Принтер был куплен для печати накладных из бухгалтерской программы БЭСТ(оператор на складе). До этого исползовали HP Lj 2015 все было ОК.
Проблемы начались сразу после покупки.
У нас старые компьютеры. На компьютер Pent4 c ОЗУ 526Mb драйвер не устанавливается вылетает по ошибки. Установился на Pent4 1гб.
Бухгалтерская программа для печати документов требует поддержки PCL5-PCL6.
По техническим характиристикам это заявлено.

This is just a post to document the results of my troubleshooting with HP Support to determine the problem of not being able to auto print two-sided (duplex) pages on a HP P2055D, in the hope that it will be useful to others with the same problem. I hadn't seen anything else in my search of the 'Net that was specific enough to help me find the solution.The solution: First, the obvious: Connect the printer to the Mac via USB, etc., as per manual's instructions. Install the most up-to-date drivers from Apple for this printer. HP will direct you to do the same, as they don't host the print drivers (for Mac, anyway) on their support Web site. Reboot the Mac and printer. From System Preferences, select the facility for managing printers, and add (if the P2055D isn't already in the list of available printers or print devices) the P2055DSecond, the not-so-obvious: Select File-->Print... from the application (e.g., Adobe Acrobat). A dialog will appear. Near the top, there is a pull down list to allow the selection of the printer to send the print job. If the P2055D isn't set as the default printer (done in the System Preferences-->Printers setup dialog), use the pull-down menu to select it. TO THE RIGHT OF THIS SAME PULL-DOWN MENU IS A BUTTON CONTAINING A DOWN-ARROW. There is no text next to this little button to indict its function. In any case, press this button, and the dialog will expand to provide many print options. Within this expanded dialog is a pull down menu containing an item named "layout." When selected, this will provide you with the means to select two-sided printing. Also, when doing this also select "long binding." Not sure about the "long and short" of this option--I was just directed to do so by the HP support tech.After this is done, and two-sided printing is tested and operational, you can save this particular "layout" option in a preset. This is done from the same dialog using the Preset pull-down menu, and selecting Save As...Hope this is helpful to those who missed the obscure little button that expands the print dialog box to expose layout options, after selecting to File-->Print..., or who were otherwise at a loss of how to navigate the menus and buttons to establish this setting.Aside from the weak documentation on HP's and Apple's part to publish this information (there are lots of Mac users who seem unable to find this information on either company's support sites), and the need to deal with the labyrinth of HP's phone-based tech support, the first day of the printer's performance use has been excellent. A very nice, straight-forward, monochrome laser printer.

I bought this HP LaserJet 2055d printer from Amazon (the actual seller was LY Business) to replace an HP LaserJet 2100 model. I have submitted a request to return this new printer to the Amazon seller, LY Business of Needham, MA for the following reasons.1) Despite being a relatively new model of HP LaserJet printer, the installation disk does not contain printer drivers for Windows 7.2) After downloading printer drivers from the Internet, the printer spits out a separate two-line "gobbledygook" page for each real page printed.3) It might appear that the wrong drivers were selected from the Internet, but after having a professional technician spend one and a half hours, at a cost of $60 to attempt to resolve all issues, the problems remain.4) This printer does not print clean copies. I thought that after the first couple of print jobs the pages would come out clean but that is not the case. Even after about 50 full pages being printed, the left hand margin still contains toner "overspray".5) The noise level of this printer is, to say the least, excessive. It is nowhere as quiet as the HP 2100 model that it was intended to replace.Based upon my experience with my older HP 2100 over a span of ten years and my recent experience with an HP 2055d printer, it would appear that HP has regressed in the technology of their printers. My plans are to purchase a used HP 2300 LaserJet printer on eBay to replace my 2100 printer.12/10/2012 Update - Now that I've spent an extra $60 having a computer support person trying to get this printer to work properly and not spray toner in the left margin, and having asked Amazon to allow me to return it to their affiliate, LY Business, LY Business is now sending me all sorts of material that may - or may not - solve the issues I have with this printer. Perhaps LY Business should include this material, including Firmware updates they sent, when they send the printer to their customers. I've spent all the time and money that I intend to spend trying to get this printer work properly and all I want to do now is return it for a full refund. I'll post LY Business' response to my return request when I obtain a definitive answer from them.

I ordered the wrong printer by accident. I really wanted to order a P2055dn. I am a very busy person and unfortunetely did not get around installing it untill 29 days after receiving it. I had barely unpacked it when I noticed that it did not have ethernet port. I contacted the seller, Ispecial, to find out if this can be networked. By the time they told me no, it was day 31st. They will not let me return it becuase I was ONE DAY over the return period! Amazon customer service is not doing much about it either.Now I am stuck with a $600 printer that I can not use at my office.

This printer is a workhorse for the price. Have been using it for almost 2 years now and have had no problems with it.

I am self-employed and work alone out of a home office, providing professional services to clients. I recently purchased an HP LaserJet P2055d printer directly from HP -- on sale at an excellent price and I got an additional discount through my professional association. The P2055d replaced my 15-year-old HPLJ5p, which I gave to my wife because her Canon InkJet C600 had died -- and HP offered me [...] to trade that in (they even paid the shipping). So, it was super deal as far as I'm concerned.I wanted something similar to my old HLPJ5p, that is just a black-and-white laser printer -- I have no need for color in my business, and I did not want an all-in-one unit as I have a separate fax machine (rarely used anymore due to e-mail) and scanner. I figure that it's better to have separate machines as a problem with one will still allow me to use the others. I also have no need for a network printer such as the more expensive P2055dn, although I can still print to the P2055d from my laptop or my wife's computer through the router as long as my desktop computer is on (the P2055d is connected to my desktop via a USB cable).I particularly like the P2055d's speed, which is many times faster than my old 5p, and its ability to do automatic duplex (two-sided) printing as well as single-sided printing; duplex not only saves paper but filing space as well. The print quality is exceptional, true 1200 dpi, which creates very professional-looking output -- image counts in my business. Also, as someone else pointed out, the CE505X high-capacity toner cartridges (rated at 6500 pages) are also great -- excellent price on them from Amazon. The paper drawer has good capacity, about half a ream, the same as my old HPLJ5p. The printer also handles envelopes, letterhead, and labels easily via a separate paper feed. And the printer has a relatively small footprint, actually a bit smaller than my old 5P (but a tad taller), so it fits nicely on the cabinet adjacent to my desk.My only complaint is the difficulty I had installing the correct driver. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit, and the driver initially found and installed by Windows did not allow for duplex printing and was limited to 600 dpi. A call to HP support was not very helpful -- the tech had me download and install another driver, which was rather limited (instead of 1200 dpi, it included only high and low resolution). However, I decided to try one of the other drivers on the HP site, and after some trial and error got it running. Perfect! The correct driver file as of December 2010 is called "P2055_default_install_v6.1_ww.exe"; it's Version 61.093.02.77 (dated 3 Jun 2010). Make sure the printer's USB cable is not plugged in until the installation routine asks you to do so.

Update 2/1/2013: Today Windows Update installed driver 61.93.2.77 dated 4/15/2010. It's a version of the clunk driver that existed under Vista and Windows 7 rather than the improved driver that initially installed with Windows 8. You can't set the printer to print at ProRes 1200 (1200 x 1200) at all times. Instead, it defaults to FastRes 1200 (600 x 600 with enhancements to make it look better).I created customized 1-sided and 2-sided definitions as follows: Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printer > HP Laserjet P2055dn. Click Customize Your Printer > Preferences. Click General Everyday Printing under Printing Shortcuts. Then click Paper/Quality and select ProRes 1200. Click Printing Shortcuts, then Save As... and save your setting as "1-sided". Do the same for Two-sided (Duplex) Printing and save your new definition as "2-sided". Use these shortcuts to print to avoid the substandard default print quality.Since the WordPerfect envelope printing function automatically selects the printer's default resolution, there seems to be no way to make this printer operate at ProRes 1200 when printing envelopes in WordPerfect. ProRes 1200 ought to be the default print quality or at least users should have the option of making it the default print quality. Isn't there anybody at HP who knows how to write a competent printer driver?Update re Windows 8: A new driver with simplified setup screens was installed by Windows 8x64. While it apparently is no longer possible to create your own print definitions, it finally is possible to force the printer to print in High quality at all times. Here are the steps needed to set up the printer in Windows 8:Devices & Printers >> HP LaserJet P2055dn >> Printer Actions >> Customize Your PrinterFrom the Customize Your Printer screen:1. There obviously was no competent usability testing on this, as on Windows 8, which requires a third-party Start Menu (Start8) and third-party Desktop Gadgets (Gadgets8) to get back useful features that Microsoft eliminated.Firmware dated July 2012 is now available on the HP website, but it is listed under Windows 7x64 and not Windows 8x64, perhaps due to an oversight, or perhaps due to a problem or incomplete testing. Since the 2010 firmware seems to be working with Windows 8x64, I'll stick with it for now. See the HP firmware/driver update page:h20000.[...]Previous update: 1. If your printer hangs on some jobs, it's because you have a buggy version of firmware. The latest firmware version for this printer was released in October 2010. If you have earlier firmware, you should download the new firmware from the HP website. I purchased this from Amazon through one of their affiliated suppliers. When I tried to install it I got, from the installation disk, an error message concerning a system administrator. This was being installed on a new Dell computer running Windows 7. I tried the fixes suggested on the installation page and none worked. I then went to the HP service page and got connected to a tech in India. He took control of the computer and try to install it. Nothing worked. You would think, since Windows 7 has been out for several years, HP would have an installation disk that actually installs the product. What good is it if you can't install it? Now I am trying to return the product. I might need to have my credit card issuer block the payment if I don't hear from Aamazon.

This replaced an older HP. It prints fast and, compared to the older model, does not take the time to warm up, giving the first page rapidly. Duplex printing is another advantage over the old printer.It is noisy compared to the old printer it replaced and compared to several newer laser printers I have at my office. I switched to quiet mode for routine printing which reduces the noise to a more tolerable level. It reduces the speed but it is so fast to begin with that this hasn't been an issue, and there remains the alternative to turn off quiet mode to speed it up for bigger jobs.The driver might have been an issue as it doesn't work well with the supplied driver but another review here provided the name of the driver which works. (I am using Windows 7).

Chose to buy this printer for the following reasons: (1) Tired of replacing inkjet cartridges (2) Built in networking (3) Automatic duplex printing to save paper and (4) Didn't care for color (since 90% of the time, we manually adjust print jobs to do B/W anyways) - not to mention replacing ink/toner is ALOT cheaper!Product was extremely easy to install and set up. Was worried about the noise level after reading reviews, but after having used it for myself, noise level does not bother me since it is completely silent on ready/standby and we'd choose quicker noisier printing over slower quieter printing any day. We were quite happy with our purchase for the first several print jobs - the problem came after we tried to manually feed an envelope. Every time we tried to print afterwards, we'd get an error saying to clear a jam on tray 2. Obviously, we knew that there wasn't a jam because the envelope got printed (quite well, btw) and there were no jams prior to that (we checked anyway).So we called HP support with the mindset that we'd probably have to return the product for refund/exchange since we don't have very high expectations of customer support to begin with. The first surprise was that we got a hold of a real person within probably a minute at most. The rep went through the usual troubleshooting procedures that you might expect, but found nothing interesting. Then after placing me on hold for about 5 minutes, he came back and asked me to try and follow some instructions to remove the main roller from the top of the paper tray. This was the first procedure that we weren't expecting as it was somewhat involved and getting the roller back on was even more trickier. Nevertheless, with my wife's help (she has smaller hands) we were able to get the roller back on (after putting the rep on hold for about 10 minutes). At this point, the only interesting thing discovered as to the cause of the paper jam indicator was that the main roller in fact does NOT move when it is supposed to in trying to feed itself the paper. So while we were getting a bit closer to trying to solve the problem, it also seemed as though we were exhausting all of the procedures the rep could offer in trying to figure out now what's causing the roller not to move - that is, until after he put me on hold for yet another 5 minutes and came back with the second surprise which I would have never thought they'd ask me to do over the phone. They asked me to completely remove the right side panel of the laser printer with a screw driver. Once we did that we noticed a plastic arm that was obviously not connected to anything else and moving freely. We had a hard time explaining to the rep exactly what we were looking at, so we asked if we can snap a few photos and send it to him. Having received them, he pointed out to us where this dangling arm was supposed to hook up to and lo and behold, that fixed the problem! The rep was quick to point out that the procedure of opening up the side panel is something they don't recommend the average user to do, but because we were able to take off the main roller and put it back on we unknowingly passed this little test to show we were quite competent to go even further.Having said all of this, we were quite ecstatic to have a working printer again without having to go through the pain of shipping it back, not to mention we were quite pleased with the price of this model since there is no other HP-branded laser printer of this price that has both network capabilities and double-sided printing!Although the total duration of the call with HP's customer support was about 2 hours, we couldn't be happier with this product along with their customer support if HP is successful in providing similar levels of support and value to other customers who purchase this item. Hope you enjoyed this review as I tried to be fair and include a lot of details so that it might be beneficial to some people out there who might encounter a similar problem.

I use this printer at my desk to print documents, envelopes, and labels for a law office. It works great for all three, even on heavier paper. The only problem I've had so far is that if you print one label at a time and run the label page through several times, it begins to leave a gray film on the labels. With the problems I've had with the other printers we've tried, I don't print labels enough for this to really matter. I don't have to replace paper often, but if you print a lot, you might want to get the additional paper tray. The feeder works great.

Over the last 8 years or so, I worked in an office that made heavy use of our network printers. The workhorse was a HP 4050, which are still available here as a refurb. It was a very reliable printer that only needed servicing after tens of thousands of copies, i.e., extensive use. This printer is relatively similar in design. It copies quickly and accurately. The paper feed is well designed. It feeds envelopes and labels manually with no problem.There is one issue I would warn anyone who wishes to share it on a network. We have had other brands that were easy to use from multiple computers on our in-home network. Apparently, there is a "networking: version of this machine. It (HP2055dn) will cost you roughly about 100.00 more. My 18 YO computer wiz was able to find a USB device that would allow us to bypass the firmware block (yes, the machine is designed so it can not easily be networked)and utilze it from our full network. That device cost about 60.00, but it took my son (who is very good at these things) about 3 hours to research install.It also prints two-sides simultaneously, a feature my paper-saving wife loves. The copies are clean and neat, and it does have a good "power saver" feature. It also utilizes a larger cartridge, similar to the one used on the 4050 model. These run about 60.00, but they are fairly economical per copy. You won't have to change the cartridge nearly as often than with cheaper printers, which are usually loss leaders made to sell obscene amounts of ink cartridges.

I have always been a huge fan of HP products in the past hense my purchase of the printer. Unfortuneately this printer has been nothing but a pain. The day I installed it, it would not recognize the paper tray. I called Tech Support and they advised me I was suppose to bend the aluminum bracket that catches a clip on the bottom of the tray. After I did that, it worked a couple times, but has not worked properly since that day. I should have returned it but I can not go without a printer (we are a small business.) Constantly, I have to pull the tray and put it back in until the printer finally recognizes the tray. This printer is suppose to print 33ppm, unfortuneately it will not allow me to put in more than approximately 50 sheets at a time. Very disappointing!!!! I love how fast it is and how the clean the copy is printed. But constantly dealing with the paper tray makes this printer a POS!

This is the second HP 2055DN I own. The first one worked perfectly with Vista & XP. The disk provided does not have the drivers for windows 7 that work properly. After many hours on the phone with HP tech support and many tries to fix it it still does not work.I am going to return it and get a cannon that does work with windows 7

I bought this HP Laserjet P2055d Printer when it was on sale for about 200. I've been using it for over 6 months now and have had no problems with it. Set up on both Windows and Mac were both easy and straightforward. I do a lot of printing so being able to automatically print on both sides of the paper really fast was an important feature for me, and this printer has not disappointed.

I have used this black-and-white printer in my patent law office for about a year and for 10,000+ pages. The printer does a great job on business documents and graphics. It is quick and quiet. I use the duplexing feature a lot and it consistently feeds well. I cannot recall my last paper jam. My only complaint is that the toner does not fully fuse to textured envelopes, but this is a problem that I've had with several different printers.

I have had this printer for two years now and it never gave me problems. Installation on my iMac was a matter of seconds, easy! The printer is fast and reliable. Only black and white, which is what I need. No fax (I refuse to use fax any more) and no copying machine, and I also have a separate scanner. So for a straightforward laser B&W this is it! I am happy to see that HP still has it on offer after two years, sometimes these items get replaced fast. It is a testimony to its success! I think it will stay several more years on my desktop!

I have this model printer on half of my staff's desks. We use it all day long every day, and it does a great job. Low cost, reliable, easy to use but full featured. Love it!

we have been using the hp laser jet p2055d printer for a couple of weeks, and find it works very well.the print is clear and easily legible. operation is not complicated and so far we are very satisfied.could use a short sheet of set-up and use instructions.

Do not let the plastic feel of this printer fool you! It is a powerful office workhorse that is fast and reliable. I have had three main printers over the last twenty years all HP all outlived and out preformed my expectations. This one appears to be just as good as its predecessors.

This is a good printer but it uses way too much toner. I have had 3 other HP Laser Jet printers and this one uses the most toner by two to three fold. I am considering throwing these in the trash and buying a different one because at $88.00 / toner the cost is prohibitive. HP really messed up with this unit.

This laser jet printer works great with Mac OS X. The drivers are already built into the operating system -- just cable it up and go. The printer is very fast relative to the inkjet printers that I have used previously. I don't find noise to be a problem with this device. The printer has very quiet fans and really can only be heard when actually printing. After printing, it quiets down quickly. Print quality is excellent. Automatic duplex printing works really well. Overall, I am very pleased with this printer. My only regret is that I didn't purchase it sooner. If in doubt, give this printer a try. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended for the home and home office user.

I bought this printer to replace a similar HP printer (LaserJet 2100M) whose paper transport had become unreliable. My experience with this one has been good and generally consistent with the majority of other reviews here. Based on what I read, I was prepared for a noisy device, but I have been pleasantly surprised. The printer is indeed noisy when initially powered on, but that lasts about 10 seconds, after which the noise level decreases to a low whirr for another 20-30 seconds, followed by complete silence until it is used. The noise level naturally increases when it is actively printing, but the level seems no worse that that of any other home printers I've used that print at the same speed. Some reviewers report having to turn on Quiet Mode, which reduces printing speed. I didn't find that necessary; the default behavior (Quiet Mode off) was fine. Of course, some people are more sensitive to noise than others, and the environment in which the printer is being used is a factor, too.The physical setup and installation instructions are comprehensive and flawless. I especially like the animations showing how to remove hidden pieces of packing material, which I might not otherwise have gotten right. The configuration process is also very clear (I'm using the network interface, not USB) and worked without a hitch. Well done, HP.If you plan to use this printer for straight-through printing, be aware that the paper comes straight out of the back, meaning that you must leave sufficient space behind it. To activate th straight-through paper path you simply open a door at the rear within a larger panel that also opens (for clearing jams). It's important to get this right, and while the documentation is explicit, the warning is easy to overlook, and it's easy to make a mistake in practice. Finally, there is no bin to catch the paper coming out the back, so you have to make other provisions. Of course, none of this is relevant for the normal printing path, which deposits the paper in the main output bin on top.Overall, a very satisfactory printer for my home office.

The HP P2055d LaserJet printer has pleasant appearance with a very basic set up procedure.All instructions are included on install disk the disk should have a simple physical overview of printer on disk before starting the installation process.The print quality is very good the speed of the printer in real life print jobs that's printing in duplex mode is not 32 pages per Min.The printer didn't come with USB cable there should have been one included with the printer.Overall rating this is a very good printer the printer installed easily on all three Windows platforms XP, Vista, and Win7 (32 & 64 bits versions).If you need to share the printer with other computers over a network the P2055dn is a better choice.I had no problem with connecting the printer to a print share deviceThe ability of this printer to take the high yield toner cartages makes this printer very economical to use.

this thing is crap, I guarantee that you will hate it! HP used to make great printers solid performers that mostly you could not wear out. Now they have sold their soul to china! Next time I will buy one made by japan.

I ordered this printer because I was looking for one which would allow me to print envelopes without having to flip a door down in the back of the printer to create a straighter paper path. I use this printer under my desk and I wanted all of the outputs to end up at the top. This model prints envelopes perfectly. It's a little louder than most printers, but it's still acceptable. The automatic duplexing feature is very nice, and will help to cut down my paper usage. I did have one issue with print quality that I'm working with HP to resolve. The printed image has a grey cast over the entire page, as if something isn't quite right with the drum. I'll be sure to come back an edit this review once I find out what the problem is. I'm not that worried about it, as I'm sure HP will make good on this. Would have liked to have wireless networking too, like some of the Brother units in this price range.

I have 2 of these in my office and was thrilled at first, they are fast and easy to set up really. I'm not sure whats up with HP lately. I've got plenty of warranty on the printer, but they won't back it up at all. I've called in twice now to see if I can get it serviced, but no luck, they keep making an excuse that they won't take the printer back to service it. They just tell you to run the auto clean program and switch the ink cartridge. I tried changing cartridges, cleaned everything inside, but it turns all of my paper into rolled up dog eared lumps and they refuse to service it.I'm bummed.-J

I have owned it for almost a month. I bought it for the two sided printing which works flawlessly. Text printing quality is absolutely outstanding, especially if you set it to the highest quality 1200 resolution (called prores). I have done some limited graph and image printing. No complaints there but I focus on text quality.Paper tray use and adjustment is very easy and toner replacement also simple. I haven't done envelopes as I use a label printer so no idea how well envelopes work. Network installation in a home office was simple and straightforward. I us os X and the driver has a nice booklet printing feature that I find very useful. The printer does business cards on card stock which I have found problematic on other lasers. It also has the option of a straight paper path which is highly useful for some kinds of jobs. It can be set to a quiet mode that slows things down to about half speed, but even that speed is fine for most jobs and can be easily reset for the few big ones I do. One negative is that even in quiet mode it is a little loud, not overwhelming, but that is the only (very slight negative). Another downside is on the windows side (which I run from a virtual machine now and then). The windows drivers have an intrusive autoupdate feature that I have not figured how to disable. Also, it comes with a starter toner cartridge (maybe 1600 pages) which means having to add the cost of a full cartridge pretty soon. The positive here is that there are two replacement toners, a 2500 pager and a huge 6300 pager. Too bad Amazon doesn't sell these directly so I can't use Amazon prime. My final complaint is the lack of a printed manual - you have to rely on the .pdf on the install disk. Unfortunately, this seems standard for all manufacturers. By the way downloading and installing the latest drivers for os X was a piece of cake.I have been very critical of some other HP products in the past, but this one is a winner.

Buy the P2055 instead of the P2035. it costs a little extra but it's worth it. The P2055 will take the high yield cartridge. The P2035 will not. You could save hundreds of dollars over the life of this machine using the high yield cartridge.. Plus, it is fast, quiet, and the first page comes out fast.
