I manage an undergrad lab area with four of these printers. They are just about maintenance-free, except for replacing the toner and running a cleaning page once in a while. They start printing within seconds and spit out about a page a second. With the number of pages these things go through in a month, it's amazing how few problems there are. The configurable network settings are a huge benefit, since it means I can allow instrumentation to print to any printer in the lab once I set up the printer's IP address and options. Before this, we were using a fleet of half a dozen inkjet printers (Epson C88 styluses - ugh, never again), and the amount of printer-related aggravation dropped by an order of magnitude once I switched over. I also have a duplexer on one of them, which allows me to print double-sided handouts in no time.

This is one of the best small office laser printers on the market. We have been though multiple Brother and Samsung printers, but they do not hold a candle to the HP. The company has done an excellent job of refurbishing these used machines. The one we got looked almost new. We will be back when we need to add to our network printing capabilities.

Could not have had a faster, easier and inexpensive replacement for my Laserjet 4100 Printer. The assembly came within a few days and was installed within minutes. I have been using it for the past 6 weeks without any complaints whatsoever. The enclosed 'return shipping label' made it a cinch to return the defective assembly. Overall, a great solution.

This cartridge works just as good as the original HP - but for a fraction of the price. The quality of the printing is as good as the original manufactures cartridge. I'm not sure if it will last as long as the original, but even if it doesn't, that's OK too. Keep in mind you are saving about $100 by buying this cartridge!!

We received the printer 3 weeks ago, and we're having paper jams. Time for a return. We have purchased 4 or 5 printers from these folks and this is the first time we've had a problem.

Purchased this toner for an HP 4100 and it has horrible print quality. Ended up putting the old HP toner cartridge back in, even though it is low, it still works well. The pages were all streaked with toner with this product, had worst print quality, some pages had dark spots, some were light. Pay extra and get something that will work. Totally disgusted and will never purchase from this source in the future. Too bad there is no option for zero stars.

I bought my HP 4100 MFP in June 2003. This is a small office, with 4 people printing on it every day; many jobs hundreds of pages each. Never jammed. Always dependable. Envelope feeder flawless! Plus scanning and faxing in and out. It finally died today. Over the years, maybe $400 in maintenance and repair costs. A great value! Just bought another, and will reuse the fax module, envelope feeder and extra paper trays.

Apparently ordering an HP 4250 maintenance kit gives you a 50% chance of ordering the correct part. We had been a good little organization and ordered a backup fuser kit for our HP 4250 almost a year ago. Our fuser went bad. Installed the fuser from our inventory part number RM1-1082 - [THIS KIT]. Next, our printer gave a 13.20.00 error saying to clear a paper jam though there was no paper jam. (Nice job of the engineer's part for the correct description of the problem) Put the old fuser back in and jam was gone though printing still smeared and crumpled. Upon searching the chat forms others had noticed that there is a difference between RM1-1082 and RM1-0013. It's been 11 months since I ordered the part and now I've no hope to return a never-used $210 fuser as the "return window" expired February 2011.

I got this toner to replace the cartridge at work. Our HP 4250DTN seems to last and last.I was worried about buying a non-HP branded toner. I've had trouble in the past. This toner did spew some toner on me immediately after removing the one strip that you have to remove before insertion into the printer. That worried me. Two weeks later, all is well. Black ink just as expected. I have no complaints and the price is right.

I would recommended this printer because it prints very fast and prints on all types of paper. I have had no complaints with printer so far. We bought it to use in our church office, networked to four computers.

The product was terrible. As soon as I inserted it in the printer, black marks appeared everywhere. It finally got to the point where each page printed entirely black. This item was worn out when it arrived.

The invoice reads that this is a new product and lists the HP part number indicating that it is a genuine HP part. Although so far (20 minutes), the product appears to work properly, it does not have any indication of being a genuine HP part -- no box label, nor labels on the actual part. The image shown as of 11/1/11 is misleading as it shows HP packaging.Also... the instructions were correct mostly but the part on resetting the maintenance counter is incorrect. After looking it up on another website, I discovered that the Check button must be held down when the memory check begins and not when the printer is turned on as the instructions stated.

This was the real deal: a genuine HP printer maintenance kit in a retail box, like what you would buy at an office supply store. I have bought HP maint kits from other online retailers before, but they are usually HP surplus parts, packaged by the seller. This kit was the genuine thing, factory sealed by HP. The kit includes almost everything you would need. It would be nice if HP could include a separation pad (the flat rubber platform that the manual feed roller rotates on) with their kit but they don't deem it necessary. The kit is easy to install and takes just minutes. The price of the kit was excellent. Most stores charge about $300 for the kit. My only complaint is that the box I received had a gouge through the bottom of it. Luckily, the fuser was not damaged. (The kit had an outer-shipping box, so it was not damaged in shipping, the damage was done at the warehouse and was probably why it was on sale at such a discount).

Every printed page has so many toner spots all over it that it's completely unacceptable --- which the previous (HP) cartridge NEVER did.I've just ordered a REAL HP cartridge.I'm going to try to find some place to send this for recycling... even though it's printed only about 25 pages and isn't worth being recycled... I just don't want to throw it in the trash.I would love to be able to save the money and buy compatible.. but this particular brand is NOT RECOMMENDED!

I use this cartridge for papers that aren't really important. The ink comes out light. I switch and use the original expensive cartridge for important things. So this saves money and works okay but it wouldn't be my only cartridge.

Nicely packed and it arrived in great condition as advertised. I love this old printer and for a office application these old printers are work horses and are easy to set up and use. For the money this is hard to beat!

I bought this printer new in 2005. 6 yrs later, in 2011, this printer hasn't given me a single problem. Not. One. Problem. It's still as fast as it was the day I bought it. It can spit out thousand page jobs without a single hiccup.If everything worked as well as this printer, cars would get 200 mpg and never need to be replaced!I also like the HP web interface for checking and administering the printer on my local ethernet network. Installing network printer drivers on multiple networked computers is as easy as could be.As perfect a printer as I've ever used. I expect this printer will keep going for another 7 years at least.

I ordered two toner cartridges with this order. The first one only printed 2500 sheets then said it was out of toner. The second one is still printing... 4500 and counting. The print quality is good but the yield certainty is not there, or not on a consistent basis.

I installed this Maintenance Kit just to find out that it was defective. Store will not exchange product or give a store credit. I was told pretty much to take the $279 loss and live with it. When I called the manufacturer they told me that the retailer is responsible for the return but they said no way. Buyer beware.

I bought this toner from this company before and didn't have a problem. Well now I have a problem with a toner spilling all over the inside of my printer, and toner showing up on the page where it shouldn't.It's not rocket science. Who mickey moused this thing together?

Thought I was getting the original HP maintenance Kit. They even have a picture with the HP box and nothing on the site said it was re-manufactured. Got their refurbished / recycle / re-manufactured maintenance Kit. Was extremely disappointing.

The printouts with graphics have wavy patterns within them & running clean sheets didn't work well enough. Product wouldn't have been worth sending back due to shipping costs and time. Prints text perfect but something wrong with the print drum.

This cartridge works very well in our HP Laserjet 4250N printer at work. I ordered two of these for the huge workload we have to do every month with the printer. It prints clearly and the price point is the best on the internet. The cartridge detects as a genuine HP product in the printer, so the printer doesn't balk at using it at all. For a generic, this is one of the best deals out there. We could never afford the genuine HP replacement for this cartridge! I recommend this toner cartridge to anyone using the HP LJ 4250 series of printers.

ENTIRE PAGE PRODUCES A GREY FILM OVER THE PRINTED PAGES AS SOON AS PUT IN THE PRINTER. I REPLACED THE MAINTENANCE KIT THAT'S NOT IT. IT WAS THE TONER ***DO NOT BUY*** WILL GET YOU FIRED!

the machine is great but the setup was very diffucult.the machine jet direct card was not reset and Hp no longer offers a jet direct card or software. the fire wire port was broken. had to pay an IT tech 350 to get the printer working.

I have updated my review as it seems only the chip on the cartridge does not seem to work right.The printer assumes it has only 25% ink left and will do only ~1400 prints, however now after 1200 prints it still says the same.I assume it will end up printing it's usual ~10k pages that this type of cartridge should do.Only the display until then will be off.For now I changed my review to from 1 star to 4 star, but might be updating it again depending on the final results.---- BELOW Original Review ----We have just swapped out our C8061X cartridge out of our HP 4100 and put in the new "61X" as it is called here.Unfortunately the cartridge seems to be only an C8061A and of very low ink level too.We printer 100 pages and the Supply Status Page now shows the following :HP Black TonerGauge : 25%HP Part Number : C8061ATotal Pages Printed : 108Estimated Remaining Pages : 1405Even an A type cartridge should do 6,000-9,000 prints.An X type cartridge should do 10,000 - 13,000 prints.The last X type cartridge lasted for 11,800 prints.This purchase was a complete failure and rip off as the product was labeled as X but even worse than an A cartridge.I have another one as we bought 2.Will test the second one and write another review in a few days.

Decent by today's means, but the older HP's are made with metal parts that really withstand the test of time.However, these newer models will spit out a page fairly quickly and the web interface to modify the settings is a nice touch.These play well in a small business networked environment.I still prefer my older 4000's instead.

Bought this for my HP 4240N and consistently around 6000-7000 pages per toner cartridge.Never had leaking from this cartridge.Bought a higher capacity version from OfficeMax but that one was rejected in the printer and had to be returned.Been buying this 3-4 at a time from Amazon and am very satisfied.

so i purchased this printer for my hp 4100 and when i popped it in it said that this was not an hp toner hit go to continue so i dont know if it will work as good but i printed out a couple of pages and it seemed to work fine i dont know yet

I was a little skeptical to buy this toner, but it was appr. $100 cheaper than the name brand version. I have been using it now for probably six months. I have had absolutely no problems with this cartridge. The ONLY difference I noticed was on draft print. This cartridge seems to be a little lighter than the original version. That was not an issue for me. It looks wonderful on normal print. I will definitely purchase another one when needed.

This cartridge sells for $145.00 on a very popular office supply website - I couldn't believe that I actually puchased it here for SO much less! It works perfectly, I can't tell the difference between the name-brand and remanufactured one. I will only purchase this on Amazon for my office!

This product was delivered as advertised .. on time and with all components (plus extra rollers).. the directions were easy to follow and by doing the job myself I save the firm 100's of dollars that we would have spent to have a specialist come in repair.

This HP Laserjet 4050N is the best printer on the market for the price. The reasons I purchase this printer is because we had such great luck at work with HP 4050N. It is a old rebuilt printer but it works better than new one and will last longer (in my opinion).Great Printer and we love it in our home office..

As others have noted, this printer is ridiculously fast. Even when it's hibernating in sleep mode, it only takes about 10 seconds for it to wake up, and start printing.It's an extremely reliable workhorse- I've printed at least 20-30,000 pages to mine without a single paper jam. All I do is refill it with paper, and the occasional printer cartridge.Only downside- no duplexing on this particular model. I have to take the paper out, reverse it, rotate it, then put it back in.

We got this printer for our home, where we have a wireless network and five laptop users, all students or instructors in higher education. I had this model at work for years and thought it was time to get a "real" printer instead of the flimsy personal models at the big box stores. We were able to get the printer connected to our home network in a snap and enjoy relatively carefree and reliable printing. One problem was jamming when we tried to recycle paper, especially thinner than normal paper. That caused some serious hunting for torn off edges stuck in hidden printer parts! Since that experiment in green printing everything's been fine.

I've installed a dozen of these printers on our office network beginning about 3 years ago. All are still up and running. Low maintenance workhorses, all I've had to do is purchase more toner cartridges as needed. Compared to our old Xerox printers, these are a dream come true. No fusers, transfer kits, main charge grids, or imaging units to replace. Easy to follow configuration and help screens makes it simple to set up as stand-alones or on a network. I've tried a couple of "lighter-duty" HP laser printers and found the 4250n to be a better machine and well worth the extra money in the long run.

We have had one of these printers now for more than a year and have yet to have the first problem with it. It prints fast and even at lower resolutions the print quality is still excellent. I am currently getting ready to purchase another one.So far we have had no problems with this printer and hope that it stays that way. Ii would gladly recommend it to others.

We have about 6 LaserJet 4050 printers and we are generally happy with them; however, there is a serious problem with the print feed rollers on these machines. We find that users complain of paper jams after a few thousand prints. It is always the case that the paper has not actually jammed, but is sitting on the hold down brackets because the lower pf roller has warn and can't pick it up. Replacing the pf rollers resolves the issue, but is a constant problem (pf roller run around $4.00 each).
