I had first tried the similar functionality AT&T DECT 6.0 Digital Dual Handset Bluetooth Answering System (92270) and returned it for inability to use hands-free. The Panasonic units are able to be used hand's free. Panasonic added a soft plastic moon-shaped strip to the back of the handsets just for that reason, for better gripping. We can use the handset against the shoulder easily, or use a wired headset because the Panasonic handsets have a jack for a wired headset. The AT&T units have NO WAY to use a headset hands-free at any distance from the base, either wired or Bluetooth. Both the Panasonic and the AT&T only allow a Bluetooth headset near the base.The shape of the handset is more ergonomic than the flat-skinny AT&T units, and the Panasonics also have a belt clip. The AT&T units had very good sound in and out, but this Panasonic unit is even better.I wish the handsets allowed for a single digit speed-dial, but I do not see anyway to do it, and I have read through the manuals.

I really do not like to review anything after such a short duration of usage because the longevity of a product is an important part of how I think it should be reviewed. After 2 weeks usage, it's seems like a great phone system, of course everything works the best when it's new and then sometimes fails shortly thereafter as we have all experienced. It is easy to set up with clear instructions and the voice quality is good. I wish the volume was a little louder. I will review this product again after some usage.

I am happy with these phones though the only negative is that it isn't super easy to set up phone book in it. My old phone (which died all the time and was terrible) kept a history of like 30 numbers of people who called. this was helpful. This phone might do the same thing. i just haven't figured out how to do it yet.

Checked before purchase with consumer reports about the phone system and it was rated #1. I am very pleased with the phones and their range. Really like the ring tones. They replaced some AT&T cordless phones. Very pleased.

Phone works well. Easy set up, nice features. Love the keypad the lights up. Have company voice mail so I did not need answering machine. The phone recognizes when there is a message and lights up. I am very happy with the phone.

I used this in an extension outlet and it works nicely.The display, in particular, is superb. I can see it from several feet away.It shows the time and date - that is better than the time and date on my PC!The clarity of the sound is also excellent.

I am a big fan of Panasonic phones, and this one was intended to replace an aging Panasonic phone I have at home. However, and for the first time for me, one of the headsets did not work - you could not hear anything unless you put it on speaker. The "talk" function killed the audio and you cannot hear anything. This only occured with one of the two headsets, which told me it was a problem with that headset.Another problem is the absense of an answering system. I didn't notice that until I had the phone at my hands. If you need an answering machine with your phone, this is the wrong phone.Other remarks: the default ringer tone is really annoying. The phone has other much nicer rings, so I had to quickly change the default one as it was driving me crazy. Also the volume of the ringer was not as loud as my other Panasonic phones.I am glad I was able to return this phone easily. Amazon has a great reutrn system in place. I went online and printed out a shipping label, and they even took care of the return shipping fee. Thanks Amazon!

This is a great basic phone for the house at a reasonable price. Voice sounds crisp and clear and I haven't had any trouble with static or fuzz over the line which I have experienced on other phones such as AT&T, VTech, etc. The headset feature is also great for hands free calling, especially when you're trying to do other things while on the phone. Voicemail is easy to set up and retrieve. Screen is very clear and shows who is calling and if you have voicemail, etc. I have no complaints so far with this phone. As far as looks, it's not the sleekest looking/most modern looking phone but it's not entirely ugly either. It's rather small and so it makes up for the look. It sits perfectly in our bedroom and living room. I recommend.

This is a great phone, but does not have an answering machine as part of it. Phones I have bought recently all had that function, including the last Panasonic I bought, so I assumed it was there.

Have been using this 3 phone cordless system for about 5 weeks now. Has so far performed just perfectly. This particular model does not have an answering system which was fine with me, as I chose to continue using my current phone with a fine answering system. I like the fact that it stores all calls received, even if I was not here to answer the phone. My answering machine only records the number if a message is left. I did my homework before purchasing this unit, and it seems like Panasonic has some of the best phones out there right now. I can also add more cordless units in the future if I should see a need. BirdguyPLEASE NOTE - The phone that I purchased and reviewed is the KX-TGA652 and not the KX-TG6513B. My model does not have the talking caller ID.

This is a pretty good phone at a reasonable price. There are two things I do not like about it, however: (1) The phone book allows for only 50 entries (all shared, which is good, by the three phones) and (2) you cannot quickly go thru the caller id or phonebook (you must wait until the LCD display appears and then hit the button you want, etc.). The delay in the display on the LCD isn't a huge problem, but for someone used to immediate response, it can be a little irritating because you can do nothing until it appears (i.e., it encourages patience).

This is a great phone, as usual with Panasonic. Clear sound, no noises at all when talking. Anyway beware of the dogs...! I got a Belgian Shepard, who gets crazy and crying when the phone rings, no matter which sound I choose. I think it must be related to some kind of "ultrasonic wave" or so we don't hear.I really hope it will pass with time.Another issue is the 110V input in the transformers. Not 100-240V as many others, beware of it if you are in a country with different voltage net. I had to buy 3 new transformers, increasing costs.

Good basic phone. It seems to have a long range, which is cool. I go all the way across the street and still get reception. Simple to set up. The volume doesn't go as high as I would like, but that could be me...

I already have two sets of phone with answering system. I need a speaker phone that I can converse without holding the handset. This simple device is ergonomical. It reduce stress on my arm caused by holding the handset for a long time. Product description said the battery can last 13 hours when in use. I did not count, but my first try was about 9 hours in5 days. I hope the rechargable battery can last for years. This needs time to proof.

Our old cordless answerer died so we recently went shopping for a new one. We decided that having a matching set would also allow us to get rid of one very old unit and one we never liked. This phone is great - especially the phone book that allows you to edit the number that was captured by caller ID. And the caller ID announce feature does work! The range on these units is very good, and I like that they take AAA rechargeable batteries that can be purchased anywhere. Another added benefit is the larger text on the LCD screen allows us to use the phones without grabbing the reading glasses! My only minor complaint is that the answering system features are pretty spartan, for instance, playing back old messages and deleting them is not really intuitive. This set is not cheap, but Panasonic generally makes solid equipment, so we hope to have these for years to come.

After checking with Consumer's Reports, I chose this phone for my dad (90 years old) and had it sent directly to him. It has been a good purchase and the two cordless phones make his life easier. Easy to install, he had no problem setting the phones up in the house where he wanted them.

The KX-TG6513B is an excellent phone overall, especially considering the price. Set up was very easy, and it works great with our Verizon FiOS Digital Voice service. The hand set volume is good, but the ring volume is not a loud as I would like.

The phone works great and is easy to use. The display is so large it is visable from a great distance away. I especially like the call block feature. I have telemarketers calling despite efforts to block them. I programmed the numbers in the phone and now the calls do not even come through. For the price, and with the features included, you can't go wrong with this phone.

This phone replaced a shock & water resistant Panasonic. The improvement in tone and range is dramatic. Most features and menu access are similar. However, this phone has a button to access the phonebook and a Caller ID access button that are in a different place than the old phone and it throws you off at first. Also, those features are a bit less easy to use than the previouis Panasonic phones I've used. But given the tone quality and the range, its a good trade off. The speaker phone functionality is excellent.

I have owned numerous Panasonic cordless phones over the years and have never been disappointed. This purchase is NOT an exception to the rule. Easy to read face, good range, and no answering machine ( a must since I have VM from my phone provider). Set up was fast and simple, if you've had Panasonic in the past- easy even without previous product experience. Love the call block feature!I can't say enough good things about this phone!
