And delivered on time.

Look, it is a very nice looking filter. The coating looked good because I could hardly see any reflections looking through it from various angles.
However, I only noticed later when critically checking some of my images that my lens was very soft. (I manually focused accurately with zoom magnification and stopped the lens down). My lens was less sharp than last year. At the longer focal lengths it was worse Very depressing.
Only by accident, I swapped the B+W fpro filter from my Minolta 70-210 beercan to the 100-300 apo, and suddenly the image was sharp.
I did some more testing, and for whatever reason, these Kenko budged slim line filters affect sharpness by quite a bit, especially at the longer focal lengths. I am not sure how this filter performs on a 30mm lens or there about, but I use tele zoom lens now without a filter. Waiting for a good offer on a B+W fpro. I checked this lens with the Kenko Circular Polariser, and that was not bad. So I assume they can make good filters.

I'm very much in the former category: I keep a filter on my lenses at all times to protect them. When you're paying £1k+ for lenses, spending an extra £50 or so on a piece of hardened glass to prevent the front element from being scratched or marked seems like a no-brainer to me. It's worth also mentioning that many modern lenses have advanced coatings on the front elements which can be damaged by salty sea spray and the like, so even if you aren't likely to scratch the front, it's still worth protecting.
The image quality argument may well be true with low-end cheap filters, but this is where these filters come in: I've yet to find any loss in IQ with good quality filters like this. There are probably better filters: the B+W filters have an excellent reputation, but they're often close to £150 for larger front element diameters. Theese offer a good balance between performance and price.

1, UV: double-layer coating, the light transmittance of 95%; (also called the single membrane on each side of each plating layer of basement membrane)
2, MC UV: multi-coated UV filter, the light transmittance of 98% transmittance of UV mirror has been improved to some extent; (the contrast is obvious)
3, L37 UV: Professional with UV filter, light transmission rate of 99.9%, the transmittance of the best;
4, L41 UV: Professional with UV filter, light transmission rate of 99.9%, transmittance of the best ultra-wide-angle lens to avoid vignetting;
5, PROTECTOR PRO 1D (W): multi-layer coating to protect the mirror, the light transmittance of 99%, specifically for ultra-wide-angle lens to avoid vignetting.
6, MC-UV PRO PRO 1D UV (W): Digital multi-coated UV filter, the light transmittance of 99% devoted and wide-angle lens to avoid vignetting, with suitable digital one after another right angle, you can absorb large amounts of ultraviolet to eliminate mist and increase image clarity.
7, Kim MC the PROTECTOR: multi-layer plating touch to protect the mirror. Light transmittance of 99%, the elimination of mist, to increase image clarity. Specifically for ultra-wide-angle lens to avoid vignetting.
