Bin sehr positiv beeindruckt :o)
Endlich eine Handkreissäge die handlich ist und mit der man genaue Schnitte durchführen kann. Und - sehr wichtig - für Rechtshänder richtig herum gebaut (gegenüber der althergebrachten unsinnigen Form, wo man immer nicht weiß wie man die Maschine führen soll wenn man vor einer großen Platte steht und ein Stück absägen will). Die Makita hat einen präzise gearbeiteten Alu-Auflagetisch und ist unglaublich leise. Wenn man den Schalter losläßt steht das Sägeblatt sofort. Habe bisher 22er Multiplexplatten zurechtgeschnitten, da merkt man nicht im geringsten dass der Motor in die Knie geht wenn man ins volle Material geht. Das montierte Sägeblatt geht durch wie in Butter, die Schnittgüte ist top. Sehr angenehm ist natürlich auch, dass jetzt kein Kabel mehr stört.

Best saw ever
I'm so happy about this saw, ever cut I make it's perfect, no shredding or tearing wood.
Recently used for garden borders and it went through the pressure treated wood like a butter.

Can cut in a straight line at last. Good quality. Never needed to cut for hours on end so cannot comment on whether it eats up batteries. For a DIYer like me it is more than adeuqate

Upgraded my old saw and this is such a massive improvement.

I used 3amp for 6x2 deck joists (wet) and lasted a shift.
Auto brake is something I never knew I needed but it's nigh on instant.

How did I manage without this little Gem?
I bought this to replace my Makita 240v circular saw which died recently. I am a big Makita fan anyway and as I already had a spare 18v battery, it was a natural choice to choose a cordless saw. The saw was a little heavier than I expected but that's no bad thing in something so potentially lethal and the build quality is well up to the usual Makita standard, i.e. excellent. Every bit as good as a corded model. The handgrip is rubber backed as is the forward grip and they are very comfortable in the hand. The trigger is the usual two stage safety type, push down a spring loaded switch before the main trigger will engage. Interestingly, the LED will light as soon as you press the trigger. I thought the LED light would be a bit of a gimmick but this one is really very thoughtfully placed, it helps you see the cut line very easily indeed. I opted to buy this model over the DSS611z because it has the very handy dust blower and again like the LED, it really does work and very useful it is too. The other feature you get over the 611 is the little toggle which lets you tilt the saw beyond 45 degrees, not a lot of use to me but handy to have I suppose. Height adjustment and angle adjustment are easy with conveniently placed thumb screw in the case of the angle and a lever for height adjustment. Speaking of which, the blade guard is marked with various measurements for easy depth setting and that brings me to the only disappointment with this saw, the plastic blade guard. This is an industrial tool, it will get some abuse so why they decided that plastic was good enough, I cannot fathom.
The saw was delivered on time and was well packed and I have to say I am delighted with it in every way other than the blade guard. I should have gone cordless a lot sooner and if I'd known they were this good, I would have.

What a great little saw!
This is an excellent circular saw, I much prefer it to my mains powered circular saw. The DSS610 has the electronic brake which is a great safety feature and stops the saw spinning almost instantly, unlike the cheaper DSS611, which despite being a later model number, is just a cut-down version of the DSS610. The DSS610 alo has the light and dust blower that the DSS611 lacks and these are very useful, especially in darker environments. As a right-handed person, having the blade to the left of the motor makes this so much easier to use as I can see exactly where the blade is cutting at all times. This saw is also pretty quiet for a circular saw, I've mainly used it for cutting sheet goods up to 18mm so far but it goes through like butter. It's also great that it's portable as I can cut wood down to fit in my car wherever I buy it from, It comes with a blade but no dust bag. Also remember the Z is the bare version with no battery which is great if you already own any Makita LXT tools.

Excellent machine
I use it with a 3.0Ah 18v battery. I first used it to saw some decking for making flowers boxes. Cut through it like a hot knife through butter. Started with a fully charged battery. Cut about 8 times still had 4 lights on the battery. Quiet compared to my electrically powered circular saw. It’s lighter and you don’t have to bother about extension cables or constantly being concerned with cable getting in the way. The only question is why the **** didn’t l buy it long before now😀

Solid tool, but make sure you have enough batteries.
Really nice saw. Base plate is good and solid and the adjustments work smoothly and lock firmly in place, with the default 90 and 45 not requiring any adjustment out of the box. I was expecting the have to upgrade the supplied blade, but it actually cuts really nicely and leaves a decent enough finish on crosscuts and rip cuts. It goes through 2x6s fine, though you can hear it start to bog down a little when it hits a knot so if you really push it you will be able to find its limits.
It may be that my batteries are a couple of years old now, but it goes through them pretty fast. If you were hoping to get away with one or two batteries to swap between your tools, you might want to buy an extra if you're going to be using this a lot on a job. An 18V 3Ah battery has 54Wh, so at the full 360W it'll go through that in 6 1/2 minutes of actual cutting (the same would be true of any similarly specified saw, of course). The 4 or 5Ah batteries would be a sensible choice.

eine Säge die Spaß macht, wenn man keine Führungsschine braucht
Hatte mir erst bei Amazon die DSS610Z (135Eur + Versand) und zusätzlich den Führungsschienenadapter bestellt, um dann festzustellen das der Adapter 195838-7 (30Eur) nicht an die Kreissäge passt. Da Der Versand der DSS610Z länger als erwartet gedauert hat habe ich ebenfalls bei Amazon die DHS680Z mit Prime Bestellt. Anfangs hatte ich mich gefragt warum sie mit 197 Eur so viel teurer als die „kleine“ ist war dann bei der Lieferung aber sofort überzeugt.
1. Führungsschienenadapter ist mit enthalten
2. Führungsschienenadapter ist auch tatsächlich mit der Säge kompatibel
3. Der Haken zum Aufhängen ist sinnvoller als erwartet
4. Der Preis ist relativ wenn man wie ich auf die Führungsschiene angewiesen ist hab für die DSS610 ja am Ende auch 175 Eur bezahlt ohne dass sie mit der Führungsschiene Funktioniert hat.

Sehr zufrieden, präzise und leicht
Zuerst war ich skeptisch, aber die Säge ist top. Sie ist leicht aber trotzdem hat sie genug Kraft um auch mit maximaler Schnittstärke klar zu kommen.
Was mit etwas stört ist der eigentlich spiegelverkehrte Schnittsattel. Dieser liegt mit der breiteren Seite auf dem Abschnitt, also muss man immer sozusagen von oben sägen um ein Kippeln zu verhindern. Sonst top.

Tolle Säge
Man braucht eigentlich nicht viel zu sagen. Es ist eine tolle Säge.es gibt nur 2 Dinge die ich nicht so toll finde. Das eine ist der Schutz für das Sägeblatt (Kunststoff) und das zweite ist die Seite wo die Späne raus kommt. Entweder man kann vernünftig gucken und die Späne fliegt dir in die Tasche oder man sieht den Schnitt nicht so gut dafür fliegt die Späne zur anderen Seite raus. Trotzdem Kaufempfehlung

Fantastic piece of kit.
I can't rate this circular saw highly enough. I actually chose this as I have a good few other Makita cordless tools and so obviously have several batteries that fit.
So far it has dealt with everything I have thrown at it, including cutting replacement planks to length for 3 hours of emergency fencing repairs in the pouring rain! Seems to cut through standard planks like a hot knife through butter, effortless - and that's with the supplied blade too.
Very powerful saw, have used for many fencing and yard work, left on the ground in stables and yards with no problems. It's very comfortable to use, well balanced and doesn't seem to eat through the batteries too quickly either. Has a nice self-retracting blade guard and a (removable) guide to help with straight cutting.
Probably one of the best pieces of kit I have bought in ages, now a standard part of my tools.

Considered a number of brands before I decided that Makita is a brand quality worth paying for. I particularly like that they use the same batteries across most of their power tools. This saw is lightweight and well balanced, powerful and with a good battery life. The batteries feel a little overpriced but I’m glad now that I spent the extra to get Makita quality. I made a simple jig to do mitres, which means I can wait a little longer for a chop saw. Very good product.

Makita do it again! Great saw
I bought this saw to trim all the doors in our house after having new flooring put down. With the correct blade this saw has made light work of it, giving a great finish every time so far. The atachment for the hoover is great and works well, when you remember to turn the hoover on. I've also used this for cuting and mitring skirting boards and the 45° setting is very accurate. Overall I'm really pleased with it.

Der GERÄT funktioniert einwandfrei. Toll damit zu arbeiten und endlich mal die Verlegerei des Stromkabels gespart. Das tut schon gut damit zu arbeiten. Toll auch dass die Akkus quedbeet nutzbar sind. Das hat Makita glaube ich als erstes in dieser Form durchgesetzt. Großes Lob. Meine Akkus habe ich schon viele Jahre. Da kauft man gerne wieder Makita produkte die doch dann vom preis ohne Akku erschwinglich sind.

I'm a big Makita fan; having been through all the cheaper brands - the stuff sold in the DIY sheds (always tempting because of the price, and almost always a waste of money) - I tried a couple of Makita products a few years ago, and found them robust, reliable and able to to their job without any fuss. There are more expensive brands, but for the level of serious DIY / light trade use, I think Makita or Bosch (the blue range) are the best. Since then, I have acquired various other Makita tools, and this is my latest. The 18v range is great, convenient (i.e., no cables) but with enough power to do the job. This saw is well made, accurate and just plain useful. A pleasure to use.

Easy to use and very accurate.

Utilisée avec des batteries 3Ah de ma visseuse de la même marque, pour découper des lames de plancher composite, pratique car légère .
J'aurai juste aimé que le trait de repère de la lame sur le socle soit plus précis .
