Plugged into my e6400 and booted the first time without any issues at all. Could not ask for a better product. I would recommend this to anyone with a dell e6400. Make sure to verify you motherboard can support 8 gb of DDR2. Most older laptops will only support 4.

I have an Early 2008 iMac 3.06GHz (running OS X 10.7 "Lion") which originally came with 2x1GB RAM installed (2GB total). I upgraded it to 2x2GB of RAM shortly after purchasing it. I recently read that although Apple claims that 4GB is the maximum for this model that others had success with 1x2GB and 1x4GB for a total of 6GB of RAM.I purchased and installed the Patriot Signature 4 GB PC2-6400 DDR2 Notebook Memory PSD24G8002S in one slot and kept the 2GB in the other slot it and it works perfectly (as it has for others here). I've just started putting it through its paces, but I've noticed that applications open a bit faster as well as improvements in some other memory-intensive activity.Upgrading memory is the easiest way to improve the performance of almost any computer and I can recommend the Patriot Signature 4 GB PC2-6400 DDR2 Notebook Memory PSD24G8002S.UPDATE: Now running OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion plus updated the hard drive in my iMac to an SSD and this memory is still working fine.

Worked as expected in my Dell XPS M1530, replaced the 2X2 GB PC2-5300 OEM RAM with 2 of the 4 GB modules (I thought the maximum RAM M1530 can take is 4 GB, according to Dell support website. Otherwise I would have done this upgrade much sooner). They do not improve the RAM WEI score, but I did notice that Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator run smoother than before. I hoped that the price for DDR2 RAM was not that high, compared to DDR3 RAMs. But I don't think it will come down any time soon. Considering I want to keep this PC as long as possible (it's been almost 4 years now), even if I buy another laptop this year, this is not a bad investment.

But it is EXPENSIVE :(I would expect to find a better deal somewhere, but this is the best I could find at the time. Overall worth it I guess. Like I said, it work great.

My 4-year old HP DV7-1083CL had 4 Gb of RAM (2 Gb X 2) originally, but because I loaded this Windows 7 machine with many programs, I bump up to the memory limit often. I use TuneUp Utilities to optimize the operating system and to turn off some memory-resident processes and programs. I also use a free program called meminfo which can be setup to show the percentage of memory left in the lower right corner of the screen. Even with an optimized OS, I still have a memory usage of 75% or more, which slows down the computer considerably.The HP service manual stated that the 1083CL could only handle up to 4 Gb of RAM total, but this is not true. I also could not be sure if the two available memory slots could handle memories of different capacities.Taking a chance, I ordered a 4 Gb stick from Patriot. I took a 2 Gb RAM out of one slot and replaced it with the 4 Gb Patriot RAM. Now one slot has 2 Gb and the other has 4 Gb for a total of 6 Gb. So the answer is that the HP can handle up to 8 Gb and can accept different memory capacities in each slot.Having two extra gigabytes of memory to work with, my HP now feels a lot smoother and snappier. I can now have Chrome and Firefox browsers each having a dozen tabs open, iTunes and Zinio reader open, Skype, and reach a memory usage of only 60%. By the way, if you install meminfo, you can defragment the memory on the fly, instead of rebooting every so often to regain memory. Just right-click the memory usage indicator on the lower right and select Memory Defragmenter.The Patriot memory works, and it is definitely worth the $55 investment. You just need to find out the correct memory type and speed for your computer (DDR, DDR2, DDR3, etc.)

Was apprehensive at first.. that different brands of memory may affect performance. But it didn't and now my iMac 8,1 is very responsive. With 6GB, there are hardly any spinning balls. I must say this is a great buy, cheap upgrade for me!

I have a Compaq Presario CQ61 laptop with an AMD processor, and I purchased (2) Patriot Memory 2GB 200-Pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2-6400 memory modules to replace the (2) 1 GB factory installed memory modules. My laptop immediately recognized the 4GB of RAM, and we've been running smoother than ever, with much less lag & drag. I feel confident knowing this memory is backed by Patriot's lifetime warranty.The installation was a breeze, however, memory installation may vary slightly for your specific model....Turn off your computer, unplug the power supply, remove the battery and press the power button to discharge residual power. Unscrew the larger panel (on my model) on the bottom of the laptop and locate the existing RAM, make sure you ground yourself by touching something metal before touching the module, press the retaining clips on the sides of the installed RAM, the RAM will pop up slightly, hold the RAM by it's edges (try not to touch the gold colored pins as this can damage the memory) and gently pull it straight out of the slot. If you are replacing 2 modules the second one will be located underneath the first one, remove the second one the same way.If you are installing 2 modules, the first one will go into the bottom slot, hold the RAM by it's edges at a 45-degree angle to the slot, making sure you correctly align the notch with the key in the slot, gently but firmly push the memory into place then press the module down flat until it clicks into place.When you are done, replace the battery (but not the panel just yet), turn the computer back on, from the start menu go to "My Computer" or "Computer" (on Windows 7), right click, select "Properties", if the RAM has been properly installed it should have the new amount of memory listed under "System", now you can replace the panel on the bottom of the laptop and you're all done. If you don't see the new amount of RAM, turn off the computer and try "re-seating" the module.Not all computer memory is the same, therefore it is essential to make sure this memory module is compatible with your system. Check to see if your system takes DDR, DDR2, or DDR3 RAM and also the number of pins your system will take.

I bought two modules of this and my Lenovo T61P is running fine and smooth using Windows 7 64bit.The only problem is that the product received differs from the picture. This is actually a CAS Latency 6 instead of 5.The only problem i have is that the Price is much higher than the faster and newer memory modules DDR3, so consider getting a new laptop vs upgrading.For me I think it was still cheaper upgrading my T61P with this memory plus a SSD drive.

Good value. Works in iMac model 8,1 -- Early 2008 24" Alu iMac. I used this 4 GB module and one 2 GB module to get 6 GB total (even though Apple says this model can use 4 GB max). Works great! Tested with Memtest86+.

My sister had given up on an Acer laptop that she had purchased at a "big box" store. The laptop had great features except that corners had been cut when it came to the installed RAM. It only had 1 GB total of shared RAM. That just isn't enough for a dual-core processor running Windows Vista.I bought and installed two 2 GB sticks of Patriot memory purchased thru Amazon, and now the laptop runs great. No more freeze-ups. I can have several windows open and multitask without any problems. The memory is totally compatible with the laptop, and a diagnostic indicates it is operating perfectly.

Since they promoted 10 dollar mail in rebate, so I purchased this one.But after 45 days, they sent just post card and they said my rebate was not approved.I enclosed all documents, including original UPC barcode label, but the reason was I missed the UPC barcode label.Also my rebate application information in postcard is wrong.I really want to return these items, but I need these, so I'll not return.But I'll not purchase any patriot product.

I replaced the two memory cards in my HP Pavilion dv7t laptop running Win 7 64-bit with two of these cards and it booted right up. Now I have the maximum 8 gig of memory. Upgrade was simple.

Replaced the orignal 2G ram with this 4G in my Gateway netbook. It works! Simply power back up and done. Faster performance. There is only few users of LT31 mentioning the success of the upgrade to 4G. Official documentation of LT31 only mentions up to 2G. I guess 4G was not available and the preinstalled Win XP would not support either. Anyway, it works and I even upgrade the OS to Win 7-64 bit.

Bought this to upgrade my MacBook Pro to 4GB of memory. Turns out the max on my particlar model is 2GB. No biggie, I just left one of the 2GB sticks in. It worked great for about a day and a half and then started crashing every couple of minutes. Then it got to where it wouldn't even boot. Put the old memory back in and now it works like a charm. Not sure if the memory was bad or was just bad for my configuration.

I have used and will continue to use Patriot memory. I have never had a problem in the past. However, I tried to upgrade my early 2008 iMac to 6 GB using one slot of the original 2 GB and replacing the other with the 4 GB stick. Unfortunately it gave me kernel panics and I believe it was because I run another monitor. Others have had success with running just the main unit but I am so used to using a dual setup (monitor spanning) that I will suffer the standard 4GB max to keep the additional monitor. I really wished this would have worked. 5 stars to Amazon for allowing the return of this memory (this was the first time I have ever returned a purchase and as usual Amazon really puts the customer first.

I have been saving for the upgrade to max out my laptop memory and after installing a better firewall figured out I REALLY needed it and with rebate and after selling my old piece will have less than $10 in my upgrade. And its not generic crap memory its name brand with warranty!

arrive quickly. It works very well. The manufacture also handles the rebate quickly. I will recommend to others strongly. If your computer has only 2G or less memory, it is worth upgrading to 4G. But if your system is 32-bit, it cannot read more than 4G memory.

Before I ordered the ram, I had doubt it's reliability. But for $10 after MIR, I gave a try. It worked fine in my HP dv4t for one day. Then it kept the computer crashing. So I returned it.

Upgraded my Apple iMac 24" desktop computer (2008 version). Originally had 2 X 1GB memory modules. I removed one of the 1GB modules and replaced it with this 4GB Patriot. Very easy to install, less than 10 minute job. My iMac now has 5 GB memory total. Have been running for over 1 week so far with no problems. Highly recommended.

I bought two sticks of this memory after returning the Komputerbay equivalent because of a DOA stick. This Patriot memory works great. After upgrading from 4GB to 8GB my HP G71 laptop never bogs down anymore.

I had two 2GB PC2 5300 memory modules in by 2008 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro.This PC2 6400 memory is not only backwards compatible to PC2 5300, but its cheaper too!I swapped out one 2GB module for this 4GB module and instantly jumped to 6GB of RAM.Works great!

The new memory has increased the speed of my Dell netbook. The computer is able to have multiple pages open and still run video. Night and day performance wise. I think this is a necessity for anyone running windows 7 on a netbook.

I wasn't sure this SODIMM would work with my iMac7,1 but it did. I simply replaced the original 1GB stick with the Patriot Signature 4GB (PC2-6400 DDR2 Notebook Memory PSD24G8002S) in slot 1. In slot 2 I already had a 2GB stick. So my aging iMac went from 3 GB to 6 GB. The performance is much better now. Sweet!!!

I upgraded an HP DV9543cl notebook computer. The notebook came with 2GB, a year ago I upgraded to 4GB using Kingston KVR667D2S0/2GR.I have now upgraded to 8GB. No problems, everything works perfectly.This memory, bought as individual sticks, is half the cost of all other comparable memory that I have found. Save yourself $100, and buy these instead.

Right from out of box into my computer - Kaboom it worked fantastic. My system used to say "Out of memory" sometimes. It cannot do it anymore. Very impressed.
