My intuition led me to get this. I used it for about a week. Nothing unusual from a spouse. After feeling guilty and wanting to stop using it on the very last day it gave me all of the information that I needed.
The tracker is super accurate. Battery lasted about a week on 10 minute intervals. I really don’t think you need it set any shorter.
The website crashed or system crashed for a few hours once. I emailed tech support and they got right back to me.
If you’re like me and need to just know. Get this. It works.

I had a trailer stolen from my driveway. Ever since, I have stepped up the surveillance on my assets. Currently, I have 2 of these units for my vehicles, going to be adding a 3rd and 4th for my other stuff. Battery life is okay, but not awesome, although since they are rechargeable via USB cable (included), I can plug it in the car that it is tracking, works fine. I would like the option to get an email on 'battery low'. Also, it's $19.95/mo for EACH. You can't add devices to your plan, they charge you separately for each, which is dumb. Tech support said that once I hit 3, they all drop to $14.95/mo, which I guess will work. Had them for about 2 weeks now, will update this review if anything changes. All in all, good product and works as advertised. Their website is responsive. Future google map integration would be great.

I’ve never had to use tech support so I’m unsure how well this works. However, since this product works so well WHO NEEDS TECH SUPPORT!? you pay a monthly subscription fee of around 19.95 I believe. The battery lasts me around two to three weeks. It notifies me exactly where it is, when it left when it is moving how fast it is moving what direction it is heading and if it goes into a restricted area(that I created) it notifies me STAT. Hellllll yeah it doesn’t get any better than this little gem! You can put the Gps device inside the magnet case and it hangs on for dear life!!!! It won’t fall off! It notifies you when battery life is low as well.... love this mighty beast!

This is by far the best company to purchase any tracker from. I could go on and on about how wonderful the mechanics are and how easy it is to use but I want to swear by their customer service alone.
Let me tell you my story.
I got into a bit of ruffle and unfortunately my GPS tracker/casing fell off of my vehicle. I figured, well darn, I paid a whole year in advance for this thing and now it's gone. I felt really bummed out because I bought it due to someone stealing my vehicle 3 months prior to my purchase.
So there I was, living in St. Louis, MO feeling really unprotected without my tracker. Then I remember purchasing a warranty for it so I called them up. They told me that the warranty doesn't cover if it gets lost or stolen but since I was a loyal customer under the circumstances I was in, that he would make an exception. Coolest thing ever, he gave me a replacement tracker and casing. Delivery time only took 2 days during these pandemic times too. I couldn't be anymore happier with what a wonderful company this is.
Most companies aren't like Optimus these days. They have a truly dependable product and great backing that you can stand by.
Buy from someone who cares about you. Buy from Optimus.

Bought the tracker and magnetic case. Stays on the underside of the car fine and tried it in the back where the spare tire is kept. Worked both locations fine. Not 100% accuracy as far as locations. With a lot of travel the map can get difficult to read because of all the lines crisscrossing the map. Does not always show when the car was stopped for several minutes (which may be good if it was stopped in traffic, for instance). Not hard to use the web interface, but it is not as robust as I would have liked. The data is not as useful as I'd like. Lacks details. Map keeps jumping back to original size when I'm trying to move it around and view the routes travelled and that is frustrating. I have only used it for about 8 days so will see how things go in the long term. Does help me feel more secure about my loved one who needs a bit of extra help these days remembering locations and routes.

We got this after doing a bunch of research on trackers. We needed to track our extra car we lent to one of our adult childern. It was amazing on how we were able to see all the places he would go, park, etc. After he ran it out of gas, and basically abandoned it in a parking lot we were able to recover it. The biggest complaint we have is the battery life, it would last about 3 to 4 days on a charge. So what i did was take it out of the box, got a used mini USB cable and a lighter plug adaptor, hard wired it into the radio circuit, and mounted it under the dash. Now it will always charge and report it's location. Their web site and Android app is easy to use once you get logged into you account. They use Google maps, so it is accurate. Would I recommend this, yes. I've talked with a few friends and they were impressed with it and are going to pick one up. It's small enough to put in a bag, backpack, pocket of a jacket, etc, so if you needed to track your kids, or ageing parents. Setup of the monthly billing was easy on their web site. I did have a few questions, used their live chat, and they were answered quick and professionally.

It’s a drag climbing under the car for the weekly removal for charging it, however. And I hate that it’s not working for me while I wait for opportunity to put back on car. I own the car so it’s perfectly legal! So I intend to get extended battery. Soon.
Magnet and case are extreme-strong. And it’s accurate as far as I can tell. I had tech probs initially w/ battery. But, that was handled swiftly and graciously by the team in TX.
The best thing about this device? Customer service is pretty amazing. They really want you have a good customer experience. Joseph especially has been good natured and patient, taking time to find the right ping intervals to conserve battery-life and still get the dada I want. And let’s face it, if you’re tracking somebody, odds are, things aren’t going all that great...So the customer care is really appreciated.

This tracker is very easy to set up and get it running,
Ideally, one should get 2 identical trackers, so that one can be swapped out immediately while you retrieve the one running out of battery juice;
I did not use the magnetic case, in the event the tracker may fall off when on the outside (but I did not test the magnetic case);
Battery runs about 8% per day, so gives about 8 or 9 days before needing to be swapped out and recharged;
The only quirky thing is that while you are scrolling about the map, it always jumps back to location of the tracker, when you dont want it too,,
At night when tracker is parked, the software shows the tracker wandering (when I know the car is not moving),
The app version the tracking lines go under highways--so that needs to be fixed,
Otherwise, a great accurate tracker,
Also the report that you click to generate did not seem precise--being it missed some points,
I only wish I can track my partner's cell phone--my partner is clever enough to get rides from a coworker or ???

I have used other gps trackers for vehicles and this one is by far the best product and for the price of the bundle. I use to have to spend almost $120 per device and then you would have to by the case separate and the cases that I would get the magnets would break off or just not strong enough. this case is strong and weather proof and gps is almost about a good 10 to 15 feet from where it says it is on the map. could use a little work on the drift when parked but that is common with most gps.. to get the 10 second pings you have to let customer service know you want it and I don't know if any one else will need it but I use these to track vehicles we need to find if tow truck is not available to get down the road at anytime.

Initial setup took a bit, once I got it outside and in the open it fired right up. I called service number and guy helped right away. Very pleasant technician. It's not truly "live", but has a couple minute delay. Handy to have ability to text when certain speed exceeded or if it leaves the "fence" you create on map. Monthly fee is reasonable, at least until graduation....

The set up to activate the device, register for an account, connect to the satellite/GPS was easy and quick. The accuracy of knowing it's location is precise, right down to which side of the house I was standing with this in my hand. I attached it to our travel trailer (see pix), the magnets are strong and have a grip. I found a spot where it nestled right behind a bike hitch. Right from the start I set the feedback for 10-minute intervals. I was able to track my wife and daughter from NJ to Madison, WI and back over a 1-week period. 2,000 miles. They left on a Saturday morning and returned on a Friday nite. When they arrived, the battery reading was at 55%. (I took a screen shot the next day and it was at 54%) That's a solid performance for 8-days of constant use. I liked this device. It gave me some peace of mind checking the travel progress in real-time.

This is the product that will not fail you! I have used it to track the teen borrowing my car! I know where they are, what routes taken, how fast they are driving. We live in a lot of “cell dead zones” and this tracker still gets the signal through using AT&T towers. It’s perfect to “keep an eye” on a spouse too! 😁! Battery from full lasts about 2 weeks depending on how often used. Very discrete and magnet is very strong!

It works really well! Only thing is, Sometimes it says it’s moving but will only “move” a short distance when it’s actually parked but it does stay in that same general area. I really love this and it was so worth buying! I love the text notifications you can get when it is moving. The magnetic case is very strong and stayed in the same place the whole time. I put it under the carpet in the trunk of the car. I received this 10 days ago and currently charging it now whenever it hit 10%. Car doesn’t travel too far so that’s probably why it lasted so long.

The website and app are very easy to use. The magnetic case holds strong, but is the seal on it is not great. The first time I removed the tracker from the case to charge, it was dirty along the sides.
The tracker worked great for the first two weeks. After that the battery only lasted 3 days and the accuracy was horrible! I had the tracker in my hand at home, but it showed it was 4-5 miles away. I contacted support and they responded saying the tracker was probably in an area with poor reception and they would monitor the account. The tracker worked great the previous two weeks at the same location.
This morning At 7am the battery was over 60%, and now at noon, the battery is at 23% and the drive duration was only a total of 37 minutes.
If you’re looking for a reliable tracker that’s lasts, keep looking!

I received the unit on Aug 23, immediately charged it to 100% (it came 50% charged). Didn’t take long. You have the option of setting it for 30 sec reporting intervals all the way to 10 min intervals. The 30 sec option says (hi battery use) right next to it so at least they warn you. It is the most accurate on the map though. I set it at 3 min intervals and today Sept 5th it’s at 30% battery life. Granted, on the map it gives you more of a beeline route because of the time between intervals but it’s fine for what I use it for. There is a kit available to hard wire it into the cars power source therefore eliminating the battery issue. Might look into that. Haven’t had to deal with customer service so can’t rate that but overall very satisfied and bought a second one for my other car. It uses cellular SIM card tech for the GPS and it states that if it loses cellular service it stores the info until you reach cell service again. IT DOES REQUIRE A $20 MONTHLY SERVICE FEE FOR THE CELLULAR SIM CARD.

I am unhappy with this product. The instructions must be translated from Chinese and are not very clear. The Battery only lasts maybe an hour. It doesn't perform when I need it to. Waist of the money.

This tracker has a clear mapping system (Loved), really easy to set-up and get started. With the $19.99 package I had, the movement of the vehicles has couple of minutes delay...which was not a problem. The only weird thing was that the when the vehicles were parked at a particular location the exact addresses on it's reports was wrong. It was not a big problem as the vehicles on the map were still very close in the vicinity of the address. I never also check to see if the company provided reports on previous history. But I believe they have several different levels of packages to provide different features - I just needed something basic and that got the job done!

You can track with updates from 10 minutes to 30 seconds. Wish there was live view tracking in real time. The track will show off R oad depending on the time intervals you choose. I chose 10 minute most of the time with bouts of 1 minute and 30 seconds. The tracker lasted 2 weeks before I had to recharge. It was under a car and never fell off.
I suspect the other reviews that say it fell off was because of bad location on the vehicle. You must make sure the magnets are securely attached.

We have a 16 year old son, and originally we installed an OBD type tracker. It would mysteriously "fall out" of the OBD port...usually whenever he didn't want us to know where he was at. We decided to get the Optimus 2.0 with the magnetic case. It is installed on his vehicle in a very discreet place, and it works great!!! In fact, in works so great and is so discreet that you wouldn't even have to let someone know it is on the vehicle. :o)
Have had this for about a month and a half, and could not be happier. The tracker is very accurate. The mapping system and features on the app are great. This was SO easy to set up and use!! Battery life better than expected! If you don’t log on excessively to check, I got it to last 2 weeks!!! The only issue is that sometimes I get contradictory info. The app on my phone may show it located at one address but if I use my laptop to view, the address may be completely different!?!? I highly recommend this tracker!!!

I don’t review many products and I’ve only had this a day but already it’s been amazing! Even customer service! Late last night I was attempting to set time intervals and could not figure it out, so I emailed tech support! In the am after playing around some, I did find it but at the same time I received a email back from tech support! Pretty impressed so far and no hiccups. I own a cab company so tracking the vehicle is vital! I’m testing this on 2 vehicles at the moment and one barely moved (alerts on the lowest battery use setting) but is dying quickly and the other was moving all day and lost 1% at 3 min intervals (this one has lasted almost all week and could go another day or so. otherwise great deal and low monthly costs! I will be ordering them for the whole fleet if they continue to be accurate!

This was my second try at GPS Tracking devices and far superior to the first. It comes in a well protected box that makes it a little larger than some trackers, but the box protects the tracker much better from damage. The magnets are powerful and keep the box in place. The tracker is spot on in recording live displays every few seconds/minutes, according to how it is set. I ended up also purchasing the extended battery, which eliminates recharging the battery so often. Together, they are exactly what I wanted.

The app is super user friendly. Needed no tech support at all for the set up.
Battery lasted me 12-14 days each time but I only had to charge it once. Unfortunately, I had the evidence I was looking for rather quickly. When I was finished I canceled my subscription and they responded within a few hours. Very pleased and highly recommend this product.
