Beware no NFC but a really excellent phone in every other way
Battery life is superb but this model does not have NFC so it can't be used for contactless payments, travel tickets or air travel. Very disappointing that any modern phone would not bother with NFC. My old Lumia had NFC and that was very old technology. Some models do have NFC but not the UK. Why?
I was going to return the phone but I am not totally addicted to it. Everything works, pretty much everywhere. And as a Microsoft phone user, this is new. One of the best things is Motorola's face recognition, so you can open the phone with face recognition and the phone recognises when you are looking at in and will not sleep until you turn you face away. I just love it and the battery life is longer than my blue tooth headphones. So no NFC , and when one comes to the UK that has NFC I will get it. Otherwise a really addictive useful , well made phone.

Excellent product and good value
I wondered if the relatively low screen resolution would be a disappointment, but in practice, I can't really see any significant difference between this screen and higher resolution screens. The phone is fast and responsive, but most important of all, it has great battery life. As a light user, I'm charging it once a week. If I go out hill walking, I know the battery will have lots in reserve even if I use GPS all day. No regrets from buying this excellent product, but do check that it has all the features you need. It doesn't have NFC or a compass which some may find a problem.
UPDATE: After 1 year's use I would still recommend this phone and at the current price of £140 it is incredibly good value.

Good phone.
A cracking phone & very pleased with it also battery life is excellent. Just moved from a Samsung S5 & this phone is better.
My only complaint is it has no NFC which I used a lot on my Samsung is why I have given it only 4 stars. If you don't use NFC then this phone is as good as the high end phones and o would recommend it for the price.

love this phone
Fed up with constantly charging i phone? buy this the battery power is awesome, no more carrying portable charger every time you go out! Seriously this lasts days without charging, only downside camera not great for closeup detail photos but I can live with that. Everything else is great and what about the price! you cant go wrong why would you you spend so much more just for the name. I am no expert but this phone does everything that I need it for. I was pleasantly surprised. My friend recommended it for me I am so glad I listened to his advise

Good choice if on a limited budget.
One of the best budget smartphones I've had. Reasonably quick with a nice clear display. The camera gives good results outdoors and is ok indoors but not brilliant.
The only criticism is that the phone feels a bit plasticky and also doesn't have a built in compass.
Overall it's an excellent phone for the money and I can recommend it for anyone looking for a good phone with a limited budget.

Excellent phone just a pity it doesn't have a compass
Excellent phone at a really good price (approx £140) with very good battery life. I am not a heavy user and tend to browse the web, watch videos and use basic apps, not gaming. This phone is more than capable to suit these needs. However, I use apps which require a compass/magnetometer which this phone does not have. I have since returned the phone and purchased a G7 plus.

Good but specification has omissions
On 10th Sept took delivery of G7 Power – UK Model XT1955-4 box date 30 Aug 2019. The spec pdf currently available for the G7 Power (downloaded from midpage on Amazon today) is for a 3Gb/32Gb (earlier?) phone and not the spec just supplied. Whilst this spec sheet also claims 5Ghz Wifi it has none confirmed by the Motorola UK web site. See clip taken from their web page today – only 2.4Ghz is shown. I can confirm though that WiFi Calling is there if the service provider (eg EE & 3) operate the service. The deal breaker for me was initially NFC (which is also missing from Motorola’s own spec) but I never thought when selecting a phone, today you would still find a current midrange phone being sold with no 5Ghz Wifi. Otherwise OK so far, but I have marked the phone 3 star accordingly.

Bought this phone as a Christmas gift for my partner who had been using a Samsung Galaxy. He is not particularly “tech savvy”, but is finding this phone very straightforward to use. The battery life really is excellent (averages 3 days). The screen is crisp, vibrant and very responsive. Not tried the fingerprint reader as yet. I am familiar with Motorola phones, as I have the G4 version which has been trouble free for many years. Just wondering if my partner will notice if I do a swap !! Still not received a text from him, but that is through no fault of the phone !!

A great phone at a great price.
This is a great mobile phone with a long battery life. The display is beautifully clear and it takes great photos. It is larger than the phone I used previously which means it cannot be carried in some jacket pockets easily. However, many phones nowadays seem larger than the old ones I have owned so it is a trend that is difficult to buck.

Good price, great battery life, fantastic for the price.
This is so advanced compared to the phones and even my iPad, that it's really difficult to comare it to anything. The only downside is possibly the size, but then most Smartphones are that size. The camera isn't great -I've seen better on other phones, but then it isn't the price of a Galaxy, Huwai or IPhone so it's hard to complain. Nice bright screen, fast actions and incredible battery life.

Motorola G7 Power
Like about this phone - This one has been the quickest & most straight forward phone to set up so far. Fingerprint security is handy, OK no more puns! On initial setup all new updates were very quick. Great camera. No problem with writing texts with my chunky unrefined fingers! Very reasonable price. What's especially nice is it's a good looking phone that behaves like a very expensive one.
What I dislike about this phone is that It's not mine! I've written this on behalf of my 16 yr old son who cannot be bothered to write a review!

Quality battery life and durability for price range
The battery and durability are quite good, a charge tends to last 2 days for reduced use (web browsing, simple social media) and generally a full day when it comes to heavy use (video streaming, playing games and the like). The specs themselves allow me to do freely what I want without issue (games and decent quality video) with the camera as expected, good but not the best, quite good for price point. I'm satisfied anyways.

Hefty battery as advertised, with normal use can very easily last 3 days without needing to charge. Heavy use perhaps just over a day but this is still much superior to other phones in a similar price bracket (and ahead of those above it!)
However the camera leaves one wanting more, this is clearly where they have cheaped out to reduce the price. Not impressed with it at all compared to other cameras in mid range phones. What the rest of the phone does though, it does well!

Incredible battery life!
I can leave this phone for days without having to charge which makes me feel pretty smug since my kids Apple phones are constantly needing charging!
Everything else works well so far, much more advanced and easier to use than my Moto G 3 which I had for over three years. If you want a good phone for an excellent price I would definitely recommend.
The only downside is occasional Moto G reliability issues, but as I said my G3 lasted for 3 years with no problems at all. And if you're one of the unlucky ones and have problems at least you haven't paid over £500 or more for an Apple or Samsung!

Extraordinary battery life
Okay so I've only had the phone for a week or so, but it does all that I want it to. The there's the battery....... This phone has extraordinary battery life! Charge it twice a week if you must.
If I have any complaint it's with the USB C cable technology, I have since found a YouTube article that attempts to list all the limitations and variants that are all using the same USB C connector - It is a mine field!
That said I find the phone does all that i want so cannot fault it.
Update - Hallelujah! I have found and tested a charging cable that works in all charging adaptors!
Amazon UK ASIN: B077464V59 works for me.

Don't spend £200+ on inferior models.
Ok, not a big review however, o e had the phone for a solid 3+ months. I am a VERY heavy phone user and I push them to their limits. This phone is awesome. Amazing battery life, fantastic screen protector and phone cover. I can now go 2 days without worrying about charging my phone with really really heavy daily usage.
Doe not provide the fastest WiFi speeds which is deffo a downside. Doesn't provide NFC but for me it's perfect.
DOES provide about 60% battery charge from only 20mins charging time.

The best battery life any phone can have.
Don't worry about the spec of this phone because once you have it in your hand you'll soon realise it stands up against Any of the higher end Android phones. Generaly half of all the specification's on top endy phones never really apply to the average Joe anyway as most people just want a phone that works well and not bothered about spec details etc

NO COMPASS
Given the GPS navigation, I was naive in assuming it had a magnetometer sensor, and therefore a compass function, which I thought was a basic and common feature on a so called smart phone. Really upset by this lack which spoils a good product even though it has its flaws including a lack of a downloadable instruction manual (well if someone else has managed to find one online please do comment). Another problem was it failed to recognise a contact already in the contacts (and actually a favorite as well which led to some confusion and embarrassment). Apart from that very pleased with the product but I think I will be selling it on for another make that has compass capability. So for me only 2 stars. For those who do not need a compass 3 stars would be a fair rating,
Been using it now for a fair time. The phone for me is totally un-intuitive, the very reverse really. What should be easy (copy and paste for instance) seems anything but. Cannot wait to junk this phone. Will not be buying another motorola.

Moto....nothing else to say. Was my first car phone back in the day
Have always bought Nokia mobiles, but couldn't find was I was looking for in my price bracket. When motorola came up, reminded me of my car phone, back in the day (1980's?) Love it
