Flagship with a wow factor
Where do I begin with? I normally do not do reviews but this I wanted to review for 2 reasons:
1. I really like this phone (It is more than what I had thought I would be content with).
2. I want people to know what non chinese awesome options they have apart from the good old Samsung. In addition, G8X is made in India in fact.
In nutshell, it is a complete flagship with added wow factor of dual screen making it stand apart in current sea of all similar looking phones.
Point-wise:
CPU - Excellent. Heat - No. Performance - Excellent. Handles dual screen without any glitch.
Display - Excellent. Similar punchiness as in Samsung AMOLED. Both screens are exactly same. You get two 6.4 inch premium displays for the price of one.
Battery Life - Great. I run till evening without charging with very high almost continuous usage on dual screen. Standby battery drain is very little.
Audio - Loud speaker is very loud in apps like YouTube, but in calls speaker phone volume is low. I hope they fix it with an update.
Camera - It is a great hardware but software processing lacks with default setting. Please download 'lookAtMe' , 'FC03', etc filters from LG Smartworld. Then you get excellent images.
About dual screen:
1. With dual screen, this phone is a looker. I have only got compliments like it looks more premium that iPhone sitting on the table.. It has that rich business man look to it with the case on.
2. Not only you get important info on the mini screen on the cover, you can also pick up and end calls by pressing Google Assistant Button. Very convenient.
3. Charging with case on is not easy as you will need the bundled magnetic adapter, but it charges wirelessly with case on, even though at half speed.
4. Using dual screen is very productive. Ability to open to sites at the same time makes it work like a mini laptop & helps a lot in researching tasks.
5. The dual screen case also becomes an excellent portrait or landscape stand with any angle you like. Very cool and useful.
6. Case quality is premium.

Innovative phone from LG
I am loving LG phones. I was waiting for LG G8X since long time. However due to some problem, i was unable to purchase before. Finally, I purchased during Prime Day.
My initial impressions about this phone are positive.
Positive points
Dual Screen
Powerful multitasking
Good Video Camera
Sound quality both Speaker and Ear phone
IP 68 rating
MIL810 std
Avg battery
Powerful hardware
Negative Points
No Android 10
No future updates from LG
Heavy due second screen case
Conclusion
Overall good phone.

Great Mobile
The key feature (the second screen) for the phone works quite well, I've been finding some interesting ways to use it when playing games/doing group chat/browsing the internet/watching videos at the same time. The battery lasts me more than enough for a whole day unless I am playing games a lot. My previous phone was a Galaxy S7, so I can't judge too much about the different Android version/implementation with other phones running Pie. There were some odd UI elements I still need to get used to like the camera app. Cons: - The magnetic charging adapter that is used to charge the phone in the dual screen case doesn't keep contact with the pins as well when using the phone. It tends to pull away fairly easily towards the back side. - I do wish the lock screen can be set to a different image for each screen like you can do for the wallpaper. I'm still trying to find out if it's doable. - The case significantly narrows the size of cable that can fit into the 3.5mm audio jack, you have at the most ~5mm that could fit. These are not enough of a problem to knock anything from the rating, though, I still consider it an excellent phone. (Another review indicated not being able to charge in the case, but that should not be a problem since it includes the magnetic adapter that goes on the end of a USB-C cable.)

LG G8x is just bang-on! THE BEST PHONE UNDER 50K!
Samsung and One Plus are releasing phones one after another whereas on the other hand LG had this gem ready for sale.
The phone is IP rated 68, so for a person like me who lives in Mumbai (a city where it just rains are more frequent than ever), this is a boon. The build of both the phone and the dual-screen case is sturdy!
The icing on this yum cake is the fact that it now has upgraded to Android 10, which means loads of support for the latest apps.
The camera and video capabilities or the just amazeballs! Manual Control is the word for you! You can control quality, framerates and so much more! The ASMR audio capture mode is such a bliss to have!
The design sure does the trick and makes you fall for the phone!
The battery does allow you to stay for little over a day which is amazing for the smartphone of such power.

Quite an innovative phone with sub standard display
I am disappointed with its display, there is a tinge of blue shade everywhere, the whites look blueish white, i compared with iPhone 6 display which is much more superior than this OLED display,,, other than that the phone is great for me the battery will last from 7Am to 5-7 pm depending on usage which is good enough for me, I don’t take photos frequently so am not going to comment on that,
DESIGN of the phone is quite unique and its a head turner when the dual screen is connected , without dual screen attached it looks like a cheap phone (especially with its worst display quality)
Multitasking is the main USP of this phone along with unique looks

- Dual Screen is quite the conversation starter
- Great for multitasking, I use them for my work
- Good battery life (If you're using one screen)
- Value for money (Got it for 45k with a combination of discounts)
- Cameras are amazing (One of my colleagues who was shooting for work chose my phone over Oneplus 8 because of the manual camera and RAW mode)
Cons:
- Software lacks maturity (You can't have all apps on widescreen, there are third-party apps for this though)
- Fingerprint scanner is a little unreliable (It works great until sometimes when it doesn't)
- Weight of case/second screen (Using the second screen case is going to add quite a lot of weight. I end up removing the second screen when using navigation on long drives, etc.)
- Lack of accessories like screen protectors etc.

Great phone.
Good phone, running smoothly but finger print is pathetic. It doesn't work sometimes and battery back up is also a little bit issue bcos it doesn't lasts long whereas in second screen is in off mode also. The phone is too heavy and you must be in habit of it. Overall phone is sturdy, gorgeous and looks very premium and no lagging/hanging issue.

Best mobile i have used ever from prestigious company LG, especially dual screen facility is very new idea and works fine for daily use, and it looks awesome and attracts everyone's attention. Worst phone ever.....
Writing this after using it for 2 months. This is the worst phone I have ever used. Always lags, forget multi tasking, it is not able to do even do simple tasks. Hating it after spending 55K on it. Also regretting the price drop.

This is a very good innovation phone by LG.
This is a amazing phone with multitasking capabilities with dual screen functionality its make my tasks so easy. Also best part is i can attach/detach second screen very easily. No doubt its a very innovative and impressive smart phone. Now let me come on the performance during purchasing this phone there was a confusion in my mind that with two screen capabilities it will impact phone performance but i must accept LG proved me wrong. Performance is very good, camera is too good also sound quality is awesome. Overall for me this is a complete phone.

I liked this phone very much, I got the latest update of Android 10 that is really great.
I have LG TV with think OS so I can easily cast and watch the pictures and videos which is taken from it. The dual screen feature is awesome there's no lag of performance. Multitasking is really good. Battery is too good. I'm really happy with this product.

Unique big screen experience
Usefull but minimal software enhancement over regular android. Dual screen attachement is quite fun and useful. Camera quality is good and you wont feel any need for more camera. Battery life is excellent even with dual screen attached.
Dont expect any software update as my g8x is still running android 9 at the end of july20. Received only 1 monthly security update till now.

So far all aspects of phone are good. Only complain is the finger print reader which is a bit slow.
The phone seems to be aptly priced given that it has IP68 protection, wireless charging and with the extra screen provided. As in general the onl the extra screen for replacement would cost 10k+.

Phone is really good even without the dual screen. That said, software and software support can be improved. I'm having signal strength issues that hopefully can be solved by LG Service.

Overall a great tech with lousy fingerprint scanner
A superb tech to have it with you in 2020. Rated 4 stars just because of bad fingerprint response and not so good sound(i mean volume is not so loud). Half of the time it does not work. Rest all works perfectly fine and I am happy to have this phone.
