less involving.
This Pro-Ject Essential II is a completely manual turntable - no auto return etc, and probably all the better for it. It does mean you have to lift the arm at the end of the side. Two other minor points: You have to be careful, when lifting a record from the turntable, not to dislodge the drive belt from the edge of the platter. The little anti-skating weight is a bit hard to attach, and its nylon thread can slip off its lug at the back of the arm, so overall the turntable needs needs operating with some care.
The main result though is that I'm enjoying some of my old music again - a great purchase!

If you want a better turntable, it seems you have to lose some practicalities, such as automatic switch off when the record ends, but this one has a drive arrangement which is infuriating me. The turntable is driven by a round section band which loops over a pulley and round the edge of the turntable. The edge of the turntable is flat, and has no groove for the band to sit in. This means two things - it is extremely fiddly to fit the band on the turntable, and also, I have large hands, and EVERY time I lift an LP off the turntable, my fingers brush the drive band and it springs off. (The turntable is the same size as the LP, so to grip the edge of the LP your fingers will touch the edge of the turntable) Surely a groove in the side of the turntable would solve this, or maybe a flat section band, but this model has neither. The sound is clear and fine, although this does accentuate the scratches on my old 60's/70's LPs!
