Сканер куплен для домашнего использования. Компактный, не занимает много места, работает быстро. Рекомендую.

Удобный сканер, появился у нас в редакции пару недель тому назад, картинки не только сканирует нормально, но еще и качество подтягивает хорошо, пробовал с несколькими снимками из категории не ахти, так на выходе получились довольно-таки сносные фотографии. С негативами самолично пока его не юзал, но коллега расхваливает всячески, цвета сканер в итоге дает живые и сочные, без искажений вообще. В наборе идет слайд-адаптер - удобная и полезная штука. Короче, работать с ним приятно, надеюсь, прослужит не один месяц, пока что нагрузки принимает приличные и при этом не глючит.

- + Высокое качество сканирования,быстрота и удобство,готовые сканы чаще всего не нуждаются в дополнительной обработке,даже стандартный базовый софт дает очень качественный результат,единственное неудобство это маленькое просмотровое окно прескана,но это мелочи.
- - За такую цену их нет

- + Сканирует резво, работает тихо. Поддерживает мультиэкспозицию, при наличии мишени возможна калибровка. Разрешение выше чем у любых планшетных устройств. Цена.
- - Отсутствие возможности покрутить фокусировку. Отсутствие ИК канала. Отсутствие автоматической загрузки.
Собственно самый настоящий слайд-сканер. Реальное оптическое разрешение 3800ppi. Уступает остальным слайд-сканерам в пробиваемости...

I would agree with most of the other reviewers that this is a great product for the price. I had tried a couple of other less expensive products and was very disappointed in the quality of their scans. They were very slow and showed film grain, a bubbly type of grain like shiny bubbles. The OpticFilm 8100 scans showed none of this type of bubbly grain, and no more normal grain than a colored print would show or even less. For my personal application it is a good fit. My use is mostly for viewing on computer screen or in PowerPoint presentations, not for making prints. I was very happy with the resolution of the scans on negative film using different brands Agfa, Kodachrome, Ectachrome etc, and the colours were acceptable. I don't have a need for batch processing film when scanning and as far as their scratch and dust removal, I use PhotoShop. So, I haven't tried their own software for fixing scratches, but I might give it a try some day when I have spare time. I once used one of the huge commercial Kodak PhotoCD scanners that scanned a slide or negative frame in 4 to 5 seconds at a maximum capability of about 3000 dpi, which is less than half the resolution of this tiny scanner. The Kodak scanner cost over $300,000 back then (1990's). We've come a long ways in technology. This scanner isn't that fast, but it has better quality, and the speed is certainly not so slow that I would reject it for my own application. For the price and quality I'll keep it.

First off, the driver software is extremely fragile, and the tech support is practically non-existent, being available only via a web page. It worked ok for several months, then after some Windows updates, it stopped working. I reinstalled the driver, it worked for a while, then totally stopped working until I reinstalled Windows from scratch.My second issue is that I have hundreds of old family Kodachrome slides, which really need a calibration slide to be scanned well. The main advertisement says that the hardware can take an IT8 calibration, but what it says on another page is that the software that the Silverfast 8 plus software that is included does not have that capability. Only the premium version of Silverfast has that feature turned on, and it is impossible to find out the price of an upgrade unless you put in the serial number of your basic version (i.e. only after you have bought it). So now I spent $185 on a calibration slide, and it is useless unless I plunk down another $180 for an upgrade.I deeply regret buying the Plustek 8100 and the calibration slide, because In the past I have gotten better, faster, cheaper, higher resolution results sending my family Kodachromes off to India.

For years I used a flat bed scanner with a slide holder to make digital copies of my slides, but it was cumbersome and had little flexibility. I recently purchased and installed the Plustek 8100 and have been very satisfied. The install was easy, and the software which comes bundled with it is relatively easy to learn. There is a quick scan option operated by a button on the front of the scanner and it will produce a 2400 dpi scan of a 35mm slide in about a half a minute. The Silverfast 8 software provides many more options than the Quickscan, and one can produce digital files in a variety of formats. Silverfast includes a dust and scratch removal function which is very useful for old slides. Also the slide holder accommodates a variety of slide mounts. All in all an excellent product at a reasonable price.

A very nice and easy to set up dedicated film scanner for the money.The Silverfast 8 software that came with it is not all that user friendly, but with some effort, excellent scans will result. The scanner now sells for a bit more than when I bought mine, right after Christmas, but I would still consider it a good choice.

I've used the scanner on a number of 35 mm transparencies and negatives, and I'm very impressed with the quality of the resulting scans. The included software (Silverfast) is a big help when dealing with tricky colour casts/dust and other imperfections.I heartily recommend this scanner!

I think this product works great. The only thing I wish it had is the IR scratch and dust removal. Using Silverfast to do it really slows down the processing time.

Purchased this after some horrible results from an outside vendor. Real pro quality and the software is exceptional as well.Also recommend a second set of trays as you can prepare for the next batch. Although it's a bit slow, the quality is well worth it.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
