Excellent build and performance for the Sony SEL 10-18mm wide-angle lens
I typically use B+W filters but needed an ultra thin, low profile alternative for my Sony SEL 10-18mm wide-angle lens. Standard size filters can cause vignetting on a lens with this wide-angle range and the ultra thin B+W CPL alternative required it's own slip-on cap. I'm able to use the Hoya Pro1 Digital MC PL-C filter with excellent results and still able to use the original Sony lens cap. I have been very satisfied with the build and performance of this filter for the landscape work I've done and would not hesitate to purchase another one.

Great design and high quality optic
I was so happy with the circular polarizer that I gave away my canon circular polarizer, to a new friend. The canon circular polarizer was also a new one, multicoated, unlike the nikon circular polarizer I own for years. The nikon circular polarizer I own is heavy, 62mm with a 72mm front thread. I do spend a lot for polarizing filters, consider I am not professional photographer. This one, the hoya 62mm DMC Pro I is the best I have. Very happy with the purchase, highly recommandable.

This is a must-have for my needs: landscape photography. It fits the bill at a nice price. The only problem I have had with this is on my end. When screwing it on, it's easy to go too far and have the lens threads lock-up, making it hard (impossible) to unscrew. That's no fun in the field and I've read where this is not uncommon. My advice is that you order a filter wrench at the same time you order this.

Probably spent too much, I can't tell you a cheaper or non-coated filter would not do the job, but I have been using Hoya multi-coated filters for decades, and they have never disappointed. Also, nice and thin for a wide-angle lens.

Great filter, but buy a filter wrench.
Its a polarizer. It does what its supposed to do with no degradation in image quality. The filter is a little thin and I would highly suggest purchasing a filter wrench with this filter if you ever want to get it off of the lens ever again.

Hoya 62mms Circular Polarizing Multi-coated Glass Filter.
I personally really like Hoya filters. These are not your ten dollar filters, these are mid-range, quality filters that actually do what's expected. If you're a serious photographer than you know you have to invest in quality products to achieve the results you want.

Easy to see the results...
Ok, I have not used it alot, but what I am seeing, I really like. Makes our bright white clouds pop in our gorgeous deep blue skies. I want to see how it works in water.

"Fingerprint Art" on the filter!!!
Got this filter for my canon 1.8 stm lens. There wasnt any records listed that this filter would fit the lens i own. Took the risk. It fits well. Thought this review would help someone, who's looking a uv filter for the same lens.
The reason why i gave it only 3 star because the packaging wasnt professional and there's lots of fingerprints on the glass!!! Its a serious matter to beginners who has just started photography and dont have the solutions to clean the glass!!
Other than Hoya filters always gets the job done👌

Absolutely useless
After ordering for this item out of impulse, since it was bought along with the prime lens, I discovered that it's a useless piece of junk.
After receiving the item i tried it indoors and outdoors. Apart from providing extra protection to my lens, the filter does NOTHING. I should have gone for the ND and Polarizer filters. But that is hindsight.
Conclusion: the build quality is good, but this filter is obsolete. Please spend your money on ND and polarizer filters instead.

Hoya Filter
The filter has been made well and protects the lens on travel. Also no issues with picture quality. Although that depends more on the skill of the photographer than on filter. Had to return the first one as it had a minor dot scratch. But the replacement is perfect. Though a delay of few weeks in getting the final product.

Great filter
I always get Hoya filters for my lenses, I got this one for my Tokina 11-16 lens. Hasn't scratched in 10-11 months of use and is easy to clean.
No aberrations seen during daytime use, but remember to take it off at night, otherwise you will see ghosts near sources of light.

Value for money high quality filters
Hoya makes the best filter products out of metal ring and high quality glass. For a lense with a high price this is the only justified product without image quality or sharpness distortion. This saves the lens glad from weather elements and can be easily cleaned or replaced instead of expensive lens element repair. Must have product

Filter works, but disappointed that it came with spots on it.
The product states it was made in the Philippines. The lens arrived with some spots, which was disappointing. After cleaning, I used to take some sample shots. There is a slight difference with a little reduction in haziness. Naturally, some light is blocked and exposures need to be longer. I have used Hoya products in the past with an SLR camera (pre-digital era) and the quality was excellent. I will update the review after more usage.

not worth the money
The filter came with two dots on it. I used wet wipes but it didn't work 😕 and later I found out that its stuck to the glass pretty strongly and I was able to feel it when I ran my finger over it, I tried to remove it by slightly scratching with my nails but no use. It could be a defective glass

Serves the purpose. Nice fit but prone to scratches and spots.
Pro: the quality is good and the price is affordable. It's better than any other uv filter in this range. Fits perfectly and you don't see much difference in picture quality.
Con: the film quality is a little brittle so anything that touches the filter might scratch it.
I just wanted to buy it to protect my kit lens and as it happens it works amazingly well.

Great
Very good filter for the lens. There is no deterioration of the picture quality. It is easy to install and does protect the expensive main lens. I have been using Hoya filters for some time and found them to be cost effective. Strongly recommended.

Excellent, reputed no-nonsense product
Bought it to protect one of my lenses, because my earlier filter had acquired some stubborn stains. It does the job perfectly well. I use very sharp prime lenses, and this filter is more than good enough for them.

Most of the new dslr lens don't need a uv filter because the sensor has uv compensation. I use it to protect the lens from smuggling and dust ingres

Quality not upto the hype.
I have bought this 52mm filter for mi Nikon 50mm F1.8D lens. I haven't used it for 2 weeks and I stored it in the box provided by Hoya. But after two weeks, some kind of mould start to grow within the glass pieces.
Pros:
Can be used for physical protection of front elements of lens.
Cons:
Quality not upto Hoya
Not good for long term usage
Mould starts to grow if left unused

Avoid The Product
Quality of the product is not upto the mark....product is made in Phillipins.
Picture quality detoriation can not seen, but cleaning leaves smudges. Threads also have some issue, as it can not be fitted very easily.
Overall it is not an ideal product to buy, though selling cheap.

Safest bet to order from amazon!
With a promise of assuring quality products at great prices and sooner than timely delivery, I have only good things to say about amazon! About the filter, I bought it for my 50 mm 1.8 G prime lense and it fits perfectly! Doint what it says, my lense is now safe against dust, damage and 'finger prints'! The price I feel is fine as I'd rather shell out a few more hundreds than take something that may mess with the quality of the picture!
