I was surprised by this fan, I didn't buy all the hype about Noctua fans, but I am believer now. I am shocked at how well the 80mm 5v fan runs, and how quiet it is. I needed a 5v fan to run on a pi cluster and I didn't want an external 12v power source just for a fan. I could have bought multiple 30mm or 40mm fans and hooked on up to each pi, but this blows more air than probably at least 10 generic off brand 30mm fans. The hype is real people.

Love this brand, never disappoints. Wired for USB right out of the box. Used this fan as an exhaust fan on my entertainment center. My surround sound, and PS4 now operate in the same space and their internal fans no longer kick on. Great power for a 5 volt fan!

Fan is a lot stronger than a different brand I tried. I didnt pay attention and meant to order 40mm instead of 80 though, but ill try and find a use for it.
Its pretty quiet and does give off a great bit of air. Originally ordered it to be put into a costume

I bought this to replace a fan on a guitar power amp and before the fan it had was Chinese and you can hear that thing. Now you cant anymore.

Parfait pour Cooler Master Notepal U3
Au bout de seulement quelques mois d’utilisations, les ventilateurs fournis avec le Support ventilé Cooler Master Notepal U3 Plus sont tombés en panne.
Impossible de les retrouver séparément, j’ai donc opté pour 2 ventilateurs Noctua NF-A8 5V + un câble Y, branché en USB. Ils s’attachent très bien sur le support ventilé et soufflent plus que les originaux. Malheureusement on ne peut régler la vitesse, mais ils restent moins bruyants que le PC refroidi.
Je vous les recommande donc si vous êtes dans mon cas.

Diminution de la vitesse par resistance ne fonctionne pas.
Apparemment la vitesse n'est pas réglable avec une resistance, je ne peux obtenir qu'une vitesse très faible, un état vibratoire intermédiaire ou à fond en fonction de la resistance. En utilisant un contrôleur de tensions de 3V à 5V on peu réguler la vitesse mais il reste difficile d'obtenir une précision sur les vitesse faible/moyenne (le ventilateur semble passer d'une vitesse à une autre au lieu d'avoir un changement complement progressif).
Au final il reste difficile d'obtenir une gamme de vitesse qui convient en remplacement dans un appareil puisque le ralentissement par resistance ne fonctionne pas.
Pour le reste c'est un bon ventilo comme les autres NF-A8

Refroidissement de box internet
Je l'utilise pour refroidir ma box internet (avec une impression 3d) et j'ai perdu 10C en moyenne sans que le bruit soit trop important. L'adaptateur USB simplifie la connexion, les fixations en caoutchouc sont simple à mettre en place et semble limiter voir supprimer la transmission de vibration (si il y en avait).
Réponds exactement à ce que j'avais besoin.

Du noctua... Parfait et produit incontournable.
Vraiment , rien que l'emballage et on comprend le sérieux de noctua . La couleur reste particulière mais c'est parfait !!!!

Used this fan to stand alongside my old sky hd box in a cabinet. The sky box was often freezing and realised that was due to overheating. The fan is just standing on one of its sides on the shelf, not attached, running continuously. No noise or vibration and has solved the sky box problem. Wanted the 5V USB version so can power off a phone charger. The USB connection is a short wire that clips on to the 3 pin connector so I also had to purchase a male/female USB extension for my installation.

After installing it (at the back of my small rack) I decided that it's a bit too loud and purchased the Noctua's fan controller, but that was a waste of money as it didn't work (wanted to return it, but they didn't want to give me a refund). All in all - this was probably my last Noctua fan. Switched to AC Infinity recently and I'm extremely happy.

Great fan with handy USB power. Perfect size for cooling a few Raspberry Pi in a stacking rack and from the same USB power brick. A little noisy maybe, would've been perfect it Noctua included different speed adaptors allowing for different noise levels like the other fans they make.

Bought it to cool a raspberry pi 4 plus a powered usb/sata caddy (which I plugged the fan into). Even with all four cores running flat for hours out it's staying under 45 degrees and around 35 degrees idle. I haven't even got round to making a box yet: it's just resting on top!

Lo compré para refrescar tvbox y está cumpliendo a la perfección su cometido. Lo tengo enchufado al tvbox por el puerto usb, he puesto encima el tv box y calculo que me ha bajado unos 10 grados la temperatura de este. Al estar enchufado por usb el ventilador arranca al encender el tvbox y se apaga al apagarlo, suena tan poco que ni te enteras. Si lo queréis para lo mismo que yo deciros que cumple a la perfección.

Habe den Noctua Kühler verwendet um einen Fliegenfänger zu verbessern welcher einen ziemlich lauten Lüfter hatte. Mit dem Noctua ist das ganze nun flüsterleise, man hört den Lüfter absolut nicht!
Das Zubehör war wirklich aller erste Sahne! Diverse Anti Vibrationspads, einen USB Adapter und ein Adapter mit einem Kabel welches man direkt verlöten kann.
Bin super zufrieden und kann den Noctua Kühler daher Bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen.

Despues de gastar y gastar en ventiladores de otras marcas de igual precio y que no me daban resultados (niveles de ruido excesivos por mas que sea una version "silenciona", mala calidad en general, etc) llegue hasta esta marca.
Es increible el nivel de detalles que se le puede dar a algo tan simple como puede ser un ventilador. Mas alla del muy prolijo y protegido embalaje, trae adaptadores para usb, extensores de cable, fijaciones de goma como alternativa a los tornillos, hasta incluso un manual! Otro punto enorme que hace la diferencia es que TODAS las puntas del ventilador traen gomas para evitar vibraciones. Es que hasta el plastico es de altisima calidad.
Super recomendable. Llevo 2 ventiladores comprados de la marca y nunca mas voy a gastar en otra.

Ich habe diese Lüfter bereits mehrfach im Einsatz allerdings nur in der 12V Variante mit dementsprechenden Adapter.
Dieser neue 5V Lüfter wurde an eine Fritzbox angeschlossen um diese, in einem Schrank stehend, zu kühlen. Dies funktioniert zwar sehr gut, aber die Leistung des USB Anschlusses der Fritzbox liefert zu wenig Strom um den Lüfter auf voller Umdrehung zu betrieben, was aber in meinem Fall trotzdem gut passt. es sind sogar Adapter vvon 3Pin auf USB dabei, somit ist er sofort einsatzfähig.
