Bought this to replace my old one. My old one was coated and you couldn't pour hot water on it. This one is just stainless steel so you can drain pasta or whatever you need over it. It's a little smaller than the original one so there is a little room between the grid and the walls of the sink.

This sink grid isn'e plastic coated, so you can place hot pans onto it. Its functional and beautiful. Easier to clean than the one with the coating on it.

The grid fits perfectly in my Franke stainless steel sink. My only complaint would be that the grid openings are far apart so items either topple over of fall through. Otherwise, the rack is solid and has plastic protective coatings where it meets the sink.

I bought as a replacement. The original one was plastic coated which wore done. This one is just metal and is a little clanky.

I had a rack like this but had plastic coating on it. Over time it looked awful & dirty.
Finally I replaced it with this un-coated rack. First one I got had shipping damage. Got the replacement today, well packaged and perfect shape.
Love this rack. It compensates for slope in the sink; It sits flat. I can soak casserole pans & cookie sheets with water up to the brim all around.
If you own this Franke sink, you need to get this rack!

I love these grids. I had them in all of my sinks. I just wish you make the spaces a little smalle so cups could be put upright and silverware doesn’t fall into the holes.

The Franke Orca Sink Grid is an exact fit for the Franke Orca sink. It protects the sink bottom yet leaves plenty of clearnace for dishes and pots that are placed in the sink.
I am heeding the advice of other reviews and keeping hot pots from touching the grid. I let my pots cool before placing in the sink. I would also suggest being extra careful with sharp implements such as chef knives when you place them on the grid. The plastic coating can be cut by the sharpness of the knives.
I think with proper care this item should last a long time. It is very expensive but worth the value of protecting an expensive sink.

Sooooo glad we spent the money on this to go in our new Orca sink. Hated to spend the money buy worth it for sure. Would buy again if I needed to. I only wish it came with the Orca sink for the price, but worth it because very good quality and very helpful (especially with kids).

Really love this rack. Had the plastic coated but they were hard to keep clean. These are of course noisier than the coated ones but they look much better.

We recently remodelled our kitchen and purchased a very expensive (for us) Franke Orca stainless steel sink. I researched it and heard that a grid was a must. Now that I have it, I can understand why. The grid has covered "feet" that don't scratch the sink and it keeps pots and pans from scratching the sink, too. I also like that I can do things like place a whole chicken straight onto the grid to rinse it off prior to cooking. I've only had it about a month but like it very much so far.

Heavy gauge stainless. Last one I bought had the stainless wrapped in a plastic coating which got ugly over time. This one doesn’t;t have that and looks like the day I bought it! Very happy with this

Love this item. It fits perfectly, protects the sink and allows items placed on it to dry without leaving a mark on the sink itself. Works as a dish drainer too, but most importantly, serves to protect the Orca sink wonderfully. It is sturdy, well made and easy to clean.

Fits the sink well. It does a great job of protecting the sink. Just be prepared that it is a little difficult to clean because it is a cross grid. There are some plastic bumpers on it that kind of get gunked up.
