Fantastic microphone & priced well below its value! I say this because i have various mics in my locker & for almost a year i have been using a modded RODE K2 (Mods cost me over 450 eur - So just this mic has cost me just under 1000 Eur to get it sounding on par with industry standards). I also have the Neumann TLM103 which i also paid over 1200 Eur. The Lewitt LCT 440 sounds almost exactly the same as my RODE & just a little bit brighter than the TLM103 - FOR UNDER 250 Eur!!!! Absolutely a well engineered, perfectly manufactured piece of hardware that even seasoned professionals should have in their collection.

i was looking around for a decent microphone for my studio setup and kept coming back to this one.The quality is incredible and crystal clear.I use mine mainly for vocals.If I were to give a con it would be not on Lewitt but Amazon.The microphone was initially priced around the $300 mark.Then it shot up to 450!It seems kinda unfair considering the ongoing price in the US was 269.Anyways, I highly recommend this product!

This is an excellent product that I bought after considerable research of reviews on the internet. It works exactly as expected. While it works very well for vocals, it is good for any acoustic instruments. It is very robustly constructed and comes with an excellent shock mount and ingenious pop filter. Strongly recommended.

This is one of the best microphones I have ever used, and it easily pairs up against the more pricey industry standards. While I use it primarily for voice over work, it also does a great job at vocals and instruments, and can be used in just about any studio. It has a rich bass response and manages to give a boosted treble without any harshness to the tone. This quickly became my primary VO mic, and I have yet to have any issues with it. It has an incredibly low self noise (7db) and is incredibly sensitive. It will pick up my hard drive disc on my laptop, not to mention the computer's fan if I have them in the same room. I highly recommend the 440 Pure, and can say with certainty that it holds its own against the big names like Neumann and Sennheiser.

This mic is a bonus for those who have been told they either have a "unique" voice or a naturally "pleasing" voice. It takes the things that make those voices what they are, naturally pleasing or unique, and it records them with the accuracy of a microphone 4-5 times the price. This is a simply phenomenal microphone. If you are confident in your voice or if you have a voice that is your "product" this all around mic that should be your go-to for a long time.
It picks up nuances and characteristics and easily outclasses anything in the $250 range. I'd say this beats everything to about $800 and then I'd look at the 540 Subzero by Lewitt (which s $700).
To explain... a lot of microphones, like the SM7B, have a "sound" that the microphone applies to a voice. It's almost like a filter. If you have a unique or natural voice and you use a microphone that applies it's sound signature you'll find that you ruin the voices natural gift. This microphone delivers the original natural sound beautifully, hence the "Pure" designation.
So, if you are beginning your professional journey into audio (podcasting, voice-over, or music) and you have a voice that is your "signature" this mic is for you. Period. This microphone will serve you deep into a professional career and you will be hooked on Lewitt.
Also by the way... many people think that they don't have a "good" voice; in actuality they have a beautiful signature voice, but it doesn't match the imaginary 'perfect' voice in their head. Love your voice, find something to say, and give it to the world unfiltered.

Good mic. Airy yet warm. Good shock mount - I like that the part that "grabs" the mic is rubberized. The included magnetic pop filter is just absolutely awesome - working with those goose-necked clamp on pop filters can be so frustrating and clumsy.
This is a no-frills mic with the goal of getting you the very most bang for your buck. No multiple pattern switches or filters. No back/front figure 8 recording available - just an attempt at the best basic large condenser for the price.
I'll add that I bought this mic along with the sE4400, which occupies the same general space - a large vaguely AKG 414-ish condenser. By design, after listening to a lot of mic shootouts to compare mics and looking at what I could afford, I paired these two in my purchase because of their bang-for-buck and different characteristics. I found that the airy LCT440 and the warmer, darker sE4400 both give me good material out of the mic (with proper mic technique of course) but do a good job getting out of each others' way prior to any EQing on my part. I found that with the se4400, it was an additive process - choose what you want to boost in the upper range. With the no-frills LCT 440, it's going to give you everything it can and it is up to you to subtract in the eq. Generally, that's my impression.
The whole LCT lineup, from the samples I listened to, look and sound excellent. sE seems to be doing a worse job at getting samples of their mics out there and marketing in general, but they seem somehow complementary to the LCT lineup. I was tempted to get the T2 instead of se4400 on the sE electronics side and the LCT640 or even LCT940 on the LCT/Lewitt side, but my budget vetoed those options. One wonders what might have been. Anyway, again, from my research, looks like LCT makes great mics, Their lineup has a bunch of mics that will try to give you the absolute most they can for your dollar as well as some mics with very interesting extra features.

One other way to go would have been just to get one of Lewitt's combined Tube/FET mics - the LCT940, they may have others - and just switch back and forth between tube and solid state instead of between mics. That'd be convenient for someone with little space, who travels, or perhaps wants to just get one expensive good goosneck boom mic stand and use one microphone without a lot of hassle switching mics or with switching mic position.

I've been looking for a good value condenser mic to add to our studios. We do voice-over work for commercials and talk radio programs. I don't like the idea of paying $1,000+ for any of the "Big Name' microphone so I was very happy to find the Lewitt 440 Pure. Several of the YouTube reviewers that I trust have rated this mic highly. The comparison with the venerable Sennheiser 416, a highly rated mic for voice over, really got my attention too. I'm also starting to see this mic being using by major podcasters such as Candice Owens and Glenn Beck.
I received the mic about a week ago and immediately put it to the test. I LOVE the sound. A nice warm low end combined with very smooth articulation. Also included is a very solidly built shock mount and several pop filter solutions. The microphone itself is build like a Sherman tank. Solid metal construction and good looking.
Hats off to this company. They've combined an insane amount of quality with a reasonable price tag.

This mic surprised me a lot. I have not expected such quality for so low price. My primary use case is voice recording in my home studio, and for many years I've used SM7B and RE20. This one is different for sure. Completely different sound, very crisp and detailed. At the same time, this mic is friendly for a relatively noisy home studio. Self-noise is almost none, and the cardiod pattern helps to capture only in front of the mic and not all sounds around. In fact, this mic capturing less noise compared to my SM7B and RE20.
The proximity effect is very pleasant too. The shock mount ok, plastic by feels sturdy enough. The pop filter is not the best but does the job. The mic is very compact and lightweight but feels solid at the same time.
Generally speaking - this is an amazing piece of audio equipment and I really glad to have it in my studio.

I collect mics like other people collect expired yogurt containers (don't @ me... it's a thing!) and recently stumbled across a bunch of reviews of -other- mics they were comparing to the LCT 440 Pure. I was intrigued and figured while its not the cheapest mic around, it isn't in the $500-$1000 range, and worth a try to see if I might have a use for it in my studio.
It arrived the other day and as folks have said, its gorgeous and built like al little tank. So I pulled a cable and plugged it into my mixer and the first thing I notice was was the background noise - virtually nonexistent! I had read it had a low noise floor, but now its making me wonder about other (more expensive) mics in my locker, since this one disappears when you stop talking. The next thing I noticed was that unlike some other condenser mics I have (more expensive models from well regarded Japanese companies) the off-axis rejection of this mic is amazing... A couple of spots in my studio could use some boosted sound proofing, and in those locations I hear a lot of room and ambient and mechanical (computer fans, etc.) noise, which I can later tweak away, but the LEWITT LCT 440 PURE sounded like it was in a professional sound booth... Virtually no background noise picked up, but super sensitive to my voice. And with my voice the sound is sweet... A little boost creates some nice presence and I love the proximity effect with this mic (I can pretend I have the "pipes of the gods"). And the sound of my acoustic guitar through the mic is more natural than any other mic I have (including some small diaphragm condensers designed specifically for instruments.)
Obviously mics are personal and as they say, YMMV, but I wouldn't be surprised if my LCT 440 had a twin brother real soon.

I would put the Lewitt LCT 440 Pure against ANY $1000 mic on the market today. Great frequency response. Sounds AWESOME for voiceover. No self-noise. Stylish and sturdy. Great quality shock mount, magnetic pop filter, and windscreen included. I absolutely love this mic and I am very happy to have it as part of my arsenal.

I first bought the LCT-240 it was Ok, but then I thought what would I gain with the 440, well a lot more than I expected. I sent the 240 back and ordered two of the 440's. I mainly record Nylon String Guitar, and it is very difficult to get the sound I was looking for, I have a limited budget and can't afford thousands of dollars for microphones. I believe these filled the void and am very happy with the result so far. I believe Lewitt for the money gives you better bang for the buck then all the other low cost microphones I have bought and then sold that I was not happy with. I would suggest you give these a try before you spend big bucks on the high end mics you will be pleasantly surprised.

This microphone was one of many mics that I want and the few I tested. It has amazing quality for studio use (VO) and needs no gain to hear good audio from it!
But the price is a little too high for a start Mic, it also has a lot of features to justify the price but this is more of a microphone you should get when you are more confident with what you are doing!
I have the AKG 420, and compared they very similar to the untrained ear! My plan is to get this microphone when I have more money!

I can't give you a huge run down like the other excellent reviewers already provided. Read those. You'll see they are remarkably consistent. That says a great deal about the quality of the mic.
Prior to retiring I had purchased a mic to help produce training sessions within my company. It was a podcasting XLR mic from MXL microphones. It did okay, but wasn't anything to write home about.
Recently I decided to start a podcast. No matter what I did the output from my mixer was both noisy and a bit harsh. I have a fairly mellow, calm voice. Not rich. But a good, dramatic baritone that's easy on the ears. But my old mic lost a lot of the richness. Worse, I had to crank up the input gain on my mixer. And up goes the noise.
Switch out the mic with the Lewitt 440 Pure. Only that. Wowser!! I had to cut the gain level to about a third of what it was with the MXL mic. And just like that the noise faded into the background. Suddenly, my voice jumped to the forefront.
But be forewarned! You will need to practice with this mic. If you don't already know good ways to use the mic to avoid plosives and keep from overdriving it, then practice with it pointed to the corner of your mouth. That allows you to be close enough to increase the "presence" of the mic (the richness of the sound) without needing to fight plosive distortion.
In a nutshell, this will dramatically improve the podcast and various recordings I will do with it.
So go out and enjoy using this mic. It's a joy to use and listen to the resulting recording. Enjoy!

The LCT 440 Pure is amazing! This is my first microphone, with which I sing. I can say the build quality of this thing is very professional. It's not spectacular, nor will it stand out like a sore thumb, but I can say it will match whatever enviroment you place it in.
The sound quality is terrific, although it has a slight equalizer downcurve to the bass end of the frequency response, it is capable of grabing sounds as low as 20 hertz. I love this microphone, I was going back and forth between the Rode NT1A and this mic and I'm glad I chose this one! If you are debating about buying it, just do yourself a favor and look no further, this microphone will surpass most people's needs and desires.
If you are new to microphones or want the ability to connect it to your phone, just know that this is a condenser microphone which requires +48V phantom power. There are many interfaces on the market that will grant you the phantom power ability as well as a 3.5mm mobile.

Лучший майк за такие деньги, я заказал почти год назад, проблем никаких не выявлено, до сих пор выполняет свою работу отлично, хотя используется почти каждый день. За такие деньги лучше купить его, чем тот же Rode nt1, тут звук будет лучше чем у роуда)
На озоне видел такие микрофоны по 20к висят, не ведитесь, это паль) такой микро дешевле чем 33.000р никто продавать не будет

А теперь серьёзно.Микрофон такая вещь что её надо рассматривать в сравнении ,за спец. обзором идите на другие сайты, но вкратце в его весовой категории есть AT2050 P420 и NT1a, где собственно 440 показывает очень хорошо .У него не так много верха как у nt1a ,зато серединка даже более приятная,что в целом проверено в студийных условиях.Я вижу его хорошим универсалом (как наверное и все микрофоны в этом сегменте),он очень хорошо себя покажет ,если у вас чересчур резкий тембр, Lewitt его смягчит,сделав даже глубже.Для инструментов он тоже подойдет,единственное не рекомендую его ставить как кабинет ,больно коробки много дает.

Покупал микрофон для записи хип-хопа, в целом радует, но под определённый голос подходит, это всё вкусовщина. Буду тестить его с различными плагинами и смотреть как он может еще раскрыться. Под него можно и зачитать и пропеть, поэтому на мой взгляд он универсальный.
