I was excited to have my new class 10 microsd card come in, but it quickly turned to disappointment as I started transferring files to it. It topped out at 6 MB/s and quickly dropped down to and hovered around 1 MB/s, even dropping as low as 500 KB/s.Now even after reformatting, it will hardly get to 1 MB/s. This is a terrible buy.

This is definately better than the class 2 8gb card that I had, but it's a long shot from the minium 10mb/s a class 10 card boasts. I transfered about 2gb worth of music over to the card and ths speeds started out around 8mb/s. By the time the transfer was finished the speed was around 4.5-5mb/s.

This is definately better than the class 2 8gb card that I had, but it's a long shot from the minium 10mb/s a class 10 card boasts. I transfered about 2gb worth of music over to the card and ths speeds started out around 8mb/s. By the time the transfer was finished the speed was around 4.5-5mb/s.

When the card was new, speeds were not 10MB/s read and 10MB/sec write (as specified by the official SD class rating specification [...]). Speeds were in the 4-6MB/sec range for read and write, sometimes dipping below 2MB/sec. This is not a Class 10 card.After about 3 weeks, the card began giving errors when trying to read some files off it. Subsequent reformatting and diagnostics showed the card had malfunctioned. I requested an RMA from Kingston (the RMA process was okay and fairly straightforward) and received a replacement. After one month of use, this card has now failed AGAIN, and I will be contacting Kingston again for replacement.I would not recommend this card to anyone. Instead, I recommend the SanDisk 32GB MicroSDHC Card Class 2 card. Its performance is 4MB/s write and 8MB/s read, much higher than the "Class 2" rating. It's slightly more expensive than this Kingston, but twice the space!

It will not format; it constantly gives a message that it is write protected. I filed a RMA claim with Kinsgston which is still in the works. Spend your money on a Sandisk.

Great product in Android phone. Running APPS2SD and only minimal impact on speed vs internal memory (HTC Nexus One). Patriot has one about $20 cheaper and was my second purchase. Still, no complaints.

I use this to hold personal project files on my Nokia cellphone. If I am at work or at home, I can have all of the files for a project together and available. This includes drawing files, PDF manuals, and catalogs. I just connect to the workstation with a USB cable. (Bluetooth also works, but takes longer to setup, and doesn't do well for drawing interactively.) Because the drawing files use regular disk access, this flash drive was the fastest one I could find (Class 10), and 16 GB was the largest my cell phone could handle.The cellphone with a fast flash drive is working very well for AutoCAD and Inventor drawings.

If you've been hearing the fuss over some SD cards working, and some not - this card does not (as of yet) (1/8/2011). Hoping for an update now I guess.

The higher the class the faster the speed/no brainer.....you get what you pay for. I will never buy a SD disk lower than class 10 again....
