This phone is for all of us that want a smartphone experience in a small package. I believe this is one of the smallest smartphones out there. It is a very handsome looking phone that feels nice from holding in your hand to its impressive screen.It is based on Symbian 3 so it would not satisfy you if you are an app junkie. For what I use it, I have all the apps I could possibly need.The big pluses for this phone are:+ light and small+ very well built+ the Nokia implementation of haptic response is superb (the phone surface vibrates underneath your finger)+ good reception and really good voice quality+ excellent phone book, calendar, connectivity (will do 3G with T-Mobile), WiFi is great+ free voice navigation and maps for practically all the world without the need for data plan for the lifetime of the device with no strings attached.The notable negatives (nitpicking)- the screen is tight for frequent typing (get Swipe, works great!)- the camera is just OK, but still it is a phone- not many NFC enabled peripherals available- the updates for the operating system take long time to be distributed.Overall, an excellent phone if you are looking for a small phone with great organization capability. If you text a lot of browse internet a lot, you will need a bigger device.For my needs it exceeded my expectations in practically every aspect.

Love this phone. I've always been a fan of Nokia phones, but with the smartphones they kind of fell behind. However, they're finally catching up. This phone is great. It is way smaller than usual 4"+ screen phones, which makes it a lot more convenient to carry around and use. Camera takes great pictures. The screen is very responsive. Symbian takes a little time getting used to, especially if you have used ios or android before. Waiting for more apps to come.Especially love the fact this phone is unlocked. It's about time US gets more unlocked phones. I use it with T-mobile value plan, and it saves me over 200$ a year.

Thanks for your reviews,I was not surprised when mine showed up today with top half of screen out of frame. Still a gorgeous phone,replacement on its way. Nice surprise is the 4GB card inside (not mentioned anywhere). This phone will replace my Nokia 5800 NAV (junked up and blown speaker),can't wait, 3x faster at 1.3 (after FP1),better OS,more Ram, more storage and thinner.Great deal for one fifty and no data plan (on t-mobile). I also like the N9 but it is soooo beautiful that it is girly (got pink one for the wife a year ago). Too bad I won't get to use NFC since I am not allowed to touch her phone :(

As much as I love Nokia phones for their build quality, this is not a well built phone. Let me explain. After 6 months of use, I started to experience the BSOD (black screen of death). This only happens when I'm receiving a call. At first, I thought that there could be some dust/dirt on the proximity sensor, so I cleaned the entire phone. But after experiencing this more frequently, I did some Google searches, and the problem is the phone itself (or the screen in this case). Of course it's not all negative. If there's one thing that I like about this phone, it's the design. To sum it up, I highly suggest you guys to buy a different phone.References:[...][...]

This phone is worth 0 star. I don't know whether it's cause of poor packaging or manufacturer's fault. The touch screen is coming off. And this unlocked GSM Phone with peeling off Touchscreen doesn't work abroad (in Belarus). Although it must be International. I'm upset that I could check it after expired returning period.

I'm from Europe and a sucker for Nokia products, so this review will be biased.This phone is very stylish. It's clearly a Nokia design - bar form factor but with a touchscreen, very very thin, no huge screen or plastic construction. The chassis feels very sturdy. I have been put off with the "bigger is better" trend in current smartphones - this phone is perfect for me.The display is gorgeous. Comparable to my roommate's Galaxy S2, but not as bright. Battery life is okay, but the phone will die within a day and a half of heavy 3G/gaming.Speaker is loud and clear, louder than my iPod Touch. The "lip" design worried me but is much more subtle in person. Phone came with a 4GB microSD card plugged in for some reason, which was a nice bonus; the support of 32GB microSD cards was a big selling point for me.Symbian Belle is great. It's definitely not Android, but I like it more than iOS - it's polished and very customizable. There is a severe lack of Apps in the Ovi store, so if you're the kind of person that likes 5 different Fart apps, this phone isn't for you. Nokia tries to integrate some things with their Ovi "suite" but the implementation seems half-assed. Probably because they've given up on Symbian and switched to Windows Phone, which I think is a huge mistake after using this phone. Symbian has just started coming into it's own. Browser is much improved over previous Symbian versions, but from what I can tell, still slow compared to other mobile browsers.In the end, it's a nice mid-range smartphone with great functionality; it's not superduper quadcore with a discrete GPU, but it's got a solid smartphone feature set and great design. The price is maybe a bit high, but the phone is quite new to the market.I found these specs and review helpful when deciding to buy:[...][...]

I have say after looking at all of the current smart phones out (that all are super huge in size these days) this was the best I could find. Super happy with it so far and for the price it was a bargain!!!! Oh and it fits in my skinny jeans perfectly.

I got this for my wife to replace her aging unlocked 5230. The 1st phone received had a build quality issue. The screen wasn't glued properly into the phone body. Amazon quickly sent me a new one. Good job Amazon! The 2nd phone works great with no issues.

Hardware:- Extremely slick and cool looking. Quality is top class- The screen is fluid and just beautiful- No front facing camera :( :( :(- Battery lasts one day with heavy usage without any issues at all- Camera is very average- Because of its small (read cool) form factor difficult to keep the phone still when taking a photo- NFC, NFC, NFC - this is going to be a big one in the coming days. It has one in itSoftware:- Nokia Belle is pretty nimble and not battery thirsty as Android and iOS- Support for widgets and they dont crash as in android- The app for youtube points to a website which is really pathetic- Major apps missing - Dropbox, Groupon, Mint, all banking apps- There are some nifty apps like DLNA play, Battery Monitor, Nokia Drop, NFC Apps and the best of all Nokia Maps suite, simply awesome and blows google maps out of the park since you dont need an internet connection for Maps since they are on your phone- Software updates can be done over the air, no need to connect to PCOne major issue i have faced is that the ambient light sensor isnt what Nokia expected it to be. It kept the screen changing its brightness evry other time which was extremely annoying. There is a third party app for it Nokia Screen Brightness, which can disable it and fix the problem.Nice cool alternative to android, apple madness. beautiful, small and powerfull package with very limited apps. An almost smart phone

Smart phone is a very powerful and unique style, ultra compact, nice touch screen, good sound and a high definition camera for video and photos. I recommend it I like Nokia!

the phone was very slow and freeze a lot. It was not assembled perfectly in the factory; the LCD screen was loose. I used it just for 3 days and returned it to amazon,

Touch screen was coming off from the frame of the phone. Replaced it twice but all three phones had the same problem. So didn't keep any of them. other than that it was a nice phone. light weight and thin.

It's a great phone, like most of the nokias I've tried can resist impacts and rude treatment in a very good way. Actually I accidentally drop it from a table and fall almost a meter away and the phone was like if nothing had happened.The only problem is that the battery dies really fast specially if you are in a place with bad signal and 3G connection, 5 hours and it was dying and you have to run to charge it. Besides that "little detail" is a nice smartphone.

Never!!!!! again will i buy the nokia 700... the phone looks very nice, but nokia cut to many corners when they made this model..amazon sent me twice this phone and they both came with the touch screen peeling off with really bad data connection.i had to return both phones.i wasted two weeks waiting for the phone back and fourth.now i have no phone..the pros the phone is sleek and cool looking the screen colors is nice..to bad it was poorly made, i would had liked this phone...

I'm tired of huge, bulky smart phones like Samsung's galaxies, iphones, blackberries, etc. This phone is really slim and perfect for your pocket.It's GPS can work in assisted mode or totally offline helping your wallet to reduce costs avoiding the use of data in roaming.Symbian Belle is simple, easy to use, intuitive, in other words gorgeous..!!! Setting you email account it's incredible easier in comparison with previous symbian versions. I set up my yahoo mail account in a couple of minutes. There are plenty of apps in the ovi store, enough for a normal user. I'm sick of android and iOS thousands of applications...there are so many apps in the android market or itunes that gives me headache..!!I got this phone to use it in Costa Rica/USA/Saudi Arabia and it works perfect...!!

Overall, the phone works well. Having a phone with the Symbian OS in the USA at this point in time has its drawbacks, but I assumed this when I bought the phone. I like the small phone size.

So the phone is tiny and pocketable. It's pretty. It feels sturdy. The touch screen is very responsive.But, you'd probably be better off with an iPhone.The Symbian Belle software is very glitchy and does not work. There'll be times when I'm in an application and ask the phone to do something and it just won't work. The phone will acknowledged that the screen is being tapped, but the software doesn't know what to do.Nokia Maps is not intuitive nor easy to use. The email application doesn't work. The phone keeps telling me that I have no data connection (even when I set the phone to offline mode, thus telling it that I don't want it to have a data connection). It comes crammed with applications like E! and CNN Video which I will never use, but I can't delete them!!! I'm sure there's no such on the iPhone.I specifically bought this phone because I have always owned a Nokia, but this phone is like a 3 legged dog. The software just does not work and I have been frustrated since buying this thing. I am not an iPhone fan boy. I wish I was, I probably would have bought an iPhone and not been stuck with this under functioning phone. There is a weather application as part of Nokia Maps that has yet to work. I had to download an Accuweather application to get the weather. Worst of all is the battery life.The battery life is miserable. I'll be lucky if I get 36 hours of standby time if I play Angry Birds for more than 30 minutes. That's without using any other apps.Buying this phone would be a ridiculous buy. Not a smart deal.

Touchscreen a bit cumbersome; not fluid. Icons so small that using fingers is difficult. Size is perfect and color was good.

MY NOKIA 700IS A VERY NICE SMARTPHONE. IT IS EASY TO USE AND HAS A GOOD PERFORMANCE. THE COLOURS OF THE IMAGEN ARE VERY REAL.IT HAS A COMPETITIVE PRICE.

The touch screen is very touchy and you need to watch what you are doing or it will change screens. Otherwise the phone has been very good.

Just the gps working without a data plan pays for itself, especially when travelling overseas. Active noise cancellation works beautifully in noisy environments.
