Protegge bene ed ha il tappo in dotazione che ha un filo per legarlo agli attacchi della tracolla, in questo modo si può lasciare in scatola il tappo originale. Aumenta leggermente la sporgenza dell'obiettivo ma non in modo fastidioso.
Lo uso su una fuji x10 e rispetto all'originale é molto più pratico poiché non richiede paraluce per essere installato. La filettatura combacia perfettamente e la lente frontale é molto più al sicuro.
Per quella che é la mia esperienza lo consiglio a tutti coloro che come me hanno a cuore l'ottica della propria x10.

Se acquistate l'ottimo Fujifilm Fujinon Obiettivo Pancake 27 mm è necessario prevedere una copertura protettiva per l'ottica anteriore in quanto è veramente vicina al bordo. Questo filtro va veramente bene anche se in presenza di luci puntiformi (ad esempio le candele) possono esserci dei riflessi. In tal caso ricordarsi di toglierlo. È un filtro anti UV quindi ottimo per la montagna.

ne ho comprati 3!!! uno era stato aperto anche se il filtro pare immaccolato; un altro era stato messo al contrario all'interno della scatola che dava quasi l'impressione che fosse stato imballato in un secondo momento ma, anche in questo caso, il filtro era immaccolato.... Insomma, che dire appunto.... i filtri sembrano nuovi, le scatole un po' meno.... Ovviamente le foto non ne posto perchè non ha senso visto che le ho già aperte tutte e tre, no?!?!?!?

For reference I use HOYA Super HMC UV(0) (Japan) on my lenses from 17mm wide to 400mm zoom lenses with a 77mm thread, to bad this excellent filter has already been discontinued. I bought this 49mm filter for the newly released canon 50mm f/1.8 STM that I own, since the top of the line UV filters like Canon 49mm Protector is about $30 and the B+W 49mm UV Haze MRC 010M ($27). I was skeptical to try this product since Kenko and Hoya are the same thing (same glass, same factory, same package, different name). I also own its predecessor (or is it?), the 49mm Kenko MC UV(0). Here's my findings between the two (both are made in the Philippines):
My findings on the Kenko MC UV(0) (predecessor):
- The Kenko MC UV(0) is slightly thicker than the Kenko Protector MC Slim
- The Kenko MC UV(0) looks like it has a thicker Multi-coating (MC) than the Kenko Protector Slim MC
- It's somewhat hard to clean (visible smudges).
- Price ($9)
My findings on the Kenko Protector MC Slim:
- Even though it has a thinner Multi-coating (MC) than its predecessor, It has slightly more clarity to it, slightly sharper.
- It has a slimmer frame
- It's well built
- Haven't tried cleaning it yet but, I will update soon.
Overall, both performed really well. No color tints or looseness of image quality but, I prefer this filter than its predecessor. It's a great filter for the price but, I bet it will perform similarly to the more expensive ones.
P.S. I also tried the top of the line B+W 49mm UV Haze MRC 010M ($27). What I did not like about this filer is that it has a noticeable yellowish tint to it.
Camera used for the test: Canon 6D + 50mm f/1.8 STM

I normally use Hoya UV and CPL filters and decided to try out the Kenko because both Hoya and Kenko are under the same corporate umbrella. I am definitely pleased with the outcome. I have not experienced any flaring or reflections under any circumstance of use. The multi-coating appears to be very good and I do keep it clean with a micro-fiber cloth. Though neither Hoya nor Kenko will match B+W or Heliopan for overall quality, they are significantly less money. As a bonus the Kenko is less expensive than the Hoya. That said, I have not noticed any difference between the two, so unless I absolutely must lay down the money for a B+W, it looks like I will be using Kenko filters when replacements are needed in the future. For the money, this Kenko Slim is a great choice.

No optical degradation on my Nikkor 180mm F/2.8 ED lens. Does what it is supposed to do, protect my lens.
Other note: It's not a UV filter, just a multicoated protection filter, and Kenko filters are the same company as Hoya.
No reason to buy a UV filter if you have a digital camera since UV does not affect sensors like it does on film.
Multicoating is important on a filter so it can resist flare from light sources. Forget those cheap Tiffen protectors that are uncoated, they are junk.

This is the best lens protector I have gotten yet for less than $55. Very good at not producing ghost images or flaring, even when a direct light source is in the frame. Far better than uncoated or single-coated UV filters/protectors, and I have to step up to a B+W UV filter to notice a quality difference with other multi-coated designs. Similar to my Hoya protectors in quality.
At this price, you have no reason not to get one for every lens you have just for cheap insurance.

I'm sure to catch flak for this, but I use this on my M3 to protect a Summicron 5cm collapsible, F2. I know, I know. Even the box says the filter's for digital use (LOL). I live near the sea the the salt air gets everywhere. EVERYWHERE! I ran a roll of Tri-X & Superia 400 and didn't see anything bad. I think I'll keep it on.

Extremely clear. There's quite a big difference between using a uv filter and a polarizer as a protector. I noticed no darkening or blurring of image.
The rim is pretty standard thickness. There is definitely a costing on the glass. The price is also very good.

I was surprised to find this lens protector made in the Philipplines. Very good glass. The threads are machined nicely. One thing is that it didn't seem to glide as smoothly while screwing it on like other Kenko filters but still works great. Lens hood fits over it perfectly on this Nikon 16-85mm. Recommended.

These filters do not affect image quality in any way. They are Hoya/Kenko/Tokina.

I've been using Kenko's filters for years and this slim one is definitely a good one. It makes my 18-105mm lens well protected and doesn't affect the image quality much.
