filter had what looked like water marks in the glass would not polish out ...
Bought filter from China City through Amazon, filter had what looked like water marks in the glass would not polish out but did not notice these until Amazon 30 day return had expired. Got in touch with China City and Marumi filters but no luck with replacement or refund, would not buy off China City or Marumi filters again, be warned!!

Good filter at a reasonable price
I've used Marumi for filters for a good few years now (though I try other makers too)
The DHG (digital high grade) series is multicoated and available in lens protect, UV and CPL as well as others. I picked one of these up for the Fuji X10 which this fits perfectly (not easy to find filters for this camera) it also fits the X20/X30 models.
All feature a low profile size, lots of coatings to help reduce ghosting and internal reflections, a satin painted filter ring again helps reduce reflections, plus black ink on the outer edge of the glass filter. The "super" v the normal DHG is an additional coat added to the filter surface which helps repel grease, dirt and water/oil and it does seem to help here.
I've used both the normal DHG and Super. If you're outdoors a lot and can get the front element dirty at times the "super" is worth looking at, for most normal uses then the standard DHG is the one to go for. I've used these filters even on older film lenses (note they're just fine on film cameras too) and they do help tame reflections and flare, and in some cases can improve older lenses when used on digital bodies.
Marumi hit the spot for me as they make "good quality" filters, and the prices are not unreasonable either. A few brands out there are a bit OTT price wise, on the other hand you don't really want to use the ultra cheap makers either as they can cause issues with flare and hurt image quality. Recommended from me after years of use I've been very pleased with the quality of these filters.

Another filter ? Maybe but...
Well it has a unique function and does it well. It stop scratching the glass of your expensive lens. I pay a decent price for it and got peace of mind. You would never know it is on your lens. And I bought some for all my lenses. Job done.

Marumi è una garanzia: ho anche altri filtri di questa marca e in tutti ho riscontrato un'ottima qualità, unita sempre a prezzi più che onesti.
Questo filtro è una lente di elevatissima trasparenza destinata unicamente alla protezione meccanica dell'elemento frontale dell'obiettivo. Ho fatto alcune prove a casa e non ho notato alcuna differenza tra le foto con filtro e senza filtro.
La discussione sull'uso dei filtri protettivi è sempre un corso, c'è chi li considera inutili e chi non ne farebbe mai a meno. Personalmente non trovo alcuno svantaggio nell'utilizzarli, ma devono essere di alta qualità altrimenti la nitidezza ne risente.
Questo Marumi è eccellente e lo consiglio a tutti.

Ich habe all meine Objektive zum Schutz mit entsprechenden Original- bzw. Marumi-Filtern (DHG = Digital High Grade) ausgestattet. Marumi wurde mir vor Jahren von einem Kollegen aus der professionellen Knipsbranche :-) empfohlen. Im Vergleich zu den Canon-Original-Protect-Filtern kein Unterschied. Die Bilder sind klar und reflektionsfrei. Was will man mehr? Die Verarbeitung der Marumis ist wirklich prima. Die schmale Fassung sorgt für vignettierungsfreie Bilder im Weitwinkelbereich. Bei Telebrennweiten ist es eh wurscht. Marumi (einer der größten japanischen Filterhersteller und bei vielen Profis und Amateuren beliebt) entwickelt bzw. fertigt seit 60 Jahren Filter diverser Güteklassen (Exus ist wohl die absolute Spitzenserie). Auf dem deutschen Markt sind u.,a. anders gelabelte Marumis zu finden z. B. (Unomat, Fujiyama). Die Einschraubfassung ist sehr präzise gearbeitet, der äußere Rand praxisgerecht griffig, das Glas makellos. Anmerkung: Die Rede ist hier von den Schutzfiltern (Marumi Protect), die ich ganz klar empfehlen kann. Mit anderen Filtern dieses Herstellers habe ich keine Erfahrung.

Ich bin mit diesem Filter so zufrieden, dass ich alle meine Objektive mit ihm schütze. Dabei tut er genau das, was er soll - die Frontlinse schützen. Ich konnte keinerlei Verschlechterung der Bildqualität z.B. durch verminderten Kontrast oder ähnliches feststellen. Desweiteren ist positiv zu vermerken, dass der Filter auch sehr gut im Gegenlicht performt, wobei teilweise andere Filter, in dieser Preisklasse, unschöne Lichteffekte und Reflexionen erzeugen. An der Verarbeitung gibt es ebenfalls nichts zu beanstanden.
Falls man auf der Suche nach einem guten und günstigen Objektivschutz ist, sollte man diesen Filter definitiv mit in die Auswahl nehmen.

Ich habe den Filter für ein Nikkor AF-S 20 mm 1:1,8 G ED bestellt und muss sagen, dass ich mehr als skeptisch war. Bei extremen Weitwinkelobjektiven ist der seitliche Lichteinfall in Bezug auf Streulicht nicht zu unterschätzen. Da ich gerne einen Schutzfilter benutze, die übrigen Rezensionen recht ordentlich sind, und der Preis für einen 77er Durchmesser für sich spricht, bestellte ich ihn trotz Skepsis. Das Resultat ist, dass man weder auf dem Monitor (27 Zoll) noch am TV (4K, 55 Zoll) einen Unterschied mit oder ohne Filter feststellen kann. Ich habe dabei bewusst die Sonne im schrägen Winkel, in den Ecken, usw... mit und ohne Filter ins Bild gestellt. Alles ok. Die Bilder wurden mit einer D750 aufgenommen.
Aus diesen Gründen möchte ich eine klare Kaufempfehlung aussprechen.

Habe den Filter an meiner Canon M 6 II ausprobiert. Murami macht an sich tolle Filter, aber so billig darf er wohl nicht sein. In meinen Augen verflacht der Filter die Farben. War ein Versuch. Bin jetzt wieder bei b+w, wie schon seit Jahren.

Meglio spendere dei soldi per proteggere la lente piuttosto che imprecare per le foto non venute con l'effetto desiderato, ed è meglio farlo prendendo e spendendo una volta per un buon filtro, questo è nella media, e nel piccolo termine e tempo in cui lo provato non mi ha dato assolutamente problemi.

Ottimo filtro protettivo ad un prezzo più che onesto. Marumi non tradisce! Decisamente consigliabile a chi non vuole spendere cifre elevate per filtri di marche più blasonate.

La parte metallica realizzata con cura e abbastanza sottile, il vetro non dà evidenti interferenze sulla luce. A prima vista un prodotto sufficientemente robusto venduto ad un prezzo onesto.

Il filtro è arrivato prima del 17/02/16, è esattamente quello venduto dal venditore, prodotto Made in Japan, di ottima qualità, ben assemblato, privo di difetti, credo svolgerà bene la sua funzione a protezione dell'obiettivo in mio possesso.

buono per qualità prezzo. a prima vista sembra molto fragilino, ma per quanto l'ho pagato, non potevo aspettarmi di più. il nome è comunque la garanzia!
