Over all a beautiful product works as designed ... Provided you have the newer style ORCA sink.
In our situation this didn't work as the center leg support closest to the DRAIN was to long ( .5 CM) causing the rack to WOBBLE when any plate pan or glass etc was placed on top of the wire frame.
This happened twice on two units - the original and the replacement sent from AMAZON.
Our FRANKE Orca is a vintage from 2009 the earlier version, FRANKE has made a slight change in the stamping process - from what I can see is the FRANKE changed the slope of the sink bottom close to the drain - to increase water runoff towards the drain. Which would be why this center leg is longer by .5CM:
Thanks to Amazon for prompt replacement of the first unit and also prompt return of the 2nd unit.
FRANKE support in TN was very helpful w finding a replacement unit that fit the sink like it was new.
The support person stated that this had happened twice before to him and was able to resolve the issue.
If you have one of the earlier versions of SINK GRID for the ORCA sink this could be a problem, our GRID came originally as a grid w vinyl coated wires and the new one is not that way. This was a question that the support person asked which I assume allowed him to figure out the problem.
Anyways we are all happy now w the new insert.

Got this to replace an earlier version that had some kind of clear coat on it. The coating was heavily damaged due to wear and tear and hot pots placed on it; really a poor design for this. Got to the point where it just couldn't be cleaned anymore, even with a power washer.
This new version does away with the clear coat, is made of stainless steel, and is made of thicker material. It fits our sink perfectly.
Only thing is to make sure you have the right model number of your sink to ensure this fits properly as Franke makes a number of different versions for different sinks. The measurements at Amazon and Franke are right on, so that helps also. Once you have that, the Franke site will help you nail down which grate is the right one.

Love my Orca sink and love these grids - keeps the sink looking great. Would also recommend getting the side rack. The UNCOATED grids are much better than the coated ones (which I previously had). The coated ones are harder to keep clean. Warning about this rack though: when you take it out of the box, leave the plastic 'tubes' that are on some of the perimeter grids. I thought they were just to protect during shipping, but they are actually to protect your sink! (oops, yes, I did throw away one one them before I figured that out).

We purchased the Franke ORX 110 stainless sink for our kitchen remodel six years ago. We also purchased all of the accessories such as the grid drainers, cutting board, tray. The drainers were the coated ones which we figured to be better than plain stainless, providing a cushion between dishes and the steel rack. Within a few years, however, the coating started to wear on the bottom drain, and the metal developed a corrosive look. We decided the best option was to purchase a new bottom grid, electing to go with the pure stainless one this time.
Our original purchase was on-line from WSC Direct. We searched the web and found that the one on Amazon from East Coast Plumbing Supply was the best price. We received it today in perfect condition in the factory box. I am extremely pleased that we went with the stainless version for the bottom grid. It weighs more than the coated version and I'm sure it will be easier to keep clean. Have no complaints and highly recommend East Coast Plumbing Supply.

Great replacement for the original (coated) grid for my Franke sink. The old one was getting pretty disgusting looking and could no longer be cleaned because the coating was melted in several places--(my fault for putting hot pans on it accidentally). No worries with this uncoated version. Hopefully, it will last as long as the first one did (10-12 years).

lf you need this grid to fit into your Franke sink (and if you do there's no other grid that fits as precisely), get this model and not the coated version. They are not cheap, as you can see. But the coated version, which we bought with the sink, quickly discolored and became unsightly. It even peeled in many areas. We thought perhaps they made a mistake and the coating was supposed to come off. We were the ones who actually us that made the mistake by buying it in the first place. Had a know then what I know now, I would have bought this one, which was probably not available. It fits the sink just perfectly and I recommend it so far. The construction is nice and thick, too. Perfect for this sink. I'm only sorry we wasted $136 on the first one and there's no way to contact Franke.

Franke makes two different grids--one is coated and the other is stainless steel. We have had both, and the stainless steel one is far superior in that it is easy to clean, you can put a hot pot on it and it lasts. The coated one has limitations in that you cannot put a hot pot on it, eventually the coating peels off, and it is difficult to clean.

I previously had the coated one, and I liked it for a long time - but the coating got a bit melted (we didn't realize it was coated and set hot pot on it) and it deteriorated quickly. Awful looking, and impossible to clean... I didn't want to buy a new one to have the same thing happen. I love that I can set hot pots on this too cool (not too hot as I don't wish to warp my pans should they come into contact with cold water) The only drawback that I notice is that it's a bit louder, surprised me at first, but really to be expected since it's not coated :-)

Not only does this protect the bottom of the sink from dings, it becomes an essential work surface for cleaing. In addition, because the Orca is a deep sink the grid raises the work surface just enough so that you are not bending over and reaching down to the bottom. This saves your back, yet the extra depth of the sink minimizes splashing. This really is a very intelligent design. I though it was a frivolous luxury, but it is an essential item to make the sink truly sing!

Bought this to replace my old one. My old one was coated and you couldn't pour hot water on it. This one is just stainless steel so you can drain pasta or whatever you need over it. It's a little smaller than the original one so there is a little room between the grid and the walls of the sink.

This sink grid isn'e plastic coated, so you can place hot pans onto it. Its functional and beautiful. Easier to clean than the one with the coating on it.

The grid fits perfectly in my Franke stainless steel sink. My only complaint would be that the grid openings are far apart so items either topple over of fall through. Otherwise, the rack is solid and has plastic protective coatings where it meets the sink.

I had a rack like this but had plastic coating on it. Over time it looked awful & dirty.
Finally I replaced it with this un-coated rack. First one I got had shipping damage. Got the replacement today, well packaged and perfect shape.
Love this rack. It compensates for slope in the sink; It sits flat. I can soak casserole pans & cookie sheets with water up to the brim all around.
If you own this Franke sink, you need to get this rack!

Не знаю как надо ей пользоваться , чтобы не оставалось царапин , банально кладешь сковороду уже мелкая царапина и так от всего , внешний вид потеряла очень быстро

Смотрится очень круто - - Белый на самом деле молочный
У нас цвет белый, но по факту он молочный, так что, если ищете кипенно-белую мойку, эта не вариант.
НО смотрится она очень стильно и дорого. Пачкается как и все мойки, особенно светлые, но, если сразу смывать всё, что может оставлять сильный налет (воду в расчет не берем), то "чистой" продержится дольше. Да даже и грязноватой она смотрится...

- + Эстетичная, глубокая, увесистая, комфортна в использовании. Хорошо подходит для измельчителя: широкое отверстие слива и никаких вибраций при использовании. Идеальный размер, очень удобно мыть большие доски, противни.
- - Как и у всех каменных моек: боимся лишний раз поцарапать и выливать кипяток. Пришлось немного помучаться...
