Would recommend to save the planet :D
At first it had a metallic taste even after a washed it, but I thought that was just because it was new.
After a few uses it is fine, doesn't leak and is the perfect size for going out and about.
The wide mouth is also a good feature that helps quench the thirst.
Solidly built, would buy again. :)

The best you can get
I use mine for carrying extra drinking and cooking water when I go hiking and camping with my daughter. These bottles are a tough, reliable, user-friendly, and above all; clean method of carrying water. We also have our smaller klean kanteen bottles for drinking while on the move and our water always tastes as it should, as opposed to the plastic taste you can get with other vessels. In my opinion they are well worth the tiny bit extra weight, bulk and cost. I highly recommend!

Great product
Very pleased with this purchase. The 2l might be a bit too big for every day use for work, home, gym but it keeps me drinking water throughout the day. In terms of keeping water cool - great job. There is a slight metalic taste when you put your lips to the can, however the actual water inside taste fresh so no problems there. Feels very durable and long lasting.

top marks - an excellent quality item
outstanding. top marks - an excellent quality item. For the very high standard of quality, the price is reasonable. Just a note: i wanted to sterilise water in this kanteen over fire, however it is apparently very difficult or maybe even impossible if you're not trained in blacksmithing to hang this pot over a fire. I had to place it on the ground inside the fire, but it certainly does the job. It's not cheap, admittedly, but then the quality of outstanding.

My favourite canteen!
I have used this Clean Canteen on every single outing since I bought it a few months ago. I boil my brews it in all the time and it remains super easy to clean and odor free! Love it

Excellent beast of a canteen.
Can't fault the build quality as this is made of food grade stainless steel? The wide neck is very useful for poring and drinking. Only a couple of negatives; it is a beast of a canteen with these dimensions. It dominates your rucksack when full effecting balance wherever it is placed.

Excellent quality water bottle
Excellent quality water bottle. 1100ml so big enough to carry a days water for work. Wide mouth easy for ice cubes and it possible to drink from it without spilling if careful. There is a seam on inside running vertically so bottle is perhaps resistance welded? rather than spun or extruded? Anyway would not use it to heat water over a fire personally. Product is designed in USA but manufactured in China but as I mentioned quality is top class.

From chemical to chemical
For a "klean" canteen it needed a lot of washing to get rid of whatever chemical the interior was treated with; also, it probably reacts with the chlorine in the tap water because it smells worse after washing without soap. But it does what it is supposed to do and it appears rather sturdy, so I have nothing to complain about.

Great Water Bottle
Great water bottle which is leak proof! Easy to hold / fill. Wide mouth is great if you want to add ice cubes / lemon or cucumber. very stylish looking too. My Sister commented on how nice it is. Highly recommend.

Bought one few months ago cause I drink a lot of water during the day and I hated using plastic ones again and again. So I was so satisfied with my purchase that I bought another one for my girlfriend. She uses it all the time.

A must for every person to buy to keep healthy.
This was one of my best ideas to buy. This product is a superior item and delivers everything it said. I am impressed at the quality and there is no after taste like with some other metal containers. Would recommend everybody purchase one as plastics are deadly to you and the environment, fact that most people and the companies making money off them don't like to admit.

Great bottle. Does have a bit of taste but not in a worrying or unpleasant way. Very large though, quite hard to hold and pour unless you have reasonably big hands!

Nice big ass canteen, it really is pretty wide and there is little to no aftertaste of metal. The loop cap seems sturdy and probably wouldn't open in a bag, but in the user manual they've specified that i could. Anyway, this is a good container.

Not worth the hype.
Really not happy with this at all. Paid £26 for this based on the fact that Klean Kanteen is supposed to produce brilliant products and has 5 star reviews but so far, it's extremely disappointing. I bought it to make sure I drink more water but I dread drinking from it and feel sick every time I do. The smell inside this flask is disgusting. I've washed the flask out numerous times and I just can get it to go away. The longer water is left in it, the worse it gets. Having had other flasks, I know it isn't coming from the water. It's like a deep fat fryer smell which also affects the taste of the water. It's stainless steel so is not supposed to retain smells and such and I've only ever had water in it. I really don't know how this got 5 stars. I'm going to try a baking soda soak inside and if that doesn't work I'll be requesting a refund. Very disappointed.

All bad. Repeated e-mails to Klean Kanteen asking for advice ...
Bought following claims this was a healthy contaminate-free drinking bottle alternative to plastic or aluminium. Having followed all the first-time cleaning advice, after a week it still had a very strong metallic taste. There are many similar reports on the web of this (from all stainless steel bottles, not just Klean Kanteen). The company's own advice is to clean it in a special way (using baking soda or vinegar) each time the metallic taste appears but - look - this is the only drinking bottle I've had that has every actually left any unpleasant taste. I bought this specifically to be contaminate-free and I'm now left wondering what metals are in my water from this in sufficient quantities that I can actually taste it. Chromium? Nickel? All bad. Repeated e-mails to Klean Kanteen asking for advice and information on *why* there was a metallic taste were either ignored for received the standard "use baking soda when it tastes metallic". They don't know, don't care or want to ignore it. Great. Not healthy at all - don't use if you're buying for any health reason.

Buy Quality
Quality bit of kit at a good price. I plan to use this when cycle touring. It is a nice sized reservoir for back-up water that I will carry in my panniers. The best thing about this is that there isn't a coating inside, so nothing to peel off, unlike my Sigg bottle.

I already had the bigger size canteen for camping/hiking and was so impressed with that, I bought the 800ml to keep in work instead of using plastic bottles/cups.
Really high quality and I expect them both to last a very long time.

I love love love these! I bought two, so I can take a couple of drinks or smoothies into work with me. The steel cleans up easily and keeps the drinks cold and fresh. Plus the lids are really reliable. In the past I have had bottles that leak easily, but these are super secure which I love.
