Хочу сразу заметить, что Nintendo 3DS навряд ли можно рассматривать как единственную приобретаемую для дома модель консоли. Лично я имею XBOX 360, а Нинтендо решил приобрести так сказать в дополнение, как диковенную игрушку. Сразу скажу восторг полнейший!!! Графика никак не может быть сравнена с HD XBOX, но всем сомневающимся сразу скажу, на боксе чтоб была видна его графика нужен еще специальный телевизор и HDMI кабель. И если у Вас отдельной комнаты с отдельным телевизором нет - Бокс Вам подойдет только как часть интерьера))) А портативная приставка она всегда с Вами!!! И качество изображения нужно сразу понимать у нее другое!
Теперь об играх. Когда покупал выбирал между PSP и 3DS. Но как владелец XBOX обнаружил что на PSP теже игры, только в худшем качестве и с ужасно неудобным управлением. Таким образом, смысла покупать PSP если у Вас есть PS3 или...

очень доволен приставкой - купил батарею увеличенного объема (до 20ти часов игры)и пленки на оба экрана в итоге обошлась в 8 т.р. игры великолепны - обитель зла , kid icarus , зельда , марио ,kingdom hearts и много других ! советую всем кто ценит в играх геймплей и сюжет больше чем графику .

Консоль, видимо, рассчитана на лиц младше 16 лет. Нормальных тайтлов нет, а те что будут в нескором времени — порты игр середины прошлого десятилетия. Сильно устают глаза из—за стереопризм — 3d с затворными очками в десятки раз...

Не могу сказать точно, что в данной консоли достоинство, а что недостаток, но у меня устройство совершенно не вызвало никаких бурных восторгов и реакций, как было показано в официальной рекламе...
Кто-то тут писал, что глаза не устают...Люди, Вы что?? Я только кинула взгляд на экран у меня мозги "раком" встали.... Если кто-то помнит так называемые стерео картинки, вот что-то вроде того, только глаза самому...

I honestly didn't think I was ever going to buy a 3DS even with the price cuts. It wasn't until this version was announced that the thought of buying crossed my mind. I've never played a fire emblem game myself, but I've heard good things about the series. When I saw all the amazing reviews of Fire Emblem Awakening and all of the upcoming titles this year I was drawn in even more by its allure. This and the beautiful 3DS itself is what finally convinced me I needed to get this 3DS. I don't think I'll ever regret that decision.The game itself is worth buying a 3DS for. Seriously. I haven't been this hooked to a jrpg in a really long time. Needless to say, I'm going to be following this series for many years to come. It has a really deep strategic combat system that's easy to get into, and so far I love every single one of the like 25-30ish characters that travel with you. The story from what I've played so far is good however it isn't the most original of stories, but the fun and engaging combat along with the amazing anime cutscenes and the game's overall spectacular use of the 3D effect make this one minor setback easily overlooked. I won't give an in-depth review of the game itself, there are plenty of sites like ign that have great reviews to look at. Over all though you'll find exceptional scores from all of them.Onto the console itself. Man is this one beautiful console. The pictures, while good, don't do it justice. The combination of deep azure blue that changes hues at certain angles and the awesome silver regalia make this the best looking 3DS to date. I know some would argue the Zelda black and gold edition is better, but in my personal opinion this the best looking one on the market. While the fire emblem game comes preinstalled, the SD card itself is 4 GB which is more than enough space if you don't constantly install videos on it. Yes it may become a problem if you want to buy another 3DS like an XL or something, but this 3DS is so good looking I don't think you'll ever want to buy another one. And honestly the screen size isn't an issue for me. So far I haven't thought any game could use some more screen space. the developers really know how to utilize the space they're given.Cons:-Fire Emblem Awakening is preinstalled; may be an issue for those who may eventually want an XL or their 3DS breaks in a freak accident or something.Pros:+Fire Emblem Awakening is preinstalled; don't ever have to worry about losing this awesome game.+Fire Emblem Awakening is amazing. Every 3DS owner with a love of RPG's should own it.+Good gravy this console is beautiful+Great list of games already released and games coming out this year. (see below for some of my most anticipated of this year)So there you have it. If there is a store near your house that's selling it for $199, ie. Gamestop, do not hesitate to buy it. These things are selling out FAST. Mine was the last one within an ~50 mile radius. even if it takes an hour to get to that store, it's worth it. If there's none near you, then you're just gonna have to give in and buy it on amazon for $250 right now. Either way I'd act fast. It may go up even higher like the Zelda edition if you wait too long. Honestly if I permanently lost my 3DS right now, I would probably shell out the $250 online for it.3DS games coming out this year that I'm excited for and you should probably be too:-Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate(basically monster hunter tri with tons of new content)-Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate-Rune Factory 4-Pokemon X and YGreat year to own a 3DS!

I bought this for my little six year old on the sole basis that we live in Washington and we don't always have the luxury of playing outside when ever we feel like it. So, I got my little guy the 3DS. Let's review.First I'd like to start out by stating that the price for this really can't be beat. I bought this with the Marioland game installed for $149 at Best Buy on a Black Friday deal, but to be fair I probably would have paid about 60 bucks more after playing around on this. I have owned a DS prior to this but ended up selling it a few years ago due to video game variety. Since then I have to give Nintendo credit because they've really added some great titles to the DS and 3DS.On one negative side note, I did notice that the new 3DS does not seem quite as sturdy as my old DS, but regardless it still very sturdy. I mentioned that because I noticed some reviewers pointing out the fact that the 3DS is flimsy, which I don't think is true at all, but I can see their argument if they are comparing to the old DS. We've only had it out of the package a couple days now but my son has no clue how to treat electronics so needless to say so far it has passed the durability test (He can't just set the game down when he goes to the bathroom, he has to get up and toss the 3DS on the couch...urg).The function is great and I especially like the additional thumb analog stick for the more fluid movements as opposed to the traditional Nintendo arrow pad. The graphics are pretty good and rival those of the Wii for comparison. One negative mark for the 3DS is the actual 3D feature. I have to admit it's actually really cool.....for a little while. After long usage it can give you a headache (anything over an hour to an hour and a half, but to be honest, nobody should stare at a screen that long in the first place). The effects of the 3D can be adjusted and I suggest doing so. After I turned down the settings on the 3D it was much more enjoyable and added longer game play without a headache for extended usage. Also, the 3D can be turned off completely if needed. For some people that may be a vital piece of information.The wifi on this work pretty good. I was really surprised to see how well it worked for Netflix (Yes, for those of you who did not know, this does support Netlix. And pretty well too.) It actually did everything internet wise fairly fast. I give the wifi a big thumbs up.The game that this particular 3DS comes with is called Mario Land 3D. It is by far the funniest game I've played on the DS platform (or any platform for that matter), and maybe even one of the best Mario's I've played since Mario 64 or Mario Sunshine. Thumbs up!So between the 3DS and the PS Vita some of you may be in a bit of a struggle. Well to be honest their both great. When making this decision it is best to consider the age. If your audience is 10 or younger go with the DS or 3DS. If they are older, go with the PD Vita. The Vita also has better resolution when watching movies, but it's really nothing too major, but the games are geared more towards older kids and adults. The 3DS is good for all ages but younger kids have a better grasp of Nintendo games and they seem to be a lot more simplistic. So, age is your factor but do your research cause it's not always the case.All round I have to say I am very happy with this purchase. It was between this and the PS Vita (which I'm sure we will get next Christmas, because it is really fun too), and for now I am really happy with my decision. This amazing deal not only comes with an awesome Nintendo 3DS, but also with Mario!The Nintendo 3DS review:This system is pure awesome, much better then a PS Vita. While the Sony's Vita does have the graphical advantage, it does not have a decent libary of games (most are just Playstation 3 hits rebulit for Vita) and the price is way to extreme. The 3DS has quite a number of varied games, from Angry Birds (not kidding) to Kid Icarus to Mario's line of fun. Third party support has never been Nintendo's strong point, but the 3DS seems to have a lot outside of Nintendo. The Nintendo Eshop is also has a lot of high quality downloadable games, unlike the DSi Shop. Just the other day I noticed a fish out of water Android app in the Eshop (Speed X was the name of it) and also fainted. I don't know if that was just a one time thing, but soon we might have Words With Friends and Fruit Ninja. And the 3D is just jaw dropping. Playing games in 2D feels like a thing of the past. The games do pop off of the screen at rare moments, so people who say it is not in 3D obviously did not spend much time with 3D turned on. The 3D gives games a great sense of depth, I will never forget the feeling of "peeking" into Mario's world. The 3D occasionally impacts gameplay, turning it on solved one of those block illusions that people were always puzzled by, and it often reveals hidden secrets. One of the most interesting features of the Nintendo 3DS is streetpass. Streetpass is the a special term used for when two 3DS systems connect. The fun thing about streetpass is that it happens everywhere. I can be walking down the street and pass somebody else who has a Nintendo 3DS. Streetpass gives special rewards depending on what game is running. These combined features make the 3DS a cunning cutting edge system. It has a few flaws, but so does every other systems.Super Mario 3D Land review:Super Mario 3D Land is more of a step backwards from Mario Galaxy, but that does not mean that it is no fun. The gameplay feels a lot like Super Mario Bros 3 put on a 3D platformer engine. The levels are fun and graphically stunning. While Super Mario Galaxy still has the best graphics for a Mario game, Mario 3D Land burst with color and a charming 3D/2D mix. One minute you are running around a pyramid looking for an entrance, the next thing you know you are in a 2D tunnel. The camera is unlike anything I have seen before. It switches to every angle imaginable, even a Legend of Zelda teasing top view. The return of the Raccoon Suit was a blast. The entire game is based off of it, from the logo to the intro to the enemies. Every enemy now has a tail. I expected Goombas and Bullet Bills to have a tail to put in a little variety, but then I discovered that Boos, Bob-ombs, and even Bowser came with a tail. And then I turned the game up to full 3D and got the full experience. This game is a shining example of the meaning of 3D. The 3DS becomes a little window instead of a screen. Everything is custom built for popout. The flame throwers are placed on the back of the wall so that when flames are released it looks like it might actually burn you if you touch them. At one point Mario jumped right off of the screen. His jumps were amazing when the camera was at an overhead view. Now I almost always reach for the 3D slider when playing Mario Galaxy, only to realize that it is on Wii and that it does not even have 3D built in. 3D Land is quite fun even with a few drawbacks.Overall, don't miss your chance. The 3DS is becoming one of the greats, fitting right in with Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, and DS Lite. It has a growing libary and really has some unique features Vita and DSi lack. Nintendo is amazing in their recovery from the terrible launch the 3DS had. It is another reason to admire Nintendo and their work.

I got this 3DS bundle at my local Gamestop on the 10th and I have no regrets so far. As others have said, this DS looks GORGEOUS (particularly since blue's my favorite color!). The system itself has been fun to mess with--the 3D is gimmicky for sure, but when the game or application uses it well it can be cool. I really like how it looks in Fire Emblem, particularly for atmospheric effects like snow and rain. The touch screen is really responsive, and the streetpass and spotpass functionality is a blast. I wish it was easier to friend people and interact with them, but it's a Nintendo handheld so that's not a surprise.The game itself is GREAT, too. I haven't beaten it yet, but I'm close to the halfway point and it's really, really addictive. I've already racked up around 40-50 hours logged in it. (Don't use that as a guide to the game length, though--I'm bad at the game so I have to restart often, and there's been times that I've left the DS on while doing other things. The game itself says my play length is about 20 hours so far.) I'm not as attached to the characters in this one as I was in FE7, but it's still easy to grow to love them, particularly since you have your own avatar and can support with any of them. The game has a large amount of options for play and difficulty, which makes it really fun to tailor the game to your play style, as well as, I predict, good for replays. The game also has free, optional DLC until 3/6, so that's cool.I do have some small minor complaints that you should take into consideration if you're debating about getting this bundle:-This 3DS is pretty small. I'm a woman with small palms but long fingers, and sometimes my hands feel a little cramped when using the handheld. I'd imagine it'd be even worse for adult men--if it wasn't for how gorgeous the limited console is (and how great the game is) I would've regretted not going with the XL.-Be sure to turn off the 3D effect if you've been playing for a while, it can cause a bit of eye strain.-The battery life does seem a little low, although I haven't run into any problems with it yet. Turn off 3D if you're out and about.If you don't want FE:A or you don't like the look of this DS, I would say go with the XL overall, since the improvements are worth it. That being said, the DS is GORGEOUS IRL--even prettier than the picture!--and the game itself is a blast, particularly if you like JRPGs, SRPGs, or if the idea of being able to pair up your characters (and your avatar!) appeals to you. So if you're liking what you're hearing about it, pick it up. Overall I haven't been disappointed.

Compared to the 3DS, the 3DS XL/LL is sturdy and fits nicely in the hands of even a small girl like me. As other reviews have likely noted, you can shut off 3D entirely if it bothers you and you simply bought the system to play some of the new games. Features like swapnote and the friend code that isn't connected to particular games make the 3DS simpler to communicate with others. In the case of my DSi XL, I could not use my password protected internet connection and would have to go outside to an open "free" internet area or buy another product to hook it to my computer.I had a friend that's heard, "Go XL or go home," as far as the difference goes, and I agree even on so petty a level as looks. It's far more attractive inside and out and the paired colors of white and especially this pink look as though they match. The normal 3DS has black on the inside and is oddly concave. It feels flimsy compared to this model, and if you like pink, the hot pink and black frankly looks tacky, even if you prefer a brighter color and enjoy pink on black. Also, since so much more involves the stylus or being able to see the top screen, larger screens and more space makes a difference. It may seem big, but it fits in my coat pocket just fine.Another thing about the 3DS in general, if you are wary of upgrading, are many new features that go unmentioned. You can instantly take a picture by hitting L or R, and in the middle of playing a game if you are stumped, you can click the internet button and look up a help page. Once there, you can bookmark it, so that you can return. To play another game you naturally must close out of the game you are playing, but to use the internet you don't. It might seem frivolous, but I'd choose this over the DSi. The DS lite is worth keeping, if only for the ability to play gameboy games. This system plays all DS games. It also allows you to port any games you purchased, but it doesn't seem to save data. Also, any game moved from your DSi is deleted there rather than duplicated. You can move it back, but you will not regain your data, so think carefully.I'm sure there are better reviews, but this is my personal experience with the system.

Pros: new design, the larger screen that seems to have an HD quality, the improved 3D scope.Cons: The new screen shows every, little detail (which is good in a way,) but makes many images take on a grainy, or JPEG quality, and the camera still has terrible quality.I thought I'd upgrade my 3DS, and boy did I! This device is fantastic, who would think a slightly larger screen would be so HUGE?! I'm exceedingly fond of the matte finish, as it doesn't get plagued by fingerprints. The outside is a nice, soft, (maybe baby pink?), with a creamy white inside, I couldn't imagine what these colors would look like with a gloss finish, (probably obnoxious), the matte approach seems to be working well for this color choice.The "select," "home," and "start" buttons below the touch screen are actual buttons unlike those odd, squishy, hard to press...things that're on the original 3DS. You barely need to touch them on the 3DS XL for them to work, and give the system more of a "professional" feel.The stylus is in the side of the system, as to the 3DS's top accessible one, and is no longer retractable as it actually fully fits into the device now. This is especially nice for those hardcore gamers who don't want to lose points fumbling over the retractable 3DS stylus.The overall boxy design of its predecessor is now sleek, with rounded corners (that don't dig into your palms when you're playing an intense game.)There are other things that I've noticed, such as the screen brightness, it's a tad (a tiny, tiny bit) dimmer than than on the 3DS, and sound seems a little softer. These two things don't bother me, but I'd think it'd annoy some people, more or so if they even pick up on it.Upon turning on the 3D scope, you get a much better picture, which I think is attributed by the larger screen.If I think of anything else, or if you have questions, I'll inform you. : )Happy gaming!

After I opened the box, I was greeted with a very odd sight. There was a small, red, thing sitting in the box. No papers or books, no 3DS to be seen.The thing sitting there was panting like a dog but was a chrome-red type color. Like the 3DS that was supposed to be in there. I just looked at me with those black eyes that resembled the 3D camera lenses on the back of a 3DS. There were two ears dangling off the side like a small dog. It had to front legs that looked like the right and left bumpers. It's back leg (yes, one leg) was the stylus. It was about the size of, well, a 3DS.It suddenly focused in on me. When it saw me the stylus started growing like someone slowly extended it. It stuck the SD-card tongue out at me wagging the stubby analog stick tail in joy. Then it jumped up into my arms and started licking me. It was like a small dog-serpent thing. It was adorable. I decided to name it Link. He knew basic commands and was keen to learn new things. He became my best friend.Then, in 1998, I met the love of my life. Emily was her name. We married in 2002 and had our darling daughter, Jaquanda, in 2004. Life was great. Link didn't seem to age and took to loving the family easily and fast. He protected JayJay day and night and knew just how to treat a baby.Then, in 2007, JayJay vanished. We were devastated. Link was as happy as ever. WE just couldn't take having the dog around anymore so we put him up for adoption a few months after JayJay was gone. I thought that was the last time I would ever see Link. I was wrong.In 2009, he arrived at my doorstep. All he did was just stand there. My wife went to the door and Link looked up at her. His little 3D camera eyes shone bright blue and shot giant rays of blue at Emily. She was immediately dead with two large holes in her chest. I ran. He is still looking for me. I can feel it. There is no question that when it has came down to Nintendo, they have been the most dominant and driven video game companies of all time. For the past 30 years, they have definitely changed and influenced the way we play video games from start to finish. From the classic Super Mario Brothers, to the first time we've seen the vulgar and then fun-loving ape Donkey Kong, all the way to us dethroning Ganon from the clutches of his reign against Zelda in Hyrule. Nintendo has definitely shown that it has done it all. While other companies have tried from Sega, and Sony, none of them have had the long-lasting influence that keeps Nintendo going. With all the hype around what Nintendo has done with the 3DS this past Spring, they have finally brought gamers into the 3rd dimension, and it is definitely worth it.The new Nintendo 3DS Super Mario 3D Land pack, includes Nintendo's 3DS system in a shiny crimson red, that is bold as the colors Mario wears in his bouts with Bowser. The game system is fresh and vibrant as you could expect. Not only can you download great games from the Nintendo through the E-shop like Excitebike, and DSiware greats like Art Style: Base 10 and Asphalt 4: Extreme Racing, but you can play your favorite Nintendo DS titles like Meteos, New Super Mario Brothers and Brain Age. The system also shows a brilliant display of great graphics with new titles like Starfox 64 3D and The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D which you can play with the control at your fingertips, as well as the bulit-in gyro sensor where you can simply move the 3DS and try to shoot down your enemies, or take a stunning photo of your friends with the 3DS camera.The bundle pack also includes Nintendo's latest gem for the 3DS, Super Mario 3D Land, a game of stunning display as Mario tries to save Princess Toadstool (also known as Peach) from the rule of Bowser, as he attempts to steal the tree which holds the tanooki leaves in bloom. The gameplay is absolutely fierce, but also includes a lot of challenge in Mario's quest. The sound is classic just like Mario's games from before by mixing in a bit of old and classic platforming with the new technology, and the gameplay is overall a incredible and fun masterpiece.If there is ever a reason to get the Nintendo 3DS, this is definitely it right here. The Nintendo 3DS Super Mario 3D Land bundle pack is definitely worth the money. It is a great buy for any gamer top to bottom, and shows in a nutshell what Mario has been able to do all this time that has never been forgotten. While so many people did overlook the system at launch, it certainly is unavoidable. The Limited Edition Nintendo 3DS with Fire Emblem Awakening is an exceptional purchase. The handheld itself looks fantastic with its bold color and sleek Fire Emblem designs. If I have one complaint it is that my large guy hands fit awkwardly on the device and it took some getting used to. That aside, I really have no other concerns about the actual 3DS. The 3D screen functions well and is definitely something new and interesting for me and while playing Awakening it does an incredible job bringing the anime-style cutscenes to life. The second screen is used for displaying the map while in a battle as well as statistics of friendly characters and enemies and even hints about basic strategies and how to maneuver around the battlefield. The characters and mechanics of the game are more and more wonderful the deeper you progress in the game. I heavily recommend it for anyone who enjoys JRPG's and RPG's in general.If you don't already have a 3DS or a handheld then you should certainly put this in to consideration. It is well worth the price and I would have even paid a little more just because of the game. If you decide to buy this, I recommend playing in Classic mode. There's really no other way to play a Fire Emblem game.

The 3DS itself is going to cramp hands for any game other than this, where you need to keep your thumb over the face buttons while using r frequently. Also the system has a glossy plastic covering the entire thing, so it can get slippy pretty easily.The game is underwhelming to me after loving sacred stones and beating it on multiple difficulties. This is for several reasons:The art style is this odd half chibi look where the characters all tiptoe around on little stub feet. The 3D animations are boring to watch, and there are repetitive motions many characters go through before even attacking, like with the characters who transform in to animals to attack, You have to watch them shape shift over 4 seconds every time they engage in combat, its silly.The gameplay is still solid, but it is bogged down by an unwanted eugenics gameplay where you breed units together and then make their children into super soldiers. The game also has you make a character to self insert yourself into the story, something I find incredibly cheesy.The cutscenes however are really nice looking and are not in the same chibi art style as the rest of the game, and with the 3D slider on they look amazing.

This will be my first Hardware review for this year so please bear with me.For those who wants to get the 3DS specially this one, please don't hesitate and grab one! the unit itself is good and I feel contented with it.I owned a 3DS before (black) and I sold it for some reason I did not enjoy it because it is small for my hands and that's it (it's personal reason, yes) so that's why I grabbed the this one and it fits perfectly even when playing kid Icarus doesn't bother me (didn't even used the stand that comes with it)now let me mention some stuff here that this is a "Good Buy"- Larger screen than it's predecessor- Longer Battery life- the select - home - start buttons "Are" really buttons not just a part of the screen.- the D-Pad is clicky (more comfortable to push) and so does the X,Y,A,B buttons.there is no reason for you not to buy this product there's a HUGE library of games including DS games + 3DS games and more coming out this year specially MARCH (3 major titles coming out Monster Hunter, Luigis Mansion and Castlevania all for the 3DS)some people say "Vita is better/has better graphics, 2 analog sticks" well I SOLD my PS Vita just to get this one and I'm not really contented with it I bought the First Ed. Bundle and the Assassins Creed bundle. Sold them both. and I'm happy with it, I'll stick to the 3DS for a while. :Dthank you for reading!

I have been debating whether or not it would be a good idea to purchase this console. I still have and love my Nintendo DSi XL console, but due to the touch screen no longer being able to respond to my stylus, I wanted to get another DSi to replace it. Then i figured: why not get a 3DS XL instead? While I have read the reviews and played with the 3DS demos at various "brick and mortar" stores, I had decided not to purchase anything for the time being until.....this system came out! The 3DS XL in Pink and White! I've had it for 2 days now, and I can hardly put it down! One of the things I love about Nintendo, is that there are a vast number of games to choose from and there is something for EVERYONE! The 3DS XL is much lighter that the DSi XL and feels comfortable in my hands while playing. I had to transfer my DS games that I had on my SD card from my old DSi to this new system. I am happy to report that ALL of the games can be played on this new system! Thanks, Nintendo! The games will not play in 3D though, which doesn't bother me at all, as the 3DS has some awesome 3D games that make this system so much fun to play with! The XL screen makes viewing the games and content really easy on the eyes. The fact that you can stream Netflix onto the system was an added plus to the already cool stuff it can do! Don't get me wrong, I still love the older DSi system, but there is so much more you can do on the 3DS!

I actually got this bundle from Gamestop because there was not preorder option on amazon. This is a very beautiful console. I love Fire Emblem Awakening and was really excited for it since it was announced in Japan. I spent about 70hours on this game and I am still enjoying it. You can find reviews about the game itself on the game's page.The pros:It's a 3DS, so you can expect the excellent library for the system when you're done with the game.The included game is excellent (and yes I'm a total fanboy of the game.)The included SD card is 4gb instead of the regular 2gb ones found in the other 3DS (standard.)The cons:It's a 3DS and not the XL. So if you have large hands, get a 3DS XL and buy the game itself.Minor complaint: The game is preinstalled so you don't have a physical copy to gaze upon later (if you're a collector.) unlike the Japanese version, which had the game cartridge included.Other Notes: If you live in Europe, you might not want to get this as a 3DS XL version bundle has been announced for an April 2013 release (Probably XL version because Nintendo is sorry that it took a year to bring this excellent game to Europe.)

I don't know why Nintendo releases the "same" holiday bundle two years in a row. Did they run out of the ideas? Maybe, or it was a huge success they want to repeat it this year. Either way, you would expect the same if it's not better this year but that's not the case. At first glance, the two bundles look almost identical, the same flame red console with the same game included but the close examination will tell you this year's offer is significantly worse, here is why.1. They remove the charging cradle from the package. Well the cradle is not required to charge the battery, but still it's a nice accessory, now you have to purchase it at $19.99 if you want one.2. The Super Mario 3D land game is "PRE-INSTALLED", which means you can only play it on YOUR console, you don't really own the game. Your family or friends can't borrow the game from you unless you also loan them the console, and of course you can't trade the game once you get tired of playing it since you don't have a physical copy.So if you are looking for the festive holiday bundle, get the last year's version if you can, at least you will have a nice charging cradle and a real retail copy of the Mario 3D land game with case and cover art.UPDATE: Nintendo is phasing out the old 3DS packages , the current 3DS models in the market no longer have the charging cradle included. So it seems unfair to single out this one for lacking the cradle, therefore I upgrade it to 4-star.

Size: 10 I love the larger screens. It's so much easier to see things.The weight feels nice in the hands.Paint finish : 10 Love the matte finish. It's not a fingerprint magnet and it's more scratch resistant.Controls: 9 Would have liked that 2nd Circle pad, but the new SELECT, HOME and START buttons make up for that. They feel easier to press. Touch screen is superb as always.Battery life : 9 It has improved a little bit but not as much as I would have liked. Would have liked 8-10 hours.Sound/mic : 8 I haven't noticed much difference between this and the normal 3DS' speakers and mic.Camera: 8 Again not that much difference between this one and the normal 3DS.3D Effect: 10 Superb, looks even more dazzling on the larger top screen. The 3D slider seems easier to control.The hinge :10 This one is a lot more sturdy the the normal 3DS.Internet connectivity : 10 Just as good as the normal 3DS. HEH I'm typing this review using the 3DS XL.Lanyard /charm loops : 10 They are bigger then the ones on the normal 3DS, wich makes it easier to loop straps or charms on.The color : 10 LOVE the soft rosey pink and white combo.I got mine cheap at Gamestop because I traded in my old blue DSi.All in all I'm very happy with my purchase.

Limited edition systems are great ways to show how much of a fan you are. This one does that with a metallic blue paint job that is very spiffy looking, with unique Fire Emblem artwork on the front. It's a standard 3DS, not an XL so it possesses all the strengths and disadvantages between the two systems. Those wanting a sharper screen, will gravitate towards the regular, but those wanting the larger screen and not have cramped hands will choose an XL.Fire Emblem Awakening is pre installed on the 4GB Samsung memory card included. Fantastic game in the series, though newcomers will find it very challenging, if not rage inducing if you play in classic mode where your fighters if lost, are lost forever. Brutal indeed.It's a nice system, and hosing it for one of the finest 3DS games is a nicety.

Incredible combination of colors. Sadly, after I accidentally dropped the XL its pink paint chipped. Please, for the sake of such a beautiful console, get a case and don't drop it.The 3DS XL's dpad is now my favorite d-pad of all time. Because of the system's size, the d-pad is a lot better placed than the original 3DS' placement.The low pixel density is only noticeable when shrinking the home menu app size, I find. Others will notice it all the time, but it does not bother me.Overall, this might be my favorite redesign of an original Nintendo system ever. It's a great value!

We have smartphones and PS Vita, but nothing can beat the 3DS in terms of sheer fun. From the included Super Mario 3D Land (which is stored on the included 2GB SD card) to all the creative fun you can have with the system's built-in apps, the 3DS entertains and surprises and satisfies in every way before we need to purchase another game! It's of course also compatible with the thousands of DS games out there. We enjoy both DS and 3DS games, even though their graphics cannot match that on the PS Vita. The StreetPass feature whereby you exchange data including Mii's with other 3DS users must be tried.

Awesome designed 3ds with Fire Emblem: Awakening installed on it! The only complaint I have is the same one anyone has and that is that the 3DS's battery is too short, but there are easy inexpensive fixes for that.Fire Emblem: Awakening is also quite fun. Being a life time fan of turn based strategy including Final Fantasy Tactics, XCOM, and Heroes of Might and Magic this game satisfies that need for strategy and risk in a big way. Perma-death, fun characters, and a deep class system make for a wonderful colorful and complex game!

i had to pay an extra 50 dollars to buy it since it was sold out in stores, but it was way worth it. Fire Emblem: Awakening is a badass game with tons of replay value, several difficulties that make even a veteran Fire Emblem player stumble through some of the levels. The DS itself is very cool, and a unique blue color that makes my DS feel even more special.

Well, for starters the box was in great condition and actually factory sealed so it is just as new as they advertise. The console itself has been great and battery life is my sole qualm with the device. I have sunk so many hours into my friend's copy of the game and now get to go for round two. If I had the money, I would definitely buy a second for my buddy. Definitely will buy from these guys again.

My daughter loves the 3DS. She waited awhile to get this Nintendo game system because she has all the others and thought it wouldn't be much difference. But after playing one of her friends she decided she wanted it and she is happy she got it.

I previously had the normal 3DS but decided to upgrade to the 3DS XL. I waited until they finally released the pink version! It's definitely worth the upgrade. It's bigger and beautiful. The light pink and white really compliment each other. All of the games look a million times better. It also feels better in the hands than the normal sized 3DS. The battery lasts so much longer as well. If you're thinking about upgrading I would say it's worth it.
