Crappy Hose, otherwise great product - I should have paid attention to the other reviews
Purchased this after my 15-year old Karcher pooped out. Was very happy with my first one, but the hose on this "top of the line" unit is plastic garbage, unlike its predecessor. It's too firm (i.e. not flexible) and trying to get it back on the reel is a pain in the butt. Seems like the company felt the need to cut corners, and the hose (one of the most important features) was chosen as the target for cheapness.

Excellent for Household Cleaning
Having reviewed the specs for about a dozen machines, and having used three, I believe the Karcher K5 is probably the best electric available. The power does not seem to be significantly stronger than an older Karcher 1200 PSI which served well for almost 20 years, but is certainly adequate for almost all residential jobs. The carriage and storage features for hose and cord make transport very easy. Assembly instructions were a little difficult to follow but did not require more than 30 minutes. I have not yet used the cleaner feed container because the takeup hose is kinked and will probably have to be cut and resized. In this model, the cleaning fluid apparently is driven through the pump and hence must be either Karcher's or another phosphate-free variety. Best feature is mobility and storage.

Works well, but the gun sucks.
This washer works pretty well. I use it to detail in my one car detail shop. So the super long gun doesn't work well. I went and got an adapter so fit the ridiculous Karcher quick connect hose ends. There is no reason, other than to just have you but their products to use a style like that. I got an MTM gun with quick connect. It works WAY better for me.

Works great ... when it works
Purchased this July 18, 2018 On July 23, 2019 I called them to say that the sprayer was not working. I was told it was out of warranty, (5 days) and that the sprayer should be wrapped in rags for the winter so that it won't freeze. I winterized the unit but who has ever heard of wrapping the sprayer in rags!!! Paid $ 209. for the whole unit and they want $ 59. for the spay handle. I will never buy from them again. Used it one time!

Does Not Work
Virtually impossible to assemble as instructed - had to attempt workarounds. Once plugged in, would not turn on. Product is absolutely useless. Amazon not supporting the product is another HUGE problem -- must contact the original producer which is also virtually impossible.

Absolute JUNK. NO STARS FOR YOU!
Way way way overthought with ridiculous assembly required, and then there’s the issue of: it didn’t work.
I spent an hour putting it together only for the soap dispenser vacuum tubing not to work. There’s a dial that selects “maximum” soap that seemingly does nothing. A simple “straw test” with my mouth) provided flow of the soap and water just fine. But for some reason, whatever mechanism inside that is supposed to do that, sis not function at all.
I did spray a car down with the wand and it seemed fine, but I immediately disliked the proprietary connection, deeming any quick release attachments I’d want to use impossible.
I couldn’t have processed a return on this piece a junk any faster. Ordered a smaller, more powerful unit at half the cost.
Karcher, please stop with trying to over complicate a mere pressure washer. Keep it simple and focus on QUALITY, which this thing definitely was not.

Needs brass fittings! Leaks bad!
Why don't these things come with brass fittings. I tried a new hose, super tight, flipping it around. No good. Sent it back. I bought a Sun Joe, and bought brass adapters to go with it. Have not tried it yet.

Very POOR instructions, difficult to assemble, VERY poor Karcher support, fails to work
Setup of the Karcher K5 Premium is a horror. The instructions are terrible. Tiny little illustrations with ultra closeup drawings prevent knowing where the parts actually are installed. The instructions are TERRIBLY written. I am serious angered as the lack of useable instructions.
Calling Karcher support is a joke. After 4 minutes of recorded messages, you are placed on hold and NO ONE picks up the phone. After about 15 minutes, I find out that the 'support' number only connects you to a third party call center that could off NO ACTUAL SUPPORT. They can only relate a problem or question to Karcher so you must wait days for a reply.
I went on Youtube and did not find any videos provided by Karcher. All they have are smiley advertisement videos assuring a buyer how "easy" the machine assembles. NOT! Karcher is now on my bad list.
This machine is 100% filmsy plastic.
Update: I assembled the unit and try it out. The water was turned on and the unit turned on. I waited a bit and then squeezed the wand trigger. All that came out was weak stream pissing water. Waited till air bled out of the system. The water was adjusted but nothing changed. NO pressure! Everything was checked and again motor turned on. Same very weak USELESS stream of water.
I am 100% disappointed with Karcher and their poorly made product. Back it goes and thanks for wasting my time.

I like it BUT...
Assembly was OK .. directions could be a lot better. When working, the power was fine ... problem is - after one use, the motor/power would shut down during use - and I don't think it was because of low water pressure -as suggested in the troubleshooting guide.
The power hose connection - regardless of the "convenient " release button, is extremely difficult to attach and and disconnect - very frustrating!!
The unit is fairly heavy - but the main problem I had before returning was on the fourth use it started to leak like a sieve.. not just 10 drops per minute as allowed by the warrenty .. and not from any of the water connections. This sprung an internal leak after 3 uses .
I'm giving Karcher a 2nd chance - getting an exchange - hoping this one performs and lasts like a $228 machine should!

Worked for 15 seconds
Assembly instructions were just awful but I was able to figure it out. The graphics weren't large enough nor specific enough. Anyway, got it assembled and got ready for my project. The machine worked for 15 seconds and we haven't been able to get it to work since. I wouldn't recommend this item.

Good product, good quality, works amazing. My issue is the soap dispenser does not work (not a big deal I have a foam cannon) but wait, proprietary attachments only means you have to buy a kartcher adapter to use that too. A little expensive but if you want a quality machine I can honestly say this thing works great.

Nice washer, easy setup
I would have given the washer five stars but the base came with a broken part.
I do give the customer support five stars. I called about the broken part and they shipped me a new one the same day. I had the new part in two days. I've only used the washer once, for about 20 minutes and it worked fine.
The jury is still out on durability, only time will tell.

Great product, easy to use, good pressure.
The bayonet system is annoying since you will need an adapter for your existing accessories, but it's easy to swap things out in comparison as well.
Assembly took about 20 minutes, including the time it takes to figure out the instructions.

A good unit for the right buyer
I ordered this washer as it is electric, and I didn't want the hassle of a gas unit. Based on the item description and the product video, I expected this unit to perform well. Actually, it does perform well, it just doesn't have the power that I need. If the buyer were an average homeowner, he would probably be happy with this washer. It will work well for decks, and mildly stained concrete, but it's not strong enough to use for removing mildew from siding, or to clean dirt and grime from acreage equipment such as loaders and mowers. The unit is well made, easy to assemble, easy to move around and convenient 'cause you can plug it into any conventional outlet. Having a water cooled electric motor is very innovative and should lead to long life.
Unfortunately, a power washer is a piece of equipment that you really have to try out before you can decide if it's the right model for you. I expect I will be buying a gas-powered unit after all.

Overall a good pressure washer
Pressure washer works great for a electric it has good pressure. Some plastic connectors should be brass for the price of this pressure washer and if it was it would be 5 stars for sure.I also think karcher should include the adaptor for aftermarket pressure washer accessories with this purchase. I mean come on this ain’t a cheap pressure washer that’s the least they could do.

Power washing is my new favorite home maintenance task...
Great power washer. I love that I can switch the spray pattern on the fly. It doesn’t tip over and is easy for me to move around. We had a little bit of trouble getting the short hose that draws the water through the machine to connect to the spray hose (around the wheel). Two brass fittings had to click together and not pull apart. After 30 mins of shoving it in and pulling it out—just as we were about to give up and invoke the return process—it clicked loudly and we were done. Glad it came together. We’ve used it to power wash vinyl siding, an aluminum awning and cedar furniture. So far so good!

Quality product, highly recommended.
Great product, takes about 15 minutes to assemble out of the box. Definitely recommend looking up a YouTube video for it. Just don’t forget to secure the hose with the provided metal clip—otherwise it will keep slipping on when you turn on the water.
Also, every time you turn it on, you’ll have to hit the reset button on the wall plug.

excellent power for electric pressure washer
I bought this unit to replace my 10 yr old Karcher when it's the motor gave out. This unit has excellent pressure and water flow volume. I have used it to clean mildew stains from a brick porch and wood decking. The power nozzle really does increase the power. The hose and electric cord store nicely which is a aggravation with some units.

I read the reviews on a few Karcher models and decided to spend a bit more of a bigger unit despite there being a few poor reviews on this model. But figured for $260 it was worth a shot as I have always being happy with Karcher in the past.
I’m was so dissatisfied I called up Amazon for a refund after 5 mins of using it. Rather choose a different manufacturer as sadly it seems that Karchers arnt what they used to be. I’m thank full that Amazon gave me a complete refund after explaining what I experienced.

Stable to use, hose reel is nice
Works well day 1. Kind of a pain to put together, but not really hard. You do need a Phillips head screwdriver with a long shank for one part - mine was about an Inch too short so I had to get a new one.
Cleaning is easy, typical power washer part. The reel for the power washer hose is a nice touch to help keep the part together.
Hopefully this last longer than the last powerwasher I had.

Works well, easy to use, seems built to last.
This washer has more power than my previous one, and is nice and quiet. Set up and put away is easy due to the pressure hose reel and quick connect for the water hose. The included wands are a different take on the usual replaceable tips, but work well.
Seems decently built for this price/performance point. If it lasts longer than my last (not Kärcher) one, I'll be very pleased indeed.

Good enough for a car wash
The unit is good for washing cars, etc. definitely not 2100 psi, I’d say maybe 1500, as I used to work on pressure washers for a job. Overall it does what I want it to, it’s quiet and it beats listening to a gas powered u it for an hr while cleaning your vehicles. It definitely won’t strip the paint off a house by any means. The 25’ hose is too short. Needs to be 50’. Hopefully theirs an extension.

I’ve always had Karcher for the quality and this is no exception. I wish they had a better design for the pressure pipes and always find those a bit of a pain to store etc but the product works great.

Quiet operation.
Amazed really works as advertised . Great to power wash large yacht deck with no damage to gel coat. Forget the deck brushes forever.
