Great CPU’s for the money!!
Took me 30 minutes to install 2 of these in my 2012 12 core 2.40 GHz Mac Pro. So far working great and a higher Geek Bench than my previous processors (these faster cpu’s Also take advantage of the DDR 3 RAM). Previously I bought these cpu’s on EBay that we’re 60.00 more. Mac never started up and no startup chime...PANIC! These started up without a hitch! Nice!

Thirsty Yet Cooler
Reasonably price plus there was no need to deal with E to the bay sellers. Compared to the replaces W3530 Quad-Core it replaced. This processor is memory thirsty! But not offering much on gaming performance. For non-gaming usage it handles Windows applications at ease. The processor over all stays reasonably cooler than the W3530 during modest to heavy usage. However if PC gaming is your thing, you will truly need allot of physical RAM. In my experience 16 GB was the bare minimal. Many times the CPU load was with or at 80% and the system was transfixed. Many times freezing and suffering serious frame drops and a share of lag. All were experienced while gaming in Full Screen and Windowed mode at 2560x1440 during Ultra or max settings. I haven’t experienced a complete system crash as yet. So far Control+Alt+Delete interrupts flawlessly without complications when used during heavy processing.

Packs a Punch!
This was a perfect addition to my Mac Pro 2009 4.1 >5.1. The packaging was just right as the part was perfectly protected in shipping. There are plenty of videos out there to guide you through a self-install. Remember to take it slow and you can have a semi-tired Mac Pro punching way above its weight-class. This and as much RAM as you can afford will have your Mac Pro blazing again.

Simple upgrade
I upgraded my 2009 MacPro 2.93Ghz system to these Xenons. This process installed easy and I've had no temperature issues whatsoever. I recommend doing a full motherboard cleaning and install 1333MHz RAM modules for the best upgrade performance. Very pleased!

This processor is a beast!
Not only is it a server processor, but it's a good gaming processor! It's based off the i7-980X, and it performs like one too! Runs all games on high settings, with no issues whatsoever. Stays at a cool 30c on idle, around 55-60c gaming, combined with a DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX GT BK CPU Cooler. The seller shipped it on the same day, couldn't ask for a better seller!

Excellent working condition
I'm always a little hesitant buying used computer components, but in this case I really had no choice considering my motherboard was over 10 years old. All that said, I was very happy with the processor. It was in great working condition, and packaged extremely well. Great job to the seller.
