Bought this for my Dell Inspiron 580 tower (w/ i3 Core)...it works!I was concerned when I saw it was low profile (a lot of server RAM is like this, and I was worried I'd messed up by ordering late at night)...but it's working just fine. My system is running Windows 7 64-bit with 8GB DDR3 now (was 6GB), and cooking along 'right well'. Just as expected, apps open and run quicker, and the system starts and shuts down faster, too. I ran the 'Windows Experience Index' assessment and am maxed out for the memory 'Component' section now (sorry, I can only recall it 'wasn't' up to a '7' prior to adding this RAM).Task switching is faster between windows (I run YawCam nearly constantly on this system, while using it quite often to perform routine maintenance on other hard drives for PC repair customers)...I often throw in some music (via MediaPlayer) in the background to break up the monotony, and I have noticed less lag time in every aspect of my daily routine now.Today, I 'tested' it by adding one more item--an online police scanner running concurrently, due to recent storm and fire activity in my area. Everything is doing well--Kingston is notably good RAM, and this is no different.I will remark on my growing dissatisfaction with the ever-changing, overly-complex, Amazon 'gimmmick' they call 'SuperSaverShipping'--my 'take' on 'SSS' is that, ideally, you should be a CPA to understand it's inherent complexity, figuring line-by-line subtotals with varying shipping 'packages'...it's messy at best...

It's RAM. Very low profile, Fits really easily in a case without any sort of clearance issues with a massive CPU heatsink.

First thing I noticed upon opening the box this ram came in is that it was about half as tall as other ram I have bought in the past. The dimensions described in the listing are incorrect, but it doesn't really matter as functionally it works the same.The only minor glitch I had with this ram is that when I plugged it into my server running Windows Home Server 2011 the server failed to boot. Only after I switched it to the first position (and put the ram that was in first position into second) did the server boot up. After that it ran fine. Be aware though that this ram might like to be in first position.

Remember when 2gb of ram was a lot? When it cost several hundred dollars? Those days are over. This doesn't even need heat sinks. I have two sticks of this in a headless storage box because why not? Zero problems thus far.

went from 6 G to 12 G on a gaming desktop, made HUGE difference in speed , more than I expected. and for the low price I paid, Wow !

I used this stick on one of the desktop that i was going to sell to someone that i know.System specs are...Intel Celeron Dual core 2.5 Ghz Sandy bridge 2MB L2 cache.Gigabyte H61M-DS2 (Capable up to Core i7).2 GB of this RAM (Kingston)320 GB WD 7200 RPM Hdd275W PSUCD Drive (Multi, Samsung)I put this RAM into the Motherboard, and turn it on.With beep sound, computer turned on without a problems.Installed CPU-Z to check the all the specs compared to what i have put.Windows index showsCalculation 6.4Ram 5.6Graphics (4.0 at sandy bridge's integrated graphics)Gaming Graphics 5.4Data or HDD 5.9It is pretty good budge built desktop for those of u who don't play extream games or 3D movies.2GB RAM was only $10.99... total cost that i spent for those specs are about $170.00.

I just installed it. took me 5 mins. booted up my computer and it reads it fine. :] I cant really say anything besides awesome. now im up to 8gbs of Ram! :D

Kingston Value Ram works well for my desktop with Win 7 and many programs. It's reliable and increases op speed.
