Very very good value
For under £60, this drive is magnificent value. Coming in at around 3200mb/s it doesn't reach the full PS5 speed requirements, but it is recognised and allowed to be used by the console thanks to its pci-e gen4 spec.
The drive is also very reliable in 10gb nvme enclosures, I'm using it this way for the iPad pro and so far, so good with zero file corruptions or issues.

Not officially compatible or fast enough but working on PS5.
Read online that this would work in the PS5 so I thought I'd give it a go.
PS5 complained it wasn't fast enough when I installed it but let me use it anyway.
Horizon Forbidden West, Doom Eternal and Borderlands 3 tested so far with no issues in performance or loading speed.
PS4 games are just fine on it as they don't require the super-fast storage Gen4 NVME can go up to.

Additionally, as long as you stick with a known brand you should be good. This drive is compact and easy to fit (almost like installing RAM, it just clips in). Format the drive after install and you should be good to go, with read speeds of 3000 and write speeds 1500

I grabbed a cheap enclosure
And it is now my primary "robust" backup device. This and a USB stick keep my file integrity strategy in sync. Highly recommend and fast as lightning with a good enclosure.

Good speed at a good price
PLEASE NOTE: This NVME was tested in an EXTERNAL enclosure and so all speeds are on that basis. When fitted internally all speeds are typically much faster.
With reference to the CrystalDiskMark speeds: this drive performed either equal to or better than other branded NVME drives that I have tested. I will restate that the benchmark speeds quoted are from an external drive. Therefore these speeds are lower than one would get when the drive is installed directly on to a compatible motherboard.
So, overall this is a competitively priced NVME from a reputable brand. Not the fastest but certainly not the slowest. Well worth purchasing and definitely recommended.

Nice and compact
Not much in it now days with drives like this it’s all down to price point In most cases unless you looking for a drive to put in a console or super high spec machine. For every day use this is fine especially in restricted spaces. Details and specifications are well published so you know what your getting without much fuss

Great for extra storage
Very good for the price, a definite purchase for extra storage or an upgrade. Didn’t get the full advertised speeds of 3000MBs only got just over 1500MBs but was using a PCIE 16x adaptor, it was still 3x faster than my SATA SSD so very very happy! No issues with windows 10, detected immediately just needed a quick format. Would recommend.

this is the new nv2 series ssd from the brand kingston, it has 250gb capacity, nvme m.2 with pcie 4.0 specifications
it’s single sided, very thin, perfectly fit for laptop, tablet pc and external ssd enclosure
it’s an entry level nvme which has maximum 3000mb/s read and 1300mb/s write speed, but that’s already 3-4 times of my old ssd performance, it’s a good performance upgrade with a budget
i’m very happy with this product, would recommend

Since you can unquestionably benchmark hardware, I suggest looking at several reviewers' benchmarks and checking what hardware they ran it on to see if yours is similar—my benchmarks are with an MSI Tomahawk B450 motherboard and Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. Oh, and the 1TB model. (See attached screenshot, double-tested for accuracy.)
Let me list some data from Kingston's datasheet for this product, as this listing states accurate information only for the 2TB model.
Sequential Read/Write speeds for models:
250GB – 3,000/1,300MB/s
500GB – 3,500/2,100MB/s
1TB – 3,500/2,100MB/s
2TB – 3,500/2,800MB/s
On paper, these are some of the best speeds I've seen for NVMe SSDs that don't have a DRAM cache and are under $60. However, note that this is just the datasheet Kingston provides; real-world use can vary based on your hardware and how good your NVME lottery pull was. My writes were better than listed, but I have worse read speeds. Typically for better results, you'd have to spend over $67.
Endurance/longevity:
250GB – 80TB
500GB – 160TB
1TB – 320TB
2TB – 640TB
Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF): 1,500,000 hours or 62500 days or 171 years
This data means, according to Kingston, you can fill and delete the drive 320 times before the drive fails, regardless of which size you choose. These numbers are pretty miserable, as I expect nearly double the endurance for modern drives. However, it will still last most people until they upgrade to a better PC many years into the future. On the bright side, the MTBF is much higher than I expected.
Let me list some data from Kingston's datasheet for this product, as this listing states accurate information only for the 2TB model.

Affidabile, veloce ed economico
Ho preso questo disco NVMe M.2 (taglio 500GB nel mio caso) per sostituire il disco interno del mio laptop che ne montava uno da 256GB.
La sostituzione è stata semplice in quanto il mio PC, un Lenovo T470, ha a disposizione il manuale per il service e i dischi sono ben accessibili.
Dal punto di vista del riconoscimento da parte del sistema ho avuto un piccolo problema in quanto il sistema in avvio ritorna un errore 2100: Detection error on HDD0 (Main HDD).
Ho quindi proceduto al reset delle impostazioni del BIOS e da quel momento in poi non ho più avuto alcun problema.
Purtroppo con questo PC non riesco a capire le vere prestazioni del disco. Il mio PC infatti non usa tutti i canali disponibili nel protocollo PCIe ma si limita ad usare due tracce.
Anche con questa grave limitazione dai benchmark che ho fatto il disco riesce a spingere a 1.700MB/s in lettura lineare e 1.400MB/s in scrittura sequenziale stracciando letteralmente il disco precedente (il Samsung MVMe in dotazione che si fermava ad una velocità di 1.100MB/s di scrittura).
Anche sugli altri parametri ho avuto dei miglioramenti malgrado la grave limitazione del T470. Penso proprio che quando cambierò il mio computer questa bestia di disco me la porterò dietro.
In sintesi si tratta di un ottimo acquisto ad un prezzo ragionevole. Tutti coloro che si trovano nella situazione di dover cambiare per motivi di capienza o per passaggio da un SSD M.2 ad un NVMe M.2 (sempre che il PC supporti entrambi i protocolli) lo facciano pure senza alcuna remora. Il prodotto è veramente buono.

I recently replaced the 1TB Samsung 981a NVMe SSD with the Kingston NV2 SSD in my Lenovo notebook, doubling the storage capacity of my nearly 4 yo notebook for less than $75/TB. Working as network storage engineer for the likes of Dell & HPE for the past 20+ years I find it simply amazing we have tech that allows for 2TB of flash to fit on a board smaller than a stick of gum?!
I did some research on Kingston’s NV2 SSD as their NV1 had a few performance issues under heavy loads. It was apparently due to the design of the storage controller. Rest assured, Kingston has designed a new controller for the NV2 and worked out those issues. From the whitepapers I’ve read it appears that this tiny SDD can push throughput in excess of 6GB/sec on a newer PC with PCIe Gen 4. My notebook is limited to 3GB due to its older PCIe Gen 3 and the NV2 hits this “redline” often when copying files both large and small. On synthetic benchmarks the NV2 smoked the Samsung 981a SSD that came with my Lenovo notebook. I’m getting an additional 1GB/ sec on sequential writes, as well as an additional 30-40% in random writes, all while having plenty of additional storage.
I’ve seen ATTO benchmarks showing the NV2 SSD pushing over 140,000 IOPS, which is simply insane compared to just a few years ago. This level of performance once required several disks or SSDs configured in a RAID array. Kingston’s new controller was designed to work without a DRAM buffer and the result is a blistering fast, yet reasonably priced SSD.
I installed my original Samsung SSD in an external USB 3.1 enclosure so I can still boot my previous Windows install from USB. I’ll eventually use it as very large mobile drive once I’ve copied everything over to my new drive.
To summarize, I simply couldn’t be happier with the Kingston NV2 SSD. I was a bit concerned over performance and durability for such a budget price, but those fears vanished once I got my hands on the NV2 SSD. After a few weeks of testing and actual use, it’s rewarding to know I made the right choice with the NV2. Hats off to Kingston for making such an effective improvement over the NV1. Hard work deserves a compliment when the finished product works so incredibly well. 👍

Bon, mais peut mieux faire!
Utilisé pour remplacer un SSD M.2 non NVMe mais PCIe M.2 SATA de la même marque (avec les deux encoches sur le connecteur) je m'attendais à mieux.
Les performances sont nettement moins bonnes qu'avec un autre SSD NVMe M.2 d'une autre marque dont j'ai également fait l'évaluation ici même, pourtant monté sur une carte mère nettement moins performante et beaucoup moins bien équipée que celle concernée par le montage de cet article ci.
Tant en réactivité de démarrage que de travail de l'OS qui est pourtant de la même mouture Linux Manjaro XFCE.
À préciser que si cet article est bien détecté par le bios et l'OS, ce dernier me lance en avertissement que ce NVMe est "inconnu".
Ce n'était pas le cas avec l'ancien M.2 SATA PCIe (double encoche connecteur M.2) et curieusement, à contrario les Greffons capteurs de l'OS en lien avec la carte mère, m'affichent bien la T° du "Composite NVMe 200".
Sinon tout baigne et je suis tout de même satisfait!
Je précise que j'ai noté la "longévité" parce que non seulement cet article est déjà actif depuis quelques semaines, mais je n'ai connu aucun problème avec l'ancien de la même marque qui tourne aujourd'hui sur une autre carte mère, pas plus qu'avec la kyrielle de SSD SATA 6 Gb de la marque, ou encore des RAM multiples que j'ai installé et utilisés depuis des lustres.
Donc je ne m'avance pas trop en mettant cinq étoiles "longévité".

Idéal pour faire tourner des machines virtuelles
Pour cet article et pour l'essentiel, je renverrai vers le commentaire que j'ai fait par ailleurs pour le produit "Crucial P2 CT2000P2SSD8 SSD Interne 2To". J'ajouterai toutefois ici qu'on est avec un disque NVMe compatible PCIe4 et non plus PCIe3, et donc offrant encore plus de bande passante et ainsi de réactivité, pour autant que la carte mère qui l'accueille gère de pareils débits. Pour ma part je l'ai installé sur une carte mère qui ne gère pas plus que le PCIe3 ; le disque est ceci étant parfaitement compatible, et offre déjà en l'état le maximum de réactivité pour les machines virtuelles que je fais tourner dessus. Même plusieurs machines virtuelles actives se partageant ce même disque offrent un répondant inégalé. Ce type de stockage trouve là véritablement une application de choix. Le tout pour un prix très correct, à peu près égal au prix d'un disque mécanique de 4To.

Lo indispensable para cualquier build de PC.
Si tu motherboard tiene un slot NV2, lo mejor que puedes hacer para mejorar tu experiencia en Windows 11 es instalar allí tu sistema operativo y aplicaciones. Es mucho más rápido que cualquier SSD conectado por SATA simplemente por el hecho de que está conectado sin intermediarios al CPU. Kingston es un excelente proveedor de memorias NV2 y ésta no es la excepción. El sticker contiene aluminio, así que sirve como una especie de disipador de temperatura (no te recomiendo retirarlo), por lo que no es necesario ponerle un heatksink con termal pad. Si tu motherboard tiene un heatsink para el NV2, úsalo sin quitar el sticker. El producto viene perfectamente empacado y aunque es sencillo, es muy funcional. Totalmente recomendable.

When I got my new Acer Predator Triton laptop on Cyber Week sale, it had already been "expanded" by a reseller to a 2 TB NVMe C drive. Due to the amount of music & movies I like to tote around, I was eager to add a D drive. This Kingston drive is an exact match for what the reseller had installed. And at right at $100, the total price for my expanded laptop was still less than the "regular price." What a treat!
Installation was simple: remove about a dozen screws, snap off the bottom of the laptop, insert the new drive and anchor it with a screw, pop the case back, and tighten the screws. I initialized the new drive with Windows Disk Management and was off to the races! So far, it's been flawless.
Pros:
- Easy to install
- Fast
- Great price.
Cons:
- None really, except I'm already wishing I'd gotten a 4 TB drive! :-D

The Kingston NV2 2TB M.2 2280 is a champ for being a well-priced NVME Gen 4 drive, while other reviewers say it may not be fully suitable for a PS5 as you might need to spend more for a faster drive, I don't believe I would notice a huge difference unless I need direct storage even so the speed of over 3 GB/S (Tested in Crystal Disk Mark) is more than adequate for PC Gaming in my experience even with the latest AAA titles, especially that I use this drive to store my Steam games, the loading times on my games are practically instantaneous compared to even a SATA-III SSD as I have zero issues as of writing this review and I had felt skepticism before buying this drive which didn't turn out to be true at all. This drive's performance even beats out my boot drive (Crucial P2) by another 1000 Megabytes Per Second in both read/write, that drive costed $70 for 1 TB, which means this drive is much cheaper per gigabyte. If you're looking for a great storage solution to store your files especially a decent sized library of Steam Games do not hesitate in buying this drive it's well worth your money whether you have a Gaming Desktop which I use this drive for, or even a laptop that you need mass storage for as well look no further.

Ich habe die 1 TB Version dieser SSD gekauft und kann mich nicht beschweren. Der Preis ist unglaublich für eine PCIe 4.0 SSD. Ja, die SSD mag keinen DRAM haben, aber für den Preis ist das zu erwarten und total okay. Meine Games laden wirklich sehr schnell, wohl zehn mal so schnell als wenn sie auf einer HDD geladen wären. Die SSD hat keine schicken Features, oder sonst was, aber tut eben genau das was man möchte für einen tollen Preis.

Tenho uma placa mãe antiga, B85m-e/br, que não lê NVMe. Tentei todas as combinações de BIOS e não lê. Até que conheci o Clover EFI Bootloader. Ele simula um boot intermediário que lê os outros dispositivos conectados, então, dessa forma, você consegue acessá-lo. Para complementar esse produto utilizei o adaptador PCI-e da Sabrent

Un buen producto cumple con todo lo que se indica en la descripción, yo le compre un disipador de calor pero en realidad no creo que lo necesite mucho, ya llevo mas de un mes con el y es muy rápido este SSD NVMe, por ultimo agregar que el envió fue muy rápido

Gute M2 SSD
Läuft bei mir im Hauptrechner. Eingebaut, im Bios ohne Probleme erkannt, in Windows ohne Probleme erkannt. Board ist ein b550 pro vdh von msi und ryzen 5 5600g. Für den Preis immer wieder gerne. Geschwindigkeiten wie von Kingston angegeben, bzw sogar etwas höher wie man auf dem Screenshot vom Crystal Diskmark sehen kann. Die befestigungsschrauben für die M2 sollten sich im normalfall schon auf dem Böard befinden.

Ottima resa per il prezzo
Anche se non è un SSD di fascia altissima fa il suo dovere.
Installato facilmente su una Asus Prime Z370-A e, con il dissipatore stesso della scheda madre, non ho avuto alcun problema di alte temperature, un massimo di 45° nell'utilizzo a pieno regime.
Lo consiglio per chi vuole un SSD ma ha poco spazio nel case per inserire un normale 2.5"

muito bom, tive algumas dificuldades pra reconhecer mas creio que não seja problema do ssd. instalei o windows nele e tá extremamente rápido, muito superior ao hd. recomendo demais

Ive been seeing the 1tb nv2 going for 45-55 and the 2tb going for 70-80 all depending where you look, and even though its not a fast gen 4 drive, this drive would be considered one of the fastest gen 3 available funny enough. I bought it as a games drive for 55 and for that price, it blows most 50-75 dollar range drives out of the water, and just like water, runs decently cool. 1 hour of gaming and max temps on my drive were 47 degrees Celsius, testing was done on a z690 pg riptide, 32gb ddr4 2933 cl16-16-16-36-48, i5 13600kf @ 5.2ghz, your mileage may vary but if you drop the nv2 in any gen3x4 or gen4x4 slot, you wont be disappointed, especially at this price!

Um excelente CxB, só senti falta de um dissipador, mas não tira a qualidade do produto, plug n play. Veio bem embalado e chegou muito rápido, como praticamente tudo o que eu comprei aqui na amazon :D

Excelente!!
O ssd foi instalado em um laptop Lenovo Legion 5I e o processo foi bem simples e breve. O processamento é muito rápido e eu pude notar uma diferença significativa comparando-o com um ssd sata que eu tinha em um outro notebook. A memória de armazenamento também é o suficiente até para pessoas que gostam de instalar vários jogos. Em geral, o produto é muito bom e sua instalação foi bem simples, recomendo!

I bought one of these Kingston NV2 drives to install in a cheapo HP Slim Ryzen 3 laptop from three years ago. Benchmark speeds are great over the original SATA SSD and now have plenty of space to dual boot Windows 10 and Linux Mint. However, these run really hot even when idle. I bought a slim copper heat sink plate in anticipation of keeping it cool in the laptop, but was surprised seeing 95 to 102 degrees Fahrenheit readings even with a heat sink attached. I have an old 1TB mechanical spinner in my desktop for storage and it never goes over 92 degrees when I'm hammering it with data. These are certainly a great value in terms of cost and performance, but I'd never use one of these without a heat sink.

Kingston is the brand u can trust on if not.buying expensive ssd from samsung or WD. This SSD is fast and its NV2 much better Gen 4 speed than NV1.. Blindly go for it.

Eccellente rapporto qualità prezzo
Un generazione 4 che costa meno di quasi tutti i generazione 3. La velocità di scrittura e lettura per me è più che sufficente, io lo uso per metterci dentro film in 4k per poi vederli sul tv, e va benissimo. Spero che arrivi presto la versione da 4tb, sempre con ottimo prezzo come il 2tb. Assolutamente consigliato.
